In light of the Mutable T-squares and Grand Mutable Cross we're looking at now through early May, here is an article focusing on helpful ways to greet the changes coming to us all in the very near future. To that end, please take a new look at Life Is A Rhythmic Dance." We confront many shifting energies these next few days, where things may fracture but also come together in unique ways, depending on how we've handled our Aquarius and Pisces lessons in February, March, and April. Try not to get bugged by the changes, and enjoy the article!

Hi Robert -- I am trying to learn more about reading birth charts and I was wondering if you could answer this question for me. I read that the 5th and 7th houses were responsible for love/romance, but I have no planets in either of them! I know this is a funny question, but could that be why I basically have no love life or luck in love? (I'm serious!). Or do the planets currently transiting those houses determine the trends? (maybe it doesn't matter that I have no planets in those houses at time of birth?
hmmm....(i'm new at this.) :)
Sarah.

Hi Sarah - The lack of planets in a house merely shows those parts of you are occupied elsewhere, not that there's zero activity necessarily. The 5th is play, as well as love affairs; the 7th is partnership, your ability to be an equal with others. If there's no planet in a house, we look to the sign on the cusp and its ruler for information about how you approach those life affairs.
Progressed and transiting planets do show activity in the houses they occupy, the former more an internal progressed sense of self, the latter more the on-going conditions. So while it both does and does not matter that you have empty houses, so do we all somewhere in our maps. My 6th house is empty, but it doesn't mean I have no health or work. My 12th house is empty, but it doesn't mean I have no karma. These examples merely show that these areas of my life are governed by forces outside of those areas.

Hi Robert. My b day just passed on the 20th and I was wondering if you could tell me anything good for my solar return? I know that my ascendant is capricorn which is my natal descendant. My bithday is april 20 1984 at 1028 am in pine bluff arkansas. I have been trying to find where i need to be this year as far as putting down roots. I am expecting a baby in august so do you think the stars are aligned for me to go basck to school? I really need to settle into the place i need to be. Anything to tell me about my solar return?

Hi Gayle - Well, commenting on a Solar Return really cannot be done in a comment stream, since it involves complicated analysis. I can say that you're learning how to externalize your energy in healthy ways since last November, and by September will be grounded in practical ways that should ensure your future well being. As for expecting in August and going back to school, that seems like a BIG load, (since newborns are a handful to begin with!) but if you have a good support system, you may be able to start in January 2008. Your Solar Return day was very fortunate, given the Mercury Grand Fire Trine with strong supporting Air planets. You'll have to be a good juggler this year, it is good for learning, both formal and informal, though there will be changes in who you want to hang out with due to the Venus square Mars in the SR chart. Take care of details, try not to worry over tiny things, and get a plan you can live with. 23 is a vision year, so open your imagination and learn as much as you can.

Lots of turbulance... good one too

Hi Larissa - Glad you checked in. Yes, swirling life is truly in motion, and despite the fracturing, it will all be recombined in fine style. I'm juggling as fast as I can. Hang in there. Saturn's finishing things up preparing us Leo risings for a whole new life this Autumn once Mars activates in late May and June.

Hi Robert: yes, I have to say - I don't know what it is, but motion motion motion, tension even. Not stressful tension, but intense, very intense. I feel like I don't have time and my mind has so much in it, spins so fast, I am laughing at myself recently; so my old work started to seem unimportant, yet I want to keep it still in place. But I can't stop, I feel like I started this and it is set in this unstoppable spinning. I didn't feel like this for a long time. But action doesn't upsets or overwhelms me, but slightly I wish that the day is longer and I have more time to speak to people or even answer calls. Excitement is good though, I smile a lot and expect a lot too. Soon. I hope all is well with you. Is Mars in Aries now or is it going to be in May?

Robert -- I am running a new project. My boss is upset, brewing, stressed, thinking I will leave him. I told him that if he lets me run this business, I won't leave him, yet, he is tense.(Gemini boss):-) I feel like time needs to stretch in both ends and the space needs to expand in order to embrace all the action around... But yet, it feels like a piramid, all events on top of each other. I'd rather sort them out, but not yet, I guess.

Hi Larissa - It is a fairly intense time, with Jupiter square Uranus triggered by Venus and Mars! I also am juggling as fast as I can, as much is in motion and I do not have time to do everything according to my previous conceptions of time. Of course, keeping one's humor and equilibrium are a good thing when so much is evolving quickly.
Mars is still in Pisces conjunct Uranus. It will enter Aries in mid-May, jumpstarting many new initiatives after it's square to Pluto. Till then, just keep ordering according to relative importance, sequence things precisely, and stick to what works for as long as this Mutable square-opposition configuration lasts.

Thank you, Robert. You cleared my mind. I feel more prepared and will put things in order before a jumpstart.
