Yesterday I noted we’re at the end of the Mars-Jupiter cycle that began around the Autumnal Equinox 2004. This has influenced many areas of our lives and we are now turning toward a new one to come December 2006. Those 2004 conjunctions are extremely important since one fell at 30 Virgo, the degree of the present 2006 Solar Eclipse, indicating the illuminated expansions we embraced between Autumn 2004-2005 directly relate to however we are about to “escape from a narrow destiny.” More on the present eclipse can be found by following the internal links in that article. What follows elaborates on the Mars-Jupiter cycle we’ve been living within for 2 years.
As I wrote then in this article
“… the Autumn Equinox occurs on September 22 (2004) at 9:30 am, PDT. The equinox marks the time that the Sun enters Libra, when day and night are of equal length. It begins autumn, the time of harvest, when outer forms begin to give way to lengthening nights and lessening solar force (in our northern hemisphere). Life is turning inward, with the fruits of summer fulfilled. These are natural rhythms all of us live within.
There are extremely important conjunctions occurring at this time of seasonal change, both before the equinox and after. Any time the Sun, Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter all come together, expect big happenings. On September 21, the Sun conjunct Jupiter at the last degree of Virgo gives an indicator of expansions over the next 13 months. That degree is said to be the fulfillment of different kinds of "education," and will enlarge more than we think. It's about joyously rising to an occasion.
Following the Sun's path, Jupiter enters Libra on September 24, moving onto the equinoctial degree which is said to symbolize a huge change toward one's higher image of Self. "A butterfly made perfect by a dart through it" was said by Rudhyar to suggest a process of perfection through sacrifice. It is an important time to re-vision our ideal, and find a more perfect form of ourselves to project outward to our world.
Mars enters Libra on September 26, and its conjunction with Jupiter later that day will trigger a 27 month long-wave expansion "pulse" originating on the equinoctial degree. To have two important conjunctions one degree apart on a critical degree is a very rare event…. The upshot is that these multiple conjunctions set new cycles into motion in the areas of your charts in which it falls. The planets involved rule Aries, Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Pisces. New work and new roles will move in the direction of your life connected with the house it falls in. Activity in the specific house, influencing the areas in your charts associated with the above signs.
I then linked to a previous article where I had introduced what the Mars-Jupiter cycle we’ve been in would look like:
”These compression conjunctions usher in an era of intense focus… wherever the Virgo-Libra cusp falls in our charts …. The multiple conjunctions between Sun, Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter in the last degree of Virgo and Libra One will give a huge liftoff booster to the chart area where this massive conjunction occurs.
For Aries and Aries Rising, it puts focus in the 6th house. For Taurus and Taurus Ascendant, the 5th house. Gemini - 4th house. Cancer - 3rd house. Leo - 2nd house. Virgo - 1st house. Libra - 12th house. Scorpio - 11th house. Sagittarius - 10th house. Capricorn - 9th house. Aquarius - 8th house. Pisces - 7th house….
This major alignment also affects the areas in our charts ruled by Aries, Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Pisces. That's over half our reality! We shall all be freed from a narrow destiny by "an unexpected telephone call that frees us from routine duty." Sounds like a lot of us are going to be called to a different sort of "duty" from what we've been occupied with the past few months and years.
The way will certainly become very clear, since Virgo deals with perfection of form and Libra represents an ideal or icon to demonstrate a more perfect form of some archetype to humanity. The cusp of these signs will show the way that we've been functionally educated to fulfill an ideal of a transfigured form of "spiritual perfection."
Boiling it down to soup, expect huge changes and transfigurations in your life ideals and sense of who you are in the area of your chart where these conjunctions fall. We've all been educated in a way that shows our practical individuality. Now is the time when "the butterfly of our perfected self" will show its immortal form.
So as we enter this twilight time of the rapidly ending Mars-Jupiter cycle, harvest, consolidate, focus, and get ready to embrace a new 26 month adventure beginning December 2006, when Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter all conjunct within a 38 hour span at 3 and 4 degrees of Sagittarius. And certainly I’ll discuss what the coming cycle means in depth as it gets closer. For now, reflect on the past two years, and see how the Mars-Jupiter dance has helped you change your life to mirror your highest intention, a larger adventure in learning and living, and free you to live your archetype.

Hello Robert,
As always, on point and ever illuminating! It reminds me of this scene in The Matrix spoken by Morpheus...
"You take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to. You take the red pill, and stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes."
Metaphorically speaking, my higher elf chose the red one a long time ago and I can't wait to see how this chapter will end and what the next one will bring :-)
Thank you,
Juliet

Hi Juliet - "One pill makes you larger and one pill makes you small and the ones that mother gives you don't do anything at all, go ask Alice when she's ten feet tall..." ;-)

"You know the day destroys the night
Night divides the day
Tried to run
Tried to hide..."
December cannot come soon enough!!!!

One of my favorites. This one too:
My eyes have seen you
My eyes have seen you
Eyes have seen you
Let them photograph your soul
Memorize your alleys
On an endless roll

Nice one!
An oldie but goodie to be sure...
"Yes, there are two paths you can go by,
but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on. "

This coming December shall be interesting, as the conjunction falls 4* short of my natal Saturn at 8* of Saggitarius, and makes a square of Pluto at 0* Virgo.

Hello Robert
Pondering the changes that have affected me, over the last two years. I think my lessons were to face my biggest fears and confront them. The choices I had been making were not good for me especially, on male front. There was a huge element of self sacrifice underlying these relationships. However, sometimes it was like being bonded to these negative souls by, an unseen psychic agreement/ contract. If these situations had been left to continue, fate may have taken the right to choose, out of my hands. It got to the point where I did not know if I could protect myself, or trust my own judgement.
Recently,I have been faced with an ex...whom I thought was the ONE. I decided to explore the injustices which prevailed in this relationship. Finally there's completion. It's taken five years mind....I don't hold a grudge!...lol
I hope that the universe will provide a partner/ amigo on the next legg of my journey. But, one that has a similar sense of morals, and vision for the future. If the universe also desires...he can be a millonaire too!...Just kidding
