For Personal Appointments

If you've wondered about a personal consultation with me for a reading, here's how you do it.

First, I require an email or call so that we can confirm a time, how long an appointment you wish, and your birth information. Even if you don't know your birth time, it's no problem. There is still a phenomenal amount of information I can offer you without knowing your exact time of birth.

My readings use a variety of astrological tools and approaches, and each reading comes with a minimum of one reading from the I Ching regarding the subject of your choice, or how to best deal with the near future. Combining the art and science of cycles with humanistic and archetypal psychology, sessions with me are several concentrated readings in one, and give you the power to navigate your life challenges and opportunities with foresight and personal tools to bring the best out of the experience. They are empowering and show you who you really are and how to take command of your own life in this ever-changing world.

Of course I cover natal, progressed, and transit factors, as these are of primary importance in understanding how to walk our walk. After the initial session where we blend critical elements of your natal and progressed charts with on-going important transits, I also am available for more long range forecasts using the Solar Return chart and other analytical tools to give a broader sense of what's coming down the road, as well as sessions devoted to a narrower focus on specific concerns of pressing urgency. Even those whose first sessions are Solar Return readings have expressed appreciation for how I weave what is and what's coming with their sense of evolving Self and how to grow in strength, clarity, and sense of purpose.

Other things you can find out about are love, partnerships, professional issues, times to schedule appointments and trips, when to sign contracts, buy homes, and many other things that can make your life easier and more enjoyable. You can do them for yourself, your loved ones, or even friends and associates. I have done chart readings on subjects as diverse as children and their aptitudes, corporations, event planning for weddings and maximum marital harmony, event openings, and even times for surgeries.

All readings are taped, which you get to keep at the end of the reading. Thousands of clients have told me they listen to it many times, and each time they get more and more out of it, so it's the gift that keeps on giving. It never becomes obsolete, and will help you be the best person you can be as you move through life.

I do my readings 3 ways: In person (if I'm where you are, or you're where I am), by phone with you on the line, taping what I say and then mailing you the tape, and just doing a tape and mailing it to you. Most prefer the second option if they can't meet with me in person, since it gives a first-hand experience of the reading and you can ask me questions at any point in the session.

Because of overwhelming demand by new clients, I have restructured how long my readings are, since I can't possibly do all the longer readings I once did. My standard readings are now one hour sessions (that often run about 70 minutes) with the rate $150 + $7 for domestic postage. If we arrange for a longer reading in advance it is billed at $60 per half hour above the base rate. For those who may not need a full hour or more to get answers to specific focus issues and questions I now offer readings of 30 minutes for $85 with $7 for postage.

As my current clients will note, due to recent large rate hikes, I now have to charge for postage. Because both domestic and international rates were significantly raised, if you are outside the US and want your tape sent "priority international," there is an $11 charge for postage rather than $7.

In the near future I'll be offering an option of sending your reading directly to you through email as sound files so you can get them quicker and being digital, you can make a CD from those sound files. No more tape decks, no more tapes destroyed by dirty heads, intense sunlight or other things, and you'll always be able to make more copies as you need to. There will be a small charge for the service, since it will involve extra work cutting the reading into tracks, though of course there will be no postage, so the cost should not be prohibitive.

One feature I offer clients that no other astrologer I know makes available: After the reading, if you need subsequent clarification regarding something I've said in the session, there is no charge unless we start taking substantial time. I try to be succinct and precise, and my past and present clients are very satisfied with the amount of time and energy I give them.

I also do quite a bit of public speaking, and am available to groups on advance notice. Rates vary.

Hi Robert

I am writing to enquire about having an astrological reading done. I have studied astrology myself so I have a good understanding of charts (aspects, transits, etc), though not an expert.

What I would like is to have a chart done that would help to give me some direction at this time, another crossroads in my life. I would love to have a reading in person but I am working in Iraq at the moment (doing development work) and the only phone contact I have is via skype.com if you are familiar with this.

A bit of background: I have been doing this sort of work for some years and feel that I need to go home to Australia to settle for awhile however I am still a bit of a torn soul between doing this sort of work and being away from home long-term.

I would like to have a chart done that focusses a bit more on the spiritual interpretation of my life/chart and guidance re: career and personal life (transits this year and into next). I have a Yod in my chart and would like to know more about this (I recently had Uranus transit my Yod). Also sometime in the next year or so Uranus will go into my 4th house (love to know more about what you think this will bring).

I had my major Pluto tansits (thank god) in the past - Pluto square Sun and Opposite Moon, very difficult times for me. I think 2012 will be a big year for me with Pluto crossing over my Asc. and Neptune conjunct my sun.

A Sun Pisces conjunct Mars/Saturn square Moon in Gemini and sextile Ascendant Capricorn. Midheaven Virgo and Mercury in Aquarius/Venus in Aries/Chriron in Pisces.

I would be glad to do a session with/for you, and since you know something of the craft, I can offer you hints as to how to look at transits and progressions so you can get a new dimension in how it works.

I don't really know how skype works, except I gather it's through the computer if you sign up. And yes, I would think that after a time in the Middle East one might indeed long for Australia.

My sessions usually do focus on the spiritual dimensions of the chart, since by knowing that many other things become very clear in the life. That said, I also try to keep it grounded and practical, since we do live in the world. One hint: I have done articles about Yod configurations in my column, and you may want to do a site search via the box on the upper right to glean pieces of how this powerful configuration works.

2012 will be a powerful year for everyone due to some major configurations that will be very challenging, but also the potential for effective work/play/life will be very high.

As for how to do a session. I could just do a tape and send it to you, and you can email me at the email above (laughingcat) and we can correspond that way. I would suggest that is the best way to correspond with me in the future, since this is a comment stream. And I suppose I could learn how to use skype, though I probably need to be guided through how to set it up and use it. Too bad you don't have access to a phone line, but from news we get here about the destructive mess that Iraq is, I suspect the phone service is sporadic at best. Hi Lisa - You're very welcome. My fees are listed above, and my sessions can cover anything a person wants. I suspect that if you have natal or progressed planets conjunct the GC then they're under the beams of Pluto, always a force majure in the life. So planets in your chart aspecting the GC would also be aspected by transiting Pluto. Tomorrow's post on the opposition sextile trine involving Pluto, Venus and Mars may be an important read for you, since this configuration has an impact on planets involving the GC.

Hi Dan - Well, you're having a once every 12 year Jupiter return, which can bring a whole new focus in life. It rules Scorpio's 2nd and 5th houses, so you should go through a renewal in those areas of your Solar life. In your case, there is a Mercury-Mars-Jupiter conjunction very near your Jupiter, so expect events then to kick off a 2 year cycle focusing on your Jupiter, triggered in the areas Mercury and Mars rule in your chart. Hi, Robert. I would possibly like to consult with you about a planned c-section I will be having next month. I've had 2 emergency c-sections in the past and my doctor has encouraged me to just go ahead and plan it this time rather than waiting for an emergency that may or may not happen this time around. I am looking at June 20, 21 or 22 and any of these surgeries will occur around 7:00 in the morning in Atlanta. I have been checking into feng shui and it appears that the 21st might be an inauspicious day for most events (weddings, etc.), but I really like the idea of having a summer solstice baby. I found this website somehow and your information seems to be the most profound so far, so I'd like to see what you think. It's a huge gamble - Gemini, Cancer? Maybe not. Hi Aria - Right now I have no plans to go to England in August, as it seems my time in Amsterdam will be packed and stacked to the max. The last time I was in the mystic Isles, it was "Swinging London" in the summer of 69. Had a blast hanging out at Carnaby Street and Portabello Road. Usually when I go somewhere, talks and charts are set up ahead of time. That's happening in beautiful Amsterdam this time, but I'm always open to an English tour, given my Welsh-Scot-Irish-Brit genes.

Ok, may i ask you to schedule a reading (any time at your convenience in the next few months would be fine for me. As you gathered i live in Uk, so a tape reading would be the most likely choice. I have been studying astrology myself for a good number of years and I know my chart quite well. I don't know how you feel about the Harmonic Concordance chart of late 2003- I mention this particular chart and the transit of the Lunar Nodes in Scorpio/Taurus, Libra/Aries, and the current Virgo/Pisces polarities because I feel I have been deeply affected on the most intimate part of my entire being since. I feel I Have been catapuled in a new evolutionary level, and since then the events in my life have definately taken me through very intense process of burning and churning of whatever there was buried in this sector of my chart, which happens to be the area of my IC.
I am also very aware of the current Saturn's transit in Leo, (sitting on my natal Uranus) but i would like some pratical advice on Sat up-coming entrance in Virgo later in the year when Pluto will finally transit my natal Saturn @02 Cap, doubling the churning process of transiting Sat on my natal Pluto. Right now I am struggling to find the physical and mental stamina to endure the Sat/Nept opposition and the Nep. past months station on my natal Chiron, (very curious on how the last hit will manifest in my "reality" when I will experience the final hit). All I can say is: I am burning!
I don't know exactly what kind of consultation will be appropriate for me, but if we need to define a "reading" method, perhaps a Solar return chart or just the transit 4 the coming year would be most helpful.

I asked you about two yrs ago about the possibility of erecting a chart. I am kind of a student of astrology and just love the topic, and read everything i can find about it, and have had my chart done many times. Maybe I'm an astrology junkie, who knows or just curious.

Let me introduce myself, in 1994 I attended the school fo masotherapy in Virginia Beach at the Edgar Cayce school at the A.R.E., Atlantic University. I have been an Edgar Cayce since 12. I had a business for a few years after attending, and my business was turned off like a faucet the 13th month after my mother died, 80% of my clients stopped for one reason or another-weird, I knew that was the Universe saying something. Hi Deborah - Edgar Cayce was remarkable. It's fortunate you had such early exposure. As for various things drying up over the years, it's happened to me off and on, and always served to spur me to learn something new and open my imagination to doing something differently. I agree channeling is somewhat perilous, and requires constant monitoring of the "astral web" so that it doesn't become frayed or weakened. And yes, often our prejudices lead us to what we expect to find, whether it's accurate or not. That's why pendulums are unreliable, as they can be influenced to move any direction the consciousness or subconsciousness is inclined toward. Working with those transitioning from life to afterlife is a noble and sacred work, so Aum and blessings on that.

As for astrology, I'm sure you have your unique take and insights, whether it looks like putting it all together or not. It's a study transcending lifetimes, and all that is learned serves as foundation material for all else that is learned. I suppose if you've gone inward these past 9 years it means you're about to have a 9 year exterior focus. That cycle is associated with the Nodes. And thanks for your praise of the work. You have written a few older pieces about the eclipse of March 2006 with how its effects would come through in the houses -

How long will the effects of that eclipse impact us ?

That eclipse was a HUGE turning point personally and karmically for me in a situation of prey/predator dichotomy that I ran head first into blindly from someone I handle sincerely tried to help ( seems to be a theme for me in my life ) and it unnerved me to my deepest levels making me question everything about myself, my life and my spiritual path. And this person didn't just want revenge she wanted to utterly destroy me and my family.

This full moon tomorrow is the first time that I feel as if I am making hopeful progress and regaining some of my inner equilibrium.

Can you shed any further light or thoughts on this for me ?

Hi Melody - Due to an overwhelming amount of email and other work, I've been lagging on answering them in a timely way. You should have gotten one by now. As for eclipse effects, they last as long in months (Lunar) or years (Solar) as they lasted in minutes. We're still under the effects of eclipses earlier than 2006. Sorry you encountered someone who you felt was dangerous. There are those out there who create real problems for others. Like Marc Chapman did to John Lennon. In your case, learn what in you attracted you to try to "help" this person and didn't see danger signals. It may be telling you not to assume things you always did in the past, and cultivate discrimination and dispassion so you don't avoid seeing what you need to see.

1. In my reading you said I had a balsamic moon. Would you please consider doing a whole article about that phenomenon.

2. Also, I notice in the chart you mailed to me was a new marking I have never seen before. The symbol was an orb with an upright arrow. What is this? Or course it is in Leo and in my 10th.

Hi Helen - Will do an article on Moon phases soon. Thanks for the suggestion. That is the glyph for Transpluto. I used another one for years when doing them by hand, but this is kinda-sorta the "accepted" glyph. As you'll also note on the dynamic report, I have specific glyphs for all the novile and septile series aspects which have never been published except for my long out of print work, "Astrology and the Spiritual Path," written in 1978-79. As an aside, there is another work by the same name published much later. Translated from the German, the title of that work is a mistranslation of the original German title. I may eventually do a rewrite of my work, but may or may not give it another title.

Hi Erin - Well, though DC used to be on my circuit throughout the 80s and early 90s, I tend not to get out much beyond the Hamptons and LA right now. I've been trying to find a time to get to Europe this year, having punted last year so I could make my move. I tend to go where there are charts and talks to be done and things are arranged ahead of time. Right now I don't have anything happening in the DC area. But keep checking in here, since there's no telling where I'll wind up in any given season.

Hi! Thanks for all the great insight! I have emailed you a few times and tried again tonight. In casre you didn't get my last attempt I thought I would put my info here on the post.

I have almost all my planets in Libra/Scorpio as well as Mars (the action planet) Retrograde and would like to talk with you about doing my natal chart/ progressed chart as we move into this time of change.

After the reading, I will study up on all of the planets aspects etc. so that I can learn how to get a firm grip on the next few years as far as what my personal/global place in the overall scheme of things should be for its highest manifestation. I am also facing a job relocation to Salt Lake City UT from Albuquerque NM and question whether I should move to that location or find other work. This date is 4/18/08 right in the heart of the April/May liberation. With Mars (the action planet) retrograde do I DARE go to another job or should I play it safe and stay with my current job and move??

I desire to study astrology in depth and so far have found it hard to grasp all the intricacies. I appreciate suggestions as to where I go from here so that I can become knowledgeable like the people who write into your site.
