We'll have the second Lunar Eclipse of 2009 at 16 degrees of Capricorn-Cancer on July 7 at 2:21 am PDT, 10:21 am Greenwich. Since Full Moons always fulfill the energies of the previous New Moon, this Eclipse will sprout the seeds of the recent June 2009 New Moon in Cancer. This Lunar Eclipse is also prelude to the much more powerful Solar Eclipse on July 21-22 at 30 Cancer. Both eclipses are shutting some old ways of life down forever (as all eclipses do), leaving us space to embrace new mutations that are coming on strong.

This New Moon in close opposition to Pluto marks a clear definition of the Bucket pattern shooting a massive amount of energy through Saturn's practical and discriminating focus. The Summer Solstice falls on June 20 at 10:46 pm PDT, June 21 CDT and points east. It's the longest day of the year, and said to be the point at which "free will" acts more powerfully than any other time. It is a point of decision, and kicks off Summer, the season of work, play, productivity, and lots of sunshine for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. If you're "down under," remember to have a little compassion for us up here in the north when December 21, the Winter Solstice, rolls around and we're freezing while you're enjoying the beach!
