2007 - The Inner Planets and North and South Nodes - Endings, Beginnings, and They're All Retrograde At Some Point This Year
by Robert Wilkinson
This is part two of the article offered yesterday. Please read that one first to get a sense of how these two mesh together in a comprehensive overview of what we all can expect to experience in 2007. The coming year opens amazing adventures, but also extreme challenges and highly disruptive energies that can spin out of control on a moment's notice. Today we look at the activity of the inner planets, with some links at the end to previous articles about Pluto and other planets conjunct the Galactic Center, the 21st Century, and the coming Age of Aquarius.
In 2007 Mars moves from mid-Sagittarius through mid-Cancer, going retrograde in mid-November 2007 at 13 Cancer, very close to the star Sirius, said to be the "Sun of our Sun," and source of the Ageless Wisdom on Earth underlying all local religious and spiritual traditions. It conjuncts Pluto the second week of January 2007 at 28 Sagittarius, ending the old Mars-Pluto cycle that began late January 2005 at 24 Sagittarius. Of course, this triggers The Grand Irrationality.
Mars then conjuncts Neptune at 22 Aquarius in late March 2007, again setting the Grand Irrationality into motion just after its opposition to Saturn, ending the cycle that began at 18 Aquarius in April 2005. We finish the trifecta of Transpersonal planet conjunctions when Mars conjuncts Uranus at 18 Pisces in late April 2007, finishing the cycle it began in May 2005 at 11 Pisces. These all end major cycles of how the transpersonal forces are manifesting in our lives, and begin new ones that will influence any planet aspected by these for the next two years.
Thus the first few months of 2007 are about closures and openings, with a lot quickening around the time Mars conjuncts Uranus and squares Jupiter and then Pluto beginning late April. Mars enters Aries mid-May, triggers the Grand Irrationality in late May, and makes a Grand Fire trine for most of June, activating whatever is set into motion by the Venus-Sun-Mercury Grand Fire trines of March and April.
Mercury is retrograde three times in 2007. The first time it goes retrograde at 11 Pisces on February 14, and retrogrades back to 26 Aquarius, going direct March 8. The second time it goes retrograde at 12 Cancer on June 15, and retrogrades back to 3 Cancer, going direct on July 10. The third time it goes retrograde at 10 Scorpio on October 12, and retrogrades back to 24 Libra, going direct on November 2.
The second retrograde is especially significant, since Mercury will go stationary retrograde very close to the future Mars retrograde station at 13 Cancer. We should get information, ideas, signals and signs of what is to come later in the year during the Summer Mercury retrograde, so take careful note of what you learn during June and July 2007.
Mars enters Taurus in late June and stays there until early August when it enters Gemini. This period is significant since Venus goes retrograde on July 27 at 3 degrees of Virgo, promising lots of helpful and protective angel activity, as well as "Divine help when human efforts fail" and a guarantee of the supply of what we need. Venus will retrograde back into Leo, going stationary direct on September 8 at 17 degrees of Leo, a degree of rebirth.
Mars occupies the Gemini span of the Grand Irrationality the second week of August. Just after that, Mars in mid-to-late Gemini will help everyone make progress despite the oppositions and polarization, since Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Neptune form a Rectangle, a very favorable configuration. Mercury in Libra brings in its own element, resulting in 5 points of a 6 pointed Star being activated, with only Aries not filled in. This means wherever we have Fire and Air planets and houses in our charts will be extremely harmoniously charged up at that time.
Mars enters Cancer in late September where it makes favorable aspects to all the outer planets except for some momentary sesquisquares. In fact, from September 2007 through March 2008 it makes sextiles and quintiles to Saturn, promising very good energies for planning and executing big projects favorably. Just pay close attention to problems in September 2007, since the Mars opposition Pluto late that month augurs what is to come during the retrograde opposition to Pluto occurring January 2008 and the final direct opposition from the extremely critical axis of 1 degree Cancer to Pluto at 1 degree Capricorn in early March 2008.
On a final note, the North Node of the Moon starts the year at 19 Pisces, and retrogrades back to 30 Aquarius by December 31, 2007. Thus Uranus will be conjunct the North Node for the first half of the year while Saturn will begin to conjunct the South Node in Virgo beginning September 2007. We build through the revolutionary Uranus expressed as compassion, inclusiveness, and forgiveness while ending old karmas the first half of the year, then begin to demonstrate the practical disciplines and lessons of Saturn in Virgo in Autumn.
Thus there's a lot to learn the first half of the year and a lot to demonstrate and/or let go of the last third of the year. Couple this with the reality that the shift of the Great Age from Pisces into Aquarius is upon us the next few decades, and we can catch glimpses of that shift in December when the North Node is exactly on the Precessional Point. Add the fact that Pluto is conjunct the Galactic Center, and things should be considerably heated up by the end of 2007 in terms of humanity getting in tune with the larger reality of the planet, the Solar system, and the Galactic process.

Hi Robert...i am fascinated by the galactic centre and what it means in my chart...how do I find out...born april 8, 1960 at 5.47pm australia??? I believe black holes are doorways to other dimensions that i want to go to...thanks jeanette

Hi jeanette - The GC is at late Sag. As I posted before in other articles, I don't really think the GC operates on a personal level, since it's galactic. We can orient ourselves in that direction, but we are still bound by our Solar systemic view for as long as we're here.
As for other dimensions, I believe we have a lot of work to do here on behalf of suffering humanity and the creatures of this beautiful Earth before any of us get to go much of anywhere, at least the lightworkers among us. The barbarians are hopefully on their collective way to another evolutionary system in the relatively near future, if we are to believe the way the larger cycles of planetary change work.

I thought it interesting to note that the sabian symbol of the Mars conjunction to Uranus at 17- 18 Pisces in late April 2007 is:
'In A Gigantic Tent, Villagers Witness A Spectacular Performance'

Hi Pamela - That will set a two year cycle of revolution into motion that will probably bring new performers to stardom, as well as helping some revise their ideas back to source, opening up a new environment.

Hello Robert -
I just browsed into your site and am tickled by the wealth of information and clear cut explanations. You're brilliant!
I'm a first week Aquarius, 1959 - as your predictions begin to ring true and my outlook/values/understandings of money undergo the promised shift, I'll look to you for a personal reading.
All best in heaven on earth -
Jean
