This is A Remarkable Time - Venus trine Mars, Mercury trine Jupiter, and Sun trine Saturn

There are very few times when all the planets ruling signs that oppose each other are in perfect harmony. A trine (120 degrees) is said to show a harmonized stable understanding between points. For the next few days, we have three trines going on. We have Venus trine Mars, Mercury trine Jupiter, and Sun trine Saturn. This is very rare, and very beneficial for doing a whole lot of things and adjusting our lives to make them work more harmoniously. Read on to find out more about this remarkable moment in time.

The planets, or Inner Lights, "rule" the signs. This term is usually associated with "lordship" or "boss" but my friend Carl Payne Tobey put it differently. He thought that since a ruler measures things, the planets are the measure of how the sign expresses itself. I also see rulership as the inherent "Law" of how that planetary energy expresses itself. It is the standard of self-expression. That which rules an expression is also ruled by that self-expression.

The signs show the tone and color of how the Inner Lights shine through us. Each Planet is associated with two signs. Something to ponder apart from the remarkable trines going on right now is how the signs are six polarities, each a dual awareness of opposite but united qualities of life and expression.

Venus rules Taurus and Libra. Mars rules Aries and Scorpio. When Venus trines Mars, it harmonizes our Taurus and Libra planets and houses with our Aries and Scorpio planets and houses.

Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo. Jupiter rules Sagittarius and Pisces. When Mercury trines Jupiter, it harmonizes our Gemini and Virgo planets and houses with our Sagittarius and Pisces planets and houses.

The Sun rules Leo and Cancer and Saturn rules Capricorn and Aquarius. When the Sun trines Saturn, it harmonizes our Leo and Cancer planets and houses with our Capricorn and Aquarius planets and houses.

Before you think I'm giving the Moon less than its due, I'll explain. The Moon derives its light directly from the Sun, so they should be regarded as a dyad, not as separate from each other. The same with Cancer and Leo. And as you know from previous articles, I believe the Sun is the "Spiritual" ruler of Cancer, and the Moon the "Spiritual" ruler of Leo. But that's getting off track from the theme of this article.

So all the opposing areas of our lives can be understood clearly at this time. Wherever we want harmonization, where we seek understanding, it is there through resolving the polarities of the signs through understanding the planets that rule them using the power of the trines. The trine is remarkable, since it is both a double sextile (60 degrees indicating productivity through dealing with hexagonal force) and a trinovile, or the third step in the novile (40 degree indicating spiritual gestation into or out of realization) series of aspects.

Regarding the favorableness of the trinovile or trine, the third step that stabilizes any action is synthesizing. It is the point in the evolutionary process where the first realization and the second realization merge during the third stage into a new view that encompasses both and yet is greater than the sum of the parts. That is another way to view the harmony and stabilized understanding of the trine energy at work.

Right now we have three of them, all working at once, resolving planetary energies that are usually at odds with each other. This is truly a remarkable time. Make the most of it, and understand what needs to be understood to put together the pieces of the past into a new stabilized view of where you stand in the process of your own self-unfoldment relative to the world you have chosen to live in. It is now time to trust what you understand, and move into a greater interactive view.

This atmosphere will last until the Moon trines Saturn next Tuesday, March 28, the day before the Solar Eclipse. Do what you must these next few days to synthesize all the pieces of your life into a smoothly running process, and greet what's coming. Time is our ally, the process is flowing, and new ideas and interactions are to be had. Open to the vision given by the Fire trine, find the perfect balance and rhythm given by the Air trine, and experience how you need to be you right now, flowing from one moment to the next moment, secure in your supply, given by the Water trine. Find a way to anchor it in the material world, and you'll see your future.

Hi daryl - Usually it's easy to find references in other articles by site googling the terms, which generate a list of archive articles with those terms. Briefly, to cite examples, Mars is the worldly ruler of Aries and Scorpio, while Pluto rules both signs in the spiritual realm. Neptune is the spiritual ruler of both Sag and Pisces, while Jupiter is the worldly ruler of those signs.
