Today we have a New Moon in Scorpio at the Transfiguration degree, ushering in a several-week period where we will see evidence of "a job well done," bringing some phase of our lives to completion and illuminating our power of regeneration. This New Moon will produce inspiration, transformation, and many realizations as well as the end of obscurities, vagueness, and deceptions in critical areas of our lives.
The West Coast of the US has early Taurus rising, while New Mexico has late Aries rising. Miami has late Taurus rising, while NY has mid-Gemini rising. Hopping the pond, London and Amsterdam both have late Leo rising. Moving Eastward, Estonia and Istanbul have mid-Virgo rising, India has mid-to-late Libra rising, Bangkok has mid-Scorpio rising, Western Australia has mid-Sag rising, and Melbourne has mid-Capricorn rising.
We find that this is a Locomotive pattern, with Mars in Cancer leading the occupied segment and Uranus in Pisces closing the span. This implies an imbalanced period that is power rather than weakness, and the Grand Water Trine of the Sun and Moon both trine the ruler of the lunation Mars along with Uranus should produce emotional harmony, understanding, or at least a flow.
The New Moon is on a Transfiguration point, showing all of us that we've hit the end of an old pattern and finished some magnetic test, challenge, or activity. We are all challenged to become flexible yet show strength, and the Moon-Mars in mutual reception is very strong, especially since Mars is in the Scorpio sector of Cancer. Mars is a very important planet in this lunation, so let's explore some aspects.
Mars is septile Saturn, which when coupled with Mercury septile Saturn and Jupiter biseptile Saturn would seem to indicate more critical forks in the road of destiny for all of us, wherever these fall and in whatever houses they rule. As Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn rule 2/3 of our reality, this lunation will cut a wide wake indeed! This would imply several more weeks of weirdness, but these forks in the road are more about what to do now that the old era is over and we're confronted with whatever we succeeded at that has brought us to this transfigured state.
Saturn conjunct the South Node shows more work, more following through on our line of least resistance, and demonstrating our ability to take responsibility while releasing any old subservient, worry, or nervous patterns left over from our prior life. Yes, the work load may have been heavy, but there are benefits to be captured in the future.
The Lunation semisquare Venus indicates internal crises about how to view the overall process so we can identify with a larger sweep of cycles at work, and marks a period of difficulty between the Cancer-Leo parts of our lives with that which rules the Taurus and Libra parts of our lives. Of some importance is that Venus is the dispositor of Mercury and itself, while Jupiter disposes Uranus and Pluto. The rest are primarily influenced by the Moon-Mars mutual reception.
Other aspects of note are the Lunation quintiles Saturn while squaring Neptune, Mercury is in a tredecile with Mars and Mars is biquintile Neptune. These are productive of unique gifts and circumstances, and we should be able to encounter ideas and information in some serendipitous ways.
The square of the Lunation to Neptune opens the voids at 18 and 20 degrees of Taurus and Leo, showing alchemy is in the air. Clean out your perceptions and obsolete ways of viewing things in order to see which way the "winds of destiny" are blowing, and consciously link yourself with the source of life on Earth.
Of special importance are the Venus binovile Mars, Venus binovile Jupiter, and Mars quadranovile Jupiter. See how seemingly opposite realizations share a common base as you reach another level of spiritual realization about people and promises, and accept or reject the relationships that either are in harmony or disharmony with your own ideals and future vision. The Lunation novile Pluto shows this is the end of a long cycle that began last December, which should bring some things out of the "desert" or "off the shelf" showing the beauty and functionality of what began then.

Robert my friend i am so stuck. I am an Aries Asc. Leo, Cancer Moon.
I have moved to my hometown to feel like its a mistake. $$ issues thanks to dumb moves during a Venus retro earlier this year. I am trying to figure out whether giving my lovely leo of an ex a second chance is bright, it involves moving across the country. Anyhow, how does the current Scorpio configuration reflect the events taking place in late May 2007/June 2007 when I left and moved home until now..
Not sure if that translates well, but an idea would help me crack this one...
Thanks for everything Robert. You are doing us all a great service. Your interest has lead to mine and that has happened to many of us regulars here. When I can say im an aries asc. leo, Cancer moon... thats all u.
Cheers.

friend, i dislike all those other horoscope folks who make this year for a sadge like me to be the high point of my lifetime, its a very ordinary year replete with challenges, not life changing at all :-) atleast not in a good way, it's sad i sometimes believe them but now think i must guard my trust and optimism like one would guard other material treasures in life,
hope life is treating you fine and you are making progress in your good work !

Hi April 7 - Maybe you did or did not move to an ideal location, but please imagine where you want to be in 1000 days and then make small steps toward that goal every day. You cannot go back or give second chances - you simply are in the NOW and can or cannot give your energies to whatever truth calls you. If a move would be exhausting, then you cannot gamble on that hoping "something will happen." However, if you sincerely demand a revelation from Spirit as to which direction to take, you will get one pdq. Go back into the archives to find out what was happening then, and then relate it to what's happening now.
Hi robyn - Sounds like you're stuck in a mental-emotional loop. Detach from your own suffering to see its source, be willing to embrace something more fulfilling, and be led into a different head and heart space. This is not about avoidance - it's remembering 24/7 to discipline your body, feelings, and mind according to your highest intention, which should be there if you look. As for your attachment to something external that is associated with stress, sorrow, and sadness, stop going where you don't need to go. It's an indulgence of the lower self that only leads to more suffering. This is a time to sort through what is clogging your light and clean out dark spaces through flowing with compassion. I don't get out much either, so nyet problema.
Hi abacus - This doesn't feel like much of a "high point" for many due to aspects putting pressure to make more choices and changes than we'd like, along with Saturn conjunct South Node in Virgo racheting up the work load, however it shows in our lives. Everyone I know is working very hard to maintain and/or improve what's in motion, despite the heaviness of living in a world caught in the delusion of war, torture, violence, pointlessness, and frustrating divisions in our one race. This can be explained by some of the aspects, but we still have to learn to move and live within that larger atmosphere. Your life may be changing on a deeper level than you can presently see. Our lives are like that. The closer to the mirror, the less perspective we have. Definitely guard your trust and optimism like you would guard your life. Our core is not worth compromising for any external thing. Generating focused positivity and the will-to-good is the antidote for the mind going into spaces it should not go, and once we master that, then many of our experiences will assist us in generating that in other external spaces. And I'm getting established in my new center of gravity and orbital sequencing, so what's not to celebrate?

I can relate to the sadness and frustration mentioned here. I think geopolitical worries are taking their toll and I'm having a hard time raising my own consciousness. My birthday is in a couple of days. I have been taking many of your articles to heart. One depressing thing is that I have been trying to cultivate relationships from the past, friendships and have reached out by phone and email. I have gotten no response to 5 emails that I put a fair amount of good energy into. I was asking questions, extending invitations to get together, Nada nothing zilch. I don't really know what to think. I feel now like I'm sinking to the lowest level of my scorpio nature when for months I felt I was making great progress. Today things are better but last week was miserable. Am I becoming repulsive? Maybe my emails are getting lost in cyberspace in some remote hole of the world wide web!?
I would like a phone consultation sometime this month if you are available. I've sent you an email requst.
Thanks and Namaste

Hello Robert,
I sent this to my family and friends a while ago, and it seems pertinent to provide the link here for those feeling a bit blue. I call it HOPE and while folks may not be a fan of the performer, the message and the vid is truly inspiring.

hi robert,
could you expand on this part of your article: "...and marks a period of difficulty between the Cancer-Leo parts of our lives with that which rules the Taurus and Libra parts of our lives. Of some importance is that Venus is the dispositor of Mercury and itself, while Jupiter disposes Uranus and Pluto. "
I think you lost me, why is it of some importance that venus is the dispositor (as if i knew what that meant in the first place)? thanks, kpd

Hi Robert,
Just a quick note, wishing you the highest abundance and prosperity of ALL GOOD THINGS NOW, in harmony with your intent and desire - in Universal Flow as you work with spirit's guidance ... to bring forth that which your heart most greatly desires, for the highest good of all ~ including yourself! You are guided - always.
The Center that you want to manifest will be a blessing for all - and you will be surprised as you go, at the blessings, synchronicities and miracles that will appear for you to bring it forth.
Keep in the flow as you go - and you'll be surprised at the blessings to come.
Thanks for your work!

I have been all over your sight reading about the Saturn conjunct SN, very helpful in understanding. Saturn right now is conjuncting my natal SN, Venus and Mercury in my 8th house. All 3 in Virgo, Sun too, w/Pluto and Mars in Leo, & all in the 8th house, it is crowded. Can you shed any more light on just what I am needing myself to do here? I have been making myself a nervous wreck lately. Any help is greatly appreciated--your site is greatly appreciated!! Thank You!! Deborah

Hi Kristin - Well, anyone who feels much of anything has to be feeling the mass confusion and despair in the collective consciousness. This is why we who strive must stay focused on what is truly real versus what is apparently real. This era will pass, and a new one will follow, and our job is to keep generating as much positive momentum as we can. Perhaps those relationships have outlived their time, while others may get back to you once this swirl of work subsides a little. I have not been able to answer emails for almost a week due to overwhelming work, both those already scheduled as well as emergency calls from friends with life-threatening health problems. Open to attracting new friends, do things and go places you may not have considered before, and be patient as you reverse old magnetics and be attracted to new things that might be more fulfilling and fun. And I'll go pick through the emails that have stacked up to find yours. Of course we can do a session.
Hi Juliet - This is a time when many need hope, for all kinds of reasons. Life here on Earth is a real trip! Thanks for the effort to bring hope here to those who visit the cantina who are having a hard time.
Hi Kathy - The Lunation is in Scorpio semisquare Venus. This puts the sectors ruled by the Sun and Moon at odds with the sectors ruled by Venus. Venus rules the sign Mercury is in, thus Venus disposits Mercury. Jupiter rules Sag and Pisces, thus is the dispositor of Uranus and Pluto. The dispositor of a planet indicates the backdrop of how that planet functions. This article on dispositors explains more about what this means.
Hi Lori - Thanks for the sentiment. Given the work I've been doing for 35 years, I have no doubt whatever needs to manifest will in the perfect time and way. I just hope I still have time to write as much as I have been. But the work multiplies with each month....
Hi Chickie - It could mean that as she flowers, it will nurture you and bring out your Moon publicly, while you can nurture her higher view. Mercury brings the news and views.
Hi Lori(soo) - Don't know why you haven't gotten through. I went through my emails and there's no record of any Lori emailing me. If you just click on the left hand link "email me" your email program should pop up.
Hi Deborah Smith - Glad my articles help you make sense of this weird (and hard working!) time. This is a time to figure out what you can and cannot live with in those areas, and clean out whatever is obsolete or preventing you from bringing your maturity and experience to focus as power in your life. It's certainly a time when many "chickens are coming home to roost," so drop anything not in line with your higher intention. It'll probably drop away in any case, so don't spend a lot of time lamenting what's leaving, but enjoy the space that is sure to be filled with new life contents these next several months. And please don't "make yourself a wreck." Instead, slow things down, examine how you've grown the past 17 years, and renew whatever you need to in order to take things to the next level of your personal authorship in mid-2008.

hi Robert i just want to say thanks for the great article. Your wisdom is above me and beyond me and I am most appreciative. I learn so much from you and i am not going to ask you anything cause i think you need a humongous break. I also think you are a wonderful person for giving so much of your time and energy. Thank you again and again and again for your insights and amazing spirit.

Hi all,
Thanks Robert, for looking through your emails. I wrote to you several months ago, asking for a session. I, too, am suffering from the illusion of confusion, helplessness and isolation and want to feel the support of others walking along side me on the path....
My heart hurts as I read these comments: so many people feeling lost and in despair while the world around us maintains the insanity of status quo. Mars goes retro in several days in Cancer and I have read that these energies bring about warlike behavior. Today, I send up a prayer for collective peace and reverence and ask all to be sensitive to these warlike energies and channel them into genuine warrior behavior! How can we best fight for light and good on this planet? How can all of us lonely, suffering strangers send out a collective shout? I am open to suggestions and am holding a space for collective support and sane and reverent breakthroughs!
In love and peace,
lori(soo)

Hi Robert,
It's taken two months to find another job since being laid off in September. I accepted an offer this afternoon at 12:35 pm, Thornton, CO USA (11/12/07). It's in the Legal Profession.
My Mars is also in Virgo natally, and Mars goes retro this week in my 8th house. My Mars is natally in good aspect. I'm glad I accepted before the retrograde sets in. It's a combination front desk/customer service/admin sort of job. Transiting Jupiter will enter my 2nd house on the 17th to move through a 34 degree house.
Just wondered if the basic general chart of this job shows it will go well (as an over view) or if there's a particular message that stands out?
Just wondering ... my ex the astrologer, used to run off a basic chart when I would get a job and give me advice as to what to, or what not to do ... which would usually end up correct ... some central message, lesson or theme.
I mean this in the most general of ways as I know how busy you are - and only if you have time. :) If not, no worry at all - I understand in advance. I'm just wanting the new job to go well.
Natally I have:
Sun 28 Vir 29 Neptune 1 Sco 07
Moon 29 Leo 27 Pluto 1 Vir 05
Mercury 11 Vir 42 Asc. 22 Sco 59
Venus 8 Sco 48 MC 2 Vir 47
Mars 28 Vir 26 2nd cusp 23 Sag 09
Jupiter 9 Lib 09 3rd cusp 27 Cap 21
Saturn 9 Sag 00 5th cusp 4 Ari 41
Uranus 10 Leo 17 6th cusp 1 Tau 01
You are, as always appreciated!
Blessings to you,
Lori (Flory)

oops ... I hit send too quick, that ended up looking kind of messy ... Only if you have time, regarding the new job. Just hoping all will go well, so far so good. I've been working on it for two weeks.
I accepted an offer this afternoon at 12:35 pm, Thornton, CO USA (11/12/07). It's in the Legal Profession working for a non profit. Starts 11/14.
The job site itself is in downtown Denver. Downtown Denver is especially fun for people watching at lunch time ... about 400,000 work down there.
Natally I have:
Sun 28 Vir 29
Neptune 1 Sco 07
Moon 29 Leo 27
Pluto 1 Vir 05
Mercury 11 Vir 42
Asc. 22 Sco 59
Venus 8 Sco 48

Hi Robert. Glad that you are home and continue to get settled in. Give our love to the family in New Mexico.
Lori- I join you in your prayer for collective peace. It is always good when we can feel compassion for others and look past our own little world. Like everyone I am also feeling the madness, despair, and desperation all around me. I am now watching a lot less news. I also just spent the weekend with a close group of friends. We broke bread together, laughed and sang some songs. My favorite that we sang is "Imagine." We were out on a piece of land where we could here the wind. We must all keep remembering that this really is the last gasp of the old tyrants. It is a fresh wind that blows against the Empire. We Jedi will prevail. So get with some spiritually healthy friends and try to get outdoors when you can.

Hi WHR - Quintiles are unique gifts that come forth, or unique insights, situations, etc. Among other things, they specialize whatever productivity or fulfillments we've experienced.
Hi Star - Well, perhaps you have encountered a lower form of the energy, but we do volunteer to dance with whatever and whoever until we realize it is or is not appropriate for us. I certainly hope "everything" hasn't fallen apart, or your arms and legs don't work, your brain and heart don't work, and you would have had to get another to type your lament. It sure seems like Scorpio has triggered transformation in you! Not to underestimate your suffering, since I know first hand how destructive the energy can be, but it certainly isn't confined to Scorpio. Just shake off your attachment to suffering, examine what you were avoiding seeing, use it to cultivate discernment without prejudice, and believe me, you will survive and go on to better times and relationships. Remember "every silver lining has a touch of gray..."
Hi lori (soo) - Well, though we are programmed to feel alone, we're never alone in this infinite sea of light life. Part of what you're reading can be attributed to Mars in Cancer slowing, which I'll write about soon. And it would seem that you are entering the heart of compassion when you write "Today, I send up a prayer for collective peace and reverence and ask all to be sensitive to these warlike energies and channel them into genuine warrior behavior!" That IS "fighting for light and good on this planet." The collective striving will produce results we cannot yet see or measure, but no energy ever is lost - it ALWAYS has an effect.

Robert,
what you just wrote brought me to tears... that no energy is wasted, even if we cannot see the result we hoped for...
trying to learn about astrology by studying my own chart, and reading online. i find your writing helpful although much of it is far too advanced, still, you are teaching me. thank you for giving this teaching away

Hi Kathryn - You're most welcome. Glad you're moved to remember that everything we do, feel, think, and aspire for does matter, and ultimately has some effect somewhere in time. Energy and matter really are like that! As for the complexity of some articles, hang in there, grab whatever essentials you can, and enjoy the journey. It take years and lifetimes to understand some things. At least we have the Wisdom, the Way, and the Community while we take the trip.
