All Pluto touches goes through long term radical transformation. It can feel dark and mysterious, and at times very threatening. It is the embodiment of Bob Dylan's famous line, "And you know something's happening here but you don't know what it is, do you, Mister Jones?" Pluto symbolizes Transpersonal Transfiguration, and purifies all it touches by annihilating obsolete forms. That's why it is such a constantly overwhelming sense of something impending, usually a feeling of "doom," where we know we have a journey to make through an unknown zone unable to see what's on the other side.
The lower ego is shown by the 7 inner planets. Ego is usually threatened by the disturbing and sometimes overwhelming feelings arising in the face of an impending annihilation of something in our life. This is a natural egoic response to that which is beyond its comprehension. The lower ego is always threatened to some degree when it feels something must pass, since it defines itself by what it believes it knows and can control.
When confronted by that which is beyond its control, ego often reacts in fear, anger, and explosive behavior. Pluto is the "Cosmic Cop" who busts the illusions, attachments, and aversions of all it touches. It is beyond ego, and therefore terrifying in its absolute authority to clean the decks of obsolete detritus of past life involvements. Pluto is the "Lord of the Underworld," and when we learn that the dark places are the best opportunities to shine our Divine Light to clear out fear, then the stay in the underworld is not quite as scary as it used to be.
When it conjuncts any planet in our chart, its influence works to purify that planet so that we can live a new form of that planetary energy. It's a very long range and long term influence, so learn to relax a little, or a lot, so you don't go over the edge with the constant pressure. It's not something that happens in a day, though at times something will happen on a given day triggered by another planet that releases the Plutonic influence.
So if you have a Sun in late Sag, your light/life is being purified to its core through long-term pressure. It has been for awhile, and will be for another while. You will survive, but your future may not look much like your past. Its influence also can work through a Plutonic person who enters your life and changes it forever. As I have Pluto rising, often that symbolizes my influence in people's lives.
If you have a Moon in late Sag, your feelings, habits, and sense of day to day experience are under enormous long term pressure and something personal is being changed forever. Try to breathe easy as your feeling are changed over time. If you have Mercury in late Sag, your mind, interpretations, and how you coordinate your life is transforming radically. Your understanding is getting much deeper, but beware of negative or extreme thoughts.
If your Venus is in late Sag, your relationships, values, resources, likes, dislikes, and vanities are being purified of obsolete attachments. Expect to have to drop some explosive or extreme people in your life. This time will take away everything you no longer need in the way of material possessions, and force you to confront resistances around what you're learning about holding on to things.
If your Mars is in late Sag, be careful! You may want to fight when non-resistance or even flight may be the better plan. Beware of dishonest, coercive, or extreme actions, and especially people who you feel cannot be trusted. This aspect could indicate a total spiritual transformation in how you do your Being, or a meltdown if you're missing the point regarding desire and "right action."
Pluto conjunct Jupiter can bring a total Spiritual transfiguration, opening the imagination to things beyond its previous scope. Though it can represent a dishonest "opportunity," or even a complete annihilation of some future that we hope for, it also can bring Divine help and protection from unknown or hidden sources beyond the control of either party. It's usually a time of dramatic change in one's philosophy or sense of spirituality.
Pluto conjunct your Saturn is "the big enchilada." This is a total transformation of one's security systems, sense of purpose, or what you know your responsibilites are or are not. It is different than Saturn conjunct Pluto, which is the crystalization of a form of Pluto. Pluto on Saturn is the stripping down to the core of every way we're expressing Saturn in our lives. For some, a liberation from physical, emotional, or mental slavery through forces beyond anyone's control, or a higher authority asserting that your bondage is done forever.
I cannot be specific regarding the timing of when Pluto conjuncted the inner planets, since that's more in the realm of personal readings. But I can give the birth times when Pluto is conjunct Jupiter. This conjunct now affects everyone born Nov-Dec 1924, April and November 1936, March through early June 1948, late October and November 1948, February, June-July, and September-October 1960, Jan-Feb 1972, July through Sept 1972, Dec 1983-Jan 1984, and December 1995.
Pluto is conjunct the Saturn of everyone born January through July 1929, Oct-Nov 1929, Mar-May 1958, November 1958 through early January 1959, August-September 1959 (Saturn at 1 Cap!), December 1987 through Feb 1988, and June through November 1988. Everyone born in these periods are no doubt going through some of the most radical changes imaginable, so go for the highest spiritual intention and purpose, let go of all that you've fulfilled, and breathe easy as you move into unknown realms purified of obsolete limitations.
On a final note, a special nod to those with Uranus or Neptune in Sag, since your lives have become a miracle of radical transformation by and through forces beyond individual control. Enjoy the ride, since there's really nothing else to do. If you have Uranus in late Sag or the first degrees of Capricorn, be the unique expression of your individuality stripped of needless eccentricity, nervousness, or willfulness. This applies to those born January through June 1987 and November 1987 through December 1988.
If your Neptune is there, purify your focus within the collective, get clear about your larger ideals, and drop strange notions that lead to uncertainty or dread. This applies to those born Jan-July 1982, November 1982 through Feb 1984, and June-December 1984.
In any case, when touched by Pluto you are given the chance to eliminate all that you don't want to sprout from that planet in the following years. After a Pluto transit you definitely feel like your life has been swept clean of some things forever, leaving you a new field to plant, a new tapestry of personality where you can paint a new picture of that part of your being, and a renewed sense of your connectedness with the Divine process of total and complete transformation leading to higher realms.

Hi AceStar - Sounds like you and your friends are going through the pressure cooker and coming out golden! I suspect you're seeing people and things in a deeper way than before, and getting your magnetism straightened out regarding those people and things that attract you. Saturn in Leo is definitely stabilizing your Sag and Libra, and Jupiter in Sag is expanding your horizons radically. Get a plan, don't overdo it, and pay attention to details. See the highest and widest vision, free yourself from what the Prophet Bob Marley called "mental slavery," and get ready to grow in even more amazing ways beginning August. Until then, enjoy the bounces leading to realization!

Thank you Robert.
You know I have my Saturn at 28 Sagg. I truely have been going through an intense year, I think in retrospect that I really started the purification last year '06 around Feb-May, Uranus moving through my 7th house rocking my world too. I am wondering about the one-two punch effect, as Pluto will be soon encroaching upon my sun at 4 Capricorn. I am in grad school, and changing my life in mid life, after a spiritual awakening involing cancer (the disease not the sign!) in May 1998. Where was Pluto then? (Do you know of a decent on-line Ephemeris?)
I am aware that my 19 yr old son, Christopher, born on my Saturn return, with Uranus conjunct his Saturn (born 1-9-88) is also being impacted by all this, and getting slammed hard. For him, I think that its been all about submitting to authority, rebelliosness and finding self discipline, (all teen issues) but really hard for a kid with Pluto trasitting Uranus conj Saturn. BTW, he did get into a college, a state school, but so late he couldn't get a dorm, so had to commute 3 hours each way by train and miles of walking each day, and then ended up skipping so much he was put on acedemic probation. He got a dorm the second semester. He comes home tommorow. His ego has taken a real beating and toward low self esteem, not humility. I hope his grades were OK this semester and that he can stay in college. Is this the process by which he learns to deal with authority, and gains self-discipline?
I feel like the influence of Pluto was worse as it encroached, like 2 degrees before it hit. It feels easier now. My son seems less depressed now, so do I. Is this typical?
Sorry if I'm asking too many questions. I would like to get a reading if and when I can afford it.
Tamara

Robert what about if your ascendant is conjunct Pluto, which my husbands currently going through.
As usual I love to read your pages everyday they are a real joy to learn from.
Thank you

Hi Tamara - You're going through a long term purification of your life/light. I don't know of any decent online ephemerides, but there must be a site somewhere. Let me know if you find one. Pluto was 10 Sag in May 1998. And your Son is learning that there are things outside of his control. Glad he's at least part way through his ordeal of figuring out self-discipline is better than having it imposed upon you by a draconian system that really doesn't care a whit about what we feel about it. The Pluto sensation waxes and wanes depending on other planets stimulating our sensitivities.
Hi manth - Glad you like the column. I assume you mean Pluto is conjunct his Ascendant in late Sag. The only way his Asc could conjunct Pluto is by progression. Pluto conjunct one's Asc means he's purifying his self image and physical body (or needs to). He should be careful to avoid physical extremes as he transforms himself. Definitely avoid dangerous people and situations. Of course, it can also mean a complete and total spiritual transformation that sets his self-awareness on a purified path to higher consciousness.

One online Ephemeris is at Astrodienst. Based in Switzerland but the material is available in English. They note "These printable ephemeris files were created from the Swiss Ephemeris library". I recall that is also the source of some printed ephemeris... which is no guarantee per se of their quality. Robert can you comment? The URL is http://www.astro.com/swisseph/swepha_e.htm
Robert, I have Vertex at 29 Sag 05. I know Vertex is an asteroid not a planet. But will I notice some Pluto influence? Thanks.

Tamara,
Here is an ephemerides site you can check out. It's been a big help to me.
http://www.zodiacal.com/ephemerides/
Dear Robert,
Thanks for your helpful remarks about Pluto. I just want to share my recent experience. Pluto is almost on top of my Mars (0 degrees of Cap) in my 11th house of friendships, also opposing my Moon. I've just had a pretty bad falling out with a girl friend, which I knew was going to happen. She's toxic, a angry, troubled soul. I'm letting her go, with forgiveness, and frankly it's a relief. Feels like death, but since this happened I feel like reborn. It feels very Plutonian. Also she has Venus/Merc in 29 of Gemini, so Pluto is affecting her too.
How about THAT for Pluto?
Valerie

Thanks for the Ephemeris links PK and Valerie. A site I like to use, you gotta log in get a user name and password,
http://www.cosmictiming.com/
You can set up your birth chart and family and friends too, and get daily readings (very computer generated, basic)but there is a tab for "todays chart" seeing the wheel of the current planetary positions helps me visualize what Robert is talking about a whole lot better.
Robert, in '98 if Pluto was at 10 degrees Sagg, that was verging on a conjunction with my Mercury at 12 Sagg.(But the Ephemeris site I just checked said it was only at 7 Sagg then?)
I think the cancer might have had more to do with Uranus conj my Chiron at that time.
I have Pluto at 4 Virgo, and my Asc is 5 Virgo, so its conj. my asc all the time (although, is it kind of hidden as its in the 12th house?) Does this mean that I live with the stuff you said above about Pluto conj. Asc? (And you too, I think you said you have Pluto on Asc, but in your case in the 1st house? So its more out in the open for you that your life is about spiritual transformation?

Hello Robert,
Thank you for a wonderfully enlightening site. I have Mars in early Sag, but am in the midst of a long-term influence of Pluto squaring both my Sun and Moon (both in late Pisces)...It feels like spiritual transformation, but how to take this experience and make it count for something tangible/concrete in this physical realm? I have such a desire to serve humanity in a healing way on a large level, but continuously feel like I'm going through a ringer!...
Blessings.

Hi Robert, once again love your articles!! I just have a quick question - my DOB is 8/30/66 which is a Virgo sun @ 6 degrees and i also have Pluto at 17 degress Virgo on my natal. I have a pisces moon @ 3 degrees/ Scorpio rising - I was just curious how this Pluto transit may be effecting me...I have been going through some major transformation since 2004 and starting to feel like I may be coming up out of that (at least hoping) ;o) - Thank for any info you can provide - Blessings

Hi PK - Thanks for the ephemeris source. Astrodienst is usually a fairly reliable source. As for the Vertex, it is the intersection of the ecliptic and the prime meridian, not an asteroid. It is said to have something to do with "fate" (along with the anti-vertex) but I've always taken the stance that anything can be called anything, and it ALL has something to do with "fate" to a greater or lesser degree if it has to do with our decision-making process.
Hi Valerie - Thanks for the ephemeris source. You hit the Plutonic nail on the head when you speak of letting go of someone who is "toxic, angry...." That's exactly what Pluto brings forth for our purification! And it is a death of sorts, where we come out "reborn" to embrace less toxic relationships.
Hi Tamara - It's the trifecta of ephemeris links, so thanks to you as well! Some of the commercial sites that offer free chart computations are good if you don't have (or cannot afford!) a program. Pluto was between 7 and 9 Sag from Jan through late June 98, was at 6 Sag from late June through early October, and 7-10 from Oct-December. Yes, we with Pluto conjunct the Asc, whether in the 12th or 1st, live with the Lord of the Underworld, and sometimes are seen that way by others! ;-) Just remember that the 12th is above the horizon, so in many ways more public than in the 1st. I've assumed that my "out in the open" spiritual life is more my Sun-Mars in the 9th conjunct Mercury exactly on the MC in the 10th, with Sun trine Asc-Pluto, Mars trine Pluto tredecile Asc, and Mercury tredecile Pluto biseptile Asc.
Hi Tony - Your Sun/Moon are directly under the influence of the recent Solar eclipse so check out the articles on that. Pluto are the seeds that are left after the clearing of the old field. You're here to be a "priest-healer" presiding over endings, guiding self and others through uncertain times into new ways and lives. Just beware of getting distracted or fogged by the collective unconscious, which at times is a very polluted soup. When you can navigate through the fog, then you'll do some great work. You should find yourself doing good service as Uranus gets closer to your Sun/Moon, and Jupiter opens you next year. Just remember that Saturn square Mars forces us to deal with residual anger and refocus its energy into more productive realms. Be a good juggler, take care of details, and prepare for a symbolic "internship" beginning later this year.
Hi Lori L. - You should look to the Lunar eclipses of the past year for clarity, since they directly affected your Pluto. Also transiting Uranus. Your life will me highly impacted by Saturn's entry into Virgo, where you'll find a long term responsibility while also dropping old sentimentalities and habits so you can take care of yourself and others more effectively. Learn to let go of old sorrows and memories more easily, and accept that you have a whole new view coming. Major things are on the way for you soon.

Hi Robert,
Im grateful for your site, I have learned alot, and connected with others who are expierencing things that I am in the midst of. I am interested in the Pluto 2 article, my saturn sits at 4 Cap, in the 3rd house...15 nov 1959, 3:22am Tarrytown NY westchester co....and currently through end of June...saturn is conjunct my uranus/effecting the Saturn/neptune Opp.....you said people affected are by pluto conjucting there saturn currently were Aug-sept-1959.....I am starting to "feel" be able to Speak more....somthing that has always been very hard...and many dreams have shown that coming....am I feeling this now as Pluto (Im Scorpio) is at the galactic center?....or is pluto close enough to my saturn...(Im just beginning I know, I have been shown in dreams, that the "Tiger within-inner power that I have kept hidden-contained"....comes forth once I "let go" of fear of speaking-communicating....
Once again, I am very grateful for your site, and the ability to "share-be open" with others traveling the same/alternate path.
namaste....

Robert,
Just wondering, looking back trying to make sense of things in the past, with an eye to the Astrological transits effects, when Pluto was trasnsiting the middle degrees of Sagg, it set off a whole lot of planets in my chart by aspect. Uranus at 15 Leo, Mercury 12 Sagg, Moon 15 Cancer, Venus 15 Cap, Mars 16 Taurus. Your article above, mostly relates to direct conjunction as the aspect, whats the difference if there are different aspects? Nuances? But what if so many planets are involved? My spiritual teacher was going through the transit of Pluto to her ascendant around that time, she was going through a profound awakening, and I attributed the fire I experienced as the effect of being with her, it was a hugely transformational period, but I wonder how much of what I experienced was the result of Pluto aspecting so many planets in my chart? (And of course, I just had the experience of Uranus transiting those middle degrees again!)
And next, when Pluto goes through the early degrees of Capricorn will aspect my Asc 4 Virgo, Pluto 5 Virgo and Neptune at 6 Scorpio and sun 4 Capricorn. Can you speak to these cluster hits by aspect when Pluto transits?
Thinking as I write, how often does Pluto transit the middle degrees? Did you say every 30 years, or so depending on where it is?
Posted by: Tamara | May 16, 2007 at 09:47 AM
Hi WHR - You're now able to see/know/speak due to Uranus trine your Mars and Jupiter conjunct your Jupiter. Saturn will not conjunct your Pluto until September, and Pluto will not conjunct your Saturn until 2008. Each of these will unleash power.
Hi Tamara - What you ask for could fill two books. There are trines, Yods, and other things all of which mean their own thing, then how they interact is beyond anything that can be written about in an brief manner. Your teacher at the time embodied your Pluto, so it was both you and her and more all at once. There will be understanding when Pluto dances with your Asc, Sun, Nep, and PL. Pluto hits the middle degrees of signs at different points in its orbit, and where it does so depends on its relative speed.
Posted by: Robert | May 16, 2007 at 11:15 AM
Hi Robert, I'm going through that Pluto conjunct Moon (27 Sag.), as Pluto started to retrograde matters exacerbated again, the same problems are resurfacing, bringing with them other elements to be reworked. It's been extremely acute and dangerous. Security at all levels of my existence and my family's as well has been constantly threatened. Sometimes I wonder if there'll be anything left at all, it does feel like the end of the world. Just about any issue that's related with home, security and a sense of belonging, has been demolished. Do you think there could be a chance of rebuilding when of Pluto's third and last passage?
Posted by: Alix | May 16, 2007 at 05:47 PM
Hi Robert... I have been musing on the Phoenix.... hmmmmm....heavy jelly, no? Lol... having experienced the laser ray blast of Pluto conjuncting every point and planet (save Jupiter, NN, Uranus) natally all my life, and Scorpio moon/sun on cusp, no stranger to the depths...... what is your take on transiting Pluto in opposition to natal Pluto, the latter being in Leo (: in the 12th, opp. it's own house?
With Love, Diana } -----
Posted by: DianatheHuntress | May 16, 2007 at 06:15 PM
Hi Alix - By the third and last passage, the journey will be fulfilled, and everything else after that are the echoes of memories of perceptions of memories of perceptions of... And there's always a chance to rebuild on what's left over, since that is more permanent than what's been spun off. Pluto shows us all the razor's edge.
Hi Diana - Pluto will not be opposed our Pluto until some years from now. If I live long enough, I promise to address it at some point in the future. ;-)
Posted by: Robert | May 16, 2007 at 08:20 PM
Right....got a bit too far ahead there...lol... actually had a couple of tracks going and meant to ask about Pluto transiting the house of natal Pluto's sign... a waxing quincunx of trans. Pluto to the natal in my own chart (?).....
Thanks Robert...

Hi Robert,
After I read this article, I found several more about Pluto transits. Pluto transited my natal sun in early Sagg seven years ago. I got a divorce, then had an affair that changed me forever and spent many nights crying when I didn't know why. Pluto then went on to conjunct my ascendent at 11 Sagg. I didn't handle it with all the grace some of these other writers have. Soon, Pluto will transit my Jupiter in Capricorn and venus in Cap. Frankly I'm very afraid. There's been so much change and loss in my life, I'm not sure I can handle more. I hope I can see the good side like you and so many others that write to you.
Posted by: toni | May 17, 2007 at 02:55 AM
Hi again, Robert. But I know it's not the planets, it's me. Maybe if I can go through this constructively it won't be such a destructive force
Posted by: toni | May 17, 2007 at 05:35 AM
Hi Diana - Pluto is nothing personal, though it has far reaching personal effects. A quincunx shows adjustments, and PL quincunx PL is basically a shift in your response to it. It's too large an influence to get into personal possibilities. And "Pluto transiting the house of natal Pluto's sign" is not relevant except as a long range stand-alone influence, i.e., if you have Pluto in Cancer, that is its own natal influence, whereas Pluto in the 4th has its own transiting influence with little or no relationship with the fact that one has Pluto in Cancer.
Hi toni - First, last, and always - stop fearing. Glad you know Pluto doesn't "make" things happen. It is we who are acting, reacting, or being acted upon. Either by worldly forces, which we have some control over, or by "acts of God," like earthquakes and tsunamis, which we can only respond to as best as we're able. Pluto transits are never easy, despite how we describe them after the fact. Again, stop fearing. Pluto can bring most excellent results if we are concentrating on bringing forth our highest self, regardless of what that looks like. We've all had a lot of change and loss in our lives. Welcome to life in the 20-21st centuries. Other centuries too. You CAN go through it constructively despite the changes it signifies. And if you prepare to purify whatever you need to, and gladly stop holding on to obsolete actions, feelings, and thoughts, you will be shown the way to your Highest Self. Guaranteed. Follow "the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha," and you'll find refuges from illusion, and by practicing a measure of detachment, dispassion, discrimination, and generation of goodwill, you'll find many old fears and hinderances fall away easily.

Hi Robert!
I've been reading both posts and I am wondering what the focus is for Pluto 28 degrees Sagg conjunct natal Chiron 1 degree Capricorn. Sounds pretty intense to me. Also moving close to venus/MC/Uranus conjuntion in Cancer.
Jennifer here 5/24/51. Thanks as always.

Hello Robert,
Very interesting about Pluto. My mother died a few years ago. Pluto was exactly on her Saturn when she passed.
Pluto will be coming to meet my Jupiter and Sun (0 degrees Libra and 3 degrees Capricorn) very soon... I've had it pass over my Moon at twenty years old, cross my Ascendant at 30 years old, go through my Venus and Saturn at age 40, and now at 50 here comes the freight train once again! An astrologer told me to expect some kind of distinction, one that could include my own death -- now wouldn't that be something!
Posted by: Amy | May 17, 2007 at 05:04 PM
Hi Jennifer - Pluto will sprout the seeds of your "wounded healer" and master of logic and esoteric information beginning later this year. I suspect you're going to do quite well by riding the waves of adaptability, something you're suited to do. Mars in Taurus should nail some things down re: your Venus/Uranus. Mercury RX followed by Mars RX will boost your Cancer to the max, especially this Summer and November!
Hi Amy - First let me express my condolences for the loss of your mom. Her death time shows she had to release the old form. That astrologer was ethically challenged for suggesting you would die when Pluto conjuncted your Sun. Better to affirm a complete spiritual transformation where you get lots of time to do good service for your world as a result of your radical purification! Yes it's a heavy time, but there are many forms of death, and some are more delightful than others, leaving us free to live our joy and wisdom in this world. Spirit never takes us until we refuse or are unable to learn or do anything else in the way of altruistic service. It's remarkably economical that way.

Hi Robert
I love how you say "first, last and always, stop fearing". I love reading people's posting for direct examples of ways we can experience things, and i just wanted to say what has happened to me which i think (as well as a squillion other transits) has a lot to do with pluto. It is right in my seventh house neptune, and has been for a couple of years. I've always known i saw relationships 'differently', sag likes a lot of space and is very idealistic - that's me about relationships! But exactly a year ago (well, a few weeks ago) i met my neptunian twin, who also has neptune in sag, different house, but we both have what everyone else we'd ever met had termed unrealistic or fantastical expectations of relationships - ie. all or niothing - spiritual love or nothing at all, and a love where we could grow, be ourselves, but nothing short of Divine. The relationship has asked that i let go of every previous 'conception', what i'd heard my whole life etc, and It has been odd, like a death of my old life, my old expectations (which were pretty low) of relationships, but in the most dreamy, beautiful, unreal kind of way. So i just wanted to offer people hope - i got the Tower tarot card in the 7th house last year and this relationship has seen me change so much so quickly, but in a skin shedding kind of way not an unnatural way - it's just made me more of who i always was, deep down. Am i making sense?! Anyway i couldn't have experienced the dreamy divine highs unless i'd gulped and dared to dream, and if your readers can take that - wherever Pluto touches, we needn't fear, we have to gulp and jump into the unexpected, let go and surrender, then the dreams really do come true. And just like the extreme 'stripping away' PLuto does to us, he helps us rebuild more authentically, more beautifully.
Hope that perspective helps.
Blessings.

Hi Neptune's Pluto - It's great you got to experience the extraordinary transformation that can happen when Pluto touches our lives! As one with Neptune in the Solar 7th (it's true how you describe it) I experienced Pluto conjunct my Neptune in the late 70s and 1980. It was a time of idealism in love and all my relations, where I was part of an amazing group of truth seeking souls who strived to relate to themselves and each other in ways transcending the usual negotiated push-pull and coercions. The experience of relating on such a high level to others has stayed with me to this day, and forms the basis of my attitude about this site. Of course, some don't experience it in its highest form, as there are purifications to be done. That's when we "gulp," do what we must, and continue to dare to dream. Eventually the dross is stripped away, leaving us with a purified life in which we can cultivate better gardens.
Posted by: Robert | May 18, 2007 at 07:22 AM
Wow, that's so true, this site is truly something Neptune in the seventh (purified by PLuto) would concoct. There is nothing materialistic, selfish or superficial about this site. It is the best use of that seeing the interconnectedness of us all and trying to achieve a 'higher plan' connection than popular culture (ie. Big Brother, let's get drunk on Friday night at the local Pub, i'll give you my business card if you can give me something in return) type culture would ever imagine.
Thank you again, i hope you know how appreciated and inspiring it all is.
Blessings

Hi Neptune's Pluto - Yew betcha, as "they" say in Texas. And I, like all of us, appreciate gratitude. It is said the Soul thrives through veneration, respect, and appreciation. Since I prefer to address everyone here as the Eternal Being they are rather than that which is impermanent, I'm glad you and others find what is offered here as inspiring. May you and everyone who reads this also go on to find a place of universal service you do willingly and gladly where you also find appreciation.

Hi Robert, excelent articles!
I have Neptune 25ºSag, Sun at 26ºSag and Mercury at 29ºSag.
Basically I had an intense last year where the core of my personality was reversed upside down. I felt my life mission partially uncovered (Sun). My ideals and spirituality was also transformed (Neptune)
It was a dense slow year, and I even was close several times to the death archetype, yes was Pluto waving me "Hi!, I am here! May you discover this!", with strange acidents and illnesses, thankfully no death, through others.
Since my ideals were changed, I tought for three times to quit my job (I didnt since destiny was preparing me for that, destroying my fears but then It said "its not yet") (three times, three exact conjunctions). I entered a new relationship, much more meaningful, since the last. But now I am again feeling a almost fourth contact, and process of quiting is moved forward as I have uncovered a all new way of possible future life (yes, completely new, like moving also countryside from a city). But signs say almost but not yet there.
Now its Pluto-Mercury, peaking really in 2008, I wander will I really quit? I am in reality just wanting to pause my old job (a PhD) but I ask will I quit after? After all, Pluto Mercury will work either I stayed (final year of dense unwanted PhD) or either I quit (since I would move, daily life and communication, and those mercurian things would also change (like volunteering work, start a project of writting a book!). What do you think and advise me on this Robert?
Pluto will also square Mars at same time next year, here i feared since there are possible legal issues if i quit the PhD at this stage (it is just a possibility not a certain thing)
I dont know if I am trying to control things from a ego point or really from the soul plan. Am I illuded herein?
What would you guess?
Have a look at my website on astrologicaltransits.blogspot.com ! I have some experiences written there!
Thank you a lot!

Hi Irpsit - First, let me say that you're asking for important answers which cannot be adequately addressed in a comment stream. That said, with your natal planets, no doubt Pluto has taken you to the other side and then some! You've been purified in ways I'm sure you couldn't imagine several years ago, and yes, density and pressure are two descriptors of Pluto's influence. What you describe about the "three times passing" is absolutely accurate in how the process works. Jobs, relationships, etc., all go through changes, and sometimes you're still left with what you started with, just cleaned out and up. Definitely a sense of new ways of a possible future life.
You'll quit if/when a definitive mission calls you. Open to that, and stop worrying in the meantime. I believe you should stay as long as you need to while preparing for movement into dharma, which never shows up in an insignificant manner. Again, stay until you're called, especially if it could get complicated in any legal fashion. Relax into the long term process and enjoy anticipating what is on the way. You can write where you are. Will check out the website when I can.

Robert,
Just wanted to say that I found an old Astrology book I've had a long time, it has an Ephemeris in the back. I'm blown away looking at the transits of Pluto, just checking to see when it passed through the degrees that made it aspect to either my cluster of planets in the middle degrees or the early single digit degrees. The first time it pased through the middle degrees was the year when I was 5 turning 6, when I was taken from my mom, put in a state institution, then foster homes, then adopted and had the first of some amazing spiritual experiences. I checked, it hit the early degrees when I was in my freshman year in high school that was when it aspected my neptune, my sun trine natal pluto/ascendent. I re-invented myself, it was a total transformation of my body and persona. I could go on, I'm trying to discern the nature of the changes as it passed through the middle vs. early degrees. Each phase correlates to a period of significant change in my life. I thought by looking back I could figure out better what to expect looking forward, but no.
I have been told that having Pluto conj. asc, trined to sun, that I will live a life of constant transformation. It looks like the movement of Pluto and its action as it aspects my planet clusters rythmically is part of how that happens.

Hi Tamara - Amazing that you actually found an "old Astrology book" with an ephemeris that included Pluto! Of course, studying the long range effects of Pluto transits to the natal can yield valuable insights into how "the lord of the underworld" and purifier of all that is, the limitless pillar of Fire that is Shiva, works its transformational process across time. Of course, since we never experience a complete Pluto cycle in any one life, we cannot extrapolate the future from the past, in terms of how the Transpersonal planets work. Even if we get through a Uranus cycle, we're a bit old to do much more than coast to the finish line.
I have a Sun in the 9th trine Pluto rising. Yes to the constant transformation, but isn't that true for everyone? I suspect our configuration just makes us more aware of the moment-to-moment process, since Sun trine Pluto is comfortable with going deeply into experiencing life in the present and living it to its fullest capacity. Pluto rising is always a "distant mystery," even to oneself, and being a catalytic reagent for all other lives that touch ours sometimes leads to difficult experiences when the process is done and we must move on, having done our purification work in their lives. You're definitely a seed carrier of the highest order.
Hi Irpsit - Welcome to the site, and thanks for your compliment. Enjoy looking through the archives, since there are many articles I've done over the years that are still relevant and useful for any truth seeking Soul.
