The Solar Return is the moment each year when the Sun returns to its natal place. It can happen the day before our birthday, on our birthday, or even the day after. It is a chart done for wherever we are that marks the moment when the Sun is exactly the same degree, minute, and second of the sign it was in when we were born, and offers a snapshot of what we can expect in our year to come. Today's article was written a while ago, but is still relevant to everyone, since we all have a Solar Return near our birthday. Last year I had an eclipse very near my Sun, which I address in the article. So for your consideration and perusal, The Solar Return.
This week continues the incredible string of Grand Fire Trines I've been discussing, with the Sun entering the configuration, vitalizing, illuminating, and harmonizing at least half of our reality. This is quickening things for the better, though it may seem very strange at times due to the Sun also being in the Aries zone of The Grand Irrationality, showing major forks in the road for all.
I just found this article in my archives, and thought it might be of interest, since there was so much generated by the recent Eclipses. If you want to know more about the Lunar Nodes, here's The North Node and South Node - What Do They Mean In A Chart?
Astrology helps us know the timing on events and reasons why things happen when they do. However, it is important to investigate the nature of our reality from other angles of observation to find what energy tools we have to master in order to deal with our experiences effectively. This includes how these are most naturally applied, and how to confirm our progress or note when we need a change in tools or methods. To that end, today we take a look at what are called the 7 Rays.
April accents the Fire sign Aries, where we leap into a new Solar year with all the strength and speed that this highly active sign symbolizes. Being the first sign of the zodiac, it is time to focus our vitality and brightness by taking up new projects, relationships, initiatives, and boldly act upon our most urgent imperatives. This is the time to take advantage of momentum to embrace new ways quickly with radical self-sufficiency, bringing forth new seeds from the harvest of the past 12 months. We now can learn to act autonomously with power and determination in highly effective ways. The Sun in Aries shines the light of wisdom on the principle of “economy of energy” in the various departments of our life and affairs.
Having seen “The Colbert Report” where Steven the chameleon did an amazing thing with my old acquaintance Willie Nelson and Richard Holbrook, former UN ambassador and major league political heavyweight, I am again reminded of Saint Willie’s ability to bridge the nations.
A short note to observe the Vernal (Spring) Equinox, when days and nights are of equal length and the solar force is waxing stronger through the Autumnal Equinox in September. The Sun is now in Aries, a sign I am quite familiar with! I'll post more soon, but for now look at what has ended, what is emerging, and step out of the ocean on to dry land. Thanks to the Grand Fire Trines, adventures are coming for all who are open. Just keep dreaming the great dream, since every day is good for imaging a better future. Aum Namah Shivaya!
The Sun has now entered the final degree of the 360 steps of transformation, the last degree of Pisces. This is the Omega point, the space of the end of the end of the old year and the beginning of the new, as symbolized by the first degree of Aries, the Vernal point of entry into Spring and our time of fertility and work toward whatever harvest the coming seasons will yield. Now is the time to be as clear as possible about the form of what you would see made manifest in the future, since 30 Pisces is said to be a degree of "Archetypalization."
Pluto is the ultimate purifier. It's an intense, "waaaay out there" type of energy, utterly non-negotiable, and strips things of any impure matter attached to whatever it touches. Though occasionally fearsome in its effects, it also helps us do a "spiritual spring cleaning" on parts of our lives, so that we can quickly dump the psychic and physical clutter and move forward unencumbered by obsolete life attachments. The recent Pisces Solar Eclipse was almost exactly square Pluto, promising major developments. But it didn't start there.
Today, hundreds of thousands around the world rallied against the war in Iraq. In the spirit of the day, I'll offer you one of the most powerful songs ever created, "War," by Edwin Starr. These lyrics say it all. Both videos are very strong performances, and riveting in their own ways.
This an effort to address some of what many asked in various comment streams, so I decided to do this third article on the Lunar Nodes and how they work. Today we’ll explore some possible ways it works while transiting our chart.
As readers of this column know, honoring the dead is a pretty big deal with me. Well thank Spirit MSM (mainstream media) has decided to promote what sounds like a worthy effort by young ones of conscience to honor those who are dying despite White House policy preventing us from seeing grim images of war dead due to media blackouts on such things. This movie is yet another effort by those of us who witness and honor Souls who have passed on.
