Astrology Hot Zones for September 2005 - Mars influencing Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces

by Robert Wilkinson

Mars is the "tripwire" for activity in our charts. During September 2005, it moves from 18 Taurus through 24 Taurus, where it will go stationary retrograde until December 9 (December 10 AST and points east). People going through dynamic activity, a hectic fast-paced period, or those having the hardest time the first half of this month are Tauruses born the second week of May, Leos born the second week of August, Scorpios born the second week of November, and Aquarians born the second week of February. Pay attention to what's up this month, since Mars will retrograde over this exact span during the month of October.

Fundamentals of Astrology - How Does It Work?

by Robert Wilkinson

This article is a brief overview of how astrology works. Though some of you may have read it before, it may yield new insights if you check it out again. I cover a little on planetary basics, how fate and free will intersect in the craft and our lives, and how the nature of our character plays an important role in what comes forth as a result of astrological factors. There is no doubt much more to be discussed about all of these things, and the nuances will be developed in future articles, but for now, enjoy!

Astrology at Work - Horoscope Influences for late August-early September 2005 for all signs

by Robert Wilkinson

We should all be feeling pretty good in the next week or so due to the very favorable Venus conjunct Jupiter, both trine Neptune, indicating favorable connections, general harmonious conditions, and for some, the most amazingly perfect picture they could live. Of course, in astrology there's always at least one "fly in the ointment," and this week features the Sun opposed to Uranus, usualy indicating a high-strung time with flashes of brilliance and/or temperamental outbursts. It's a great time for trying something new, something innovative, something "outside the box," since the harmonious Air trines involving Venus, Jupiter, and Neptune generally show agreeable conditions within which the genius potential functions.

Dane Rudhyar, Occultism, Kumaras, Masters of the Wisdom, and the Future of Humanity

by Robert Wilkinson

Many years ago, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting the venerable Dane Rudhyar on several occasions. A European born in the 19th century, (bio here,) besides being a classical pianist of some note and a philosopher of the first degree, he was one of the most prolific astrological writers in history between 1935-1980. He was the first astrologer to formulate what is now known as "humanistic astrology," or "person-centered astrology," when he joined astrology, humanistic psychology, and holistic philosophy in his masterwork "The Astrology of Personality." His books are not standard astrology, where one can find the answer to the meaning of a Venus in Libra or Mars in the 10th house and other questions of chart interpretation, though occasionally his work addresses those questions. Instead, he was a true astrological philosopher with a vast scope of vision and interest.

Practical Astrological Solutions to Marital Problems

by Robert Wilkinson

There is no problem in a human life that cannot be solved using “spiritual” or astrological solutions. Of course, the timing on what to do and when to do it is crucial if we are to avoid crashing up against each other’s biases and attitudes. This is why astrology can be used very successfully to resolve differences, if both are open to finding a way beyond conflict.

In our world, we are unfortunately put under a lot of pressures that are difficult, and often we seek an outlet to relieve those emotional pressures in being unkind to our loved ones. Obviously, this is not a satisfactory way to maintain and preserve our intimate relationships, as these types of releases usually create more problems and hard feelings, which in turn must be dealt with in productive ways if we don't want things to crash. This article will offer some productive ways to deal with conflicts that arise between us and others.

Aquarian Astrology at Work - Jones' Patterns for September and October 2005

by Robert Wilkinson

As you know from the last article on the Jones' Patterns, we have been living within a SeeSaw pattern for a while. This configuration shows as two or more planets opposing another group of planets. For the next few months, except when the Moon changes the emphasis temporarily, we'll continue to learn how to deal with the oppositions or tensions indicated by this polarizing pattern. Where planets oppose in your chart there will be oppositions in your life in the realm of the inner self or in worldly situations or people you must deal with. During this time the oppositions will involve planets in Scorpio opposing Mars, coupled with Saturn opposing Neptune. These two are a major influence, intensely personal as well as far-reaching. Their positions also give us several periods of "Bucket" influence, depending on the Moon.

Astrology at Work in September, October, November, and December 2005 - Moving through Karmic Storm Zones

by Robert Wilkinson

This article is a rewrite of one I published almost a year ago, and it seems perfectly appropriate to what's happening right now and in our near future. In my own observations, there are two types of karma, which I call "big K" karma and "little k" karma. Briefly put, "little k" karma is what we created either through human acts of omission or commission, and we must resolve the consequences of those actions and non-actions however we can. "Big K" karmas are what are usually termed "acts of God," or some such thing. These are events that are seemingly beyond our ability to control, we may not have the slightest idea how come these are happening when they are happening, and are usually forced to do the best we can without a complete understanding of the larger forces at work creating these Karmic events. This article explores two types of "little k" karmic storm zones and one type of the "big K" karmic activity, so that we can sort out how to deal with what life puts on our plate.

Spiritual Astrology at Work in September-October 2005 Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces affected

by Robert Wilkinson

The coming weeks are particularly dynamic, with challenges, realizations, dissolutions, renovations, and transformations for all signs shown by aspects to Pluto in Sagittarius, Neptune in Aquarius, Uranus in Pisces, and Saturn in the social, emotional-cultural combustion phase of Leo. There are squares, quincunxes, or oppositions to and from planets in cardinal (activating) signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn), fixed (stabilizing) signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius), and mutable (distributive) signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) so get ready for lots of change, awareness, fulfillment, and dynamic activity.

Leo - Noble and Dramatic Fire Spirits

by Robert Wilkinson

August is the heart of Summer, a time when a maximum of Solar force helps us continue our creative work begun in the sign of Cancer. This month will expand the externalizing self-gathering and consolidating that Summer symbolizes, stabilizing the life force in Leo, the sign of Fixed Fire.   We decided some things in Cancer that are now showing as a new way of life, self-expression, and enjoyment of how we are connected to doing our being naturally.  We are now in a period of extending our enthusiasms and spontaneity – thus a time of traveling, celebration, vacation, and family involvements before the return of more practical matters in September, the time of Virgo, the harvester. For the rest of the article updated to 2006, continue reading Leo - Noble and Dramatic Fire Spirits.

Life Is A Rhythmic Dance

by Robert Wilkinson

Each of the parts of our lives, inner and outer, has a rhythm of its own. Our bodies, feelings, mind and higher Self all have their rhythms of appearance and disappearance, increasing and decreasing, ebbing and flowing. Our relationships have their own rhythms of coming and going, merging and doing one's own thing. There is no part of our lives that doesn't have fluxuation, except for our Inner Flame. Astrology is the art and science of examining these changes, and noting what is happening and when, one is able to estimate the next time we will be in major change and what factors are involved. This helps us evolve our response-abilities, and lead to a more natural and perfect self-expression.

Every major change we confront in our life is showing us what is ending, and what is beginning. Even in the middle of a larger process, every significant change in any area of our life affects other areas. These changes show us how we must change to restore harmony in our life. Ultimately every part of our being is seeking to be in harmony with every other part of our life. That's what we call "happiness." When everything works in harmony in our lives, when our inner self is in harmony with our world and our relationships, we feel that harmony and want it to continue. Our heart's deaire for our lower self is for it to have abundance, love, and perfect self-expression. Major changes show us the way to these things, but our lower self has habits and opinions and fears that often obstruct our heppiness. Then the points of change are more difficult, but we can still learn a lot from it all.
