Willie Nelson - A video Happy Birthday to an American Legend and Biodiesel Pioneer
by Robert Wilkinson
I would be most remiss if I didn't take today to wish my Taurus friend Willie Nelson a heartfelt Happy Birthday. I got to know him when I lived in Austin and helped make his "Fourth of July Picnics" a staple of Texas culture and history. This guy is a hero, friend of our farmers and pioneer champion of biofuels (links below the fold). Today we celebrate the 74th birthday of a genuinely great guy, but what else could you expect from a sweet Taurus? Happy Birthday, old friend - may you have many, many, more. Multiple videos below the fold.
Be patient, since it takes a while for these to load. The ads are obnoxious, but short:
On the Road Again - Willie, Waylon, and Kris!
Always On My Mind - from Austin City Limits.
A Song For You - with Leon Russell and Ray Charles!
Definitely visit BioWillieUSA, a great resource to learn more about this important energy innovation, as well as BioWillie, Willie's personal site which includes a video of "May the Circle Be Unbroken," guaranteed to be a treat. A most Happy Birthday to a true American hero!

Hi Dax - Good to hear from you again. I trust you're doing well. That you and Saint Willie have the same birthday would imply that you could be illuminated by his core of light, his work, and purpose. Shine on, sweet Taurus. Be the gentle firm nail that holds many things together in your life and the lives of your loved ones. Who knows? Maybe you'll be the alternative fuels guru of your locality someday!

Hey Robert,
Willie is one my favorites. One of the best concerts that I have ever seen.
I would have loved to spent a night in Luchebach, Texas with Waylon, Willie, and the boys back when, though.
Awesome PBS special-

"And it's hard to explain how I feel
It won't go in words but I know that it's real
I can be moving or I can be still but still is still moving to me
Still is still moving to me"
Happy Birthday, Willie!
