In May 2006. Gemini and Virgo will experience a lot of dynamic change, as Mercury rapidly moves through Aries, Taurus, and Gemini. Venus changes signs twice this month, moving from Pisces through Aries into Taurus by the end of the month. Thus all Taurus, Gemini, Virgo, and Libra people will be in rapid movement. Leo people will bring things to fulfillment, while Cancer natives will be ending many things and moving into new initiatives, hopefully without impulsive or easily irritated patterns being activiated. Scorpios are bringing things to the surface or re-evaluating what they began late last year. Sagittarius and Pisces will clarify their understanding of some very personal issues, and Capricorn and Aquarius people should avoid needless confrontations while admiring differences leading to a more solidly loving knowledge of what is permanent and what is transitory.
Early in the month the Sun and Mercury in Taurus oppose Jupiter while throwing a sextile to Mars. Mercury repeats the pattern in the second week of May. This is a very helpful type of configuration, and will help us all learn quick prioritization and organization of what matters and what doesn't. See your greater purpose, keep the initiative in your own hands, and find a way to justify your larger dreams and visions.
Ground your imagination in simple and practical ways, and consolidate while planning several steps in advance of the process. All the Earth and Water signs, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, Pisces, and Taurus can all benefit greatly, and turn bogged down affairs and oppositional situations into multiple understandings and much progress.
The Grand Water Trine in early May between Mars in Cancer, Jupiter in Scorpio, and Uranus in Pisces will be excellent for cultivating connectedness with needs, understanding push-pull issues, and what is the unique response required from each of us as we learn to value protective mechanisms and rehearse skills that will be needed 6 months down the road and beyond. This will help our Water sign planets and houses to a smoother understanding and harmony of flow, and we can all practice our emotional intelligence in fluid ways that should make us more aware of our emotional strengths, and where to direct our individuality to feel a greater fulfillment of experience.
The Sun and Mercury in Taurus actually serve to express the energies that Jupiter builds through the Grand Water Trine. This naturally harmonizes all the Earth and Water in our charts, helping us to ground our activies in practical and sensitive ways, thus connecting us to our earthly experience. We should easily understand how to "roll with the flow, wherever it goes, even if it rolls out of here," to quote a great American musical bard.
The Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars are still waxing relative to Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, opening this year's lessons to be learned by these Transpersonal planets. We should start seeing the seeds of Pluto sprout in June, even as May and June help the patterns of Uranus and Neptune exteriorize into collective functional forms. It's a new year, new patterns are emerging, and the old chains have been broken.
Confusion challenging our creativity and nobility mark the first half of the month. A need for balance and maturity, justice and taking responsibility, mark the second half of the month. A major hot zone starts mid-month, featuring Venus square Mars and Mercury square Uranus. Expect social geargrinds and the need for innovative thinking.
