Astrology Stress Zones for August 2006 - Mars stimulating Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces

by Robert Wilkinson

Mars triggers whatever happens of note in our charts. In August 2006, Mars moves between 7 and 26 degrees of Virgo, introducing a practical Earth energy into our lives, helping us achieve a more precise discernment about the relative importance of the details of our lives, and what fits where. We’re all being educated in “right action,” initially through a productive Mars sextile Jupiter turning quickly volatile when it opposes revolutionary Uranus the second week of August, and forms a very intense and extreme square to Pluto the last 10 days of the month.

Astrology Hot Zones for August 2006 - An Overview For Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces

by Robert Wilkinson

The month starts with Mercury in double triseptile with Neptune and Pluto, making things very weird for everyone, and a Sun square Jupiter conjunction Saturn, putting the focus on the months-long Jupiter square Saturn. Add a Mars sextile Jupiter and opposition Uranus through mid-month, and you have some solid developments that will show us all a larger dedication that transcends personal attachments. If we keep it simple, pleasant, and grounded, we can accomplish a lot.

Astrology Class - Dispositors and Planetary Influence

by Robert Wilkinson

The sign any planet is in is affected by the sign of the planet that rules that sign. This is called dispositorship. So when Mars is in Cancer, it is heavily affected by the Moon, which rules Cancer. When Mars is in Leo, it will be heavily affected by the sign the Sun is in, since the Sun rules Leo. Mars in Virgo is more influenced by Mercury, and therefore whatever sign Mercury is in. Mars in Libra is affected by whatever sign Venus is in, since Venus rules Libra. When a planet rules the sign another planet is in, we say it “disposes,” or is the dispositor of that planet.

Fire, Earth, Air and Water Element Balance in August-September 2006 Affecting All Signs

by Robert Wilkinson

August and September show rapid shifts in the element balance due to the inner planets changing signs at least twice during the next few weeks, affecting the houses they rule in our charts. Everyone with planets in Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio will continue to go through rapid changes in energy related to these signs, so don’t get confused if you feel differently every so often over the next 9 weeks. This will bring rapid and frequent changes in the houses with these signs on the cusps, affecting over half of everyone's reality. Get ready for lots of shifting developments!

What's Happening For The Week of July 24-31 2006 For All Signs – New Moon in Leo, A Venus Grand Water Trine, and Mercury Stationary Direct

by Robert Wilkinson

This week starts with the New Moon at 3 degrees Leo. (More in this article) It is a time of rapidly developing events, boosted by Mercury speeding up to its Direct Station this Friday, July 28, at 22 degrees Cancer. This portends more “destiny producing” events due to it being the nozzle of 3 points of the Grand Irrationality, discussed here. This is a very important time, when things begin to be coordinated differently and decisions will be made to shift how we view, interpret and understand what we perceive through the 5 senses and the mind. We all have some heavy Mercury lessons to master in the coming months, where we will learn to know what we know through different means than before.

How Astrology Works Pt.1 - Belief systems and checks and balances

by Robert Wilkinson

Today's article is a response to a question a friend posited, that being "Why can't someone just rely on their intuition instead of astrology?" I suppose the short answer is that you can, but just be ready to take the consequences of acting with incomplete knowledge. We all make our decisions limited by our blind spots, our prejudices, and our wishful thinking. We all come from a family and culture with dualistic and inconsistent internal belief systems, and have been shaped by others in ways we barely suspect, by friends and foes, loved ones and strangers alike. In this sense it is useful to remember that all are our teachers, and show us how to raise our experience of life and response, human patterns in a forever changing reality leading us to our Higher Self.

Mahatma Gandhi and our Quantum Reality

by Robert Wilkinson

Though the world is gripped in violence and fear, I believe there are concrete signs of a better reality coming. We who seek truth, goodness, and beauty WILL outlast and outlive the barbarians presently creating so much suffering for so much of humanity. We have already seen signs of a greater awareness, and our understanding of time, space, matter, and energy have evolved to a greater degree than ever before. We now know we live in a quantum reality that morphs as we live it.

Mercury Triseptile Neptune July-August 2006 - A Turning Point In The Destiny of the World, You, and Me

by Robert Wilkinson

For the next two weeks, Mercury is triseptile Neptune and will soon be triseptile Pluto, forming a Kite configuration involving the Grand Irrationality. Any septile series aspect indicates irrational or obsessive-compulsive behavior, as well as forks in the road of life, but the triseptile is different than the other septile series aspects in that it always involves factors symbolizing either a 6th or 7th house relationship to the points making a triseptile. Given that Mercury is forming a nozzle to the triseptiles in question, and the Neptune septile Pluto indicates transpersonal forces beyond individual control, we are now collectively at a huge turning point involving the collective consciousness, the destroyer and transformer of worlds, and Mercury, the Guide of Souls and the coordinating principle within each of us.

Cancer - Sensitive Caring Water Spirits

by Robert Wilkinson

July marks the heart of Summer, a period of maximum Solar force assisting us to do our Being with all the power and determination we can muster. This is a month of fundamental reorientations to be consolidated as a feeling-experience to release a new creative impulse when the Sun enters Leo. July expands the externalizing self-gathering that Summer symbolizes. It is a time of decisions and events that will wreck all that blocks the new way of life we've embraced up to now so accept new ways of experiencing life, new needs and habits, and willingly turn the corner, renouncing old ways of feeling.

What's Happening For The Week of July 17-24 2006 For All Signs – Grand Trines in Fire and Water, Sun, Venus, and Mars change signs, and the New Moon in Leo

by Robert Wilkinson

We’re now in the last quarter Moon phase, so it’s time to complete, follow through, and finalize whatever in-between activities we’re confronting during this Mercury retrograde period lasting through July 28. Monday features some very productive Moon in Aries aspects creating a Grand Fire Trine supported by Venus and Neptune, while the Fixed T-square of Tuesday at the time of the Inferior Conjunction of Mercury with the Sun at 26 Cancer will release powerful forces into Aquarius.

Einstein On Spirit, Natural Law, and Humanity

by Robert Wilkinson

While going through my archives, I ran across two quotes from Einstein that seem somehow relevant in this weird time of shouting heads. For your consideration:

"The harmony of natural law reveals an intelligence of such superiority that, compared with it, all the systematic thinking and acting of human beings is an utterly insignificant reflection."

Advanced Astrology Class – Venus Opposition Pluto Semisquare and Sesquisquare Jupiter Square Saturn

by Robert Wilkinson

I focused on the extremely dynamic time we’re in for the next few days in this article about Venus and Pluto in an opposition sextile trine pattern with Mars in Leo. This powerful and very positive energy field is being released through the other remarkable configuration simultaneously occurring involving four points of a Great Octile, planets in a 45-90-135-180 degree angle pattern. The four planets in the title are dynamically releasing energies that are frictional, crisis producing, and force us to learn “right action.”

Astrology Class – Venus opposition Pluto sextile Mars Trine Pluto

by Robert Wilkinson

We have a very powerful configuration at work for the next few days involving Mars trine Pluto, Venus sextile Mars, and Venus opposition Pluto. The exact opposition sextile trine, as it is called, is a “cut to the chase” configuration, and creates enormous tension with a lot of understanding pushing affairs forward productively. We all have the ability to make progress despite conflicting or opposing forces, many of which are about to lose their power to distract our focus from achieving our larger ambitions.

Affirmations, Thought-Forms, And Changing the Negative Tapes In Our Heads

by Robert Wilkinson

A fan of both my sites asked me to offer some thoughts “on creating reality using affirmations to replace any negative tapes that may be playing in our heads.” This is a great idea, since if “matter follows thought,” and “thoughts are things,” then we should take time to train our minds to bring forth positive and useful thoughts rather than repeat the same old unhelpful images that are making us feel negative.

Astrology Stress Zones for July 2006 - Mars stimulating Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces

by Robert Wilkinson

Mars triggers whatever happens of note in our charts. In July 2006, Mars moves through the last half of Leo and enters Virgo July 22. Around mid-month it makes a waning quintile to Jupiter in Scorpio, bringing unique gifts and special gifts and talents into play directly related to Mars’ previous conjunction to Saturn and square to Jupiter in June which set a new 2+ year cycle into motion wherever it fell in our charts. In July Mars also makes a powerful trine to Pluto, favoring efficiency and getting to the core of any matter as a means to open new beginnings and quick response to needed action.

What's Happening For The Week of July 8 through July 15 For All Signs - the Full Moon of Cancer-Capricorn with Venus opposed Pluto

by Robert Wilkinson

Many areas can be brought to quick completion or fulfillment in the next few days, since the Full Moon occurs 8:02 pm PDT on July 10 2006 (July 11th in Atlantic Daylight time and points east.) This lunation falls at 19 Capricorn, promising increasing self-confidence and a time of rising to the occasion by manifesting skills that may seem ahead of their time. This will capture the light of 19 Cancer, where the old accepts the new, the experience accepts the potential, and we assimilate subconscious material in ways that blends what has been with what will be.

Practical Astrology in July 2006 - What is Mercury Retrograde in Cancer Good For?

by Robert Wilkinson

This article should be read in conjunction with the article "What is Mercury Retrograde in Leo Good For?" since Mercury starts its retrograde in Leo, but spends most of its period in Cancer. There are many things that are favored while Mercury is retrograde, despite the general opinion that it leads to massive confusion, miscommunication, and things going everywhere and nowhere all at once. Usually, it's the beginning of the period that is most difficult for people, and yet if you know how to adjust your sense of timing, you'll see things fall into place in ways you never suspected.

Astrology Class - Mercury retrograde and the Superior and Inferior Conjunction

by Robert Wilkinson

2 critical points in the Sun-Mercury cycle are the inferior conjunction of Merc to the Sun while retrograde, and the superior conjunction, which is when Mercury again catches up to conjunct the Sun while direct, leading eventually to the next inferior conjunction during the next Mercury retrograde.

Astrology Now - Happy Sun conjunct Sirius in Cancer

by Robert Wilkinson

We assume that America was "born" on July 4, 1776. It wasn't. That was the day some bold men signed a document telling a despot to stick it where the Sun doesn't shine. Unfortunately, despots, being what they are, keep popping up over the ages, afflicting their people through their selfish policies that benefit their cronies at the expense of the rest of us.

Practical Astrology in July 2006 - What is Mercury Retrograde in Leo Good For?

by Robert Wilkinson

I was asked a while ago to write something about what Mercury retrograde is good for. We all know we're NOT supposed to sign contracts, make purchases of electronics, make major moves or decisions, and are supposed to hang out with the energies, seeing that things may not be as they appear, and so on. That said, there are many things that a Mercury retrograde period is good for, such as traveling. I have found that as long as one is flexible, retrograde travel is actually a good thing.

Visible and Invisible Planes of Consciousness, Perception, and Matter

by Robert Wilkinson

Today's offering from The Magic of Space, may help to clarify what is the true nature of the 7 Planes of Consciousness. From Chapter V, “The Enigma of Matter,” this explanation:

The ancient occult teachings have always insisted upon the presence of numerous planes of existence, of which our own particular plane is only one. And all of these numerous planes are equally within the realms of Nature – none is supernatural. There exists always a correspondence between these several planes of manifestation, and, under supernormal conditions, a certain degree of communication is possible between them.
