This an effort to address some of what many asked in various comment streams, so I decided to do this third article on the Lunar Nodes and how they work. Today we’ll explore some possible ways it works while transiting our chart.

As readers of this column know, honoring the dead is a pretty big deal with me. Well thank Spirit MSM (mainstream media) has decided to promote what sounds like a worthy effort by young ones of conscience to honor those who are dying despite White House policy preventing us from seeing grim images of war dead due to media blackouts on such things. This movie is yet another effort by those of us who witness and honor Souls who have passed on.

Following up on yesterday's article on what the North and South Node of the Moon really are, and how they manifest, today we examine ways to apply their energies in our charts. While not listing all possible combinations, by applying the examples offered here you can change the keywords for the signs and houses appropriate to your chart and come to a whole new approach to these very important significators of growth, change, and release in our chart.

This is a new look at an important factor in Astrology, currently stronger since we are in between two potentially favorable Eclipses. Eclipses are Lunations (New and Full Moons) that fall conjunct the Moon's Nodal axis as shown by the North Node and South Node. So just what are these things we call the North and South Node of the Moon, and why is their influence so powerful?

Since so many have inquired how the coming Solar Eclipse in Pisces will affect them personally, I thought it good to offer you this brief glimpse of how it will affect each individual sign. I cannot answer every inquiry about how it will affect each of us in the comment stream, since there are too many variables depending on our individual birth chart. Still, there are things that can be known by seeing how this Eclipse falls relative to the Sun and Ascendant.

I'll post on the coming week soon, but first a brief note on something many are experiencing. This time is one of a "floating" sensation, appropriate since the Sun is in Pisces. The edge is due to the recent conjunction with Uranus, which has a greater intensity due to the recent Lunar Eclipse. This lunation is challenging the Virgo forms and structures in our lives while shining the light on the floating, vast universal oceanic feelings associated with Pisces. Remember that "will power" is everything, and must be focused to serve a greater good or purpose despite the generalized weirdness. Get clear about what motivates you in any given direction, and get ready to set sail on a Fiery adventure when Pisces gives way to the Grand Fire Trines of Aries.

The Solar Eclipse occurs at 29 degrees of Pisces on March 18 at 7:43 pm PDT, just before the Vernal Equinox March 20 at 5:08 pm PDT. This Solar Eclipse will bring many things to completion, and the seed essence of whatever progress we've been making will be stripped of old forms so newer, more appropriate means of expressing our Light can come forth. Eclipses affect everyone, including nations, for a long time after they occur, and take things away that are no longer a part of our future; they obscure the Greater Lights so lesser ones can be seen which will become Greater Lights in their time. This Solar Eclipse at the end of Pisces will be the next larger step in time to free us from "a narrow destiny" promised by last September's Virgo Eclipses.

We're now in the heart of a time of no planets in Earth signs, showing a general ungroundedness. After Mars left Capricorn at the end of February, we entered a three week zone all the planets in Fire and Air signs except for Sun and Uranus in Watery Pisces. I explained why this is important in Fire, Earth, Air and Water Element Balance in January, February, and March 2007 Affecting All Signs. Especially with the recent Lunar Eclipse having the Moon in Earthy Virgo, it implies that is the sole energy bringing forth practicality at present, except for what we can draw on within ourselves. Take a new look at the article, since it offers hints how best to respond to this very "immaterial" time.

One of the blessings to Astrology is that it helps us plan in advance for conditions that are only in seed form on our horizon. Often by knowing the phases and stages of the evolution of a thing, a project, a corporation, a relationship or whatever, we can see which way the wind is blowing and plan accordingly. The points of shift can be seen by the aspects, which are the angular relationships between the planets. Over time these show beginnings, points of challenge, perhaps crisis, and always correction, if we know what is to come and plan accordingly. This is the challenge to "think in the future," which ensures our basic survival amidst the eternal changes in our world.
