Mercury Triseptile Neptune July-August 2006 - A Turning Point In The Destiny of the World, You, and Me

For the next two weeks, Mercury is triseptile Neptune and will soon be triseptile Pluto, forming a Kite configuration involving the Grand Irrationality. Any septile series aspect indicates irrational or obsessive-compulsive behavior, as well as forks in the road of life, but the triseptile is different than the other septile series aspects in that it always involves factors symbolizing either a 6th or 7th house relationship to the points making a triseptile. Given that Mercury is forming a nozzle to the triseptiles in question, and the Neptune septile Pluto indicates transpersonal forces beyond individual control, we are now collectively at a huge turning point involving the collective consciousness, the destroyer and transformer of worlds, and Mercury, the Guide of Souls and the coordinating principle within each of us.

According to Michael Meyer in "A Handbook for the Humanistic Astrologer," the triseptile process is "Co-operation with a collective need or cosmic force." This seems to be a simplified way of saying this aspect involves cooperative interaction between forces of destiny that shape the lives of many simultaneously. I believe the waxing triseptile involves irrational cooperative collective activity to satisfy some practical need for adjustment or restoration of a form of "health" whether individual, social, or global, whereas the waning triseptile involves irrational cooperative collective activity to satisfy some theoretical, interactive, or idealistic need on the same three levels of possible manifestation.

Mercury, the rational, logical mind that coordinates activities, is now in an aspect where its usual rationality isn't working as usual, thus the insanity that has recently erupted in our world. It shows no signs of abating for the next few weeks, and the present massive bloodshed seems to be part of a long-term plan to move certain forces into play so that future problems will supposedly be averted, which is highly unlikely, since these memories of slaughter will not disappear very soon. This configuration is "casting the die of fate" for many people all over the world. It began when the Sun formed the nozzle with Neptune and Pluto late last week, and Mercury camped out in the zone is sure to set some things into motion for a long time to come.

On an individual level, this is impacting all our Gemini and Virgo houses and planets, as well as any houses those planets rule in our charts. Whatever house we have late Cancer occupying, that's where the nozzle is focusing the weird energies of mid-Aquarius and late Sagittarius. Our Cancer sector is where the decisions are being made that impact those houses ruled by Gemini and Virgo.

For example, Mercury is presently in my 12th house, and rules the 2nd and 11th in my natal chart. I am at a turning point in my motives, as well as what needs closure in my life. I have come to a fork in the road about certain old things that used to cause me sorrow, and am unwilling to continue those patterns, thus it is a time of doing "closure rituals" about certain things, those primarily involving 2nd and 11th house issues and affairs.

I also have Saturn in Virgo, so Mercury is impacting that planet as well through dispositorship. Since Mercury is quintile my Saturn, I am deriving specialized gifts through unique circumstances. Also impacted are my progressed Sun and Mars, both in Gemini. So the Sun and Mars, rulers of my 1st, 4th, and 9th, as well as the natal ruler of my 6th and 7th (Saturn) are being moved by forces of destiny through forks in the road of my life where I am making choices about what to close, and where I am getting a vaster perspective of what motivates me as well as the "movie of my life."

There are other possible manifestations as well, but it would be impossible to address them in an article, or even a book. Remember your chart is "the book of your life," and as such has many different ways it works and can be interpreted, based in the mindset of the viewer at the time. Still, I've tried to offer a few hints about how this very complex aspect series is being made manifest, so choose carefully, since your life and destiny are being made in a very real sense for many years to come.

UPDATE: Due to recent global events, I'll make a brief comment on how this phenomenon is related to the current massive upheaval in the Middle East and elsewhere. In political astrology, also known as "Mundane Astrology," the planets have similar functions in a nation's chart as they do in an individual or corporate chart. Neptune septile Pluto is working things out in relentless fashion, bringing pressure that is dissolving many of the conventional ways we humans have done things, including interactions between nations.

Mercury as nozzle for the energies would indicate that communications, media, coordination of national affairs, and many others things are presently at collective turning points, and showing their ability to coordinate in the midst of the craziness, or not. Obviously this impacts the national sectors (shown by the houses) that are ruled by Mercury. Any Gemini or Virgo planets or houses in any nation's chart are now under irrational pressure, and decisions are being made around the world that have little or no basis in rational thought.

This applies to any organization, formal or informal, that has a "birth chart." If someone on a board of directions is obsessive or compulsive, you can expect to see signs of that, or if a corporation is forced to make a major decision, forces are in motion that may not make much sense but will produce changes anyway that alter the course of destiny for that company. Whether on an individual or collective level, the current strange forces in motion are producing patterns that will re-shape live in the future for a long time to come.

I am having a lot of "endings" in my life especially in relationships. It's a feeling that I can no longer tolerate certain behavior toward me. Also I am unwilling to tolerate the "status quo."

The fact the Americans are not in the streets demanding impeachment is the Grand Irrationality!

Hi. I would like an ending to a relationship in my life, but this person is in my family... and well, will always be around me. I'm very clear in my head about how I feel, and why I'm hurt, but I don't think it will do much good really to say anything, and I am very capable I assure you. (It's a cousin by the way, my only female cousin, 15 years younger than me. But I don't believe her behaviour is about youth). I am on an interesting precipice. Pluto is transiting my 5th house.

Hi Christine - Our spiritual family is our true family. More and more will recognize this as the future descends on our collective heads. Communnity, friends, cooperation is everything. It's not about persuading anyone of anything. Those who volunteer to be in their integrity, associating with others in their integrity, are the ones we'll wind up associating with, while the others go the way of the winds of time. I've know those who were old grumps at 20, and youthful enthusiastic spirits at 70, generous or ungenerous at any age, so you're right, some things are not a youth-age type of thing. The 5th is the 3rd from the 3rd, the 11th from the 7th, and the 7th from the 11th. As you know, the 3, 7, and 11th houses are the relational houses, so look at Pluto as purifying elements of those houses.

Hmmm...My Moon,(10th) Mercury(9th), pluto (10th)& midheaven (10th) are all in virgo. My Saturn is in Gemini in the (7th) 23-8-1971- London UK 13.55pm. I'm sensing something is in the air. what does this mean for me?

I have a question for you.

I have been asked to organise a healing field at a larger festival. I sense that this is my path & should go ahead and work with these people. However, I've had real and imagined issues with one of the women(Virgo) regarding my position within the scheme of this event, in fact i have removed most of the women I know from my life (sometimes it's just emotionally safer that way). what would you advise? I'm alittle worried that this woman will try to use me for my contacts and, once I have put the event together, I won't hear from them again! I'm wondering if I would be better off using my site and newsletter to estabish an income.I have built up so many contacts in this field...it seems ashame to disolve this completely.

I'm also considering moving a travel agency-ish thing. or should I stick with Health and Healing.

Hi HP - No, just VERY busy with clients, giving metaphysical talks, taking law classes, preparing documents, and other pressing professional matters. What you're sensing is impossible for me to comment on given the lack of reference points.

As for the question - if you allow others to dictate what you do, and are afraid you may be ripped off doing it, then either you quit altogether in this dishonest world, or develop protective mechanisms so you minimize the potential for loss. "Issues" with someone is a vague concept. I simply have nothing to do with ripoff artists, regardless of how tempting the offer seems.

Contacts are what they are. If they're your friends, set up something ahead of time so you're not cut out. Otherwise you have to quarantine the person who could rip you off from your contacts. If that's not possible, then stop worrying about what someone else might do, and do your thing so well you cannot be ignored or dismissed. Or just blow off the snake pit of rip off artists and devote yourself to your site and newsletter to establish your income. Naturally you're suited for health and healing work, but that doesn't necessarily exclude doing a travel agent thing.

Hi HP - no bother, just that it seems like you're at a big turning point, and have many decisions to make. Comment streams are never adequate for solutions to pressing life problems. I believe you're going to have maximum visibility and professional/public recognition and maybe authority within the next two years, so pursue your long range best interests and don't dance with ripoff artists any more than you absolutely must. In fact, I suggest you drop anyone that is stealing your time, energy, or resources. They need you more than you need them. Take the power by widening the view, get whatever broader and higher learning or info that you need while Saturn is in your 9th, and now that Mercury is direct, the decisions you make will be more likely to stick. Now through mid-August will give hints of what to expect from this September through Summer 2007.
