This week continues to fulfill the prductivity promised by the 26 Taurus New Moon brought to surface by the Blue Full Moon at 11 Sagittarius-Gemini. Like last week, trust your body wisdom and get it in gear, since the Fire trine can give wings to what we've been working toward since March. Open to new vistas of concrete development while taking care of details, since the Mutable Solar T-Square can help us confront neglected inner power and spur us toward cooperative activities that synthesize a lot of what we've been striving for up to now.
This is the last week of being under the influence of the Fixed T-squares that have been happening every few months for two years. When the next New Moon happens at 24 Gemini on June 14 at 8:13 pm PDT (June 15 everywhere east of New York and Miami) we will have no more Fixed T-square Lunations except for the Blue Full Moon of the Eastern Hemisphere on July 29, 5:48 pm PDT, falling at 7 Aquarius-Leo.
The T-square at that time will involve Mars in late Taurus squaring Saturn opposition Neptune, and is the last in the series involving Saturn. Expect radical new developments to stem from that lunation, where we will see what is permanent and what is springing forth from Cosmos Itself. After that, there will be no more Fixed T-square lunations until the Full Moon of November 2008.
To take one last look back on the current Taurus New Moon influence, it fell at 26 Taurus, a point of "seeing the appearance of the beloved on the balcony" if we have defined our specific role, function, and imagery precisely up to now. It was quincunx Pluto and sextile Mars, showing adjustments and sacrifices yielding productive action toward our intended future. The lunation square to the Saturn-Neptune opposition shows we're purifying, cleaning out, and getting our magnetism focused.
These past Fixed T-squares involving Saturn and Neptune were triggered every time the Moon was in Taurus or Scorpio, teaching us how to act appropriately. Saturn opposed Neptune was exact from mid-February through mid-March 2007, and is again exact from now through mid-July 2007. Every time the Moon triggers this effect it reminds us of strengths we've cultivated from breaking up old patterns the past 18 months. As I've noted in the past, these squares:
... for the most part 1) broke some things up forever, 2) challenged us see what to clear out, 3) made us evaluate what to "put on the shelf for the future," and 4) opened up solid paths of personal, social, and spiritual development associated with things, heart, magnetism, ambition, and idealism. We were all challenged to one or more of the following: persevere despite difficulties, cut our losses when blocked by intransigent obstructionists, stabilize what which was unstable, or break apart that which was stuck in the mud.
Any square to the Saturn opposition Neptune shows us how to release important Fire energies through Saturn, offering us a chance to transcend old limitations and generate new heart power and brought important questions to the forefront for all of us. What is our message? Where is our heart's interest? Where is our play, our creativity, our enthusiasm, our spontaneity, our pleasure? These can show us the way to our higher purpose.
The Moon will be in Taurus on June 12, triggering the T-square through June 13. As I've noted in previous articles concerning the last Lunation:
... Though T-squares are usually considered a negative and frictional influence, the ones we've just been through were chances to purify and drop old ways to create space for more appropriate efforts now. We've shifted magnetism, letting go so we can attract the assets, resources or values will support our next outreach. That has meant a shift in both perception and action.
These T-squares burst things wide open... the Sun illuminates and vitalizes what needs to become part of our life experience. Since the Taurus energies sextile and quintile Uranus, renovate, revolutionize things, and go for the unique, unusual, or innovative. We've opened a Neptune cycle while fulfilling the old Saturn cycle started Summer 2006... Recent weeks brought many major decisions breaking old deadlocks, ambivalence, or procrastination. It's been a great time for accepting greater responsibilities and duties and leaving lesser concerns behind. We can achieve clarity around roles we want to play, overcoming any hesitation around doing what we must to make some new way of being real.
We've solidified many things even as we've turned a big corner... and had opportunities to see what's been jamming our gears in relationships, and what we needed to end while embracing actions and attitudes that will bring us results we want in the future. Due to the on-going Jupiter square Uranus we've also had a sensation like something very BIG is coming. Welcome to the NOW!
As I've explained before, though squares are usually associated with difficulty, they mark important points where we shift direction, breaking free of old ideas about who we used to be. When we confront squares and oppositions we are shown ways to reorient to find the balance and turn the corner in crucial areas. Squares are either the emergence of something (waxing square) or the fulfillment and culmination of a process (waning square), while oppositions bring forth awareness. These times are not necessarily great for launching new things, but they can be great at moving things forward that have already been planned in the past.
Saturn opposition Neptune is behind the tension of the gap between ideal and reality, the theoretical and the practical. Continue not allowing nerves, temperament, or unexpected diversions to cause sideways explosions result in messing up perfectly good opportunities. Get oriented, get your drive in gear, open your vision and understanding, and be compassionate while bringing closure to old life movies.
This week the BIG news is the Solar Mutable T-square with Jupiter and Uranus, which will be very powerful in releasing the promise of Jupiter in Sagittarius. There will be major "karmic confrontations," where we are challenged to renew our power, our inner knowing, and be educated through direct action. The mature can teach the young, we can examine our inertias, and find renewed encouragement that can stimulate accomplishment, especially in group activities that build group consciousness through friendly competitions.
This will be particularly powerful June 8 when the Moon in Pisces conjuncts Uranus just before the Sun squares Uranus. This will add power to the individualizing, revolutionary promise the on-going square between Jupiter and Uranus. The main challenge of June 8-10 will be to act rather than make excuses, find inner values which life will consistently reward, rise to some urgency or emergency, develop your social intuition, and be wholehearted in pursuing the goals that really matter to you.
The Solar Mutable T-square will throw energies into Virgo. Be practical, take care of details, and be of service however it's appropriate. There's more about the larger Jupiter square Uranus at The Astrology of 2007 - The Outer Planets - Eruptions, Disruptions, Understanding, Openings and Abundance, the Movement Toward A Promise as well as Astrology Now in April-May-June 2007 - Jupiter square Uranus, Saturn opposition Neptune.
Of course, the recent Blue Full Moon in Sag squared Uranus, trined Mars, and conjuncted Jupiter while quintile Neptune and tredecile Saturn. This is productive of a uniquely creative energy, with lots of gifts and unusual circumstances that should turn out satisfactory for all involved. The Full Moon square Uranus releases the energies built through the trine and quintile series aspects into Virgo, stimulated by the Solar T-square this week.
Get things ordered in terms of priorities, and open to new possibilities of concrete development and wider parts to play on life's stage. Focus the genius energy of this Full Moon through your body-wisdom rather than your mind, plug yourself into productive action rather than making excuses, and rise to unexpected or unusual opportunities and ideas to propel your process into a larger life and vision.
This lunation will release long term Lunar eclipse energies you can learn more about from following the links in this article from a few weeks ago.
Venus continues to herald things to come since it is closing the gap between Saturn and the other planets. With where the Sun and Mercury are this week, we have a Seesaw between planets in Gemini through Leo opposing planets in Sag through Aries. This week Venus enters Leo, so things should burst forth in our Taurus and Libra related areas.
With the Moon transiting Capricorn through Taurus this week, the Moon transits the span from Neptune through Mars, creating oppositions to Venus and Saturn, re-echoing the Saturn opposed Neptune lessions. Though Saturn is no longer the nozzle for the other planetary energies as it has been for months, it will be one of the brackets, along with Pluto, framing the Locomotive pattern that most predominates for months to come when the span on the close side is less than 51 degrees.
The week begins with the Moon in Capricorn. As I noted in last weeks article about the weekend leading up to the week ahead:
The Moon enters Capricorn on June 2 at 8:09 am PDT. Great time for pest control, especially with the square to Mars early in the sign. Of course, the opposition to Mercury is a caution against snap judgments, opinions, or speech, since it makes a Cardinal T-square with the void in Libra, a challenge for diplomacy and refinement in the face of self-serving impulsive behavior. The Moon favorable to Uranus helps us find courage, nobility, and strength through taking a unique and unusual view of things. The Moon enters Aquarius at 4:15 pm PDT just hours after Mars trines Jupiter, focusing the Grand Fire Trine. This Moon in Aquarius is totally forward looking, since Venus enters Leo and the Sun opposes Jupiter on June 5-6 while the Moon is still in that sign. Also remember that when it conjuncts Neptune on June 6 it's in the Grand Irrationality, with the challenge being to find our greater service, keep the initiative in our own hands, and practice forms of productive self-dramatization of our most authentic self.
Given that any strong connect with Neptune is amplified through Neptune being stationary retrograde, expect strange sensations of cosmic tides shifting backwards for a few months. This will bring us echoes of whatever we've been learning and/or putting out into collective consciousness, and marks a threshold of us learning to build an adequate vehicle to deliver forms of higher power. Strive for balance these next few months as you experience yourself performing beyond your previous expectations.
We also note this Moon in Capricorn is the final time it makes a Yod, or Finger of God, to the rapidly fading Saturn quincunx Uranus. These recent Yods allowed us to express our individuality helping us and others let go of old "social rigidities," with needed adjustments creating joyous interactions making life freer and happier. They were most focused in May and June when the Moon transited 18-19 degrees of Libra or Capricorn. This configuration involves multiple sacrifices leading to spiritual expansions through a narrowing of focus.
Of major importance to us all is that over the next few weeks is that Saturn is moving back into a short term but very powerful triseptile to Uranus. I described this briefly in this article, with more in the article Spiritual Astrology in May-June 2007 affecting Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces
When the Moon conjuncts Neptune June 6 it also triggers The Grand Irrationality, which is bringing major forks in the road for all. We recently went through a very strong activation of this 7 pointed Star pattern, and many who have planets or angles in any of the 7 zones of this configuration confronted major decisions, or forms of compulsive behavior in others, or forks in the road of their destiny, aka, character choices.
As noted in other articles,
The Grand Irrationality is why everything feels much weirder than it used to, with hard edges and widespread irrational and/or compulsive behaviors more and more evident. Sometimes these energies grow stronger than at other times, depending on where the planets are. The link to The Grand Irrationality will explain more about this widespread long term influence in depth, along with internal links in that article that explain more about the larger field and what we can do to maneuver it successfully.
Right now the hot zones of The Grand Irrationality fall at approximately 27 Sagittarius-1 Capricorn, 20-25 Aquarius, 11-14 Aries, 2-7 Gemini, 24-27 Cancer, 15-19 Virgo, and 6-10 Scorpio at this time in history. This pattern is setting up the generally strange atmosphere, a lot of compulsions coming to surface as well as forks in the road of our destiny in several areas of life, and overall one long hard edge of choices, changes, and a future that never is quite as logical as we may like.
In dealing with the generic weirdness, remember that even if things get very bizarre or irrational, we are not powerless. Even if destiny is "on the move," we still can steer the process to some degree, if we don't lose our cool in the midst of the great weirdness. We’re learning in these strange times not to lean too heavily on "things making sense," and how to fly by the seat of our pants, not going funky places we shouldn't, and making choices that will propel us into an evolving future that may not make much sense but is perfect for the uniqueness we are.
Every time the Moon triggers the Grand Irrationality we experience a form of a turning point of sorts, where the seeds of the future will stand revealed. Besides June 6, it'll trigger the pattern when it goes through the Aries zone on 9-10, echoing the recent Mars transit of that zone, and again June 13, when it will re-echo the messages, ideas, signals and signs we got when Mercury went through the Gemini zone May 11-13.
This area was stimulated into life when the Sun was there May 22-26, and heavily activated by the Venus transit of the Cancer zone at the same time Mars was in the Aries zone last week. This created a full 7 pointed Star pattern when the Moon was in the Scorpio zone on May 28-29, which was a major turning point for many.
Of course, any of us with planets in the Gemini or Virgo zones at that time experienced a 7 pointed Star. Though many things may not have made sense in the recent past, we were learning how not to get confused by the swirl and hang out with the energies without getting hassled, disoriented, or weirded out. It won't be nearly this heavy again until early August.
The Moon enters Pisces on June 6 at 10:24 pm PDT. Trine Mercury and quintile Pluto on June 7, open to new and better ideas helping you go deeper into things and make related elements in your life more efficient. Definitely say goodbye to whatever is leaving thanks to the recent septiles, biseptiles, and triseptiles, and be alert to subtle shifts internally as well as in the outer world. The Moon enters its last quarter phase on June 8 as it makes numerous squares to Jupiter, Sun, and then Pluto, and on the edge of the Sun square Uranus to come June 9, try to keep it as organized as possible while not allowing the heightened nervousness and agitation of the time get to you.
Expect the unexpected June 8-10, and for those who are open, there could be ways to contact "the Ageless Wisdom" in one of its myriad forms, or understand a view that can lead you directly there. Of course, it will also open many to reorienting, and for some, a trip to distant lands is promised as a way of removing yourself from "the refuse and pollution of social living." If so, expect June 7-8 to illuminate the way, preparing you for a grand adventure in October.
The Moon enters Aries at 2:26 am June 9, so deal with garden pests. This Moon in Aries will quicken the understandings, progress, and harmonious effects accompanying the Grand Fire Trine set off by Mars. Should be a great jumpstart to whatever you want or need to do, but again, be alert to the unexpected.
Definitely accelerate the pace in whatever you need to complete or finish up by June 11-12, since Mercury retrograde is on the way, and so Mercury's speed is already slowing down tremendously. I'll post more about the coming Mercury Retrograde that begins June 15 at 4:40 pm PDT, June 16 in Europe and points east.
June 10 shows a host of great lunar aspects on the threshold of the very productive Sun sextile to Mars trine Saturn on June 11, so the whole period should be exceptionally favorable. The Moon enters Taurus 4:29 am June 11, and even the square to Venus should point the way to new goals, friends, group work, and greater focus. And as I pointed out earlier, when the Moon T-squares Saturn and Neptune on June 12-13, it's one of the last 6 Lunar Fixed T-squares for a long time to come, so use the energies wisely. The Sun trine Neptune can show you the way.
Except for the short-term gear grind of June 8-9, we continue to have a fairly good run of favorable Lunar aspects this week, and with the power of the recent Blue Moon bringing many good things to surface, open to unique practices where you can act on and use the signals, ideas, and messages connected to new energies of compassion recently cut loose at the Wesak Festival (More at this link.) Keep learning discernment, detachment, dispassion, and generate as much goodwill as you can as you surf your way through the effects of the recent New Moon and Full Moon T-squares.
This is the time to go for whatever new projects, endeavors, or initiatives we've set into motion these past few months. Be very productive this week, getting ready for Mercury retrograde to give us new insights or factors in what we've begun, where we can re-work some things, rehearse others, and reconnect with ideas, feelings, people, and skills we may have neglected or forgotten.
As I've told you before, have no fear at the changes, since this is the time we've been waiting for. Go with the rising tide, the promise of the vision, be direct and dynamic in applying yourself to your desired ends, and open to your new vistas of concrete development.

Robert, thank you for this article! When I look back on March and April to where I am now, after finally deciding to just “let go” - I can honestly feel the Universe in total control and know deep within that positive change is on the horizon, as long as I continue to trust in the power of that universe. Many hard life lessons have been learned and that “wisdom” you speak of in this article truly brought that fact home for me. Through it all - the weirdness, the unexpected (Uranus) have all brought me to a place of peace. We as humans think we’re in control. We’re not. I believe we all have challenges in life to bring us along in our life journey. It’s as if the Universe steps in and does the work for us that we can’t seem to do ourselves. With Neptune and Saturn at odds, I’ve actually embraced the transit because I ultimately know when all is said and done that I will have rid myself of those things I never needed to hold on to in the first place. It’s a beautiful thing. God Bless You!

Hi Phyllis - Well, it seems that you've learned the fundamental lesson of Saturn - that we only have control over our response to what's happening. That is truly wisdom, though at times it's a drag. And trusting in our process of unfoldment is crucial, especially in helping us get over the illusions that life is fair, or that our process is meant to punish us, or that our process of unfoldment is going to look like anyone else's. I do believe that our Dharma is always there to provide us a means to get back on track if we've wandered into funky places, and of course you're right that we cannot hold on to that which is no longer true for us, regardless of our opinions and desires to the contrary. Though it's scary for the child to give up their training wheels on their bike, it's an amazing sensation to be able to pedal free! It just takes balance and practice, kind of like life itself....

Hello Robert!
Thank you for your insight.
As an Aquarian, I do feel recently "bullied". However, I'm praying and controlling my emotions. (I'm still "thinking" too much but that's Aquarius.)
These are trying times for Aquarians because we feel that since we pay our bills - and we're doing nothing criminal - then what's the problem? Why do people currently feel a megalomaniacal need to "bully" a free-spirited Aquarian?
Personally, I think the gods are prodding me. The comfort zone can easily become staid. Apparently, some people don't like me...but I must laugh because EVERYBODY likes me! Robert, the only people who don't like me are the people who can't "control" me.
Me?
I have no desire to control anybody. Yes, I'm single with no kids but still...why do some individuals feel a need to control me - ME - of all people???
The thought that the vast majority of people are "by the book" followers is REALLY frightening! But just because I'm not a "follower" doesn't make me a threat, correct?
I'm no threat.
I just like freedom, that's all.
Peace and Love...

Hi Ron - You're welcome. Of course, the world is generically presumptuous, so from time to time we all feel "bullied" by thoughtless people. This teaches us about boundaries, what we invite, and how to detach from taking any of it personally. And Saturn afflicting the Sun definitely puts issues of controlling behaviors front and center, whether our own or another's!
It is normal for polarization to occur when we resist another's attempt to control our behavior. Sometimes it's not even control, but an attempt to coerce us into going along with something we can't go along with. Then when they meet resistance, the level of interaction usually sinks to whatever level the participants are at. Which is why "I roll with the flow, wherever it goes, and it's a rolling out of here..." is a good thing to remember when we're better off going to the proverbial beach than dancing with someone else who has an agenda we cannot or should not buy into. Some people need agreement, and when they don't get it, can go into funny head spaces. If they are insecure, then non-agreement can be perceived as a threat.

Hi Robert....theres a very weird in a chaotic feeling in banda aceh now..we had earthquake in 2 consecutive days last weekend...and yesterday the tsunami siren had went off to the horror of everyone in the city..people had run towards the higher ground... I have been forwarned earlier today,to be in full alert of the environment this week Robert..It seems some signs had been shown for the gifted local people(they are reliable)...am very concerned over the people Richard, and yes,am feeling so restless and out of sort for the past weeks too...anyway,hope to hear soonest whats your feel on this one my dearest Robert...Thank you..
Posted by: ann | June 05, 2007 at 11:19 AM
Hi ann - We just moved through two weeks where several planets triggered the Grand Irrationality, which as you know is the big timekeeper during this era. As we are living under the Fire Boar, which has an element of water that can get out of control easily, stay alert. The Grand Fire Trine is showing clear visions, and of course by mid-month we're dealing with Mercury RX, Sun opposed Pluto, then Uranus going stationary RX, and Saturn exactly opposed Neptune. It's an extreme time, though Mars trine Pluto quintile Neptune should help those who are sensitive to know what's coming before it does.

My dearest Robert,Thank you so much for the marvellous insight...I shall alert the rest here,to be aware of the possibilities ...nevertheless,we have to go through what we must to learn greater compassion and love for each other..thank you my dearest Robert...love for always

hi robert
dont know if this will get to you in time. but tonite is a VOID MOON period at the same time as I have a conference call with my film team. it's a pretty important one where I will be laying out my terms for the producer. it's not final terms, but I thought it would be good to hear your comments on how a moon void period could affect conferences like these....
thanks so much robert...!
Posted by: suz-d | June 06, 2007 at 09:30 AM
Hi suz-d - I wouldn't sweat it, since the Moon in late Aquarius is great for progressive group work. And even in its late degrees, it still makes a sextile to Pluto, quintile to Jupiter, tredecile to Sun, sesquisquare to Mercury, and triseptile to Venus! And of course it may be making aspects to your natal or progressed positions, or solar return chart as well....

sextile
quintile
tredecile
sesquisquare
triseptile
robert this is mathmatically fascinating!
I look forward to my call tonite with all its angular possibilites and potentials....
thanks as always for yr wisdom!
