Astrology Stress Zones for June 2007 Pt.2 - Mars stimulating Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces
by Robert Wilkinson
Mars activates and accelerates the pace of events in our lives. People currently going through dynamic activity, a hectic fast-paced period, or those having the hardest time in the first half of June are Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorns born the first two weeks of April, July, October, and January. In the second half of June, this applies to mid and late April Aries and Taurus, mid and late July Cancers and Leos, mid and late October Libras and Scorpios, and mid and late January Capricorns and Aquarius. If you were born in these zones, focus on what constitutes responsible action, given these birth periods show more highly agitated energy than usual.
Mars tests us to get a grip on our energy and shows us how well we are demonstrating self-control or not. Mars is our "fight or flight" principle, and symbolizes what aggravates us, so beware of hasty action, argumentativeness, or impulsiveness. A way to use what I post here is that if you know your chart, examine the effect for the signs in light of planets you have in these signs.
For instance, if you have Mercury between 13 and 30 degrees of a Cardinal sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn), or between 1 and 4 of a Fixed sign (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius), examine the challenges relative to your mind, interpretations, or thinking patterns, as well as other planets influenced by Mercury. If you have Venus in those degrees of Cardinal or Fixed signs, examine what is said in light of your likes and dislikes and other Venus-influenced areas in your chart.
If you have a Cardinal or Fixed sign Mars between those degrees, regard what is stated in the context of Mars-ruled affairs and activities. This shows an important shift in your Mars cycle, so heads up! You can also apply what follows regarding this month if you have an Ascendant (Rising sign) between 13 and 30 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn, or the first 4 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius.
The first half of the month, first half of January Capricorn people are seeing the first emergence of something begun February 2007. This month shows a new life direction or the beginnings of new ways of expressing yourself, so get grounded, and remember that "as the roots, so the flowers." This begins to apply in mid-June to mid-January Capricorns and by June 24 to January Aquarians.
Effort now affects future success. Don't allow hassles or aggravations around the home or with family to put you off, and be a good communicator. You'll get new insights into how you view your early life and family situation. Just try not to get aggravated by neighbors and expect intense activity around the home.
Capricorns need to be less abrupt with family, and be more reasonable, fair, sensitive, caring, idealistic, and balanced. This affects Capricorns way of viewing their home, childhood experiences, parents, as well as friends, goals, ambitions, and sense of larger world service.
In late June, Aquarians also need to be less abrupt with family, and be more loving, playful, creative, focused, and do purification rituals, letting go of outmoded feelings and responses to others' demands. This affects Aquarius' way of viewing their environment, siblings, having people close, how they communicate, as well as their profession and public standing in the world.
In June, April Aries confront the end of a 2-year cycle, so begin anew with an eye to what culminated in February 2007 of the cycle that began July 2005. This month speeds things up, so apply new skills and strengths, and face a future that's already underway. Quickly finish what you need to, realize an old way of life is over, and there is a need for new effort and directions. In late June, this applies to Taurus born at the end of April, and they finish a cycle that culminated in March 2007 of whatever began in August 2005.
Since it continues to be a time of endings and beginnings, embrace the new, get ready for the pace to quicken, and try not to be too blunt, impulsive, abrasive, or leap before you look. This primarily affects It primarily affects Aries in the areas of self-image, the physical body and its instincts, shared values and resources, magnetism, regeneration, and how issues of loss and gain are approached. It affects Taurus in the areas of partnerships, opportunities for greater social effectiveness, karma, motive, and self-undoing behaviors that created sorrow in the past. For each sign these are ending somehow, and a new two year pulse is opening up.
June fulfills an old cycle for Cancer people. This period is one of following through on what's culminating in your public or professional affairs in the cycle that began May 2006. Learn as much as you can, prepare, then be willing to take responsibility, since this is a very high profile time for you. This begins to occur for late July Leos the last week of June.
Cancers are primarily affected in the areas of profession, public standing, honor, self-expression, children, arts, sports, creativity, and play. People of this sign need to stay balanced, reasonable, fair, just, organized, mature, disciplined, do what duty dictates, and take responsibility while not being too focused on controlling that which should not be limited.
The end of June Leos also culminate public and professional affairs in the cycle that began June 2006, and it's also a very high profile time so be responsible. Leos are primarily affected in the areas of truth, travel, philosophy, spirituality, home, family, and ways of relating to early childhood experiences. People of this sign need to stay focused, let of of unnecessary things and feelings, purify, and be detached, friendly, impersonal, and keep in mind the bigger picture of a greater service or set of goals.
During June, October Libras are tested not to get aggravated, sidestep oppositional people, and decrease agitation or impulsiveness while correcting things that began late September or October 2006. The end of June this applies to October Scorpios, and is a shift in the cycle they began in October 2006.
People with these birthdays are moving through a period of tensions in relationships, and have had to shift in how they regard their health, work, or how to serve your world. If this applies to you, detach from relationship dramas that scatter you. Avoid unnecessary confrontations and don’t get hassled by impulsive, abrasive, aggressive or argumentative people.
For Libras and Scorpios in a relationship, it's an intense time for your partner. For Libra, it's also an intense time in partnerships, and areas surfacing include new values, new ways of using your resources, new forms of self expression, and new ways of wanting your equal relationships to be exciting and fresh. This is opening new doors of perceiving and acting with others where you are an equal rather than a follower or reactor to them.
For Scorpios, in late June areas coming to surface include new forms of self image and ways of relating to their physical bodies, as well as new work opportunities, new health regimens, and new ways of relating to those in their service. All Libras and Scorpios should embrace new ways of relating to others, since this time is a breakthrough in your way of being in relationships, and allow others to take the initiative in new ways of expressing themselves. Libras are entering pioneering new interactive territory while Scorpios are finding new forms of self-expression and self-adjustment to practical necessities.
The quincunx effect significantly influences 13 to 18 degrees of Virgo and Scorpio the first week of June, 18 through 23 degrees of Virgo and Scorpio the second week of June, 23 through 30 degrees of Virgo and Scorpio from June 14-23, and 1-4 degrees of Libra and Sagittarius from June 24-30. Quincunxes are associated with physical, emotional, or mental health issues requiring sacrifices and adjustments.
Thus the first week of the month most impacts Virgos born between September 4-10 and Scorpios born between November 4-10. The second week of June most impacts Virgos born September 10-14 and Scorpio born November 10-14. June 14-23 most affects Virgos born between September 14-22 and Scorpios born November 14-22, and June 24-30 most affects Libras born between September 22-28 and Sagittarians born November 22-28.
Through the quincunxes, Virgos and Libras will have sacrifices and adjustments in the areas of loss, regeneration, shared values that will help them learn focus, discrimination, attention to details and procedure. They will learn how to get their magnetism and desires straightened out and eliminate that which cannot be carried into a future already taking shape.
Scorpios and Sagittarians will also have sacrifices and adjustments in the areas of work, health, and those they do service for or who do service for them that will help them learn how to take the initiative, be completely themselves, and act more quickly on whatever needs to be done.
From June 1-4, Aquarians born February 16-18 and Tauruses born May 18-20 are extraordinarily affected by the Mars semisquare to their Suns. June 4-17 primarily affects late February Pisces, and late May Geminis. From June 17-23 Pisceans born March 1-5 and Geminis born June 1-5 are primarily affected, while June 23-30 primarily affects people of these signs born March 5-10 and June 5-10.
The semisquare is a 45 degree aspect indicating internal crises of direction, or a sense that something is beginning to open (or close) with decisions to be made. They show important factors regarding things that are emerging or ending, and offer information about hidden or unconscious influences at work.
For Aquarius and Pisces, new developments and challenges in the cycle that began in April 2007 don't have to be a problem if you become more visionary, adaptable, future oriented, organized and mature in your values and relationship to things and money. Taurus and Gemini people need to end some things they began between mid-February and early March 2006, so capture the harvest and close out what you need to without getting aggravated at friends or the goals that you couldn't fulfill. You're about to enter a fallow period where you'll need to do closure rituals, preparing for a new cycle to come in August 2007.
As I've explained the past three months, sometimes Mars' influence extends far beyond whatever is going on in the sky. Notably, the Mars article from November 2006 offers an insight into why things are changing the way they are:
Since the Mars degree of the recent September 2006 Lunar Eclipse is highly active and was also the exact degree of the Solar Eclipse take note of what is liberating you from a previously "narrow destiny" and hear the call that can help you joyously rise to some larger occasion. Here's an article about the September 2006 Solar Eclipse in terms of its general meaning and effect, while in this article you can find out what it means for each sign specifically. December 2006 and January 2007 mark turning points in the liberation process.
Signposts of future developments connected with 30 Virgo presented themselves in late March-early April 2007, with important points occurring the second and last weeks of May 2007. Expect more definitive developments in September 2007 and December 2007 through early April 2008. June through November 2008 shows Pluto exactly square the degree, Saturn conjunct the point in October 2009 and April through July 2010 opposed by Uranus April 2010 through March 2011, setting up some fairly volatile developments. Escaping from a "narrow destiny" may be destabilizing, but it's also guaranteed to put you and your dharma on track and remind you that life on Earth is one of endless change.
More from the Eclipse article:
In December, Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter all conjuncted... Wherever we have Aries, Gemini, Virgo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Pisces energies, they were fused and renewed in whatever house we have early Sagittarius... a very important area of major focus and attention in the next two years for us. I hope you enjoyed December and January since the wild ride accelerated toward a more amazing vision, freedom, and group involvement than we've known in a long time. Welcome to February through June 2007, the edge of dynamic change!
As I've noted previously, Mars activated the March Lunar Eclipse Sun conjunct North Node position around April 21-22 when it conjuncted that point. This launched the next phase of that eclipse, and the simultaneous triseptile to Saturn triggered an important fork in our destiny helping us dump old social rigidities and find joy in fellowship despite the general tension.
Mars in the Grand Fire Trine in early June will help brighten up all our lives in multiple areas, assisting understanding, harmony, and flow. Use the favorable Mars aspects throughout June to secure your new momentum, allow the fires to burn up old substances and move on to new, and regulate the inflow and outflow of energies to move into a larger destiny and effectiveness. This should be a very productive month, and by the end of June many of us will be firmly securing what we need for further effectiveness in the months to come.

I feel extremely blessed & when I check your site, it reminds me of how even the stars align with me or is it that I align with them. Either way, it reaffirms me. Don't know if you can brielfy tell me about this new adventure I'm about to embark on starting June 7th. My dob is 12/14/78 born a 3:05am L.A.,CA. Hi Robert, Happy Vesak Day, Hope you get what you need this Blue Moon. Thanks for everything.
Posted by: Aditya | May 31, 2007 at 03:00 AM
Hi all - Thanks for your kind words. I appreciate your enthusiasm, and truly pray for the day when the entire world wakes up to "the better angels of our nature" as Lincoln put it. And yes, the adventure has just begun! Now it's about movement, resources, execution of the plan, and enjoying the growth of community. This "Blue Moon" configures fairly beneficially in my chart, so I am looking forward to the promise. Eric, glad you got the job you wanted, and may you have a lot of fun and make enough money that you know you're blessed. You should be having a blast by this October-November.

Robert, what do you think about the distintion between tropical and sideral astrology. For me the rising and sun sign remains same but for most people it changes the sign. I only worked with tropical system until now... Whats the validity of the other system?
I suppose both work with the consideration that the borders between signs are illusory constructs and things are a continuous, so the same will apply with different concepts for each sign and with us having different perspectives what a sign describes...
Posted by: irpsit | May 31, 2007 at 09:50 AM
Hi Irpsit - I only use Tropical, since there are major inconsistencies in Sidereal astrology big enough to drive a truck through. For example, the assertion that it uses the "true" positions of the planets is absurd and easily disproved, though this is not the time and place to go into what's wrong with the system. While it works very accurately in some narrowly defined forms of Vedic practice, I still find (having studied it some decades ago) that I'll stick to Tropical. As for your last sentence, it always intrigued me that the way Vedic astrology defines the traits of certain parts of the signs exactly parallels the Tropical description of the equivalent parts of the next sign, which what you wrote accurately probes.

Is this a Saggitarian full moon I'm seeing out my back door?

Hi carrie ann - Yes it is, and the star next to it is Jupiter!

Ok, I'm new here and I've been reading and learning for about 6 or 7 months. I've had a feeling of things to come for several months in reference to myself and my husband. Death, illness, change, endings and beginnings. Is there anything, please, that you can help me with? Me: 11/16/1966, KC,Mo 11:03pm My husband: 09/22/1966 Smithville,Mo 8:46am Thanks in advance, for your help...
Posted by: Julie K | June 01, 2007 at 12:36 PM
Hi Julie - Glad you decided to post. You may be picking up on the collective angst of our Age in Transition, and the fact that Pluto and/or Uranus has figured in several important lunations, either of which can bring revolutionary changes, and have, if we are to trust the images our news sources present to receive their advertising dollars. 40 turns one inward to seek new forms of compassion and understanding, and forms the seed of all that comes in the 7 year cycle of 42-49.
Try to remember than many things are changing forever in our impermanent reality, and it is up to us to adjust to the conditions, prepare ahead of time to greet what will reveal itself in the future, and above all, get over fear, which is a useless, destructive, self-perpetuating delusion. Everything on our Earth is endings and beginnings, so learn to take a point of view that helps you navigate the changes without clutching or judging or getting hung up in the switches.

Hi carrie ann - Well, only if it involves the 5th and 8th houses and their rulers and is harmonious to your 2nd house and its ruler. ;-)

Hi Robert I am an aquarian born feb 1 1965 at 245am I lost my father last april and I have been having no end of relationship problems. Help! What is going on?
Posted by: cindy | June 02, 2007 at 08:23 PM
Hi Cindy - What you're asking for is way more than can be addressed in a comment stream. Saturn was opposed your Sun and maybe your Moon from Summer 2005 through early Autumn 2006, and has been squaring your Neptune since then. It's also in the Solar house of relationships, forcing a re-defining of how equal or unequal your relationships are. Also you have Uranus opposed your Uranus/Pluto (having rolled over your Saturn 2003-2005), and Saturn is now triseptile your Cap Mercury and Venus, showing you're at multiple important forks in the road re: whatever they rule in your chart, including ideas, perceptions, communications, relationships, and like and dislikes. And of course approaching Saturn opposed Saturn, a time of reconsidering many things in the life relative to what you think your purpose has been, is, or could be.
Posted by: Robert | June 03, 2007 at 10:33 AM
Hi Robert, this is my first time reading your article and I find it very interesting. Although I am not sure how to interpret what was written I am non the less curious as to what it all means. I was born 2/17/76 at 9:09am I am a little familiar with my chart-- the main ones Venus=Capricorn; Mars=Gemini but do not know much about anything else. I have however noticed a something is happening with me and my perception of almost everything central in my life. Could you explain what is happening to me. I have felt like I have been on a roller coaster since the year began and I feel something "stirring in me. Alot is going on with me right now that will most definetly affect my future.
Posted by: Toni Campbell | June 06, 2007 at 02:54 PM
Hi Toni - Welcome. What I mention in this article will affect different people differently. Mars conjuncts your Jupiter this month, triggering a new two year cycle of expansion and opportunity, after which it will square your Venus, bringing challenges. Saturn has stabilized the areas of your life associated with Mars and Jupiter, while its opposition to your Sun has helped you drop obsolete duties, rules, and limitations, freeing you to be more heartfelt and powerful in your relations. You've just begun a 10 year rise to power and prominence. Jupiter and Uranus will bring you major harmony and understanding these next two years.

Robert, or anyone...
Have you noticed any parallels between the skies..and the HOPI prophecy?
Posted by: Martha | June 26, 2007 at 02:05 PM
Hi Martha - Well, I'm not as familiar with the Hopi prophesy as I should be I suppose. If you can give some specifics then we might have a comment stream feast!
