Jupiter in Sagittarius should bring wider horizons, new adventures, new visions of higher truths, and new freedom to us all. Jupiter, the "expansive principle" inside us, "guru" in Sanskrit, teaches us various ways to liberate ourselves as it makes it way through the zodiac. Now that it has entered one of the signs it rules, it will show us one face of its natural energy, Pisces being the other. Since it rules both these signs, expect to see its influence immediately in the areas in our charts influenced by Sagittarius and Pisces, as well as wherever we have our Jupiter by sign and house.
It also will bring an immediate influence from late November through mid-January due to the Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars in Sagittarius, and shift the energies governing how Uranus and Pluto are manifesting in our lives, since it rules the signs all those planets are in. Thus many areas of our lives will show a more Sagittarian face, and everything we have in Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Pisces will have a direct Sagittarian backdrop.
Even our Capricorn and Aquarius houses and planets will have this influence, since those signs are ruled by Saturn, and Saturn is in Leo, ruled by the current Sun in Sagittarius. Since the Moon goes through signs ruled by one of these, it also will impact our Cancer planets and houses. Thus we're in a unique position to get as pure and clear a sense of what Sagittarius is about the next few weeks, until the Sun enters Capricorn and makes a mutual reception with Saturn.
Jupiter initiates great new beginnings when in Cardinal signs, opens new stable freedoms when in the Fixed signs, and distributes deeper, wider, more varied types of energies in the Mutable signs. Jupiter rules the mutable signs of Sagittarius and Pisces, thus mutability is an inherent part of Jupiter's nature, and why it can do such rich and prodigal distributions of whatever realm it touches. Sag is Mutable Fire, so expect lots of Fiery energy to be broadly distributed over the next 12 months.
It moves forward through April 2007, when it goes stationary retrograde at 20 Sagittarius on April 6, 2007. It then retrogrades back to 10 Sagittarius, going stationary direct on August 7, 2007, retracing its steps through December 18, 2007 when it slips into Capricorn. After that point in time how we're experiencing the Uranus and Pluto energies will be much more Capricorn in flavor, and will begin a time for us to organize the vision of the coming year into forms of personal power and authority.
Until then, go for freedom, liberate yourself from old limitations of magnetism, vision, or motive. It's time to get a broader view and a sense of humor about what's going on, and those without vision or humor will most suffer after this opportunity passes.
Obviously each sign will have its own quality of responding to Jupiter in Sag energies. Expect your life to take on a more inspired outreach wherever it affects and stay open to learning a broader point of view. NOTE: If you were born the 3rd week of your month, you have elements of the sign that follows yours, though the areas Jupiter affects is still accurate for your sign. And now, how it will affect your specific sign:
Aries: More travel, more higher learning, more seeing the bigger picture of how old sorrows and self-undoing behaviors had to give way to new freedom, new truth, and a new future. The bonds have been loosened or shattered altogether, so get out and roam where you will and learn all you can!
Taurus: More losses, more room to move, and more opportunities for your partnerships to expand in many ways. You'll see how old goals, ambitions, desires, and friends need a new sorting out so you can eliminate everything you don't need in the adventure to come in 2008.
Gemini: Your relationships are all over the map, as is your sense of direction. You'll get new opportunities through traveling to see people and situations with greater humor, or a wider sense of the inner and outer connectedness we all are together. It's a turning point, so give others the space they need.
Cancer: A wider view of your work is in order, as is a more adventurous sense of your pursuit of truth and alternative futures. You should enjoy good health if you don't overdo it, and find foreign cures, or work in foreign places a roadmap to a greater freedom than you've known in awhile.
Leo: The next 12 months opens new ways of relating to children, new self-expression, play, and fun. You can see how old losses and defeats led you to a wider view of your spontaneity, and what was a magnetic struggle in 2006 is a whole new game in 2007, with you steering the boat.
Virgo: Get ready to move, or at least get a sense of humor about your family and/or your early life. You may be thrown into an adventure of opening to new types of relationships, and many things may seem to be a gamble. Take them, as they're not as risky as they seem.
Libra: You can learn some great truths from your comrades, and this will open many inspired points of view, ideas, and interpretations. Use imagination to learn about work and health, and see the coming months as a grand learning adventure boosting future ambitions and effectiveness.
Scorpio: You can capture what you need to sustain your momentum of the adventure you started in 2006, so stay flexible, creative, playful, and open to new ideas, perspectives, and freer futures. Give children and your own natural self-expression more freedom, humor, and room to grow.
Sagittarius: This is the beginning of 12 years of magic, adventure, or any other thing you know is true for you, depending on the foundations you've set and new ones you're open to. This is an escape from an old base of operations, so greet your quest philosophically with humor and openness.
Capricorn: You can escape from an old intense heaviness by reading and thinking about a bigger picture of faraway places and distant realms of consciousness. What you learn will free you from sorrow and allow you to see the humor and greater potentials in immediate situations.
Aquarius: New friendships will show you greater futures and larger truths than you ever imagined. Your finances should stabilize nicely this year if you don't get into power struggles, Be willing to travel, literally and psychologically, and you may find multiple income streams.
Pisces: You're higher profile than you are comfortable with, but since you've got a fire lit under you, use the energy to move great loads to distant regions and back. You're in motion, probably long distance, so keep learning and teaching, with humor, philosophical breadth of view, and openness to greater truths.

"NOTE: If you were born the 3rd week of your month, you have elements of the sign that follows yours, though the areas Jupiter affects is still accurate for your sign."

Hi Robert,
What is the impact of Jupiter transiting its own house (in the natal chart). E.g., a leo who has natal Jupiter also in the 5th house.
Thanks!
Patricia

Hi Robert,
Thanks for all the great posts! I have a natal T-square (Jupiter in the 10th, Pluto/Uranus, Moon/Saturn squaring it in the 1st and 7th houses). Astrologers always say that to balance a T-square, one must look to the opposite (empty) house and what is happening there...in my case, the 4th...now that Jupiter will be moving in there, what kind of effects can I expect? Will it "balance" out my life in some way? (Pluto has been in there for a while and it's been pretty crazy so that's why I'm asking)
Thank you so much, have a great day Robert!

Hi Robert
Many thanks for your intelligent postings, and so much! I was just wondering how you would interpret Jupiter transiting Neptune - those born when i was (1977) all have Neptune in Sagittarius so would this mean we'd be at risk of expansion of misty dreams? Or does it depend on teh house it's in? My Sag is in the 7th house, so maybe luck in relationships? Also, i'm a bit confused as to the 12th house meaning, which is where my Jupiter in Taurus is. The only interpretation that has been accurate so far is that i need a very quiet place to work and love to spend time in solitude (!) - where's the luck in that?!
Thanks!

Hey Robert,
Like always, i have no idea which house any of my planets...or signs(?) are;) but this article sounds so hopeful, i just can't resist asking u to tell me what's going good or bad for me. I am born on 16th december 1975... being saggitarian is the only thing i know from this and as u must have guessed...my sole reason to feel so hopeful...hee hee...
Nothing seems like it is good right now, which is why am wondering...is it getting better?
Hope u are taking care
love and thanks always

Hi carrie anne - No, I'm referring to those born in the last third of a sign, since Jupiter doesn't get into that section of Sag until next Summer, so what I wrote applies specifically to those born between 1-20 degrees of a sign. Those born in the last decan will still be affected by where Sag and Pisces fall on the cusps, but the house location of Jupiter will be more accurately described by the next sign.
Hi Patricia - It shows that you're having a Jupiter return, which is said to end a 12 year quest and begin a new one. And of course the ruler of your 5th and 8th is in the 5th, which has its own meaning.
Hi Mary - The void point of a T-square shows us the problem and the solution. It shows that you can take the integrative power of the T-square and focus it through the "nozzle" of current events depicted by the transiting Jupiter. The important thing is that it is "lower" (waxing) square to your Virgo, showing a minefield to be navigated carefully. It is "upper" (waning) square to your Moon and Saturn, showing the culmination of that process. And it should show you the good potential of the seeds of what Pluto has brought forth. Jupiter also brings protection and rewards, so hang in there and use it wisely, since it can finally resolve many prior conflicts. And you're welcome, and I will!
Hi Louisa - It could be the chasing of illusions, or dreams come true. The house is the area of life it influences by transit, your inner view the houses it rules. Jup in the 7th could be luck in relationships, also a higher and wider view of relationships, or a truly spiritual relationship, or a relationship with a wastrel. It all depends on your level of evolution, and what you're willing to put up with, or open to attracting. Yes, you need solitude, but it also shows that your rewards always come at the end of a process, never at the beginning or middle. And that you're a gentle protective angel.
Hi anahata - This is the end of a quest that started about 11 years ago for you, and a new one should begin mid-2007, when it goes over your Sun. Saturn trine your Sun this year is stabilizing many things, so you should close out old ideas and feelings that no longer fit your new life already showing itself in seed form, thanks to Pluto. 30 is a vision year, while 31 is a turning point where you must do "right action" to implement the vision. And I am taking care the best I'm able. Thanks.

I wonder how transiting jupiter impacts asteroids? I have Neptune/Ceres/Juno all in Sagittarius[Lilith also] I have been thinking about adopting a baby. I have wanted to adopt a baby since I was a little girl. I made the decision when I was about 9yrs old! My mothering instincts are extremely strong. They seem to be in overdrive now. All I can think about is children, and being a mom!

Hi Nicole - Jupiter expands everything it touches - the trick is not to overdo it, or yield to hesitation, or recklessness. It definitely brings new horizons, new hopes, new willingness to gamble on a dream. Keep it grounded, play it for the long haul, and Jupiter can bring major blessings!
Hi Louisa - Thanks for your kind words. It's something I've been doing a long, long time, and sometimes I think (and feel) that it's been a million years.

Hello,
I came by your place by accident, but than I’m sure nothing is by accident.
Just wondering what the heck is going on with my life. I’ve always tried to do the right thing, but sometimes, like now it seems like it does matter.
All I know is that I am Sag with a Virgo rising 12/11/57 Born about(10:03pm) Southern California
Thanks, C
Posted by: Cindy | March 07, 2007 at 11:00 AM
Hi Cindy - You're on the threshold of a new 12 year adventure. Be patient, make time your ally, since Saturn trine your Sun is stabilizing your life/light, though while conjunct your Moon of course you're doing deep Soul searching and having to a) let go of habits and feelings that have interfered with your higher purpose, b) let go of rules and limitations that have interfered with your ability to take care of your needs, or c) both of the above. Saturn square your Mars is forcing you to deal with restricted energies and confront any lingering anger you have toward whatever. 49 is a point in life when what's been happening since 28 is done. Now you're in a new cycle where if it works, it's true, but if it does not work (whether it has in the past or not) it is no longer true. Welcome to applying your truths with nobility, courage, strength of conviction, loyalty, and love. Anything that isn't worth these coming forth will drop away from your life.

Hello,
My wife went to your site the other day and said how great it was, so I thought I would try it out and see what you had to say about our crazy life right now.
It seems as if things are going crazy for us, we just built a great home last year, where we thought we would live until we retired and now we heard that we may be in the path of a new “Express Way-Freeway” coming our way. My health is a little off also.
Thanks for any insight you can give.

Thanks again, Chuck

Hi Chuck - 50 is a shift in resources, what you value, and how you use what you have. I assume you were born 9 Dec rather than 12 September. If so, you are very protected by Jupiter this year, and should see great progress in your life between now and the end of June. However, long range, Saturn will square your Sun in 2008-2009, so expect higher visibility as well as challenges to use what you have wisely. You're getting a clear vision of your future, and having learned how to be a good custodian of resources in past years, now must widen your view of more inspired futures through deepening and maturing your spiritual view according to your uniquely freedom loving Sun. With a natal Moon in Pisces, don't procrastinate. Saturn square your Venus shows you need mobility and perseverence, one step at a time, and the eclipses of 6 months ago opposed your Jupiter and have begun to free you from "a narrow destiny." Check out what I've written about the eclipses.

Hi Robert & salutations to you for your wonderful site.
Wondered if you could shine a light on current predicament? Pluto transiting 6th house & at tail end of square to natal pluto & been off work entire time with poor health!! You mention endings in April for Saggis, i've final meeting then & if not fit contract ends. It looks likely i won't be recovered enough, tho miracles can & do happen. Can you see any hope of future health/work/new beginnings in '07 given jupiter transiting 6th house too? My rational brain is hanging on to chance i might be stong enough to return, tho my soul wants to believe all will come out well even if lose current position.
love & light

Hi H - Welcome to the site. Pluto in 6th can manifest in 10,000 ways, not necessarily bad health, though of course that's one possible manifestation. Jupiter in the 6th should be opening visions of adjustment toward greater freer futures. And of course, whether you are able to hold on or not depends on whether the old position is part of a "narrow destiny," or whether it's a useful stablizing force while you escape in different realms. And of course, "all will come out well" regardless of how it looks. And I got your email.

Robert, is it your Aquarian nature moon lifts us up and helps to see the future and open our hearts? I am loving my Aries forecast for more travel, more higher learning, .... I am actually learning and ready to meet with new people for business and explore...............Aquarian age begins
Posted by: Larissa | March 22, 2007 at 07:14 PM
Hi Larissa - Well, my Moon in Aquarius has a genuine love for the true, good, and beautiful, and people I've met with that position seem genuinely friendly and willing to help out when and where they can. And I had no doubt your life would change rapidly with the advent of Spring. Glad you're here and made it at least partway through the night. The first glimpses of dawn can be very beautiful.

Hello, i was born in the first week of July. Now I am 37 years male. Please help me with the following
1. I am trying for changing the job. How succesful I will be?
2. I am worried about Jupiter going into Capricorn. How bad it will be? Am I going to lose my job?
3. I am trying for divorce very hard, will I be succesful? if so when?
Thanks a lot

Hi mekalu - Astrology is not fortunetelling. You are in control of the outcome of all of your questions. You must get your mind disciplined, as you tend to get scattered among a thousand needless worries. Very lucky and practical, but also insecure. 37 is the vision year, so learn what you can and be willing to get a larger view of things. Jupiter in Capricorn should be good for you. As for the answers to your questions: 1. As successful as you want to be. 2. As good or bad as you make it. Only if you a) mess up or b) have a dharma different from that job. 3. I never counsel to marry or divorce. I will only give best times to marry, not counsel if you will or won't.

Hi Robert. I'm a Sag with Pisces rising, Cancer moon, and Jupiter in Capricorn (12/20/1972--11:06 am central ) -- I'm definitely feeling the intense effects of Pluto in Sagittarius and at the same time the excitement of Jupiter in Sag. I wonder with my Jupiter in Capricorn, if next year will be lighter with Pluto finally exiting Sag? Any ideas? Thanks!!! D
Posted by: Deborah | June 20, 2007 at 11:34 PM
Hi Deborah - Well, I doubt it will be "lighter" but it will be an expanding universe if you're willing to work hard and persevere step by step. Your feelings will be very expanded, so get a plan allowing you to integrate your sensitivity with your scattered interests. Just remember that Pluto retrogrades back into late Sag and camps out on your Sun for months, so Pluto won't really be off your Sun until December 2008. You're still in the middle of the passage of radical transformation. You'll be living a new set of opportunities this coming November-December that stem from the platform indicated by Jupiter in Sag on your Mercury/Venus/Neptune in early August.
Posted by: Robert | June 21, 2007 at 06:42 AM
Hi Robert,
My Jupiter is in Taurus so it will be a few more years before I experience a Jupiter return, although I wouldn't mind having one now.
I will be having a Mars Return this year when it goes into Gemini, but that has never had a very impact on my life.
Now, what I do have a question about, I have been looking at my Solar Return and Progressed charts and regular transits.
In my chart I have Sat/conj/Moon in Pisces in my 2nd house opposing Pluto/Uranus conjunct in my 8th house, although the opposition is loose and the conjunction with Pluto and Uranus is also loose. I also have Chiron at 18 degrees Pisces in my 2nd house. And most of this is in a T-Cross with Mars in Gem in the 5th house (it's true I don't know how to have fun).
I have had money issues most of my adult life, problems finding work, selling my work, and just plain old roughing it for 20 years.
Now, I noticed that T Uranus has been on my N Chiron probably for some time, but I just noticed and of course Uranus is now RX, could any of this have to do with the breakthrough that you mentioned to me in an earlier private e-mail?
Since Chiron is the wounded healer, and my wounds deal with career, money, and self image, could Uranus shake things up a bit and help me shift this old dynamic? I hope so and I am working at this.
I was also pleased to see that my progressed moon finally left my 8th house. Thank God! It's in Libra now, 9th house. That really was a heavy and gloomy time.
And one other question, during the eclipse that was at 13 degrees Virgo/Pisces in March, the Moon conjuncted my N Pluto. What does that indicate?
I am thinking it has something to do with all the transformation of beliefs and my lifestyle that is presently ocurring at such a fast rate. It's frightening sometimes.
The same thing happened to my sister last year. Maybe she and I should compare notes.
And someone I know has T Pluto on his MC and squaring his AC. Does this also indicate transformation of lifestyle and personal beliefs?
peace,
Patricia

OOPS!
I see that there are two Patricia on this site. Sorry about thinking that the Jupiter routine had to do with me...
How embarrassing. Well, there is another example of Mercury RX.
Patricia H.
Posted by: Patricia H. | June 21, 2007 at 05:49 PM
Hi Patricia - I suspect the coming Mars return will be interesting, since you'll get the RX with it. Ordinarily Uranus shows larger tides, while the visible planets trigger individual shifts. Uranus on your Chiron shows you can heal what you need, but only through radical individualization and taking an unusual view of what is possible. Uranus "frees your mind," but it is still up to us to use that mind productively. Yes, it could shift old dynamics. That eclipse Moon puts the focus on your Pluto, showing you will sprout seeds, purify, and transform according to how you respond to the Plutonic impulse. As for Pluto on the MC, it's more transformation of his public self through some extreme events. T Pluto represents "forces beyond our control," not personal in any way, though these can affect us profoundly.
Hi Patricia H. - Yes, now you see one of the problems of comment streams, since if we don't have discreet descriptors of who were are, it opens the door to wondering just who is asking what and what exactly am I responding to. At least these are harmless jumbles and not life altering events!
Posted by: Robert | June 22, 2007 at 06:52 AM
Hi Robert,
Thanks for the analysis on Uranus, Pluto, etc...
I have been playing with my Solar Return and Progress charts and finding all kinds of interesting information, some of events that have happened in retrospect, such as the Libra Progressed Moon in the 9th house.
I did go back to school and going back to school has changed my idealogies and philosophies in ways I would have never imagined. And it was a professor from a foriegn country which had the biggest impact on me. And I felt so impassioned in her class, I cannot even tell you. The topic of the class was very moon/Cancerian too.
And with Uranus on my Chiron, I am seeking unusual ways to make a living without having to succumb to the workaholic society in which we live. I am grappling with the whole idea of paying attention to details while multitasking and working 40+ hours while still trying to maintain some kind of quality of life...Whew!
It's insane, no?
peace,
Patricia H.

Hi Patricia H. - Yes, it's fairly intense right now. I'm already overloaded with work, writing, commenting, and answering emails. I barely have time for my cat or even taking long walks so I figure it's about time for a change. I just have to plan it so it's a smooth transition.
Posted by: Robert | June 22, 2007 at 08:53 AM
Hi Robert,
Sometimes working for oneself is more stressful than working for a boss.
Right now I am in the process of freelancing and seeking permanent work. Both things stressful during a Mercury RX with phone calls not being returned, e-mail getting lost, you know that fun stuff.
Let's hope we both have smooth transitions.
And to all the readers of this site, is anyone else feeling as restless as a Mexican jumping bean?
Must be summer fever or Mercury RX and Uranus RX?
Aye!
paz,
Patricia
Posted by: Patricia H. | June 22, 2007 at 11:55 AM
Hi Patricia H. - Working for oneself has its advantages and drawbacks. If you don't work you don't get paid, but on the other hand you are free to do what you need to do when you can do it. Uranus stationary retrograde is electrifying the atmosphere, so yes, many I know are very restless at present.

Thanks, Robert, Yes, the "scattered interests" sounds right -- I have various sources of income, and am good at what I do, but my main passion, music has yet to develop into an income generator, though this would be ideal for me and is what I'm working hard to focus on and nurture. Peace and blessings, Deborah
