Astrology Now in April-May-June 2007 - Jupiter square Uranus, Saturn opposition Neptune

Today we look at why many are still dealing with large challenges despite the positive indicators of the Grand Fire Trines. Yes, it's due to the planets named in the title. These are major forces not to be ignored, since they persistently affect everyone in powerful ways. I've received many emails that things are very weird for a lot of people, with frustration due to a lack of clarity in some life areas and harsh, jarring realities in others. We'll be dealing with these for months to come, especially the Jupiter square Uranus, even as Saturn opposition Neptune will grow stronger through the end of June.

There is a harsh edge to our present reality, nurtured by many "real world" vectors even as we collectively careen down the razor's edge of the Grand Irrationality. Every time other interpersonal and transpersonal planets collide, we find ourselves in the middle of a great devastation that liberates us all from old perspectives. Much is evolving at a pace beyond anything we've known before now, both in our lives and genetically. The world as it's unfolding is as different from the world of our grandparents as we are from the ancient hunter-gatherers.

I have outlined many of the effects and solutions to this generic challenging energy in my weekly forecasts. Please re-read the most recent one to get a sense of the many factors at play right now.

The erratic qualities of this time are due to the Jupiter-Uranus square that most stresses out planets we have around 16 to 21 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces. This obviously affects everyone born in the mid-60s, since that was the time when Uranus and Pluto were in that span in Virgo and Saturn was in Pisces. Also 1957-58 (Saturn in Sag), 1972-73 (Saturn in Gemini), 1977-79 (Saturn in Virgo, Neptune in Sag), and 1987 (Saturn in Sag). People born during these times (as well as others involving these degrees) should be mindful that things can spin our of control into strange directions fairly easily and quickly.

If someone is about to explode or otherwise uncork, for good or ill, these degrees will most certainly be involved. Those with planets in this span must not allow pressure to explode sideways into self-defeating attitudes and behaviors, or try to run away from a higher law asserting itself. It is a very eccentric dynamic, and can create wreckage through thoughtlessness, a desire to "break free" into nowhere special, or erratic responses to opportunities that aren't unfolding "fast enough."

When you most want to break away from something or someone, or have an overwhelming urge to "push the river," take a breath, get oriented, and wait for opportunities to get your drive in gear rather than erratically bounce between feelings and the need to move, whether it's in the direction you want or not.

Then there's the Saturn opposition Neptune, a fog of restrained soup that seems to have frustrated our ability to achieve our ideal in any timely fashion. This is the tug of war between the reality and the ideal, and why there's so much push-pull in situations, or that bogged-down sensation where it's tough to get a grip on anything that allows freedom of movement. This has helped us narrow our focus to get a better sense of the whole of our affairs, and shown us how strong our heart is, both physical and metaphoric.

As noted in the weekly columns, this is most pressuring planets we have around 19 to 23 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius. This primarily affects people born in the early 50's, since our Pluto is in that zone. Others affected are those born 1955 (Saturn in Scorpio), 1959-61 (Uranus in Leo), 1963 (Saturn in Aquarius), 1965-66 (Neptune in Scorpio), 1970-71 (Saturn in Taurus), 1977-78 (Saturn in Leo), 1984-85 (Saturn in Scorpio), and 1991-93 (Pluto in Scorpio, Saturn in Aquarius).

Of course, any other planets we have in these "hot zones" are bringing pressure on those parts of our lives to make choices and changes. For some, a liberation from oppressive conditions due to clarity, or abrupt opportunities to move in completely different directions than whatever has been the course in the past. You may expect these to grow stronger, since they are now both forming their aspects anew for weeks to come.

Jupiter-Uranus contacts are unusual or abrupt awakenings, unexpected opportunities, and new adventures, if somewhat strange. Saturn-Neptune contacts help us define intimacy in our lives, as well as what is realistic or unrealistic in our expectations or subconscious motives.

Also, since we're speaking of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, these are affecting everything large, such as entire nations, governments, the money supply, agriculture, international trade, and public health. These are major forces that transcend individuals, but affect us all in ways we may or may not recognize.

Since we must deal with these two major heavyweight forces in the foreseeable future, take thought of how you have experienced these so far, and how you would like to experience these in more productive ways in the future. You have nothing to lose except ambiguity, illusions, erratic responses, and rebelliousness. And that's not such a bad thing.

I'm trying desperately to ride the wave but the emotions sometime get in the way and the paralyzing effect of life right now are all to true for me and many others. I posted a few weeks back, but gave some limited info on my natal configuration. Currently, I am feeling an exceptional amount of higher purpose. In fact, I have changed directions entirely back in July of '06 and, it is as if, the world has opened up from a purpose and spiritual stand point. I am doing what I love and I feel a tremendous amount of change is about to take place.

Is it possible for the jupiter uranus square to have strong positive affects on a person? Because, my current situation feels so right, and almost, necessary.....and not necessarily for myself but for helping others in the future (which I believe many will be in need over the next four to five years).....I would love to hear your thoughts.

Thank You Robert, for this topic!!! I was one of many who did email you about how terribly wrong things coming out of nowhere, starting this past Monday, April 16th.
Your sentence stating the following, completely summed it up for what I'm personally experiencing: "Energy that can create wreckage through thoughtlessness, a desire to "break free" into nowhere special, or erratic responses to opportunities that aren't unfolding "fast enough."

I just hope it's not too late for me to be able to turn things around after my thoughtless actions this week, since I ruined two very important relationships in my life by not staying calm, or thinking situations through thoroughly.

I felt like I was not being respected at all by one person, so I reacted with strong words, child-like impatience, and a strong desire to want to break free of the situation when I didn't get the results I wanted quick enough.

If we do react erratically to someone else who is being thoughtless towards us and/or our needs, and in retaliation, we respond thoughtlessly, will this be a time period where we see others finally taking responsibility for their actions, since many people are being forced to learn lessons, or may be dealing with the expectations of others being heavily placed on them?

For me personally, I have a lot of empathy towards other's feelings, so when I do hurt someone, I acknowledge that I was wrong. But, many people I know, go through life never taking responsiblity or blame for how their actions affect others. It would be nice to see people who normally cannot see the error in their ways towards others, finally admit they too make mistakes.

That scares me to think I've messed up two important friendships forever.

I'm still unsure about how transiting configurations affect the Asc/Desc. axis. My Asc/Desc. are at 21 Scorpio/Taurus, so the Saturn/Neptune opposition has been squaring them. On a personal note,since Uranus conjuncted the transiting North Node in Pisces which is conjunct my natal North Node,I have miraculously regained my mobility and health after 3 years of chronic heart failure and a terminal diagnosis with an added rare lung disease.I fell as if I have a literal new lease of life !

Hi Phyllis - Well, once we embrace the rollercoaster of the astral plane, it's not so terrifying when we see how much power we can derive from the process of detaching from the short view and mastering the larger process. It's all part of learning how to become fully human, and that of course involves dealing with strong feelings and not losing our cool or getting confused or overwhelmed. And you're right that remembering "this too will pass" and getting the occasional physical workout helps the nerves. Thanks for the thumbs up on the accuracy.

Hi Miguela - Good that you are opening to your higher purpose. That's the beginning of major change, and unexpected results always develop from such openings. Yes, Jupiter square Uranus always has good effects if one is aligned with dharma. It may be a bit crazy, but it's always a spur to one's higher genius opening to a greater life adventure. The squares are challenges to "right action" which of course can be great when you're open to higher purpose. And of course you're welcome. Your life will show major progress as a result of Jupiter's transit this year, and the eclipse on your Mars should open some good things as well.

Hi Lisa S. - Well, if they're truly your friends, this is grist for future dialogue. If they're not your friends, then there are others to be made in the future as you process this experience. I'm sorry you lost your cool, but that IS the nature of this energy, and shows us all how to move into new realms without sinking the best of what has been. I will affirm that your friends will be able to forgive you and you all can open to a deeper, more compassionate way to be with each other in your shared humanness.

As for disrespect, well, I don't take well to that, and usually must restrain my flamethrower from carpetbombing their ego assumptions. Sometimes I succeed better than others. However, my inner filters know who my friends are, so it's easier for me to take the interaction in a non-destructive direction. And my true friends NEVER disrespect me. They may bust me, make a joke about something, but never make me feel like I'm not a good person. So take that into consideration. As for others taking responsibility, that's more Saturn than the planets of this article. And with Jupiter trine Saturn, yes, everyone is understanding their limits in one form or another, or reacting to unrealistic expectations. Nothing wrong with breaking free of another's chains that are not yours to wear. You'll probably find that your friends do take responsibility for their errors, while those who don't are not that safe to be around.

Hi Lisa - Let go of the need to indulge in power struggles you don't need. Try not to let the pressure of uncertainty cause you to implode or explode. Saturn ruler of your third shows you can focus on making your words and thoughts more loving, heartfelt, and mature. You have a need to feel that you have people close to you who love you and open new possibilities rather than confusion or doubt. And having re-defined "truth" in the recent past, it may naturally result in shifts in relationships.

Very interesting article about these two powerful aspects. I have just found your blog, nice to meet you. I have Jupiter transiting my 10th and Uranus about to enter my 2nd and I'm contemplating a career change. I'm a graphic artist, big in technology. Tired of the computer rat race. My company is going through a rough patch and many of us are afraid of getting laid off! Several, including management, have already been let go.(Uranus)I also have Saturn transiting my Venus and Pluto in the 7th, opposite transiting Neptune in my first, and I have been alone for ten years. No prospects of a companion in sight. It's really hard to meet guys. Also, money is really tight, so I need to keep this job. With this opposition aspect, I think I'm supposed to get used to being alone and self sufficient. I'll be glad when this aspect goes away. There is probably a change in spiritual awareness thing going on here, too, although I'm feeing kind of dreary in that dept. Anyway, I'm almost 53, a Cancer, and have already seen a lot of changes and unusual experiences in this life. See:

Hi Valerie - Welcome to the site. Good that you're thinking in the future, since you'll ride the waves of change more easily than those who cling to things already gone (thank you Jack Tempchin!) The Saturn transit shows you're definitely rewriting your address book. As for no one on the radar screen, perhaps you've had your magnetism on other things than a mate? And yes, it's not easy to attract someone aware that we could be with for the rest of our lives. Still, it is possible, if we open to learning what that might take. Start with affirming you are willing to attract a true friend who you might enjoy and might enjoy your company for years. With Aquarius rising, you're a being who is so out there you're probably always feeling like you're on the outside looking in. Definitely roll, adapt, affirm, and adjust.

About breaking away... My Venus in Sag at 16 degrees is caught in the mix. I find am chaffing at the bit to break free from so many long-term relationships, especially ones ones inherited from my parents/family. I have Venus trine Uranus, Moon conjunct Pluto and Saturn conjunct Mercury in my natal chart -- superficial simply does not work for me. Any suggestions on how to best move on with grace? Thank you.

Thankyou very much for your encouraging response. Being a Cancer I've spent most of my life clinging to the past (South node in Cancer) and have been consciously working to think more of the future (Jupiter). And yes, as Aquarius rising, I am really out there! I do feel like I'm outside looking in, you really hit the nail on the head. Sometimes I think I'm an alien switched at birth. I'm an interesting combination of Aquarius and Cancer. Anyway, that metaphor about riding the waves was a perfect motto to live by. Very Neptunian. I always come back to it after going through a bad patch. Until now I had not been paying attention to the fact that everyone else is going through weird changes and confusion as well as me. As shown by all you other people writing on this blog... your experiences are very interesting and helpful to me, and I'm enjoying all your articles. Hi,

I knew something huge was happening. I was born in 1964, with Saturn-Moon Conjunct in Pisces, Uranus conjunct Pluto in Virgo and all of this is part of a T-cross with Mars in Gemini.

I was born restless and now I am doing my best to stay centered and not sabotage opportunities that come my way. I am watching my words too since Mercury is the strongest planet in my chart.

I have witnessed that my words are often charged and I am doing my best to stay conscious of this and with a weak Venus, I am also having to put a lot of effort into learning diplomacy. I also feel like I am stepping on eggshells these days or landmines! I realize that I am my worse enemy and I hope that I can stay centered and avoid causing myself more suffering.

If there is anything I would like to liberate myself from, it is my own ability to sabotage my life. Think of the coyote with her tail on fire...

Anyone else born during the summer of 1964? What are your experiences at the moment?

I am also Cancerian, but with a Cancer North Node.

A relative of mine has an Aquarius AC and she often says that she feels out of sync with others.

I think Princess Diana of Wales had an Aquarius Moon and a Cancerian Sun, if that is helpful at all. From the little I know about her life, she seemed to struggle with this dynamic--going against the grain of her elite society in the way that she raised her sons. That is just one example of how this dynamic can play itself out.

I think there is a lot of mythology about Aquarius being a detached rebel. The Aquarians that I have known are more conservative that I am and I have a strong Saturn signature in my chart.

They tend to work in conservative environments and occasionally they shock a few people, by acting radical in some way or they act immature in some way, like this Aquarius man I once dated who stuffed a bunch of dollar bills in this belly dancer's bra at a company party.

But all people are capable of shocking others given the right circumstances.

Hi Patricia,
Thankyou for your input about Aquarius and Cancer. It's interesting what you said about the mythology... You'll find a lot of sources that say Aquarians are actually conservative. It is a fixed sign, co-ruled by Saturn. Note Ronald Reagan, Republican Aquarian. But they do march to a different drum and being eccentric, rebel in their own way. They are pioneers of change. I myself am conservative, but have very definite (liberal!)opinions about today's moral issues. I can't stand ignorance and hypocrisy.

By the way, with Mars about to join Uranus in Pisces, energizing that T-square in your chart, be very careful driving and so forth. Find a really good physical activity or project that requires lots of energy. I can see it happening around me already, crazy drivers and sudden incidents popping out all over the place! Right now it seems to me the whole world is going insane.

Hi Beth - Thanks for your praise of the site. I believe the height of human success is to know when to plan, when to act, when to be bold, when to hold back, and how to hold inner certainty when the course you've set is true and good for you. Your Jupiter/Asc wants to run wild at a moment's notice into the wild blue yonder. The trick is to act exactly at the right time with exactly the right means. Use the waiting to learn, love, enjoy, and become strong, then act at the right time.

Hi Valerie - Aquarius and Cancer make for an interesting mix of attachment and detachment, personality and impersonality. The two together yield the world servant with the personal touch that everyone can feel nurtured by. Jack Tempchin is someone I've known for awhile, one of the advantages of living in LA. He's written some of the greatest songs we've ever heard, including "Peaceful Easy Feeling," "Smuggler's Blues," and as per my reference, the Eagles hit "Already Gone." ;-) (I just can't help it sometimes...)

Hi Patricia - 1964 was a great year to be born! Magic was in the air, and would be for a few years after. Great atmosphere, with 7 Beatle hits in the top 10. Your process as you describe it is a very accurate way to characterize the mutable squares and oppositions. Centered is the only way to be when squares and oppositions are active. Overcoming self-sabotage becomes easier as we learn to surrender to the Voice of the Silence that always lets us know when it's better to meditate than whatever.

Aquarians can be VERY conservative, as per their Saturnine influences. Absolutely free to do their thing in their way, future oriented and usually optimistic, but very conservative. I believe Aquarians are the ones that by adopting the new they compel the acceptance from others who see the future unfolding in the Aquarian actions.

Hi Valerie - You hit Aquarian energy right on the money. Ultraprogressive in some ways, but always upholding a fixed ideal. Also, thanks for your comment about the Mars-Uranus. I have observed these past few days that aspect coupled with the Venus square Mars to manifest strange rudeness, a lack of social graces, abrupt u-turns by people almost causing accidents several times an hour, people popping in and out of side alleys and streets, and other over-the-top actions. The whole world is somewhat insane, but given what used to be considered "sane" this may be a Grand Irrationality that will yield good results over the long run, once the fever has run its course. I only saw one small fender-bender without any bent fenders recently. I was just a witness.

Thankfully I don't drive, but it seems like some of the bus drivers here have been driving somewhat wrecklessly lately.

I am more concerned with my past rebelliousness catching up to me while I try to re-enter the job market. That mutable T-Cross in my chart with its heavy-hitters, Mars, Pluto, Uranus, Saturn and Moon, has landed me in trouble too many times.

I need to learn Venus diplomacy even if Venus is retrograde and unaspected except for a loose square with Chiron in my chart.

It is good you are working on your Venus capacities, but also you should cultivate patience. If possible, learn to meditate, then you'll have a calmer approach to things. If you are re-entering the job market, with the Pisces-Virgo aspects, how about something in service, like teaching, nursing or therapy? With your high energy you could work well with kids. What is your rising sign, your 6th and 10th house cusps? Any planets transiting those points could show coming events or give you an idea what to get training for. Good luck!

I can tell you in one word- Neptune. Neptune is going over your sun now, and you are in for a period of wierdness. You may have strange dreams, strange ideas, confusion, lack of direction, and alot of things just don't make sense. You may have trouble making yourself understood to others. But there is a good side to it. You could be inspired and extremely creative. You could also have psychic or religious experiences. Be careful not to let others confuse or mislead you, you can be deceived under this transit. Luckily you have some really good grounding earth influences in your chart, particularly that Mars trine Jupiter, and guess what, Jupiter will soon come to his natal place in Capricorn which may bring some positive changes or an opportunity. Is anyone else feeling an uneasy doom?

I have been noticing a lot of discrepancies in communication today. For instance, the college where I am currently taking classes has this sustainability program that they support on campus--they claim not to use any pesticides etc... but today I saw all these warning signs around campus because Monsanto's Roundup had been used.

This pisses me off because I think the way to go is with native plants and natural integrative pest control. And basically this college is promoting or communicating information that simply isn't true. Using pesticides is not compatible with sustainability.

I am noticing this type of thing, people blatantly not walking their talk.

Hi zohe - Yes, Neptune on your Sun certainly lets you know ahead of time who or what is coming, if you can read the signals, never an easy thing. Uranus in Pisces in your 1st is opening you to global impressions that no doubt come on suddenly, with a high strung higher awareness that comes from everywhere but nowhere in particular. Your life will take a dramatic turn at your Jupiter return later this year, and whatever is awakened then will be gripped by Pluto in 2008 and taken to an entirely different dimension. Actually I am a musician, shaman and a writer working towards a career in public relations where I can combine sustainability and the arts.

I am not cut out for nursing and the medical field. Diseases frighten me.

I do meditate, I listen to music for relaxation and healing as well as, journaling. All of these things helps. I play music too.

Cultivating patience is hard when I sometimes do not have enough to eat, never know if I will be able to pay my bills and lack general security in my life. And no matter how hard I try to get ahead, I put in a lot of effort, something usually sabotages my efforts, an illness, money problems, etc...

Plus I suffer from chronic health problems which I cannot do much about because I cannot afford to go to a doctor.

There is a lot going on and I do my best to muddle through as they say. I am not alone, many people are floating in the same boat or worse.

Yet, I am wondering if anyone is experiencing unusual medical ailments at this time? This has been a hard week for me healthwise.

Hi Patricia - Since artists are 4th Ray beings, always challenged to bring harmony out of friction, there is an element of instability and uncertainty in their lives. However, in olde times the nobility were the patrons of artists, ensuring the thriving of culture. Now we live in a mechanical world where the bottom line drives decisions rather than human desire for truth, goodness, and beauty. So art is made for its own sake, while we search for ways to pay the bills.

I lived that way for years, and am still of the opinion that "nothing great was ever created in comfort" though of course a layer of stability is always welcome. That's why I encourage people to learn as many skills as they can that fill some need of their world, as eventually we find our way to something that feeds our bodies even as we do that which feeds our Souls. And yes, it has also been a strange 7 days for me healthwise.

Thanks for your words of support.

Some artists make a very good living while others don't. I think some thrive well on competition and others more on community building. Not to say that community builders are not also successful artists.

The ones that spend time on community building will be rewarded in the end, but in the meantime, spend more time on community building then creating art.

For instance, since 2002, I have been reviewing other musicians' work on a website I created, but not really having the time to perform my own music.

Part of me feels that this is my role at the moment and I do enjoy writing about music even though it is not the same as performing and recording it myself.

I did struggle with this for awhile. But now, my website receives very little traffic and I wonder if this is a sign that it is time for me to move onto doing music myself. Taking that next step. Perhaps it is.

I am also pursuing a career in public relations to pay my bills, but also feed my soul since I can only see myself promoting a good cause, something sustainable or social justice for all creatures.

As far as, learning new skills, I have traveled down many paths picking up skills in the arts, metaphysics, communications and other endeavors. I have a hunger for learning anyway and a strong Mercury in my chart for disseminating information to the public, the writing that I do. I am a messenger and that is okay with me.

Well, enough for now. I send blessings to all during this erratic time.

How long have these heavy metals been in the air?

I have been suffering from headaches and fatigue for several years now without knowing the actual reason.

I heard a Jim Hightower commentary yesterday about the commercial bee industry in the U.S. and how that industry's practices are destroying the bee population here. No bees=no food. (I haven't read the article on bees on this site yet).

Some days are so overwhelming because so much destruction is being done to the planet in the name of progress.

I have been doing research for a school paper on one particular Native American tribe, The Lower Elwha people of the Port Angeles region in Washington State, when they lost their fishing rights, and other dignities when the pioneers showed up.

I found this book written in 1880 by pioneers or a government official of Washington State. It was encouraging settlers to come to Washington State and settle the uncultured land. You know, Manifest Destiny.

I felt sick reading it.

It was like reading Dr. Suess's "The Lorax." So much ignorance. That was in 1880 and people still think this way...

I hope that we can change this mindset and save this planet.

Hi Audrey - 17 years is approximately a Nodal cycle, so it fulfills old past life karmas and ends a long wave growth pattern. Things are "out of control" thanks to the long term Grand Irrationality, and won't be back "in control" for 10 years. So strive for what you can, and surrender to what there's no use struggling with. Saturn on your Venus/Pluto shows whatever's taken away is no longer a part of your value system, soon to be replaced with people and things more appealing to who you are, not who you were. Hi giverny - Yes, I agree that we are dealing with waaaay too many toxins in our world, and that the present policies are compromising the health of every person and creature on Earth. Uranium poisoning is why I'm completely against nukes in every way shape and form. There are NO good uses for nuke anything. In a hidden epidemic, DA poisoning is now creating a huge mess all along the coastlines, with everything from sea lions to whales washing up dead. We have stupid, shortsighted agricultural policies to thank for that. Will check out the skinny on zeolite. And of course, we're all glad you're back online and tuning in on the meditation. They are nearing a deadline on Darfur and have come up with solid theories about fungus/mites with the bees, along with cell phone interruptions to their navigational systems. Still, it seems like we're nearing a breakthrough, which is what the meditation was about.

Hi Patricia - Yes, it's a full on assault on all living creatures, given the quantities of pesticides, herbicides, urea-based fertilizers, radioactivity, and everything else we're dumping in our air, water, and land. Plus add major global stress from genocides, wars, generic human suffering, torture, and the neglect of governments to TCB of basic human needs and rights, and it's easy to see we're at a "fail safe" point in terms of the human condition. Human, animal, and plant bodies didn't evolve over millions of years to confront the massive assault coming from every quarter by short sighted, greedy, stupid ways of living. When I was politically and environmentally active in Texas, Jim Hightower was a beacon of speaking truth to power. A one-man "bust 'em with a joke" force majeur. I believe much will change in the next few years, since it cannot continue the way it's been. And of course, that sort of massive change may be a wakeup call, but it's sure to dislocate a lot of people, and bring chaos with it. Eventually we'll come to the other side of this madness, but we still have to go through the death of the dysfunctional system that refuses to adapt or let go. One thing - the planet will survive and do quite well. It's the people and creatures that will have a far harder time of it. That's why we're again learning cooperation, synergy, and foresight. These will serve us and the planet well.

Hi Audrey - All we can do is learn to navigate the changes, which will make no sense off and on for 10 years. We're all in this together, and this site is dedicated to helping people know when the changes are happening so we can surf the waves accordingly. And remember chaos is a prelude to a new life order based in a higher love, whether it looks that way at the time or not. This is potentially a great time if we learn what changes to make in action, feeling, thought, or aspiration. All forms pass away, but we do not have to suffer at the changes any more than we choose to.

I agree with Audrey, 10 years is too much of chaos.

However, some of it is funny or at least surreal.

Yesterday I was on a bus where two junior high kids were fighting over a recent breakup. I could feel their anguish, that part wasn't funny.

The funny part was how shrill the conversation was and how the other passengers had to deal with it. I had a funny conversation with the bus driver.

On the way back, the bus was packed like sardines. Seattle is going to be packed like sardines too in the next 10 to 20 years since the city council is planning for density and I guess we longtime residents are suppose to jump for joy as condos and townhouses sprout like mushroom in all corners and vacant lots in the city.

I personally would like to leave this city, the sooner, the better.

Meanwhile, the legacy of Chief Seattle lives on in my heart and watching the city turn into a concrete jungle with downtown filling up with skyscrapers, green or not, is part of this chaos.

I have witnessed almost ever sector have to deal with these changes and the crumbling of the old structure. Everything from anorexic supermodels in France to stupid laws that destroy education and healthcare.

But I guess this is all meant to be on some level and Divine Wisdom is part of the plan even if it hurts like hell sometimes.

Put on your favorite music and dance or sing or both.

And the other advice, when you see something so obviously unjust, speak up even if people call you negative. This is a message for all who read this. Speak up and be heard.

Hi Patricia - Well, I figure we volunteered to be here during The Grand Irrationality, so we must be strong spirits ready to do some heavy lifting to bring order out of chaos. And yes, a lot of it is "funny or at least surreal." Good to have a sense of humor when everything is fragmenting and shrill is in the air. (Venus opposed Jupiter square Mars/Uranus - yeehaw!)

The world has developed unsustainable models based in outmoded economic systems. Condos falling apart a few years after they're built is not a good model for shelter. And of course, lament the suffering that will come when Puget Sound hosts a slippage of tectonic plates, though it will clear out a lot of buildings, especially on the islands. Every city in this country is unsustainable, for one reason or another.

I wish there were more singing and dancing in this country, as well as speaking out against injustice in situations where it matters. The powers that be are not for such things, since people gathering together makes them powerful in their shared experience. That's why the society is structured as market segments rather than "a common people."

You're right that most times it makes absolutely zero difference what other people think about us - but it does matter what our heart and Soul feel about what we are and are not doing. And of course, there are productive and destructive forms of negativity. Which one is often in the eye of the beholder, depending on whose "sacred cow" is being skewered. Still, if we strive for positivity, it cultivates a positive momentum, and accusations of negativity can be taken in stride.

I miss you all without my computer daily! and I was once a technophobe!!The heavy metals have always been there since the industrial revolution and they are just increasing everyday, then you just have to think about Chernobyl and Iraq war and it just goes on....bombings add depleted uranium(the dust from the bombs which circulates around the world!)most people also have mercury fillings posioning us then pesticides and lead from traffic pollution....it's a toxic cocktail...sounds depressing but the zeolite is amazing and safe it was used to clean up the radiation on chernobyl!!we all need this stuff....we have too get it from the US as the TGA has not approved it here yet....have heard great testimonials about it so far and it is the only thing which does remove radiation safely from the body!! love and light to all
