This week continues the incredible string of Grand Fire Trines I've been discussing, with the Sun entering the configuration, vitalizing, illuminating, and harmonizing at least half of our reality. This is quickening things for the better, though it may seem very strange at times due to the Sun also being in the Aries zone of The Grand Irrationality, showing major forks in the road for all.

I just found this article in my archives, and thought it might be of interest, since there was so much generated by the recent Eclipses. If you want to know more about the Lunar Nodes, here's The North Node and South Node - What Do They Mean In A Chart?

Mars triggers whatever happens of note in our charts. In April 2007, Mars moves from 26 degrees of Aquarius to 19 Pisces, with two Grand Fire Trines supported by major Air trines followed by volatility toward the end of the month as Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus make a Mutable T-square, as well as a Grand Cross on April 27-28. The first week of April Mars crosses the Transfiguration span made active by the recent Aquarian New Moon, so this will set those promises into active motion, or quicken them if they've already begun in your life.

Astrology helps us know the timing on events and reasons why things happen when they do. However, it is important to investigate the nature of our reality from other angles of observation to find what energy tools we have to master in order to deal with our experiences effectively. This includes how these are most naturally applied, and how to confirm our progress or note when we need a change in tools or methods. To that end, today we take a look at what are called the 7 Rays.

April accents the Fire sign Aries, where we leap into a new Solar year with all the strength and speed that this highly active sign symbolizes. Being the first sign of the zodiac, it is time to focus our vitality and brightness by taking up new projects, relationships, initiatives, and boldly act upon our most urgent imperatives. This is the time to take advantage of momentum to embrace new ways quickly with radical self-sufficiency, bringing forth new seeds from the harvest of the past 12 months. We now can learn to act autonomously with power and determination in highly effective ways. The Sun in Aries shines the light of wisdom on the principle of “economy of energy” in the various departments of our life and affairs.

This week is stacked and packed! If you think the awakened feelings of Sun moving into Aries last week was something, get ready to break on through to the other side this week as the Grand Fire Trine gets closer, quickening everything. Pluto stationary shows major sea changes in the lives of individuals and nations as it marks a threshold point in our on-going collective Self-transformation. Now we can break free of heavy feelings related to others past and present, and find gentle enjoyable ways of relating as individuals to others as Mercury and Venus show the way to glimpse our uniqueness and genius.

Having seen “The Colbert Report” where Steven the chameleon did an amazing thing with my old acquaintance Willie Nelson and Richard Holbrook, former UN ambassador and major league political heavyweight, I am again reminded of Saint Willie’s ability to bridge the nations.

The Sun has now entered the final degree of the 360 steps of transformation, the last degree of Pisces. This is the Omega point, the space of the end of the end of the old year and the beginning of the new, as symbolized by the first degree of Aries, the Vernal point of entry into Spring and our time of fertility and work toward whatever harvest the coming seasons will yield. Now is the time to be as clear as possible about the form of what you would see made manifest in the future, since 30 Pisces is said to be a degree of "Archetypalization."

Pluto is the ultimate purifier. It's an intense, "waaaay out there" type of energy, utterly non-negotiable, and strips things of any impure matter attached to whatever it touches. Though occasionally fearsome in its effects, it also helps us do a "spiritual spring cleaning" on parts of our lives, so that we can quickly dump the psychic and physical clutter and move forward unencumbered by obsolete life attachments. The recent Pisces Solar Eclipse was almost exactly square Pluto, promising major developments. But it didn't start there.

Today, hundreds of thousands around the world rallied against the war in Iraq. In the spirit of the day, I'll offer you one of the most powerful songs ever created, "War," by Edwin Starr. These lyrics say it all. Both videos are very strong performances, and riveting in their own ways.

This is the first week after the Pisces Solar Eclipse which will fragment many things while showing us a whole picture in glimpses of things to come. As I noted, I believe this Eclipse will ultimately prove very favorable to bring forth new energies we can use to good advantage. We still have very favorable aspects between Mercury and Jupiter, as well as Venus and Mars, helping us all resolve any difficulties in areas ruled by these planets as well as where they fall in our chart.

This an effort to address some of what many asked in various comment streams, so I decided to do this third article on the Lunar Nodes and how they work. Today we’ll explore some possible ways it works while transiting our chart.

As readers of this column know, honoring the dead is a pretty big deal with me. Well thank Spirit MSM (mainstream media) has decided to promote what sounds like a worthy effort by young ones of conscience to honor those who are dying despite White House policy preventing us from seeing grim images of war dead due to media blackouts on such things. This movie is yet another effort by those of us who witness and honor Souls who have passed on.

Following up on yesterday's article on what the North and South Node of the Moon really are, and how they manifest, today we examine ways to apply their energies in our charts. While not listing all possible combinations, by applying the examples offered here you can change the keywords for the signs and houses appropriate to your chart and come to a whole new approach to these very important significators of growth, change, and release in our chart.

This is a new look at an important factor in Astrology, currently stronger since we are in between two potentially favorable Eclipses. Eclipses are Lunations (New and Full Moons) that fall conjunct the Moon's Nodal axis as shown by the North Node and South Node. So just what are these things we call the North and South Node of the Moon, and why is their influence so powerful?

Since so many have inquired how the coming Solar Eclipse in Pisces will affect them personally, I thought it good to offer you this brief glimpse of how it will affect each individual sign. I cannot answer every inquiry about how it will affect each of us in the comment stream, since there are too many variables depending on our individual birth chart. Still, there are things that can be known by seeing how this Eclipse falls relative to the Sun and Ascendant.

This week is mostly the “old Moon,” or last quarter where we should be finishing things up, reaping the harvest of whatever the last Aquarius New Moon transfiguration energies set into motion that were pushed to the forefront by the recent Lunar Eclipse in Virgo-Pisces. We’re now sandwiched between two eclipses, yet with so many favorable aspects between so many sign rulers, it should overall be productive of good.

I'll post on the coming week soon, but first a brief note on something many are experiencing. This time is one of a "floating" sensation, appropriate since the Sun is in Pisces. The edge is due to the recent conjunction with Uranus, which has a greater intensity due to the recent Lunar Eclipse. This lunation is challenging the Virgo forms and structures in our lives while shining the light on the floating, vast universal oceanic feelings associated with Pisces. Remember that "will power" is everything, and must be focused to serve a greater good or purpose despite the generalized weirdness. Get clear about what motivates you in any given direction, and get ready to set sail on a Fiery adventure when Pisces gives way to the Grand Fire Trines of Aries.

The Solar Eclipse occurs at 29 degrees of Pisces on March 18 at 7:43 pm PDT, just before the Vernal Equinox March 20 at 5:08 pm PDT. This Solar Eclipse will bring many things to completion, and the seed essence of whatever progress we've been making will be stripped of old forms so newer, more appropriate means of expressing our Light can come forth. Eclipses affect everyone, including nations, for a long time after they occur, and take things away that are no longer a part of our future; they obscure the Greater Lights so lesser ones can be seen which will become Greater Lights in their time. This Solar Eclipse at the end of Pisces will be the next larger step in time to free us from "a narrow destiny" promised by last September's Virgo Eclipses.

We're now in the heart of a time of no planets in Earth signs, showing a general ungroundedness. After Mars left Capricorn at the end of February, we entered a three week zone all the planets in Fire and Air signs except for Sun and Uranus in Watery Pisces. I explained why this is important in Fire, Earth, Air and Water Element Balance in January, February, and March 2007 Affecting All Signs. Especially with the recent Lunar Eclipse having the Moon in Earthy Virgo, it implies that is the sole energy bringing forth practicality at present, except for what we can draw on within ourselves. Take a new look at the article, since it offers hints how best to respond to this very "immaterial" time.

One of the blessings to Astrology is that it helps us plan in advance for conditions that are only in seed form on our horizon. Often by knowing the phases and stages of the evolution of a thing, a project, a corporation, a relationship or whatever, we can see which way the wind is blowing and plan accordingly. The points of shift can be seen by the aspects, which are the angular relationships between the planets. Over time these show beginnings, points of challenge, perhaps crisis, and always correction, if we know what is to come and plan accordingly. This is the challenge to "think in the future," which ensures our basic survival amidst the eternal changes in our world.

March accents the water sign Pisces, where we take a long look back and harvest, materially and psychologically, the fruits of our last year’s labor. We now can deeply feel the wider view of a greater good for all and a more ideal way to live, individually and collectively. It is the sector of our reality where we are required to find the light and power of a broader, more impersonal motive and a deeper compassion for our common humanity. It’s the end of Winter and the beginning of Spring, which kicks off at the Vernal Equinox on March 20, 2007, at 5:08 pm PDT.

This week Mercury goes direct, speeding up while showing us how we've prepared to "pick up and deliver spiritual power" over the next few months. We're still harvesting the results of the Aquarius New Moon transfiguration energies and will continue to see dramatic shifts with Mercury crossing over that span between now and the Solar Eclipse on March 19, 7:43 pm PDT at 29 Pisces, guaranteeing a separation of the new life energies from old forms. Trust is a big theme of the last New Moon. With Venus making the first in a long series of Grand Fire Trines this week, allow the electricity of the new to permeate your nature, since it marks a harmonizing of various elements of our life, inner and outer.

Mars triggers whatever happens of note in our charts. In March 2007, Mars moves from 3 degrees of Aquarius to 26 Aquarius, with many unique and specialized interactions and initiatives due to Venus in Aries in the Grand Fire Trine quintile Mars in Aquarius. This month Mars points out the way for us to make greater contributions to our lives and our world, and by mid-month shows us through "right action" how to manage our affairs more effectively to achieve our ideals. It's also a critical emergent point when it conjuncts Neptune and septiles Pluto, beginning a new 2 year Neptune cycle and triggering the waxing septile of The Grand Irrationality. March 22-23 and 26-27 will be especially important, since the Moon fills in a 3rd point in the 7 pointed Star.

Today through the Moon conjunct Saturn we experience the first BIG concentration of Grand Fire Trine energies involving planets moving through Aries making trines to Jupiter in Sagittarius and Saturn in Leo. This long term Fiery energy harmony will be a brightening influence for us all in the house life areas they influence. We should increasingly be able to utilize the heart strengths we've cultivated through the Jupiter trine Saturn up to now, turning to new ways of doing our Being with inspiration, clarity, warmth, and initiative if we open to these, however they may manifest. With Venus making the first set of trines, it should show as new relationships and new ways of relating to others.
