Spiritual Astrology in May-June 2008 Pt. 3 - Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in Unknown Zones Still Releasing Eclipse Effects

by Robert Wilkinson

All three outer Transpersonal planets now occupy zones they haven't been in for a long time. Having moved through familiar degree spans in late 2007, Uranus is now in the last decan of Pisces, Neptune is firmly in the last part of Aquarius, and Pluto is in Capricorn for the first time since 1762. These months we're asserting our authority and receiving blessings, being more conscious in choosing our behaviors, and codifying new values so we can greet a new life order.

Happy Video Birthday to American Idol Steven Colbert

by Robert Wilkinson

Man-meat that he says he is, it's time to offer a birthday shout-out to THE American icon of our times, the august Steven Colbert. No, not Col-bert. He pronounces his name "Cole-bare" (spelled that way since Steven feels that bears are the numero uno "threat down" in America, and a man-meat couldn't possibly resist the word "bare.") A happy video birthday below the fold, as "they" call it.

Spiritual Astrology in May-June 2008 Pt. 2 - Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto All Retrograding At Thresholds of New Spiritual Frontiers

by Robert Wilkinson

In the early months of the year the outer planets enter unknown zones of Spiritual futures indicated by degree spans not experienced in close to a century or more. This three-fold series of Higher Pulses each and together give us glimpses of phases of experience we've never known before. In Spring they each go retrograde at various points in time. By mid-Summer, they are all retrograde, bringing newer, deeper insights and connectedness with the Divine Process.

Happy Mothers Day 2008

by Robert Wilkinson

Happy Mother's Day to everyone! This day honors all mothers everywhere, as well as their mothers and grandmothers and great-grandmothers back to the beginning of time. It has an interesting history and intention which has nothing to do with the modern commercial form of this celebration of mothers. It originally was a day dedicated to pacifism and disarmament.

Spiritual Astrology in May-June 2008 Pt. 1 - Retrograde Jupiter Bringing Rewards for Courage Dancing With Saturn Direct at the Threshold of A Liberating Ordeal

by Robert Wilkinson

Jupiter and Saturn transform energies of the Transpersonal Invisible Triad into widespread social influences within which our personalities operate in local conditions, however wide or narrow our field of influence. They show the pulses of inner and outer progress in a larger field of interactive experiences on social, cultural, and global levels. These months begin a new Saturn phase and prepare us to receive recognition for our courage and perseverance since September 2007.

Rick Nelson - A Happy Video Birthday

by Robert Wilkinson

Got so caught up in work today I almost forgot to honor one of the great rock and rollers of all time. As Bob Dylan once put it, "He sang his songs calm and steady like he was in the middle of a storm, men hurling past him. His voice was sort of mysterious and made you fall into a certain mood."

As We Approach A New Era

by Robert Wilkinson

I wrote this a while ago, and it certainly has continued to become more "real" every month since then. The beginning: "Imagine, if you will, that you are approaching a threshold. As you draw nearer, you intensify, quicken. Every part of you wonders, in a deep and unfathomable way, what is approaching. Yet IT is now approaching, and we are approaching it even as IT is approaching us. The quickening intensifies..."

Today's New Moon in Taurus occurred at 5:18 am PDT at 16 degrees of Taurus. This New Moon is the promise that will be revealed beginning at the next Full Moon in Taurus, traditionally known as "The Wesak Festival," celebrating the birth and enlightenment of the Buddha. What Can We Do To Overcome Fear?

by Robert Wilkinson

Today we take a new look at how to deal with fear. As times get more uncertain and our lives become destabilized, fear is a natural response that quickly manifests to the degree we allow it. Sometimes we know what causes the fear to come up, other times we don't, but we still must find ways to antidote the fear that is present.

Astrology in Early May 2008 - The Grand Irrationality Intensifies With Mars in Cancer, Moon in Aries and Gemini, and Mercury in Gemini

by Robert Wilkinson

Today we explore more about the Grand Irrationality being triggered by Mars during the entire first week of May. As you know, Mars is at 26-29 Cancer, the focus in a septile-series "Kite" configuration where it triseptiles first Pluto and then Neptune. This activates the entire pattern of occupied and unoccupied points. Over the next few days these 3 planets will be joined in the 7-fold harmonic "Star" when the Moon is in the second decan of Aries and Mercury is 5-8 Gemini. This is one of the more important times of the entire year for everyone.

A Quick Look At What Astrology Is and Some Key Elements of our Human Reality

by Robert Wilkinson

This is part of a response I gave to a client who wondered how Astrology fits in with fate, free will, karma, and other "spiritual" things. Some of you have read some of this before, and this article pulls together some far reaching concepts as well as some basic core principles and factors.

A Brief Note on Answering Comments

Hi all - For those who haven't remembered what I posted in "Guidelines for Commenting," a reminder. I have an overwhelming work schedule and other things to do outside of this blog. While I realize what I write opens many questions, composing thoughtful answers takes time. If there are 20 questions, it will take me 2 hours to answer them. In the last week alone I got 118 comments and even more emails.

Astrology in April-May 2008 - The Grand Irrationality Is Triggered By Mars in late Cancer (Welcome to what Summer will bring)

by Robert Wilkinson

Right now Mars just finished quincunxing Neptune and is entering the exact zone of the triseptile with Pluto. With the Moon is in Aquarius conjuncting Neptune in the Grand Irrationalty, welcome to the hard edge of choosing the future. It would seem as though many are choosing their future "destiny," though of course anyone can always change course if they're not caught up in irrationality, compulsions, or prior unconscious factors. And just because we see it in another does not mean we have the power to make them differently.

Willie Nelson - A video 2008 Happy Birthday to an American Legend and Biodiesel Pioneer

by Robert Wilkinson

Today we give a huge Happy Birthday to someone who has definitely changed the world for the better, and continues to help America achieve energy independence. Yes, today I'll wish my Taurus friend Willie Nelson a heartfelt Happy Birthday. I got to know him in the 70s when I lived in Austin and helped make his "Fourth of July Picnics" a staple of Texas culture and history. As I said last year, this guy is a hero, friend of our farmers, and pioneer champion of biofuels. Free speech and other forms of plant power as well! Today we celebrate the 75th birthday of a genuinely great guy, but what else could you expect from a sweet Taurus? Happy Birthday, old friend - may you have many more. Multiple videos below the fold.

Another Aquarius Papers Anniversary and Astrology Blog Milestone

by Robert Wilkinson

This is the fourth anniversary of when I started the original Aquarius Papers - Astrology for All at Salon.com. Since then it's been a long strange trip and more! Initially I was unsure of how effective a "blog" would be, and over time I have found it to be a very effective communication device where people from all continents and walks of life can commune with others who share their interests. Today I'll offer you the first post I ever made as a blogger on April 28, 2004.

Astrology in April 2008 - A Personal Account of the Recent T-Square Releasing Energies of an Opposition, Sextile, and Trine

by Robert Wilkinson

I had to take a few days off to process some very challenging events triggered by last week's Cardinal T-square jarring things loose related to the Mars in Cancer opposed Jupiter in Capricorn. This was far more powerful than I would have imagined, as it exposed a ruthless betrayer and forced me to reconsider many things about two people I thought I knew. This served to reinforce my conviction that Free Will is almost everything in life, and that people still can do the wrong thing even when there's no particular advantage to them or anyone else in that behavior.

Roy Orbison – A video Happy Birthday

by Robert Wilkinson

Since this joint is about culture, when it's appropriate I celebrate birthdays of musicians I believe are above and beyond. April 23 marks the birthday of one of the greatest musical talents of the 20th Century. A contemporary of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins at Sun Records, he was one of the more unlikely looking rock stars ever to leave his immortal mark in music history.

Astrology in April-May-June 2008 - Jupiter Sextile Uranus Creating Yods, or Fingers of God, Across Generations

by Robert Wilkinson

A Yod, or Finger of God, is a configuration involving two planets in sextile (60 degree) aspect, with a third at the inverse midpoint making a quincunx (150 degree) aspect to the two planets in sextile. So as you could surmise, every sextile creates a Yod void point. Right now, with Jupiter at 22 Capricorn and Uranus at 22 Pisces, the inverse midpoint falls at 22 Leo, a very significant point for millions all over the world.

Having Trouble With Your Job, Career, or Life? Here Are Ways To Make Them Better!

by Robert Wilkinson

I wrote about these themes a while ago, and with the volume of mail I'm getting asking about how to change what needs to be changed in our economically unstable times, I thought I should re-post my take on how to move toward the job, career, profession, relationship, or life that we desire. I'll note here that it's all about learning "to think in the future," one of the survival tools we Truth seeking Souls must cultivate if we are to live and do well in the coming times of Earth changes and the accompanying global economic instability.

The Four Noble Truths and the Eight Fold Path of the Buddha

by Robert Wilkinson

Being the Wesak Festival, aka a Happy Buddha Birthday, I thought it would be good to offer you the core of what this timeless teacher realized were fundamental truths of life on Earth and how to end suffering. "The Light of Asia" made it fairly straightforward as to how to do this.
