Mercury Retrograde Astrology - What Is An Inferior Conjunction and What Does It Mean?

"Inferior conjunctions" only occur when Mercury's apparent backward retrograde motion brings it to a conjunction with the Sun. Mercury symbolizes our Mind and the Sun represents our Life as it progresses. Each year they do a unique dance, conjuncting 3 times in a "Superior" conjunction, when Mercury is faster than the Sun, and 3 times in an "Inferior" conjunction, when Mercury is retrograde. These each have importance in the relationship of Life to Mind in our yearly affairs.

Some years this dance happens four times, and each time Mercury and the Sun get together Life is influenced by Mind, and Mind is influenced by Life, with the Life/Integration principle obviously the stronger. Hi Lori - No, no one from that conference invited me to be a speaker. I retired from that circuit about 15 years ago, but would be open to doing things again somewhere sometime. Right now my writing is a priority, since the virtual center will be one of learning and therefore I have many things to assemble past and present.
