Astrology Stress Zones for August 2007 Pt.2 - Mars stimulating Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces

by Robert Wilkinson

Mars activates and accelerates the pace of events in our lives. People currently going through dynamic activity, a hectic fast-paced period, or having the hardest time the first half of August are Taurus born the third week of May and Geminis born in May and the first week of June, Leos born the third week of August and Virgos born in August and the first week of September, Scorpios born the third week of November and Sag born in November and the first week of December, and Aquarians born the third week of February and Pisces born in February and the first week of March. If you were born in these zones, focus on what constitutes responsible action, given these birth periods show more highly agitated energy than usual.

Astrology Stress Zones Predictions for August 2007 Pt. 1 - Mars enters Gemini Triggering the Grand Irrationality

by Robert Wilkinson

Mars triggers whatever happens of note in our charts. In August 2007, Mars moves from 27 degrees Taurus through 16 Gemini, activating the Grand Irrationality the second week of August. Though there are a few afflictions, for the most part Mars should help all of us get a lot accomplished due to very favorable aspects to most of the planets.

Astrology in August 2007 - The Full Moon in Aquarius Promises Major Mutations and Cosmic Visitations

by Robert Wilkinson

This Full Moon at 7 degrees Leo-Aquarius occurring at 5:48 pm PDT July 29 will show us permanence and manifest as "a child born out of the cosmic egg," said to be a degree of mutation that frees us from local conditions and indicates an emergence of new life liberated from old karmas and Earth-bound inertias.

Hi all - Must hit the road for a few days. I'll try to compose something for posting, but cannot answer comments or questions for a while. It seems that's just the way it is these days, so thanks for hanging in there, and by all means, take a new look at the recent posts and then if you still want more, rumble through the archives since they contain a lot of great material that is still timely. Ciao, Mahalo, and see you on the flip side!

What is Venus Retrograde in Leo and Virgo Good For?

by Robert Wilkinson

As with any retrograde, we are given a chance to do a review, taking a look back at recent developments ruled by the retrograde planets. Mercury RX gives a review of ideas and perceptions, while Venus RX gives us a chance to find a new value or appreciation in what we've recently experienced regarding things and people. When Venus is retrograde it's a great time to reflect on values, relationships, and why we like or don't like whatever or whoever, including our relationship to money, wealth, and things in general, as well as why we value what we do in our relationships, and whether we're working off of old tapes, old hurts, old attachments, and old aversions in relationships that bear no resemblance to what we're living with today.

Astrology for All in July-August-September 2007 - Saying Goodbye To Saturn in Leo While Seeing Past as Prologue

by Robert Wilkinson

We will all be experiencing a big shift in several areas of our lives over the next eight weeks, as Saturn moves through the very end of Leo and enters its 2+ year stay in Virgo. This will no doubt be a big relief to any of us who have a planet or significant point in Leo, and it already seems to be a subject of apprehension to those with planets and points in Virgo. Today we take a new look at what Saturn in Leo has brought us all.

What the 2007 Venus Retrograde in Virgo and Leo Means For Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces in July, August, September 2007 - Pt. 2

by Robert Wilkinson

Venus is retrograde now through September 8, 2007 offering us many ways to view our Venus function from a different point of view. Besides showing us great opportunities to find a deeper compassion, it also gives us a chance to review and rethink our vanities, our likes and dislikes, and take a new look at old wounds. It may also trigger remembrances of old relationships and see them from our present maturity rather than continue to hold the image of what used to be. Venus is our inner romantic picture of things, people, and ideas, mirrored out to our world. Its glyph, resembling a hand mirror, shows that it symbolizes our vanities and our self-reflected images of beauty. None of these are a bad thing, but we must revise these from time to time lest we be pursuing images that will no longer satisfy our evolved self and life.

Venus Retrograde in Virgo and Leo July, August, and September 2007 Pt. 1 - Guardian Angels Are All Around

by Robert Wilkinson

Venus will go stationary retrograde 10:27 am PDT July 27, 2007, at 3 degrees of Virgo. Any time Venus goes retrograde it's a great time to reflect on values, relationships, and why we like or don't like whatever or whoever. This includes our relationship to money, wealth, and things in general, as well as why we value what we do in our relationships, and whether we're working off of old tapes, old hurts, old attachments, and old aversions in relationships that bear no resemblance to what we're living with today.

What Is Astrology and How Does It Work?

by Robert Wilkinson

A while ago I gave a talk "What is Astrology?" Of course a comprehensive discussion of that would take several lifetimes, so I tried to keep it focused on the essentials. What follows is a re-posting of a few key elements of my discourse, Eventually I'll repost the audio to the entire talk when I can find the tape again so you can hear what I said first hand.

Is the New Age Now or When Will It Happen?

by Robert Wilkinson

This is something I wrote as an intro to my ancient website back in the late 90s. I just ran across it in an obscure part of the web, and thought you might like to take a look at where my head was at, and amazingly, still is. I address some of our 21st Century issues and where we're at from a vaster perspective. Given the racheting up of the violence and polarization of the past decade, this modest piece seems precient. I've only edited it to remove references to the old site.

Why Is Self-Control of the Emotions A Good Thing?

by Robert Wilkinson

Well, the first thing that springs to mind is that it's never a good thing when something external to us causes us to lose our cool. If we get thrown off by internal stuff that takes us by surprise, it's one thing. But to allow any external thing or person to sap us of our power to choose the better rather than the worse, the good instead of the bad, the helpful rather than the unhelpful, is to abdicate our higher responsibility to live the life we choose, rather than allow anything else to run our karma into a ditch.

Uranus Awakened the Age of Aquarius, Neptune is Dreaming it into future Reality, and Pluto will Activate the Transformational Process

by Robert Wilkinson

Continuing yesterday's theme, the Age of Aquarius is upon us, but since Cosmic Time is somewhat more stretched out than our human-based perceptual framework, it’s going to be a while before we will finally bid adieu to the old, rapidly-fading Age of Pisces. We have already had various parts of the Aquarian Age awakened at two different moments in recent history, these occurring when Uranus transited the sign. Neptune and Pluto also have their roles, and today we explore what they are.

Are We In The Age of Aquarius?

by Robert Wilkinson

Today I'll offer you a new look at an article I did a while ago on the coming Age of Aquarius. We are currently at the cusp of the end of the Age of Pisces and the beginning of the Age of Aquarius, though we still have a few decades to go before we'll see the new era solidly manifest. So for your consideration, here's my take on the coming Age, and some things to look for as we approach the threshold of this hopeful time.

Astrology in July 2007 - New Moon in Cancer Will Nurture Us Through The Changes

by Robert Wilkinson

Today's New Moon in Cancer sets the seeds for what we're learning and going through the next few weeks. Cancer self-gathers what it needs to secure conditions, so wherever we have 22 Cancer indicates where we can expect self-sustaining growth in the near future. In the Pisces decan of that sign, we can expect tremendous growth through sensitivity to common emotional experiences, and compassion will facilitate the release of many old resentments and memories that don't need to be perpetuated. Venus leaving Leo and entering Virgo preparing to go retrograde is also very important, and I'll be composing an article on that soon.

Is Truth Always What It Seems To Be?

by Robert Wilkinson

Our reality can get pretty vague sometimes. Often it seems that what is true and what is false is really in the eye of the beholder. We humans have many moral dilemmas to sort through in the process of becoming our Higher Self. These intrude on our comfortable assumptions every so often, and force us to reconsider some things we've taken for granted up to that point in our experience.

Astrology and Destiny - The Intersection of Fate and Free Will

by Robert Wilkinson

Since this site is dedicated to exploring just how much control we have over our lives and destiny, I thought this article might provide food for thought. Many people get spooked by the influence of the outer invisible Triad of Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in their lives, since they seem overwhelming in their influence to take things away whether we want them to or not.

Cancer 2007 - Tender Nurturing Water Spirits

by Robert Wilkinson

July marks the heart of Summer, a period of maximum Solar force assisting us to do our Being with all the power and determination we can muster. This is a month of fundamental reorientations to be consolidated as a feeling-experience to release a new creative impulse when the Sun enters Leo. July expands the externalizing self-gathering that Summer symbolizes. It is a time of decisions and events that will wreck all that blocks the new way of life we've embraced up to now so accept new ways of experiencing life, new needs and habits, and willingly turn the corner, renouncing old ways of feeling.

Life After Death - What Awaits Us On The Other Side?

by Robert Wilkinson

I thought it was a great time to revisit a chain of articles concerning Universal Mind, Consciousness, and a host of other interesting subjects related to life and death, and what we will find after we die. If you've ever wondered if and how you'll recognize your loved ones, read on.

Happy Video Birthday to One of the Greatest, Ringo Starr

by Robert Wilkinson

Today we send up a big Happy Birthday to Ringo Starr, who once upon a dream was the "most popular" Beatle. He is rumored to have gotten more fan mail than any other Beatle, and while he was never the world's most prolific songwriter, he sang lead on many of their hits. He also co-starred in one of my favorite movies of all time, "The Magic Christian," with Peter Sellers. Today we have a video or two for your perusal and enjoyment. Thanks for everything, Ringo, and "rock on one time for me...."

The Week of July 9-16, 2007 - Mercury goes stationary direct, Sun trine Uranus, New Moon in Cancer, and Venus enters Virgo

by Robert Wilkinson

Mercury comes out of retrograde this week, so crank things up after recent weeks of rehearsal, review, research, and preparation. This week we have the New Moon at 22 degrees Cancer occurring at 5:04 am PDT July 14, showing we will open to "longing to live life as a great adventure," and we are told this will demonstrate "the compelling power of all sustained desire and of the dreaming of dreams." This would imply we will open to a greater life and see the results of visions we have held for a long time.

Happy 616th Birthday To HH Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso

by Robert Wilkinson

Well, it's true, since he does "remember" all the way back to his first incarnation as Dalai Lama, born 1391. It's a miraculous thing when a person can with unimpeachable authority KNOW not just who they were in a prior life (with no prompting) but can also identify their previous life possessions, such as glasses, bowls, and malas, or prayer beads. This Being is truly one of the most benign and enlightened consciousnesses ever to walk this Earth, and having had the privilege of attending numerous talks with Him, I am always in awe of his gentle sense of humor, his generosity of Spirit, and his profound wisdom.

What Sign Rules Your State?

by Robert Wilkinson

Today we revisit an article outlining which signs rule which states. I've also included the Moon signs and the sign of the planet ruling each state's Sun since the dispositor of the Sun sign exerts a major influence in how that Sun is expressed. If you've wondered why certain states appeal to you or turn you off more than others, this may explain why. Obviously this article is geared to those living in the US, but every country, state, city and village in the world has its own astrological character, so no matter where we are, we can benefit by knowing the astrology of the place we're at.

Happy Birthday to the United States of America - Or is it?

by Robert Wilkinson

Yes, believe it or not, there is some debate whether July 4, 1776 was our "true" birthday. Was that day when the US was born? Actually not. It was a day when 13 individual colonies' representatives signed the Declaration of Independence, but it was not when this country became a country. That came years later. It seems that a preponderance of the evidence indicates the US is either a Pisces or a Virgo.

Life Changes and Comments

Hi all - Just to let you know that due to overwhelming demands on my time as I begin to move my library and parts of my life across country, I cannot answer personal questions the next two weeks except sporadically. I appreciate everyone checking in, and by all means continue to comment, and I'll check in when I can. Many excellent articles are in queue to auto-post, and I'll attempt to write more timely pieces addressing what's happening as I can, but cannot do comments. Also, I may or may not be able to do the weekly forecasts for a couple of weeks as they require a lot of work and I can't see when I'll have time. Thanks, and enjoy the great articles I've already done that will post over the next two weeks! Namaskarams!!

Astrology Stress Zones for July 2007 Pt.2 - Mars stimulating Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces

by Robert Wilkinson

Mars activates and accelerates the pace of events in our lives. People currently going through dynamic activity, a hectic fast-paced period, or having the hardest time the first half of July are Taurus born late April and the first week of May, Leos born in late July and the first week of August, Scorpios born late October and the first week of November, and Aquarians born the end of January and the first week of February. If you were born in these zones, focus on what constitutes responsible action, given these birth periods show more highly agitated energy than usual.

Astrology Stress Zones Predictions for July 2007 Pt. 1 - The Juggernaut of Mars Moves Through Irrationality Stabilizing our Future With Lots of Choices

by Robert Wilkinson

Mars triggers whatever happens of note in our charts. In July 2007, Mars moves from 5 through 26 degrees Taurus, culminating at month's end in the final Fixed T-square to the rapidly fading Saturn opposition Neptune that helped us get clear about many things since late 2005. Many illusions have been busted and ideals realized through hard work and discipline. As the month evolves, Mars helps us push out the last of what's antiquated, creating a void that will be filled by the contents of our future as it's careened toward us since March.

Ancient Hymns for Peace - A Universal Song

by Robert Wilkinson

I ran across these surfing the web, and thought them so beautiful that I decided to post them. These are ancient hymns from the Vedas, the Holy Books of India whose origins are lost in the mists of time. One is "May all possess happiness. May all be healthy. May all see beauty. May there be good fortune and no misery anywhere. May there be peace everywhere." What's not to like? Try to sound out the syllables, and you may be pleasantly surprised at what you feel. Aum Shiva Shanti!
