Spiritual Astrology in May-June 2007 Pt. 1 - The Pressure's On Everyone To Choose Wisely
by Robert Wilkinson
The coming weeks show us reviewing Plutonic seeds of long term change as Neptune goes stationary RX preparing to do its review between June and October hinting at the promise of things to come in collective consciousness. Uranus moves into a zone it hasn't occupied since 1923-24, awakening strange sensations and larger feeling experiences showing us our interconnectedness within the larger Soul field of Consciousness. We're getting in shape, learning how to live appreciatively, and preparing to take a "walk with a Higher Wisdom" while showing our world what we are able and ready to do.
As I noted in last month's Spiritual Astrology article, the outer Invisible Triad of these Transpersonal planets are showing us unknown zones of Spiritual futures since they are now in degree spans not experienced in close to a century or more. Due to the Solar Eclipses of the past 7 months square Pluto while the Lunar Eclipses conjuncted or opposed Uranus, we're in a future oriented tide of evolution that is closing life chapters and opening new ones where we can become inspired, enjoy ourselves more, and light up our world in ways everyone can appreciate.
So overall it's a time of getting used to the threshold of new beginnings as we shift focus on our ideals, the way we're relating to others and everything that is, consciously and unconsciously. Some of the dynamics are more harmonious than others, given the ongoing Saturn opposition Neptune, Jupiter square Pluto, and Saturn quincunx Uranus. The aspects between these 5 planets are showing we're becoming aware, turning corners, and making practical adjustments whether we want to or not.
Jupiter and Saturn translate the energies of the outer Invisible Triad into widespread social influences within which our personalities operate in local conditions, however wide or narrow our field of influence. As with the past two months, we continue a period of a major stabilizing and harmonizing trine (120 degree) influence between Jupiter and Saturn.
This period is setting our future Dharma resulting from the choices and changes of the mid-December through early January Jupiter biseptile Saturn, a time when all of us confronted major forks in the road of our destinies. These choices continue to shape our personalities toward a future on the way like an express train over the next few months.
Just after that, we had brief yet powerful Tredecile, a specializing time of unique interactivity that set future "serendipity" in the areas Jupiter and Saturn are transiting in our charts. This brought very unique gifts perfect for our circumstances, or our unique qualities found situations perfect for them.
These are now stabilizing. The period of unique interactivity will return between mid-June and mid-July 2007. After that we confront a "point of no return" between late July through mid-November 2007, when these two powerhouses form the last biseptile, first from Sag to Leo, then from Sag to Virgo after Saturn enters that sign.
Saturn continues to put pressure on collective consciousness to awaken to a more mature heart energy, through the on-going Saturn opposition Neptune moving toward fulfillment 9:57 am PDT June 25 from 22 Leo to 22 Aquarius. This will lead us to a greater sense of service, purpose, or "message," and is an extremely hot zone for two weeks before and after, especially when the Moon conjuncts, squares, or opposes either.
Keep narrowing your focus to get a better sense of, and handle on, the larger whole of your affairs, don’t get needlessly detached, and try to bring the ideal into reality while busting old illusions born of fear and releasing duties and limitations no longer appropriate to the new life Uranus has awakened these past two years. Saturn opposed Neptune is a general oppositional polarizing tension we're been dealing with since late 2005 and we'll be living with through Summer 2007.
This opposition is teaching us how to manage dualisms and tensions through balancing the reality and the ideal as they evolve over time. We recently had a lot of light shed on these issues in February when the Sun conjuncted Neptune and opposed Saturn, vitalizing and illuminating what we acted on when Mars went through the tension zone from mid-to-late March. Neptune's lesson this year is a challenge to get balanced and find creativity in the realm of ideals, the collective consciousness and unconscious, and what love and friendship actually are as we learn to be the patient, mature, and methodical directors of our on-going Self-transformation.
Saturn is no longer the nozzle for all the other planets, as now one of the empty spans is filled, creating a "Locomotive" Jones patterns with Saturn forming a trine to Pluto defining the remaining empty span from late Leo to late Sag. I'll comment on that in a future article. With Saturn anchoring the span of activity of the Locomotive, it shows that we shall attain definiteness and a sense of Dharma, or "true functioning," through our experiences. Saturn represents Dharma, and in Leo, it's helping us mature in our self-expression, pleasures, and enjoyment of how we're doing our Being.
As you know from the on-going weekly forecasts, Neptune and Pluto are still in septile, and therefore anchoring The Grand Irrationality. As to why 2007 is somewhat over-the-top energetically, besides being the Year of the Fire Boar, the Grand Irrationality has been continually triggered from November 2006 through April by transits of various sectors bringing forth this collective weirdness affecting us all. It is why strange, irrational, obsessive-compulsive energies are boiling to the top in personalities and situations, and there continues to be a hard edge to our lives. Collectively we are at a fork in the road of human evolution.
Late January and early February intensified the process, since it boosted what happened last Autumn. Mars initiated changes January 10-15 followed by Venus January 17-21 and Mercury January 25-29. In February the pattern was set off between February 6-12, and in late February Venus activated a third point of the Seven Pointed Star and the Moon a fourth in the Cancer zone February 27.
In March and April The Grand Irrationality was triggered March 1-3, March 20-April 4, and April 12-18. These transits set off important changes and choices that may not have made much sense, but we had to make them anyway. It's been the forward edge of future "destiny" by how we've been greeting the weirdness of the NOW.
Any time a planet goes through any of the zones of The Grand Irrationality it triggers effects. At present these points are approximately 27 Sagittarius-1 Capricorn, 20-25 Aquarius, 11-14 Aries, 2-7 Gemini, 24-27 Cancer, 15-19 Virgo, and 6-10 Scorpio.
As you also know from the weekly forecasts, the Moon's transit of any of the hot zones will trigger the pattern. In the coming two months the Moon adds another point to the Grand Irrationality when it transits Scorpio May 1-2 at the Wesak Festival Full Moon, May 28-29, and June 25. It triggers the pattern in Sag on May 5-6, June 1-2, and June 29-30, Aquarius on May 10 and June 6, Aries on May May 13 and June 9-10, and Virgo May 24-25 and June 21.
In the next few weeks, the pattern will be set off by all the inner planets numerous times. Mercury is in the Gemini zone May 11-14, the Sun is there May 21-27, Mars is in the Aries zone May 27 through June 3, and Venus is in the Cancer zone May 29 through June 2. As you can see, May 27 through June 2 will be highly activated May 28-29 when the Moon's in Scorpio and 6 of the 7 pointed star is lit up.
In late May and early June, the times of day when mid-Virgo will be on the angles will be especially important, as then all 7 points of the Heptagon will be active, and no doubt it will be a time to remember, when major life-altering decisions are made and events compel us to move in the direction of our Higher Destiny. After that specific point of focus in time, the pattern will not be triggered by any of the inner planets until mid-July.
Since all the planets are involved, it will trigger changes in the houses ruled by each planet, as well as any life areas where we have planets in those hot zones. The houses they occupy as well as rule will be most directly affected. By staying on top of where these zones are triggered by outer events symbolized by the transiting planets, we are given a heads up on what’s coming. During transits to any of the 7 zones of influence, expect shifts, changes, forks in the road, irrational or compulsive behavior in self or others, and important times of decision.
All septile series aspects indicate an on-going weirdness, strange choices, crucial decisions, and general edginess and the sense that forces beyond our control are at work. Not necessarily bad, as long as we remember that we may not be able to reason our way through what's happening and the energy doesn't get too crazy or destructive. This aspect set moves us to make choices that affect our potential "higher destiny." The days mentioned above are the times when the generic weirdness is triggered, and bring decisions that may not make much sense but have to be made anyway.
Part 2 of this month's Spiritual Astrology will explore more about the spans the outer planets are in as well as the times when planets will make dynamic aspects to the Invisible Triad, being periods when we are most challenged to cooperate with "Spiritual" energies.

Thank you. Just amazing your vision. Yes, that's how it feels and flows - what makes 'sense' does not and vice versa, and much else in between.
My progressed Sun's in Scorpio, Uranus is opp. my 7th house, Pluto's in my 4th since 1995 (all memorable), and Saturn's in my 12th. moving to the 1st house fairly soon.
Thank you, again.

Hi Robert,
Part of what I'm going through is that now the transiting Uranus is trining my natal Uranus.
As one of the outcomes, is that I want to live on my own terms and not by anyone else's. What might be right for me might not be right for anyone else.
I know that a lot of people have the same transit now.
Care to comment?
Peace,
Helen

Hi Sook - Saturn in your first will put you through a rigor that will leave you able to express and experience much you've never done before. Just keep authoring your closure to old ways of doing your being while it's still in the 12th, and mature in ways that you will leave regretful points of view behind.
Hi Helen - Uranus is trining the Uranus of everyone born between 1952-55, as well as 1976-79, so it's a fairly widespread influence. Everyone gets it at least twice if they live to be old enough. I believe Uranus trine Uranus is that you understand your uniqueness in ways you can express with ease, as well as living on your own terms.

Hello Robert,
This post is just too real! After a year of flux, I have a very odd choice to make that was just presented yesterday. It is soooo important that I choose wisely as the ramfications are truly life-altering in each case.
eeeks!
Juliet :-)

Hi Juliet - Isn't it great to know you're alive? Mecury's Fixed T-square with Saturn and Neptune sextile-trined by Jupiter is an interesting set of energies.

Had thought of getting into an admittedly irrational marriage on Dec 21, 2007 due to the stellium on the Sag/Cap cusp making supportive aspects to both my and my boyfriend's charts...that is, before I read this about it being a Zone of Irrationality, and before experiencing shockwaves in our relationship over the past 2 days.
Any insight into the meaning of the transits we all will experience this Dec 20-24?

Hi tater - That's a long way off. In any case, I probably would not recomend getting married with a just separating Sun conjunct Pluto, and a forming Sun-Mercury opposition Mars, Mars opposed Jupiter, and Venus square Neptune. Part of my professional counseling practice is to find the right day for clients to initiate things like marriage, travel, surgeries, and signing contracts. The coming Winter Solstice may be good for some things, but probably not marriage, unless you're ready for a lot of abrupt changes. The fact that the stellium makes "supportive aspects" may or may not be a good thing, since even if you two are getting along, the external circumstances may be a bit tough to take. And having set that date, it was inevitable that all aspects separating by that date show events between now and then.
