This week’s big news is the Solar Eclipse on Friday (more on the Solar Eclipse effect here) and the final Jupiter square Neptune next Sunday, bringing to an end a long battle between optimism and confusion, opportunity and vagueness, vision and procrastination, expansion and occasional drifting into foggy realms. There are great Lunar aspects all week, so complete what you need to before the Eclipse, and get ready to embrace a new life in the very near future. (If you're wondering about the Sun square Pluto happening NOW, click here.)
Jupiter’s degree is one of Transfiguration, and the voids in the final square to Neptune promise heart alchemy and dissatisfaction against old stuffy thinking. Open your mind, clean out obsolete or stuck interpretations, and see the excellence in what you’ve completed that opens the door to a greater faith, a more heartfelt release, and get ready to be freed from “a narrow destiny.”
We’ve already begun to experience the effects of the recent Lunar Eclipse, so keep rehearsing, keep releasing, keep refining, and keep adjusting in balanced ways. September 20 will show activity related to that eclipse, and since it’s an “old Moon” through September 22, finish up whatever needs completion, and get a form of illumination about what’s passing.
The week starts on Sept 18 with the Moon in Leo conjunct Saturn triggering the Fixed T-square. When the Moon is in a Fixed sign, it’s said to be a good time to treat your garden for pests and anything which requires “fixity,” such as laying stone, putting in fence posts, or getting fillings (unless the Moon is in Taurus, when dental work is nyet good!) This square throws the void into Taurus, which should crystallize some things in productive ways, since it falls just before the extremely favorable Venus sextile Jupiter culminating Sept 19.
The Moon enters Virgo 5:07 pm PDT on Sept 19. Due to this moving into opposition with Uranus and conjunct Venus on Sept 20-21, the Venus influence will be strong through Sept 21, harmonizing many things that have come to the surface as a result of the recent Venus opposition Uranus. Though an unpredictable influence, we can now see the value in our training and education forced on us through events in the first half of the month through the Lunar transit that dominates Sept 20-21.
The Moon enters Libra at 6:06 am PDT September 22, just after the New Moon Solar Eclipse and just before the Autumnal Equinox, and continues in that sign until Sept 24, 6:54 pm PDT when it enters Scorpio. When the Moon is in Libra, it’s said to be a good time for any form of beauty care and treatments, including hair appointments, as well as social harmony and understanding the more refined and aesthetically pleasing aspects of life.
Sept 23 features some great aspects including a Moon conjunct the culminating Mercury trine Neptune, showing the possibility of receiving messages and information from Divine Mind. Since it’s in effect all week, attune, research, follow your intuition, and see a more global picture. Just be careful that Neptune, still very “afflicted” by Jupiter and Saturn, doesn’t lead you into places that seem accurate but are superficial and/or out of balance. Still, this week should yield some important understanding between the larger scope of our lives and affairs being unveiled by Neptune through the end of 2006 and the specific ideas, views, and interpretations we need to move forward these next few months.
The span ends with Jupiter square Neptune culminating Sept 24, and though the Moon is void of course beginning 7:11 am PDT, the Moon harmonizing with Pluto can help us see deeper into something, helping us understand why some people are so weird, indicated by the culminating Venus square Pluto on the morning of Sept 25.
Since these hard aspects are a major influence all week, see if there’s somebody who’s been blocking your ability to get results, or getting you lost in loose ends, and turn a corner in how much you allow yourself to be influenced by their extreme, bizarre, or corrosive energies. Finish whatever purifications you’ve been doing up to now, finish pruning back extraneous information and activities, and say goodbye to the Jupiter-Neptune square that’s dominated everyone on Earth since late 2005.
Though it will be activated from time to time in the next few weeks due to Lunar transits, the influence will still be in the rearview mirror rather than in front of us. The near future will be a great time to see how we have come out of confusion, unrealistic idealism, ambivalence, or procrastination the past 9 months, and get clarity about what we are moving into, especially with the Mercury trine Neptune and sextile Saturn active this week.
The Mercury sextile Saturn all week is productive for stabilizing mind, information, and communications, so put things together, and find ways to revitalize in natural, enjoyable ways. Since this week is followed by very productive and harmonious aspect the last week of September, close out the hassles and get ready to set sail at the Eclipse toward better relationships, better ideals, and a more balanced way of life, once you’ve let go of narrow thinking and excess worry and criticism.
