How Saturn in Leo impacts Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces in 2006

by Robert Wilkinson

Yesterday we discussed how Saturn in Leo will affect different generations of people, and what to be aware of as we navigate this year and next, when this effect will dominate the landscape. Today we will discuss the effect of Saturn in Leo on each sign. If you know your rising sign, or Ascendant, read that sign as well as your Sun sign:

Astrology 2006 – How Saturn in Leo is affecting all signs and generations

by Robert Wilkinson

Today we explore how Saturn in Leo is affecting all of us, some more than others. This powerful transit is a force majure in its own right, regardless of how any other planet is affecting us. In classical astrology, Saturn is considered to be in "exile" or “detriment” in Leo, due to Saturn’s co-rulership of Aquarius, along with Capricorn. Saturn was also in detriment in Cancer, since that sign opposes Capricorn, which Saturn is said to rule. What does this mean? Well, exile is to be out of one's realm, to be at a distance from one's home. Cancer and Leo are as far from Capricorn and Aquarius as we get in our zodiac. When Saturn transits Leo, we learn to restructure our heart, spontaneity, and how to enjoy our life more authentically.

Emotions, Self-Control, and Correcting Habits

by Robert Wilkinson

From the Magic of Space, some thoughts about fear, ignorance, and how much power we have to overcome these fairly easily. From Chapter VII, The Self - Its Relation to Space and Matter:

First, you should realize that all uncontrolled emotions are the result of ignorance or undevelopment, and this knowledge will rob them of their power over you. You will know that you are at the emotional point in your evolution, which is an indication of ignorance of your own power of self-control. Then you will begin to see the need of development, and will set about correcting the fault. A child fears the dark because he does not know its nature of its cause. If he is carried into a dark room and the light is turned on, and he sees nothing there to injure him, his fear is immediately dissipated. His fear was banished when his ignorance was destroyed.

Jupiter square Neptune and Sun-Mercury opposed Saturn – A Big Wave About To Hit

by Robert Wilkinson

There has been a lot of scuttlebutt around the blogosphere that there’s a feeling something BIG is about to hit, but no one seems to have a fix on what’s up. Vague feelings of impending doom or salvation are often characterized by a Jupiter-Neptune square, and regardless of what seems to show itself, a corner is about to be turned that will affect the entire world.

George Bush Astrology - A Look At What's Up In Early 2006

by Robert Wilkinson

Our prez is not a happy camper. Bluster and bluff as he may, he's fatigued, stressed, and has hit his limit of his ability to keep it together. There are several factors presently at work that are teaching him that he cannot disregard others in an interdependent universe, and there are consequences to be faced for his past crimes and hubris. Today we will take a short look at what's up for him, and why he's being forced to accept certain hard realities.

An Overview of Astrological Forces At Work in January and February 2006

by RobertWilkinson

Today I'll give links to articles that are still timely and relevant even though I wrote them awhile ago and some have dropped off the radar screen. In no particular order of importance, I'll start with this article on the Venus retrograde effect on your sign, with an internal link to another important article on how you can find a greater compassion at this time. It's still going on, and how we handle its lessons will have a long term effect on our relationships, values, and resources. This article reminds us that we've made it through the night, and it's full speed ahead, given the present aspects. More by clicking on the link.

Astrology of Fire, Earth, Air and Water Elements in January and February 2006

by Robert Wilkinson

Most of January and February show a more stable element balance than we've known in quite a while. The first 18 days of January show 2 planets in Fire (inspiration) 4 in Earth (most we've had in a long time!), and 2 in Water (feelings, experience), with Air (communications, ideas) diminished. And excess of Earth shows a time of practicality, groundedness, and follow through on the "nuts and bolts" of our earthly existence. That's why things seem more together, or at least we're seeing how attention to earth matters helps us with a sense of things being accomplished and moving forward, if slowly.

Astrology Stress Zones for January 2006 - Mars stimulating Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces

by Robert Wilkinson

Mars triggers whatever happens of note in our charts. In January 2006, Mars continues to pick up speed after its 2 month plus retrograde that bogged many things down in a big way. We are still practicing the lessons of its December 9 stationary point, and having to create “happiness in dark hours.” As I noted last month, we are all much stronger than we used to be, and what we’ve learned is helping us to see results after the long period of struggle.

January 2006 - The Last Fixed T-square in this series

by Robert Wilkinson

As we move through the next few days, it may be useful to take a new look at some things I've said about this time. This overview outlines what each sign can productively focus on, while this post offers insights into the Mars opposed to Jupiter and the Venus retrograde. It's all systems go!

Alito

A quick note. I'll try to post more astrology soon. For the time being, though, speaking of peculiar dream states, if you care about the Constitution of the US, go to Political Physics and read why Alito should be filibustered, and why you should contact your Representative and Senator as soon as possible. America the democracy is truly at risk due to unbridled executive power, and Alito is one of the architects of the legal strategems of the authoritarians.

Universal Thought, Knowledge, and Dreams

by Robert Wilkinson

From The Magic of Space:

Remember this: whatever you keep your attention upon will accumlate knowledge for your mind. All facts of the intuition come from the Universal thought. All human experience and activities of the earth are connected with our dream life, but they will not furnish us with the facts which are part of our intuition, and are, therefore, not part of the Universal thought.

The Astrological Rulership of Music Notes

by Robert Wilkinson

Over the years, many people have expressed an interest in how the signs relate to musical notes. Every sequence of musical notes is a thought-form in itself, and music, like words, feelings, and thoughts, move various centers of consciousness in people, for good or ill, depending on how the notes, words, feelings, and ideas affect the individual chart.

Capricorn - Pragmatic Earth Spirits

by Robert Wilkinson

January is the time of the Sun in Capricorn, and during January 2006 we also have Mercury and Venus in that Cardinal Earth sign. Capricorn puts the focus on our claim to power in the public realm and our ability to assert our personal authority within a social structure. This self-starting practical sign represents the power of organizing energies into forms of personal fulfillment, and the ability to use time productively to achieve our intention. Capricorn is the ultimate plodder, patiently persevering with an eye to the long-term payoff. Wherever it falls in a chart is where you may find and claim your power, authorship, mature experience and responsibility.

Spiritual Astrology at Work in January-February 2006 affecting Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces

by Robert Wilkinson

The coming weeks should show major progress for all signs, due to all three outer invisible planets direct in motion. The squares and crosses are almost over, except for the Fixed T-square which should be very favorable, given the Capricorn trines to Mars in Taurus and quintiles to Jupiter in Scorpio square Neptune in Aquarius. This configuration is extremely productive of gifts and unique conditions that show us a corner to be turned, and which can bring forth new ideals, as well as expansions into a greater collective awareness and group effectiveness.

Love, Dad - Bereavement, Grief, and Healing After A Significant Death

by Robert Wilkinson

After long reflection and meditation, I decided it was time to write something on grief and bereavement, since events that throw us into deep grief can safely be called an "intersection of fate and free will." Losing a loved one is one of the hardest, and occasionally THE hardest, thing that happens to us humans. The price of love is grief, since if we choose to love another in this impermanent world, one of us must go first, and the other is left to grieve. Grief is an acknowledgment of the love that we shared. It happens to all of us, sooner or later, and when it does, it creates a rip in the fabric of our lives. When a loved one dies, whether our parent, child, spouse, sibling, grandparent, friend, or pet, our lives change forever, in big ways and small. It triggers major inner changes, and offers us a chance to know what is truly important to us and what is not. Though difficult, we must learn to heal if our lives are to be lived with purpose or meaning after the death, and not simply be an unending struggle with feelings we don't want to have.

There Are Many Roads To Truth

by Robert Wilkinson

I posted this piece last year on this day, which my friends know is a profoundly sacred time for me. Though every day is a good day to find truth, higher awareness, or God, January 9, 1988 changed me forever. If you read my book, "Love Dad," you'll understand why. It may offer you some comfort, help you to help another, or perhaps become stronger in your expressions of compassion and understanding. On this day I read from a variety of spiritual works to remember what is truly important. I may post something else later, depending on how my meditations go. For now, though, I'll offer you this little gem from "Agni Yoga," an amazing work written almost 80 years ago by Helena Roerich, wife of the legendary Nicholas Roerich who was the first artist ever nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, among other notable achievements. In our transitional era, it offers hope for the future, and clues to the eternal.

Happy Birthday Elvis

Better late than never. Here's a big Happy 71st Birthday to the King, Elvis Presley. You blew the doors open for a whole new way of heart to express itself. To quote John Lennon, "Before Elvis, there was nothing." I was 5 when you hit big and I heard you on a transistor radio. Wow. You were electric. And a huge stellium in Leo didn't hurt things neither, as we used to say. Again, thanks for showing up.

How the Divine Law Manifests – Perception, Memory, and Reincarnation

by Robert Wilkinson

For your consideration, from The Magic of Space, Chapter Two, “Phenomena of Space,” a comment on how energy continually re-embodies itself in different forms across space and time, and why we usually don’t remember our past lives.

Re-embodiment is a fact in nature, with the indestructibility of matter and force re-embodying themselves for the purpose of evolution. The law of re-embodiment manifests on all planes, and upon all worlds or planets. The fact that we do not see the operation of a law is no proof that the law has ceased to act.

Astrology Now in January 2006 - All systems go!

by Robert Wilkinson

For the next several weeks, we face a very harmonious series of aspects that should provide us all welcome relief from the echoes of the past 5 months, which were bogged down to say the least. Even though the Fixed T-square continues to persist for the next two weeks, it should help to release some very positive energies that are being built by the Capricorn planets trine to Mars. In this case, the opposition between Mars and Jupiter can expand the momentum rather than scatter things out of proportion, and the Mars square Neptune helps us all see a larger vision.

by Robert Wilkinson

To follow up on my earlier article about the year of the Fire Dog and its general qualities, we will now explore what the coming year means for each of the twelve signs of the Chinese zodiac. I have included a table so you can discover what Chinese animal rules the year you were born, so have fun as you explore what's in store for each sign in the coming year that begins on January 29, 2006.
