I’ve posted many articles in the past several weeks full of important info for what we’re going through right now, so today I’ll give you a one stop shop to make it easy. We start with a post on the current Saturn opposition Neptune with both squared by Jupiter, since the Saturn opposed Neptune culminates today. It’s the first opposition of three, so stay focused and be alert to this long term, very peculiar energy.

Ralph Waldo Emerson was one of the most amazing beings to grace 19th century America, and as I mentioned in this article on communing with the source of Divine inspiration, "he... gave young America intellectual and philosophical credibility and direction." His wisdom is profound, practical, and still very relevant in our irrational world. Today we explore some things he said about "Self-Reliance."

There is not a moment in life when things are not changing. Though we long for comfort and predictability, still events move forward within the medium we call time. Time is how we measure our experience, our movement between understandings and points of view, and ultimately the means by which we learn to live in the NOW.

In an oversight, I neglected to mention that since mid-August through September 10th, mas o menos, Saturn will be making a triseptile to Uranus, thus compounding the weird irrationality we’re living with. This septile series where we confront important forks in the road is of major importance, since it involves Saturn and Uranus. These planets indicate where our genius and uniqueness must find a structure within which we can grow and evolve. It specifically affects wherever we have Leo, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces.

Dane Rudhyar, one of the greatest astrologers of all time, said something profound about astrology in the last part of his masterwork, “An Astrological Mandala,” where he reinterpreted the Sabian Symbols used by so many in the craft. Today is a tiny but significant piece from that work.

The coming week brings major developments, some very good, others crashing old dishonesty and coercive or corrosive behaviors. We're beening given chances to get behind inhibitions and find new ways of doing things others may not understand. While the edge of brilliance is in the air, so is the sense that we're all about to take a left turn at "Eternity Boulevard," ending some things forever while opening to new perspectives. There's magic, but so is confusion, deluded idealism, with many things being unveiled, especially for those trying to hide something.

There seems to be quite a buzz about these two revelations now making the news. What they're not telling you is far more than what they are, so today I figured I'd combine these two topics to give you my take on these late breaking, somewhat bizarre stories.

John Lennon once sang that we are "super stars." From the Magic of Space, we are told our origins are more noble than imagined, and that we are part of a greater thought-form of a higher spiritual Love-Light by Celestial Beings, some of whom are hinted at in legend, mythology, and holy books. All is consciousness, some greater, some lesser, some solar, some galactic.

The coming weeks bring very dynamic metaphysical activity as Sun, Mercury, and Venus oppose Uranus and square Pluto in September, with Uranian quincunxes in October. Jupiter's ongoing double square to separating but powerful Saturn opposition Neptune translates the force in a powerful T-square throwing energy into Taurus. All the planets are bundled in a narrow span between Leo and Sagittarius, favoring concentration but not offering much breadth of vision. The recent trines from Leo to Sagittarius helped many fulfill a measure of their dreams and rekindle the fire in their lives, and show us what's to come beginning November 2006 through 2007.

This is the equivalent of a "pregnant pause" in cosmic time, with new initiatives coming very soon with the New Moon at 1 Virgo on August 23 (August 24 in Europe and points east.) The New Moon sets seeds into motion for the following few weeks, so try to finish things up for the next two days, sit with the potential on Wednesday, and then move things out into the world on Thursday August 24. Reckless actions will create spectacular crashes after Friday August 25, given the Moon's transit of the Virgo point of the Grand Irrationality recently made active by Mercury's station. This is followed by Venus conjunct Saturn opposed to Neptune at the threshold of the extremely heavy Saturn opposition Neptune in effect for many months to come. When in doubt, do nothing illegal or unethical, as impulsive or extreme actions will lead to destructive consequences.

Who Are You? Do you know why others can make you lose your equilibrium and you find yourself doing strange things? As you know, dispassion, detachment, discrimination, and genuine Goodwill toward others are the antidotes to the sources of suffering. In today’s offering from the venerable Magic of Space we are offered words of wisdom about how to deal with the part of us that gets confused, angry, whirled around, or spun out.

This week starts with an "old Moon," meaning it's a good time to finish old things, but new initiatives should not be pushed until after the New Moon on August 23 at 1 Virgo. In fact, the usual rule is not to start new projects until the Moon is at least one sign away from the Sun, since its fecundative, gestative energies get swamped by the sheer force of the Solar power represented by the Sun. The best part of the week involves Mercury trine Pluto, helping us cut through the bs and get clear about what is and is not true, and bringing us messages and communications related to the Sun trine Pluto "cut to the chase" energies of last week.

There are several ways to find out how compatible we are with another, and where our points of harmony and friction occur. Many have compatibility and/or composite charts done for a prospective loved one, and these offer much valuable information. There is another crucial chart to have calculated before we marry, and that's the Marriage chart, done for the time of initiating the marriage ceremony. This begins the adventure, and gives new momentum and energy to a relationship.

It is useful in the middle of the radical changes we're all going through to remember that we are Eternal Beings having human experiences. What we must go through fulfills the law of our being and actualizes old karmic lessons while offering us opportunities to transmute our response so we don't have to go through them again.

It seems that yesterday's post has stirred the pot of infinite questions, and offers us the topic for today. A reader asked how two people who share the same birthday could be "complete opposites in everything except determinedness and wanting our own way." Without giving away anything personal I can say the question was asked by an Aquarius. So just why are two people born the same day so different, and what would such a contact mean?

A fan asked me the question, "Have any idea what affects differences within the same sign?" She wrote (edited for brevity), "I am a Scorpio and I have friends and family members who also are Scorpios. Typically we get along well and in a lot of ways are similar. But... there is this person who is a Scorpio and not at all similar to the rest of us... I'm just wondering if this has to do with the year, the particular time of month or which month (Oct/Nov) he was born in..." A great question, and one I've heard expressed by many. What does make two people of the same Sun sign different?

Here's another gem from "Brotherhood," of the remarkable Agni Yoga series. Today's offering may help clarify the bond that unites all who share a dedication to making a better world. I chose the title in the interest of moving beyond gender distinctions, as I believe that Fellowship is a valid substitute for the conceptual terms "Brotherhood" and "Sisterhood."

The coming week is filled with great aspects, despite the two Fixed T-squares that start the week and the Mutable T-square on Thursday. Mercury is now out of the span it traversed during its recent retrograde, and is tracking the light of last week’s Solar T-square, giving us ideas, information, and insights about what works and what doesn’t. This week’s Moon in Taurus and Cancer are great for planting, cosmetic work, and haircuts, so schedule accordingly.

From The Magic of Space, some words of assistance for overcoming this crippling, destructive emotional virus while learning to be more conscious of your power to turn your mind toward beneficial things. This will be a critical skill in the coming period. A sample: "You are given the power of intelligence to choose those things to which you wish to respond. Your development will depend a great deal upon how you are able to choose the unseen vibrations. No one is immune to vibrations, whether he is conscious of them or not."

Reflecting on some vast cycles of time, I note that we are within a span that only happens about once every 5 centuries or so, with a few variations. The outer planets, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, move very slowly, and correlate with larger spans of human history. They are symbols of greater change across generations, and across centuries. Which sign they are in shows what is revolutionizing, what is dissolving, and what is purifying across humanity as a whole. When they all are within a certain span, it seems that interesting changes and mutations in social-cultural manifestations occur more than at other times.

Our planets show the people in our life. Each of the planets in our chart represents an important person in our life. Actually, they represent many people in our life, past, present and future. For example, when we were young our Sun sign was represented by our father and our Moon sign our mother. Our brothers and sisters were represented by other planets, maybe even an entire configuration in our chart. In this case, it may be that a sibling set off multiple responses in our life and character development, and helped us reveal how various parts of our inner nature are connected.

I thought we should re-visit this very important series of aspects coming down over the next three months, since they seem to be scrambling the attitude and lives of a whole lot of people on Earth right now. These outer planets don’t move very quickly, which is why it feels a bit like a few 8000 pound gorillas came for a visit and stayed for a couple dozen weeks! They're affecting the sectors where we have Leo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces, so everyone's getting major changes in 1/2 of their lives, and we've just entered into the most intense part of the cycle.

This week many things can be brought to quick completion, as we move into the heart of the Solar T-square with the Full Moon occurring August 9, 3:54 am PDT, at 17 degrees of Leo and Aquarius. This puts the focus on what we learned about cultivating protective mechanisms when Uranus moved across that point in 1999-2000, and what we’ll need to implement over the next few months as Neptune sits on that point where it goes stationary direct in late October 2006.

Today we celebrate the shining star that is the sign of Leo, and explore the qualities of this noble, giving, loving, powerful Fire sign that represents the principle of Solar Fire, one of the three cosmic fires that pervade our solar system. We all have this "kingly" or "queenly" royal quality somewhere in our charts, the area where we are the law, the light, and the center of power holding court in our own private solar system. Leo shows us the way to center ourselves in our higher law.
