Not long ago I offered that some points in time are especially potent for our meditations to become real. After deliberating on ideas for a group meditation experiment where we might achieve measurable results, I think I've found an initial two that are crucial and we'll find out quickly whether what we're doing is effective. I'm announcing this now since Mercury is on the 30th degree of Pisces and so offers us the power to make Archetypes manifest. This is a slightly different group meditation than those usually done, but it's structured in a way that makes it possible for everyone around the world to participate. If you're interested, read on.
As the title implies, we have two GIANT problems in our world that need resolving immediately, if not sooner. Darfur is a boil on the body of humanity. The genocide must stop. Period. Relief workers must be allowed in to take care of suffering humanity as soon as possible. To that end, the first part of the meditation is:
"I affirm the fact that the genocide in Darfur will stop, not to return, and within 60 days at latest relief workers will be allowed to start the healing."
The second part of this meditation involves one of humanity's most important co-workers, the honeybee. They are dying all over, hives are collapsing, and if this continues, it will drastically affect our food supply. We are told bees were a gift from a higher Source to give humanity a miraculous life form that generates much more than it takes. They are a cooperative, essentially nonviolent life form. If we lose them, we lose a huge contributor to the sweetness of our Earth. To that end, I believe we all need to meditate that a cause for the collapse of the honeybee population will be found immediately, as well as the means to reverse a disaster in the making. To that end, the second part of the meditation is:
"I affirm the fact that within 30 days solutions will be found to reverse the collapse of the honeybee population. May God's most perfect wisdom make it so."
Of course, you may also substitute "Spirit" or any other form of Divine Energy in the affirmation. How this is different from other group meditations is that I propose that we focus on this at four specific times of the day, so that no matter where in the world we are, we will have at least twice each day to focus on the intention. Of course, keeping the focus and affirming the solutions more than those four times is very good, so if you're inclined, please do whatever meditations you do, and include these worthy intentions, regardless of when you meditate.
I propose that for Pacific Daylight Time, the affirmations be sent out at 6 am, Noon, 6 pm and Midnight, which are the same times as (+10 Greenwich) in Australia. That is 9 am, 3 pm, 9 pm, and 3 am Eastern Daylight Time as well as Western European Time (+1 Greenwich), and 1:30 pm, 7:30 pm, 1:30 am, and 7:30 am in India. Please don't feel that you must meditate all four times in a daily cycle, but keep the intention in your hearts as constantly as possible. I believe at least a month would be a good length of time to do this. Of course, we could see measurable results in less time, but 4 weeks is certainly not too much time to devote to these worthy meditations.
This is the first experiment of this sort for this site, and it is my firm belief that we can and will make a difference in bringing forth solutions to these crises facing humanity. Thanks for joining me in this, and I have no doubt that within 30 days we should see breakthroughs in both areas. I'm doing my first meditation at noon today. See you in the ethers.

Hi ann - According to timeanddate.com, you're 14 hours later than PDT, so it would be 2 am, 8 am, 2 pm, 8 pm your time. If you know that you're in a different time zone than that, let me know. Thanks for joining in. We already span the Pacific. Aum Mani Padme Hum.

Robert, I love what you are doing...however, I would like to make my affirmations in the present. Genocide has stopped, relief workers are healing,a solution has been found for the honeybees, From my old wicca days, affirmations in the future are not as attainable...more positive, stronger energy in the present tense.. As you say it, it is so.
Just a thought...

Just a small comment for those that may not be familiar with the Law of Attraction. For the meditation to be successful, please be sure to focus on what you want rather than what you don't want. For instance, rather than say "I affirm the fact that the genocide in Darfur will stop", say "I affirm that peace will come to Darfur". This may seem insignificant but it is critical for success. The universe does not understand "NO". The universe says YES to whatever you focus your attention to. If you want to learn more about Law of Attraction, visit thesecret.tv and abraham-hicks.com
Even Mother Theresa understands this. She has been heard saying "I will never attend an Anti-War rally. But invite me to a Peace rally and I will come"

Hi all - Thanks for stopping in, and I hope you'll continue to send your prayers and meditations at whatever intervals you're able to both of these worthy goals in the future. Some explanation for why they were worded as they were: These were crafted in the models of Frances Scovel Shinn, Louise Hay, and what I learned about "the command" in the Agni Yoga teachings. I chose my precise wording with the intention of achieving specific effects through principles I've applied for 30 years. There are many ways to achieve altruistic effects, so by all means, use whatever thoughtforms you know will work.
While there are many ways to craft an affirmation, there is power when we use the specific word "WILL" in the command. And since I cannot affirm something that is not true, I chose to craft the thoughtform to affirm it "will stop, not to return," and "solutions will be found." It's a First Ray method, which other ray types may not share or agree with. That said, these specific affirmations will work as they are clear and definite demand upon Spirit. I put specific times on when things are to manifest that have not been a reality up to now.
I don't feel I can affirm that peace is coming or will come to Darfur since that is not within our control, being a far larger global virus. We can affirm it to the degree we are able, but even Gandhi could not bring forth "peace." However, we CAN stop genocide and relief workers can be let back in. These are attainable with or without "peace," and are specifically measurable, which was the point of the exercise. Also, if the genocide stops and relief workers are let back in, then we ARE on the way to a form of peace.
To address "anonymous," the Universe does in fact recognize "no," despite rumors to the contrary. In major ways that are easily demonstrated. That's why we must be clear about what is and is not true or even attainable under precisely crafted circumstances. And "the secret," besides being not so secret, doesn't tell the whole story, and sets people up to come to false conclusions when their thoughtforms do not come true. That is a fatal flaw in that movie. Not all things are true, nor can they be affirmed into reality if they are inherently unreal. That's why I'll affirm moderating the violence, blessing the healers, and affirm that some person somewhere is coming up with a solution for whatever ails the bees. These are specifically attainable effects all can see.

This is great, thanks Robert for pulling us all together. i plan to write the affirmations & place them on a prominent wall in my house as i recall louise hay mentioning same, also aids subliminal reminding too when walking past. In addition given i love the garden (it's spring time here)maybe folks out there could join in by planting a plant that honey bees love & whilst planting do so with the intent that this is planted with love to nourish our beautiful & plentiful honey bees.

My name is Cristina. I am writing from Barcelona, Spain. I found your blog recently, I became fascinated by serious astrology a few months ago. Your site is one of the best I have found so far. The meditation proposal is specially interesting. However, when reading the affirmations, I agree with the comment by Betty. In the past years I have been studying and practicing techniques (specially shamanic) for the development of conscioussness in the last years, and at least, in my very personal experience, what seems to have worked without failure is affirming in the present. The developments take a certain time to be seen. But the moment I acknowledge whatever I put my attention on as a fact, I know it within, I can feel it as real, without a doubt, then it does work, quite quickly. I see you have commented on it after, but nevertheless, I felt like sending the comment, in case it is any use.

Hi again all - Just to clarify, the intention is to generate positive measurable results, regardless of which method we use, by all tuning in however we can wherever we are at specific points in time, unbound by having a set single time to do it once a day.
I always felt it was a drag that someone in England or Europe would do a global meditation but make it for 11 am, which is 2-3 am for those of us in Calfornia. Or meditators here doing one at 6 pm which is 2-3 am in Europe. I figured by setting times every six hours, it helps keep the thought present throughout the day and night, and we should find ourselves naturally meditating on the intention and holding the expectation. That generates a series of pulses that will create an effect.
I suggested the specific phraseology for those who do not already have their own knowledge and practice of affirmations, or who want to tune in to the one I do. People should certainly do whatever they know works. Definitely use your Cardinal sign energy to generate, use your Fixed sign energy to stabilize, and use your Mutable sign energy to distribute the intention using wording and thoughtforms you find most efficacious. We're all one choir. Aum Mani Padme Hum! (And now it's time for the next meditation!)

Thank you for this initiation of a beautiful prayer on behalf the honeybee (amazing manifestation of the sacred), people seeking release from oppressors in Dafur and those who seek to help them. Also joining in and asking others to join also!

Believe it or not there are a few of us who work late and stay up late. I just now came in from my office. I will be meditating in a few minutes at 1am local mountain daylight time. Perhaps people around the globe are having their morning coffee or lunch. It is fun to connect with everyone. I know and believe that this is very important work. Being a Libran I want to encourage everyone to find common ground here. Let's focus on the intent. I know that all of our ancestors, the Angels and Masters are working with us. Thank you so much Robert for launching this practical exercise into reality. So Mote it Be. And So It Is!

Hi Robert. Wonderful idea. I am sure it'll work. Only, I am a bit confused with this time thing....cus when here in Dublin is 9 pm as it is now, In LA is 1 pm and that's 8 hours difference and you re suggesting that difference is 9 h. Or maybe you meant for 'middle western Europe' like eg Paris? Coz there is 10 pm now.???? Thank you, Ana
Posted by: Ana, Republic of Ireland, 9 pm | April 11, 2007 at 01:21 PM
Hi ana - If you're 8 hours later than me, it means you're on Greenwich time, which is one hour earlier than the Netherlands or France. Therefore, in Ireland your meditation times would be 8 am, 2 pm, 8 pm, and 2 am. Any two of these will do, of course. As I said, I wouldn't want anyone to lose sleep (since that doesn't make for great meditations - I've tried it, and 2 am just does not cut it for me!) I suppose if I were a night watchman or something.... ;-) Thanks for checking in and participating.

Hello Robert,
I happened to catch this on BBC yesterday about the hearings. See article below referencing same:
http://www.sudantribune.com/spip.php?article21317
http://foreign.senate.gov/testimony/2007/NatsiosTestimony070411.pdf
In essence, they have given in to a special request for another 4 weeks of negotiation for a complete AU resolution instead of the joint forces. But Natsios assured the committee that it would be the last extension and in 4 weeks from 4/11, if they did not see any resolution, then it would begin to implement Plan B.
The key component here is to pray that Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir has a change of heart and allows the hybrid AU-UN peacekeeping force to begin it's efforts on behalf of the folks in Darfur.
I wonder if just the implementation of our thoughtform experiment has wrought an effect. Note the 4-week time period that coincides with our 30-day goal.

Hi Juliet - I noted that. Perhaps our experiment is aligned with a larger Divine time line, and everything is converging on that point. If so, then we pray the bees are on the mend as well. We should expect measurable results by May 10.

From the UK Indpependent newspaper:
Are mobile phones wiping out our bees?
Scientists claim radiation from handsets are to blame for mysterious 'colony collapse' of bees
By Geoffrey Lean and Harriet Shawcross
Published: 15 April 2007
It seems like the plot of a particularly far-fetched horror film. But some scientists suggest that our love of the mobile phone could cause massive food shortages, as the world's harvests fail.
They are putting forward the theory that radiation given off by mobile phones and other hi-tech gadgets is a possible answer to one of the more bizarre mysteries ever to happen in the natural world - the abrupt disappearance of the bees that pollinate crops. Late last week, some bee-keepers claimed that the phenomenon - which started in the US, then spread to continental Europe - was beginning to hit Britain as well.

Robert,
Don't worry. As far as I'm concerned, it is a done deal.
The bee is a powerful symbol for me as the bee is not suppose to fly because of its heavy body structure and it's small wing span.
But it does!
It is about achieving the impossible.

Hi all - It's good that researchers all over are getting focused on something more important than all the wars being fought. Speaking of which, it's also interesting to note that the LA Times recently had an op-ed piece on Darfur and the regional violence, where the writer focused on the larger problems of the region and the different factions killing each other. Though it's complicated politically, it's not complicated to STOP killing while a more "permanent" solution can be found. Stopping the genocide is the first step to peace. Aum.

Having spent a fortnight on the British isles celebrating my own Golden jubilee (Aries/Arian (re)turn-about/around:),I found the life in Aquarius Papers aquatorium in full sway! While thinking about War-Peace problem solving and resolution,I always keep in mind that there is a palace-castle in Belarus which is called Mir,or Peace among one of this Slavic word meanings. When we focus on peace we can really- piece by piece, step by step- take IT back from war.
...Though the bullet-centered heated discussions here have just shown how evil spirits can play the role of central heating within and between human beings:(
Still let us beep (it's a slip of keep:) on thinking about busy bees-they are really worth worldwidewebmedidating and caring...
Posted by: Svetlana | April 22, 2007 at 01:11 PM
Hi Svetlana - Yes, if we devoted as much time, energy, and money to implementing peace as we do war, the world would change in a matter of moments. Of course, even to suggest there should be a tax on the implements of war creates "sturm und drang" among the paranoid, as you no doubt noted!
The bee is one of my most important totems, and gave me what the shamans call "a totemic experience of the second kind." They are one of humanity's most important allies, so let's keep affirming their collective health and well-being. Whatever solutions need to be implemented are coming forth as we speak!

Hi dcu - Thanks for the link. Reuters of course. You'd think we'd be assembling a total governmental effort between public and private sectors to figure this one out asap, since our food supply depends on it. Billions for bombs, guns, and bullets, but dragging our feet while our food supply is at risk. Human insanity at its worst! However, I will note that about two days after we began our thoughtform, both topics have been all over the news, almost nonstop. May the genocide stop and relief workers be let in! May solutions be found to reverse the collapse of the bee populations. As it has been declared for centuries, "So mote it be. Amen."

Hi all,
Regarding again the Law of Attraction, I am currently reading the book "ask and it is given" which inspired the movie the secret, and in my humble opinion, is much better than the movie.
It states you can only achive that which you feel to be good, to be true, to know it is possible.
If you are in despair you cannot affirm I will become happy tomorrow since is a too wide shift in vibration. You could start saying I am currently feeling better abotu this, and then going on and on with better sentences or thoughts. The same about solving a relationship, a job or whatever wish.
It also states by saying i dont want to feel sick that you are focusing on both health and lack of it at the same time, blocking the process, generaly speaking. It is wiser to state and focus the want instead of the not want. But I am open to more wide perspectives as I am a begginner on the understanding of this universal law.
I will so, ask for the peace process to grow in darfur, that will happen eventually and I ask for a lifting and a peace to come to peoples hearts. I ask also for peace comes to mother nature and keeps the marvelous of bees and related flowers with us, as I love both. Even this weekend I came across a magical field of wide flowers here in portugal and saw amazing butterflies and lots of bees there!
At least I join with you all on our same wish of plenty of bees, plenty of world peace everywhere!

Hi Arend - Yes, measurable progress has been made as of now. Will be posting an update as soon as I have time to compose a comprehensive article on the bees. Yesterday Sudan accepted peacekeepers in Darfur, but... keeps putting conditions that are more stumbling blocks than solutions. But at least there's been more global media and some measure of progress in the past 2 months than in the years before now, so I suppose we all are contributing to a "measurable effect."

A bit/quantum of info on Bee theme.
A recent borderline crosscultural "polysemantical" festival in Polish Supraslj had a bee as its symbol, archetypical creature. The former ones were Elk,Bison,Swallow,Pine-tree,CornFlower etc
A lot of bee-keepers sold their products at the fair, and i brought home tasty honey to enjoy life itself and the work of bees in particular:)
Posted by: Svetlana | June 13, 2007 at 03:27 PM
Hi Svetlana - To clarify, there was a major article about this in the LA Times which I'll be "crunching" into a post the next few days, along with insights I found across the web universe. As of now, it seems the cell phone thing was bogus, due to mistranslation from the German to the English (Surprise!). Was not a cell phone, but a regular portable phone removed from its base and laid near a hive. The entire rumor of cell phones apparently has NOTHING to do with bee activity. Utterly ridiculous! Oh, to have a solution to the Tower of Babel! Figured you, Svetlana, of all people, being a linguist would see the irony in this!

Kudos to Amnesty International, all the great musicians who performed on it, and a special thank you to Yoko for donating the rights to the songs for this project.
It was on the news recently that the government of Sudan is now considering allowing some UN troops in. International pressure is building.

Robert, for the first time(?!) I didn't grasp the (whole:) idea of your answer-message.
I just wanted to add mere info -in the context of increased frequency of Bee image presence in the world- about the ordinary interregional festival of culture which took place in Poland... It was my unplanned visit there-i agreed to go for last weekend when got to know about its symbol. For example, there was a photo-exhibition and a film "Microcosmos" with the huge-enlarged insects including bees,mini-conference on bees etc
Will you please explain (once again:) what is/was behind your words "to have a solution to the Tower of
Babel". And your last sentence for my tired brains:) doesn,t sound like the solution of your first
statement-intention"to clarify"...
maybe,it is New Moon or Mercury retrograde which make a personal (here-mine:) perception inadequate:):):)
Posted by: Svetlana | June 14, 2007 at 02:24 AM
Hi dcu - I wholeheartedly endorse what you've written; this is a major event, given that Yoko has NEVER before offered to allow John's solo work to be used this way. What a gift to the world! His magic continues to work even 27 years after his death! And may it continue...
Hi Svetlana - "The Tower of Babel" is the biblical metaphor for why we are confused by each other's languages and their structures. It is why there are mistranslations between languages and cultural metaphors. The phrase "to clarify" related to my larger (future) intention to elaborate on the LA Times research on the problem, as well as the cell phone conceptual mistranslation. As a linguist, I thought you would find it interesting that someone mistranslated the German to "cell phone" rather than "portable phone," two entirely different machines. Thus my reference to you. Otherwise, my comment wasn't directed toward what you specifically wrote; it was to offer something to others wandering through this thread. Of course, this is a perfect example of "the confusion of tongues" as we were talking in parallel but not the same contexts. Thanks for hanging in there, as sometimes my mind makes perceptual leaps and I forget to connect the dots.

Great work, you guys!
Here it is, just two years after this post, and the genocide in Darfur is all done, the honeybees are fine, and peace reigns on earth.
I never would have believed it if I hadn't seen it happen with my own eyes.
Now that you've got those problems fixed, how about preventing the flooding in North Dakota?
Posted by: Jack McCullough | March 28, 2009 at 06:14 AM
Hi Jack - Though I usually answer comments in the order they came in, yours deserves a quick answer. First, thanks for the snarky attitude. I will note that in fact there has been tremendous progress in both areas of focus since this post, progress always a relative term. Your absolutist attitude about fixing problems can never solve anything, and is off-putting to potential allies. All progress is incremental, and we all do what we can. Were I in ND, I'd be meditating AND filling sand bags. I've been to your site, and while I agree with your politics, it must be nice to be so comfortable that you feel your sarcasm is useful. BTW, some of us are both "real world" activists as well as meditators, since both approaches are useful in their ways and times. Later easy and Peace out.
