Astrology for All - The Importance of the Solar Return and why we celebrate our Birthday

The Solar Return is the moment each year when the Sun returns to its natal place. It can happen the day before our birthday, on our birthday, or even the day after. It is a chart done for wherever we are that marks the moment when the Sun is exactly the same degree, minute, and second of the sign it was in when we were born, and offers a snapshot of what we can expect in our year to come. Today's article was written a while ago, but is still relevant to everyone, since we all have a Solar Return near our birthday. This week continues the incredible string of Grand Fire Trines I've been discussing, with the Sun entering the configuration, vitalizing, illuminating, and harmonizing at least half of our reality. This is quickening things for the better, though it may seem very strange at times due to the Sun also being in the Aries zone of The Grand Irrationality, showing major forks in the road for all.

Happy Equinox - Spring is Here

A short note to observe the Vernal (Spring) Equinox, when days and nights are of equal length and the solar force is waxing stronger through the Autumnal Equinox in September. The Sun is now in Aries, a sign I am quite familiar with! I'll post more soon, but for now look at what has ended, what is emerging, and step out of the ocean on to dry land. The Sun has now entered the final degree of the 360 steps of transformation, the last degree of Pisces. This is the Omega point, the space of the end of the end of the old year and the beginning of the new, as symbolized by the first degree of Aries, the Vernal point of entry into Spring and our time of fertility and work toward whatever harvest the coming seasons will yield. Now is the time to be as clear as possible about the form of what you would see made manifest in the future, since 30 Pisces is said to be a degree of "Archetypalization."

Pluto is the ultimate purifier. It's an intense, "waaaay out there" type of energy, utterly non-negotiable, and strips things of any impure matter attached to whatever it touches. Though occasionally fearsome in its effects, it also helps us do a "spiritual spring cleaning" on parts of our lives, so that we can quickly dump the psychic and physical clutter and move forward unencumbered by obsolete life attachments. The recent Pisces Solar Eclipse was almost exactly square Pluto, promising major developments. But it didn't start there.
