Today’s Lunar Eclipse Full Moon falls at 25 Libra-Aries, and portends a few months where we will say goodbye to old superficial relationships, ideas, habits, and responses as a result of “seeing through” the forms and realizing something about the larger process of endings and beginnings, deaths and births. The Sun is the illumination factor; at 25 Libra, we will see deeper elements of wisdom emerge from the area in our charts where Libra is dominant once our rebellious mind understands the necessity of parts of our life ending to make space for what will emerge afterwards. The Moon at 25 Aries is the degree of “a double promise reveals its inner and outer meaning,” and puts us all in a “probationary” period where we will have to reshape our conception of what might fulfill us. In essence, we must be ready, willing, and able to shape our “translucent mind” in forms revealing potential spiritual fulfillment, and learn to imagine what might be, rather than cling to what has been.
A Lunar eclipse effect is said to last as many months as the eclipse lasts in hours, whereas a Solar eclipse effect is said to last as many years as the eclipse lasted in hours. The recent Solar Eclipse lasted in all 3 hours 41 minutes. Through knowledge gained over the next 44 months (since the Solar Eclipse lasted four and 2/3 hours) we will be able to assess what is sound and what is unsound in us and others, as well as circumstances. We will have unique gifts of insight, penetrating and at times spontaneous, which will allow us over time to feel that we have indeed “made it through the night.”
The focus is to gladly, simply let go of outmoded forms of self expression, and any repressed anger we focus inward rather than outward in forms of effective activity. Look at passive-aggressive behavior when it pops up, and know that either you need to defend your mission, see the broader context of your mission, or administer your expertise, preparing for a signal that will show you a new day has dawned in your life. This should be seen as a reward from Spirit for whatever faith you have shown in dealing with your personal crises.
Since both eclipses are conjunct Jupiter, whatever endings occur clear the way for a grand adventure. We will learn about using both will and love each in their own appropriate time, and through the shifting oscillation we will meet others who share our dream, our aesthetic, and our hope for better conditions. We will be joining with others in a larger adventure in relationship than we’ve know before now.
As a result of this eclipse effect, we will learn our body wisdom, and decondition our minds from being chained to quantitative, linear thinking. We will have many opportunities to discover forms of “physical enlightenment” through the end of the year, and with each new discovery will further the basic theme of Healing that the New Moon Solar Eclipse promises all of us. Look for forms of Grace to come forth these next few weeks and months, and if you want to hasten the process, do forgiveness practices in whatever past or present areas of your life warrants it.
Forgiveness creates the spaciousness, the emptiness that allows an entirely new form of Grace to enter the situation. These eclipses will create those spaces from time to time, and clear out parts of our lives that are no longer part of our archetypal pattern. It’s our job to forgive whatever whenever so that we bring forth the Grace that will show us how we have healed, are healing, and invite forms of fulfillment in the future we are challenged to imagine at this time. The powerful movement into the future will begin January 2006, so consider the next few weeks a productive transitional period. By February 2006 all signs will have a much different view of things than we have at present.
