I wrote two articles a while ago where I went extensively into what all of us could expect from the on-going Saturn in Leo. Astrology 2006 – How Saturn in Leo is affecting all signs and generations goes into which age groups are most affected, and How Saturn in Leo impacts Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces in 2006 offers something for Sun or Rising signs. Today's post briefly updates what's written there.

Many have enthusiastically responded to my previous postings from Brotherhood by the illustrious Helena Roerich and her very advanced Master known as M. Given the superstitions of our present era regarding Yogis and the lack of understanding about their traits, here's a little gem from Agni Yoga, another remarkable 1st Ray teaching of this school of realization.

The coming weeks bring us more very dynamic metaphysical activity with quincunxes to Pluto, Mars opposing Uranus, and frequent oppositions to Neptune culminating with the Saturn opposition to Neptune at the end of August at the Mars square Pluto. This will affect all signs and for many, dreams will come true and new heart power come to the surface in ways that we will know we have been rewarded by Spirit for moving through our crises with indomitable courage and strength.

In part two we explore more about this phenomenon that occurs three weeks at a time three times a year. At the end of this article I have included a table so you can find out which house(s) this July 2006 Mercury retrograde period falls in relative to your Sun or rising sign. Consult this article to find out how this transit will affect you personally as a result of Mercury retrograding through the houses in your chart.

This Mercury retrograde period starts July 4 (July 5 for east Asia) and ends July 28 (July 29 in Europe and points east) . This retrograde moves from 2 Leo back to 22 Cancer, with the inferior conjunction between Mercury and the Sun occurring July 18 at 26 Cancer. This degree is one of "Guests Are Reading In A Library of A Luxurious Home, " symbolizing a point of conscious fruition and "Emergence of consciousness on higher levels of being, once life has been fulfilled at normal levels." It also tells us of "the need to conform to the requirements of one's social status."

I was asked by a reader to explain the meaning of the void points of the current quintile-biquintile pattern between Venus, Mars, and Uranus and how they work. She wondered if a square to a void point mattered, and how to apply the void points of a pattern in our charts. Though technical, I figured my answers to her would help astrologers who frequent this site understand the very important area of aspect configurations, and add a new dimension of chart interpretation to their analyses of how charts work. For those with little knowledge of technical aspects of astrology, please bear with this post, since it is written for astrologers with a degree of knowledge regarding in-depth chart and aspect analysis.

The New Moon falls at 4 degrees Cancer on Sunday, June 25, at 9:05 am PDT. For the last week of June through July 24, expect a lot of cat-and-mouse games and internal and external arguments between points of view. One voice will argue that old ways still work, while others will be pressing for an acceptance on the emotional level to act on recent decisions resulting from fundamental reorientations.

We have an on-going Mars-Saturn conjunction square Jupiter, but another important factor to consider is that Mars and Saturn are biquintile Uranus. The aspects of the quintile series all bring forth unique or specialized qualities, material gifts and particular forms of genius, or the "quintessence" of a person or situation. Currently Venus is also sextile to Mercury and both are quincunx to Pluto, forming a "Yod," or "Finger of God." This would indicate NOW is a particularly unique and important time for all of us.

Visitors to this site know I often refer to a phenomenon which I have termed "The Grand Irrationality." We all know it's happening, and many feel it acutely both within ourselves and with others we encounter. Some seem to be handling it okay, and seem able to function easily despite the obsessive-compulsive behaviors so prevalent in our world. Others are having a harder time with the generic weirdness. It seems as though reason alone is not enough to figure out what's happening, why, and what to do about it. Things are pretty irrational right now, and it seems to many I speak with as though Destiny itself is on the move in most if not all of our lives. Today we will explore what this is all about.

by Robert WilkinsonHelena and Nicholas Roerich were among the most important beings doing truly Spiritual work in the first half of the 20th Century. They were contemporaries of Gandhi, and worked for global disarmament and world peace through culture the last time the world was gripped by
the Grand Irrationality. The thousands of paintings and writings of both are global treasures, and so I try to post a little from time to time. Here's another valuable piece from
Brotherhood, the work of the legendary Helena Roerich and her First Ray Master.

As I see the various trends and vectors in motion, I give you a sense of what is and is to be, short term and long term, so that you can know what challenges affect all of us. When we sort out what we are learning collectively, what is left is our own particular set of challenges, breakthroughs, triumphs, and wisdom quest. When the generic stuff is removed, what's left is us. This is a particularly intense period, so let's pull some stuff together.

We've entered the storm zone, so heads up and stay aware of this sequence of heavy duty aspects over the next week. The Venus square Neptune crested this morning, showing us the winds of destiny and forms of future blessings. It will take courage to "part the curtains leading to a sacred pathway," and enter into the unknown. Find a way of connecting to the source of life and light, strengthen your self-discipline, deepen your insight, and hold on to your great realizations while cultivating self-confidence through forms of purification, however that applies to your life.

The Summer Solstice this year falls on June 21 at 5:26 am PDT. It's the longest day of the year, and said to be the point at which "free will" acts more powerfully than any other time of the year. It is a point of decision, and kicks off Summer, the season of work, play, productivity, and lots of sunshine for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. For those people down under, remember to have a little compassion for us up here in the north when December 21, the Winter Solstice, rolls around and we're freezing while you're enjoying the beach! What follows are some hints as to what we all can expect to experience over the next 3 months, regardless of where we live.

This initiates a major new cycle of activity for all signs, depending on which house it falls in, and how many planets you have in Aries, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, or Pisces. This series of aspects is already beginning to show its influence, and while the Mars part of the equation passes by June 22, we will be living with the Jupiter square Saturn for some time to come, and Neptune part of this powerful T-square will become more evident as the Summer rolls into Autumn. More about its impact on different generations at this link. For the next week and a half, though, Mars begins intense activity and activates some long term Saturn energies while releasing and/or blocking some Jupiter energies, which impacts all signs in huge ways.

Today’s post from The Magic of Space will prove to be of interest to my readers on a healing path, whether healing themselves or healing others as a function of their worldly work and spiritual service. From Chapter 27, "Group Work," comes this gem:
It should be noted here that in true "group work," the highest phase of the work is that done between groups of disciples and groups of Devas, the groups of various Beings from the higher planes of existence. [Deva in Sanskrit is roughly equivalent to Angel in English - RW]

This grew out of a conversation with a friend a while ago, and it's more relevant today than ever. If you're wondering why things are so weird right now, and there are many people and situations that don't make a lot of sense, well, it's been that way for a while, and will be for some time to come. The trick is to learn how to function effectively within the great weirdness without losing our balance and perspective. There are many I know who because of irrational or compulsive behavior on the part of others have had to radically re-evaluate which relationships are really working right now.

This is from one of the oldest books on the planet. As was written in the Introduction about 100 years ago, "…the first form in which we see it is smaller yet. It is a palm leaf manuscript, old beyond computation; so old that even before the time of Christ men had already forgotten its date and the name of its writer, and regarded its origin as lost in the mists of prehistoric antiquity." It was translated from Senzar into Sanskrit, then from Sanskrit into Greek at the time of the Alexandrian mystery schools, and from Greek into English in 1885. I have read and re-read this work countless times in over 30 years, and with each reading I understand its wisdom in a new light.

Laura Bush has a Sun in Scorpio, Taurus Ascendant, and Moon in Pisces. The outstanding feature in her chart is Sun conjunct Jupiter in Scorpio, showing her to be fairly lucky, protected, and imaginative. She believes more in what a person does than what they say, which probably is making her an unhappy camper right now, given that if character is her "god," she cannot be pleased with the behavior of her husband the Incompetent-In-Chief, who has shown he has zero character and lousy morals, besides being very unstable and meanspirited. Whatever we're not being told by the press, there are some tensions going on around the Bush home.

Mars triggers whatever happens of note in our charts. In June 2006, Mars moves into Leo where it begins its conjunction to Saturn which will set a new 2+ year cycle into motion wherever it falls in our charts. This is a particularly strong conjunction since it also squares Jupiter in Scorpio, adding a lot of energy to the conjunction and showing our next 2 years will be concerned with authenticity, self-expression, creativity, play, and reconnecting with our enthusiasm in a more mature and measured way wherever it falls in our charts. We will all have to simplify, stabilize, and see a bigger picture so we can move into a broader group purpose and cooperation. The best way to handle the energies coming is to be a gentle angel, cut back on extravagances as well as pessimism, and find ways to enjoy yourself without overdoing it or repressing what needs to be let loose.

The Full Moon of Sun in Gemini and Moon in Sagittarius is a very important point in the year cycle, as it releases the energies of renewal and rebirth of the Full Moon in Aries-Libra that were concentrated in the Wesak Festival Full Moon of Taurus-Scorpio. This Full Moon occurs on Sunday, June 11, 2006, at 11:03 am PDT, and falls at 21 Gemini-Sagittarius. Until then, we have several very powerful aspects that will assist many, and freak out a few. After then, more of the same.

Karl Rove is one of the most destructive, machiavellian political figures ever to disgrace our country. A destroyer of reputations, he is a legend at attacking his opponent where they are strongest, and will not hesitate to use every dishonest means to achieve his disgusting ends. Though we do not have his exact time of birth, we can do a Solar chart for December 25, 1950, for Denver, CO, and get a very accurate sense of what is, and is in store, for this corrupt man at the pinacle of power.

From our old friend the venerable I Ching, a few words about discerning what is valuable or not, and the difference between the Higher Self and the ego. This ancient repository of Chinese wisdom written by Confucius is an amazing friend, having never given me bad advice in over 30 years. Not a bad track record. From Hexagram 27, Providing Nourishment: "If we wish to know what anyone is like, we have only to observe on whom he bestows his care and what sides of his own nature he cultivates and nourishes." Read on for some pearls of pure wisdom.

Pt. 1 of this subject, I covered the progressed Moon cycle and some of how we experience this 27+ year cycle affecting how we feel life on a day to day, week to week, and month to month level. In this article, we'll explore how it relates to the Saturn cycle, the 29+ year cycle that every few decades brings us the dreaded
Saturn return, not a bad thing if you know how to deal with it, though it seldom is an easy time due to the endings and realities that impress themselves upon our perception.
