The conjunction of Jupiter and Pluto is a force majure, and augurs major changes and expansions in whatever sector it falls in our charts. This combines the expansion principle of Jupiter with the seed principle of Pluto, the energies of the Cosmic Santa Claus with the Lord of the Underworld, the Divine Priest(ess)-Healer with the Transpersonal Transformative Pillar of Eternal Shivaic Fire. You can bet that however Pluto is manifesting, it'll be boosted by the Jupiterian benevolence and protection, but if Pluto is not your friend, watch out big time!
Jupiter is visible, Pluto invisible. Jupiter is socio-cultural, while Pluto is waaaay beyond anything personal or able to be bargained with. This conjunction occurs only once every 11-12 years, and initiates a major cycle of new expansions, new promises, new visions, new truths, new adventures in the lives of people, organizations, businesses, governments, and global players. No matter who or where you are, this conjunction will bring blessings as well as radical purifications and transformations.
This conjunction happens at 11:26 am PST on December 11, 2007, and will expand whatever Pluto has promised in 2006-2007. Because Pluto is on the Galactic Center, this period is particularly important in getting signals from a Source outside of our Solar System. You can find out more about the Galactic Center, what it is and what it is not, by going to Pluto is conjunct the Galactic Center 2006 Through 2007 and the companion article Galactic Center Conjunctions by Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto - the Newest Influences What's Coming in 2012.
It occurs at 29 Sag, Pluto's stationary retrograde symbol from March 31-April 1, 2007. We've already been dealing with the seeds and transformational pulses of this degree for months now, so what's coming should not take us by surprise if we've gotten in shape up to now. It is a degree of "desire for fitness," "dependable determination," "persistent endeavor," and "constructive working habits."
Dr. Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, states it shows how familiar experience and social incentives contribute to refining selfhood, and how individuals must offer others a "full self-expenditure" for acceptance into a fellowship. He says the keyword is "Participation," and "when positive, the degree is the calm efficiency which enables man to pour all of himself into the mastery of any situation arising to challenge him." We are told the formula is "Manipulating, Practical, Original, and Generating."
It will obviously impact most strongly those with any planet or significant point around the last few degrees of Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini, and Virgo, as well as those born at the beginning of Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, and LIbra. If you have a planet or point in this span, expect major transformational forces to be your teachers, your liberators, your protectors, or your "healers" that will take away what you no longer need while offering that which will expand your life.
This will profoundly impact those born between the 17th and 22nd of December, March, June, and September. Other groups who are strongly impacted by this conjunction are those born between 8/47-10/47, 3/48-6/49, 10/50-5/51, 7/51-8/51, 12/58-1/59, 7/59-10/59, 4/66-9/66, 1/67-3/67, 10/67-2/68, 7/68-11/68, 4/69-2/70, 9/70-9/72, 4/73-9/73, 12/73-5/74, 1/82-8/85, 2/87-5/87, 11/87-1/89, and 7/89-10/89. This list is obviously not complete. In any case, it affects everyone in one area and another.
In parts 2, 3 and 4 we will take a look at the chart of the conjunction to see primary factors in how it will manifest, some historical precedents, and how it affects each individual sign.

Dear Robert, I'm glad to have your take on this event. It is taking place in my 8th house along with the final pass of my Chiron return in the 10th. Do you have any quick words of advice on how best to handle this energy? The last Jup-Pluto conjunction in 1994 was on my descendant and saw the end of a very important relationship, and I've been processing it ever since, and been alone.

Thank you so much for your generous spirit and wisdom.

Hello Robert,
Well, this is quite interesting!
I jumped in here today and what do you know, having been born a few "minutes" shy of the Galactic Center degree, and with a birthday on 12/17, here I find I'm about to be transformed tomorrow :-)
This is sooooo exciting - I can't wait to see what happens next.
Thanks for all your insightful work Robert - aingel blessings to you and yours this holiday season and for many eons to come.
Still ridin' the crest,
Juliet :-)

I heard this conjunction was going to be a big deal...but I didn't realize I was going to be specifically affected by it (3/21/71)! No wonder I have been feeling weird all weekend. Not necessarily good-weird or bad-weird, either, just...weird. There's some major energetic stuff going on, for sure (and has been ever since the new moon in early Nov). I have not felt 'normal' since then. Although I am getting the impression that the old normal is obsolete and I need to adjust to the 'new' normal. Whatever...it's a learning experience :)

Does that mean June 7, people 1964 will be included

Robert, tranformed into what? A more enlightened person. ESP skill increasing, what? I read that this is report card time, so to speak. Clarifiy, please.
BTW, my girl friends turtal is going crazy extreme activity. If this may mean something, just thought I would mention it.

The Pluto-Jupiter conjunction squares my natal Jupiter and trines my natal Pluto, at the end of my first house, two degrees from my 2nd house cusp. Even though my Sun and angles aren't involved, this feels significant, maybe because Pluto is my ruling planet and I'm going through a huge transformation (although right now it feels more like just a hard time!). Thanks for this post.

Hi Robert, Pars fortune is conjunct Mars at the momentary galactic centre alignement and is in trine to the nodes , does this have any significance to the bigger Saggitarian picture? or does it affect Mars? Thanking you Felita

Hello Robert, I entered Galactic Centre/Astrology on google and managed to find you! I have sat for 2 hours mesmerised by your site. I know you have said (quite rightly) about too much personal stuff or advice, and hope you dont mind my posting, but I feel I have been given a lifeline. Direction has been lost here. Having recently moved - another chapter opens and another little death has occured. GC is conj my NN (2nd house),touching everything else in different houses round the chart. I have my SN tool box Mars and Mercury with Neptune on the ASC (trans Chiron 7 degs off natal position?). I will take your advice in the article and find some silent time and meditate. Only problem I have is deciding if Pluto is my friend! 10th house position - challenging work roles and relationships with authority have seemed the norm. Perhaps my 1st house Saturn hasn't helped! Anyway, thank you for your site, your teachings, and the interaction with other people. You have such tolerance and kindness, it is a pleasure to have found you.
Sent from the heart..

Hi Robert,
I prepared myself for something tough (Pluto/Jupiter scuare N Mars), but instead I did get paid for a project with double of the money we agreed in the beginning! It's less likely than winning lottery, so, could You tell, what in the sky did it?
Sun 11 Aquarius (6th house), Moon 0'30 Aquarius (6), Mercury 25 Cap (5), Venus 24 Cap (5), Mars 28 Virgo (2), Jupiter 16 Taurus (10), Saturn 4 Pisc (7),Uranus 14 Virgo (2), Pluto 15 Virgo(2), Neptune 20 Scorpio (4)
Happy holidays!

Hi Robert,
Hoping you can help me track this moment. I don't know how to find its place in my chart...but feel that its definitely touching my life somehow. A sense of opening up of new creative explorations and possibilities (I can see that I had Pisces in the 8th house (in retrograde) at 23 dgrees and then my Virgo was in Pluto in the second house at 20). I have to say though I think the Mars retrograde is really taking away my mojo! Even though I feel this new energy, I also feel very tentative and more insecure about where it is I'm going with it. Any feedback would help! Looking forward to another reading very soon.
Namaste! Alexandra (Nov 13, 1966, 10:51pm)

Hello Robert,
The Pluto/Jupiter conjunction is trining my Decendant and Jupiter.I am experience great difficulties with my significant relationship since more then one year(Pluto squared my Natal Pluto and was in opposition with my natal Venus). Even my ex is involved in another relationship we could not stop seeing each other and come to the final decision about our future. Is it possible for you to glance at my data and advice me if this transit could bring me a relief and be in my favour? Thank you a lot!

Amazingly, I have a Pluto transiting my Mercury at 29ºSag.
The surfacing of ideas that were previously expanding into my mind exploded during the last few days.
I am getting this idea into writting for the first time on my life. Have you any advice or contact on that?
I am even thinking of writting some astrology book due to amazing influx of powerful ideas I have been having during the last days and hours :)
ruuta: i also have pluto and jupiter now squaring my N mars: look out for a powerful drive, powerful emotions arising now. Best is to transform them into positive things!
Ruby: watch out for Pluto and Jupiter giving you an oportunity for awakening your truly life direction (represented by the north node), possibly related to your self-sufficiency issues, money, self-worth and talents, etc... from the second house

Robert, your articles bring clarity and positivity to the view of the turbulent times ahead, it is refreshing and uplifting. Thank you. And thank you for allowing us to ask questions that you so generously answer! I don't have anyone to ask about astrology, and so fumble along in my learning... (though your articles are fantastic for learning!)
I was wondering how long this conjunction will be in effect, and how should the "other objects" and axes be viewed with this conjunction? This conjunction is conjunct my natal vertex, and photo (asteroid?) in my 5th house and is square transiting photo (I am a photographer in the midst of a big transition, trying to leave working for corporations for something more fulfilling, creative and meaningful, and have been attempting to make this leap since early 2006... money is an issue). Also, my Jupiter is at 22Gemini, would this be considered an opposition to this conjunction? Or, how many degrees away is valid for this opposition to be in effect? (I apologize as I am not an astrologer, but an avid student of astrology...)
Which brings me to my next question, after re-reading your posts about the coming oppositions and squares building up to 2012, most specifically relating to the Saturn/Uranus opp from Virgo to Pisces coming up next year. I have heard that this is directly related to the energy of the 60s (and the American Revolution), do the other factors of what is occurring in 2008 and beyond indicate a similar experience, or how will it differ? My natal Uranus/Pluto conjunction will be conjunct transiting Saturn, and my natal Saturn/Chiron conjunction will be conjunct transiting Uranus, or, my natal Saturn/Uranus opposition from Pisces to Virgo is opposite the transiting Saturn/Uranus opposition from Virgo to Pisces. What would this be called in astrology? Is there a more correct way to describe it? How might this effect me personally? And to top it all off, (and to bring it full circle) in my natal chart this opposition of Saturn/Uranus is square Jupiter in Gemini, which may or may not be square the galactic center based upon the answer to my question above. If it is, what would this be called? And what is the impact? I feel excitement and nervousness for the unfolding times building to 2012, and am trying to release the fear! Thank you for helping in this process.
my birth data is 1/16/66 5:44pm in western Indiana near Chicago (I think this means 11:44AM GMT?)

Callie, slow down, relax and think feel positive.
Atract positive stuff and scenarios, by what you feel.
Saturn in Pluto-Mars axis appears to be a structuring or stabilization of your powerful drives, dilemas, powerful power trips or issues.
It is a very solid basting transformative period.
Ground yourself.
Walk barefoot and spend time in nature.
Uranus aspecting natal Saturn, appears a change on your personal structures, eventually career.
But do not take my words for granted.
Meditate yourself, ground and listen your inner voice and feelings
Posted by: Popplagid | December 11, 2007 at 03:52 PM
And relax about 2012.
The year may pass without anything extraordinary.
Or something may occur.
Anycase, the recommendable approach is always the same.
Calm, inner peace, open heart, freedom of spirit, expression of our soul, and bringing harmony, joy and richness to our lives
Our intuition knows it all
It should guide us towards safe places, choices and decisions!

Hi Lainie - Falling in the 8th house should bring forth seeds of regeneration and radical expansions once you create the space. Be called to renew the quest to BE your Highest Self. Be willing to welcome and attract whatever you need to be the embodiment of your Chiron as you enter a whole new world. Maybe the last conjunction awakened new freedom in relationships, just as this one can awaken new freedom in desires and magnetism. You're already turning inward, seeking a new compassion and understanding. Saturn is helping you restructure productively at the deepest levels of your being over the next few months, and Jupiter should help you feel more optimistic and confident once it hits Capricorn and begins to touch your Moon. And of course, you're welcome. Merry Christmas and Happy Nuevo Ano to you and all who visit this thread!
Hi Juliet - Happy Birthday and Solar Return. Should be a cosmic year indeed. Keep riding! Thanks for the blessings.
Hi Christine - Well, the conjunction will affect us all, just in different ways and proportions. Weird isn't so bad, once we learn to live with the feelings and not do anything to mess up the balance. I'm sure there's "major energetic stuff" going on! Jupiter will expand your life in some fairly big ways once it hits Capricorn, so learn what you must as it will help you navigate the period when Pluto squares your Sun. It's definitely a "new normal" in your life!
Hi Robert S. - No. Though the conjunction falls in your Solar 7th house and will have its own effect, you've been more affected by transiting Uranus square your Sun in 2006-2007. The Spiritual Astrology articles elaborate on that. Transformations are specific to the evolutionary level and awareness of the being who is transformed. Some will in fact become more "enlightened" and/or find inner powers and awarenesses awakened, while others will self-destruct through excesses, unrealistic optimism, or embracing extreme philosophies, religious views, and misadventures. It's report card time, where everything depends on the work we've done up to now.
Hi Moni - Mars rules Aries and Scorpio in this world, while Pluto rules these signs in the invisible world of Spirit. Pluto transits bring things under long term pressure of purification, stripping away all the superficialities and corrosive elements to bring us to the purified core of our Being. The trine to your Pluto opens late Aries, so focus your potency in natural enjoyable forms of playful interactions through listening to the Music of the Spheres to find your unique place in the Cosmic Choir.
Hi Felita - Not sure the context of your reference to PF conjunct Mars. I can state that the Part of Fortune aspects to planets have no effect whatsoever. While the Arabic Parts show as tendencies and zones of influence in the houses, it is widely accepted that only conjunctions through transits and progressions to the Arabic Parts have any manifestation.
Hi Ruby - Welcome to the cantina. Sorry you've momentarily "lost direction." Reminds me of the George Harrison line "If you don't know where you're going any road will get you there." NN conjunct GC shows your line of greatest evolutionary development is along Sag lines which should be expanding radically with Jupiter conjunction your NN. Pluto is your friend once you become familiar with "the underworld" and refuse fear, attachment, aversion, and getting trapped in illusions and funky mental states. Go to your core, see the bigger picture, and embrace the adventure of choosing a larger life. That should help overcome the 1st house Saturn tendency for you to underestimate yourself and your wisdom born of your experience, discipline, and sense of responsibility. By all means, stop back frequently.
Hi Ruuta - Congratulations on receiving what seems a great unexpected blessing! Could very well be Jupiter squaring your Mars, since squares release energies for good or ill depending on what we've done up to that point. And very Happy Holidays to you as well! Kiss the beautiful sky in your part of the world for me.
Hi Alexandra - It is touching your life, offering openings to us all. Mars RX is a fairly deadening influence, so persevere despite the inertia that seems to be killing momentum in many ways. This is a time to slow down, do what must be done without internalizing hurt, aggression, or impatience, and follow through on what you must do. Since Mars is our ruler, of course it has a significant influence. Relax, since the momentum and pace will pick up in January.
Hi Aditya - Will try to compose something relevant and coherent in the near future. I touched on some of it in a previous comment in this stream.
To everyone else in this stream, I've got to go for now, but will be back to continue answering what I can in a little while.

Hi Angela - Pluto square Pluto is a generational thing and definitely nothing personal. It was the opposition to Venus that began to clean up your relationships. You should be getting clear understanding about what productive relational things you can and cannot do with the trine. Jupiter has released a lot of energy into late Pisces, so it really is a time to bring some things to an end in your life, and open to the promise Jupiter in Capricorn offers to your Sun (biquintile, sesquisquare, then trine to it and Pluto) and Asc (sextile then quintile). Saturn is helping you right now through the quintile to your Venus, ruler of your 7th, and sextile your Asc. Try not to "explode sideways" as Jupiter squares your Uranus. The transiting Mercury trine transiting Mars conjunct your Venus throughout January and February will no doubt bring you solid understanding.
Hi Popplagid - Your Mercury has been under Pluto's influence for a while, which will continue through 2008. Jupiter has helped bring them up and out. As a writer for many decades, I suggest you begin by putting your ideas down on paper. Initially don't worry about order other than a rough outline of the flow of chapter topics, but just write everything down, and find the order later on. Writing is more about your audience than you, so try to express whatever with a sense of how it could be understood by those who read your words. Be willing to write the broader topics, and fill in the details as they arise in your mind. Writing is not really very linear, though the final product is.
As for your comment on 2012, the years before and after then will show as extraordinary events due to the major Cardinal squares and oppositions at work. While we always need inner peace, an open mind and heart, and remember to express the freedom of our Soul-Spirit, there are times when we must mobilize and rise to the occasion, which may not feel like a peaceful experience of reality, but will lead to dynamic transformation. There is definitely a rising tide coming that will challenge everyone to get their skills in gear even as they practice inner equipoise. Your comment about intuition guiding us into safe places, choices and decisions is spot on, even though there may be trials while we walk our walk! Remember the heart is a muscle that grows through exercise. We usually become stronger and clearer in times of crisis more than in times of comfort. Not always, but usually.
Hi Callie - Thanks for your praise of the work. This conjunction will be in effect for 12 years. The thing about conjunctions is that usually they don't show as dramatic events at the time, since they mark the very beginning of a process that will have its time of changes, crises, and breakthroughs. I tend not to give the Vertex as much weight as many astrologers, since I do not believe anything is "fated" other than when and where we were born and the timing on changes. Everything else is free will. While the outer invisible Triad show "forces beyond our control," still we have the power to respond to those forces as we choose.
I'm not clear about what you mean by "photo (asteroid)" I know of Ceres, Vesta, Juno, Pallas and even Chiron. While your Jupiter is opposed by this conjunction, Pluto opposed your Jupiter was far closer in years past. This should be bringing good things to the surface, but with Mars RX you may want to wait until late January or even mid February to make your next big push, since Mercury will trine your Jupiter while going SRX. March should be good since Mercury and Venus will both trine your Jupiter then. I usually give planetary oppositions an 8-10 degree orb, depending, and oppositions to/from the Sun and Moon a slightly wider orb. I tried to address the similarities between the American Revolution and now in a couple of articles you can find through site googling "revolution".
The coming opposition should be related to the 60s, since those years had Uranus and Pluto in Virgo (Saturn in Pisces opposed both off and on from 1964-1967), and now Saturn should help to crystalize that energy in a contemporary form. Of course, Saturn was also in Virgo square Neptune in 1979-1980, which brought us Republican party hypocritical double dealing with Iran while espousing "no deals with terrorists." Your planetary positions will be highly energized by the coming opposition, offering you great power to help resolve the ongoing tensions since you've lived with them natally for your whole life. Your higher purpose and power should be coming to surface over the next few years. "Flipped oppositions" is how I would describe them. It will affect you too many ways for me to describe here. One significant way is that your genius will be crystalized, and your security systems and sense of purpose will be revolutionized. You've had a Grand Mutable cross going while Jupiter squared and opposed your Mutable T-square, showing fragmentation and also your challenge to be more conscious in your sense of spiritual discipleship. You definitely now know what humanity as a whole must deal with eternally, since it has been said by a Master that the Mutable Cross is humanity's burden. The Fixed Cross is what every true disciple on any path must embrace, and supposedly the only One ever to master the Cardinal Cross is the World Teacher in each era. Definitely release any and all fear, since it's a useless but very dangerous disease. You may want to site google "fear" to check out the many articles I've written addressing this primary emotion that is the source of widespread suffering. As for your birth data, depending on where you were born, that Winter showed most of the NW part of Indiana using CST, which is 6 hours earlier than GMT, so you're probably correct.
Hi again Lainie - Thanks, and I promise to kiss the New Mexico sky for everyone here. The snow already glistens on the mountains and the skies are brilliantly blue and clear.
Hi Felita - Sure. Most of astrology is about figuring out the relative importance of the "10,000 things" that all seem to be the tools of Astrology.

Hi Robert,
I'm having very heavy and difficult times since end of November. I feel like i'm losing control in every aspect of my life and especially in my relationship. I struggle to keep the energy positive but it keeps on throwing me to the opposite side.
In the reading you did for me you mentionned that Pluto is very important and that i'm to expect great things starting the end of this year.
What am i doing wrong, what's happening? What do you mean by "making Pluto my friend"?
It seems as if i'm sabotaging everything that's working for me now.
Please, would you bring some light to this?
My DOB 9/15/1971, I have Pluto in 29° virgo in the 4th house, my boyfriend's 11/17/1972 Sun & Asc scorpio!!!
Thank you.

Sunshine: Pluto transiting your mercury in 4Th house certainly means a powerful regeneration and coming to yourself, to your deepest emotions, to your roots, and therefore it will affect your foundations and your family and personal life.
Create your profound roots. Maybe some old stuff or things will have to be riden off. Thats Pluto. And your boyfriend will certainly help you bringing this plutonian transformation. I shall say you can be lucky since he can really help you going deeper on this transformation. Flow with it.
Posted by: Popplagid | December 13, 2007 at 02:22 AM
Hi Sunshine - There are in fact many aspects of our lives that are "out of control," regardless of what's going on astrologically. However, in this case Mars RX is killing momentum in every area. I have had to effort two to three times as hard to accomplish what I used to even a few weeks ago. Still, I'm practicing perseverance and patience, and getting things done one step at a time. You may be unnecessarily pessimistic thanks to Saturn conjunct your Mercury and square your Jupiter and Saturn. Be compassionate, train your mind and speech, study, read, write, keep your mind on objective things rather than subjective concerns, and think bigger without so much discouragement. Examine your values and ambitions to make sure they are supporting each other rather than misaligned. Saturn is testing you to know how to overcome getting discouraged by opening to a wider and longer view.
Also remember that it takes two to make a relationship, and when times are most difficult we get to directly experience the strengths and weaknesses of our partner, and see if they are or are not willing to rise to the occasion. Detach, and examine what gives rise to the negative reactions. Is it circumstances, is it you, or is it the other? In any case, even if you cannot stay positive then do nothing and sit still so you don't make it worse. (Remember here that a lack of sunshine in Winter does affect some of us more dramatically than others). If you're in the Southern Hemisphere of course this doesn't apply. Again, regardless of how you are feeling, it may be that you are doing nothing "wrong," and a time to see how much your partner is willing to rise to the occasion. I'm intending on writing an article about making the shadow planets our friends, so be patient and I'll try to cook something up next week or so.

Hi Robert.
I'm just waiting for your 4th comment on this conjunction, anyway, I can't see it touches anything of significance in my Natal Chart.
It falls in the very midst of my Sagittarian/Capricornian 2nd (self-gained values and properties) and the only aspect it makes is a QUINCUNX (exact) with my Sun Cancer in IX (ruler of Xth).
It does not seem like my income is going to raise dramatically ha ha...just joking.
A very isolated conjunction in my case. Can you give me any insight on the meaning of this aspect -this QUINCUNX-?. It's the only one I foresee...
I keep on reading your series.
Thanks a lot.

Thank you Robert, your advice is most appreciated.
I look forward to the article.
Thank you Popplagid, i agree with you that my boyfriend is unconsciously helping me go through the transformations. But again as Robert put it, the way he'll rise to the occasion will transform the relationship itself.
And Robert thank you again for this wonderful site connecting with you and everyone there is like having some sunshine during this cold and grey winter back here in Paris ;-)

Mars RX is really slowing down every step in my job. Lol
Its better to meditate or cook than to stay longer in the work
And it even has the advantage of calming down our emotions, grounding them!
Happy Cancer times! The moon rejoices!

Robert,
I just got caught up reading your Fiery Inferno posting; sounds very apocalyptic!
(BTW, Since I changed everything and made my move to northern CA this summer, life has been extremely benevolent and lucky...it's been quite amazing, actually.) I now have Jupiter conjunct Pluto on my IC, and soon I'll have Jupiter conjunct Pluto conjunct natal Venus in the 4th, opposite natal moon in the 10th. What to expect? xo, COF
Posted by: crawl or fly | December 13, 2007 at 11:25 AM
Hi Henry - Well, it does biquintile early Leo and sesquisquare mid-Leo. Quincunx is "expansion through sacrifice," as well as adjustment.
Hi Sunshine - Maybe some light and love will engulf Paris this Christmas.;-)
Hi Popplagid - Slow almost doesn't describe it. Definitely better to meditate or cook than work, work, work.
Hi COF - Of the 5 drives moving stuff out of LA, the fiery inferno was definitely one of the two more surrealistic. It sure seemed apocalyptic at the time. Glad Northern CA is good for you. Sounds like you may have found a home, at least for 12 years. Jupiter conjunct Venus? What's not to like? (Well, we just won't go there....) In any case, enjoy NoCal. I also loved it at times.

Robert,
Did not know you had lived in northern CA! I'm glad you are now out in the beautiful desert--I am very fond of that area as well.
I forgot to ask you--What would you say are your 3 favorite astrology books, the best 3 books, in your trusted opinion? COF

Hi Robert
Thank you so very much for your comments. I had to laugh when you mentioned the Sag energy (nn) as a direction. Not being used to Sag energy in my life, I had to think long and hard about a new relationship (which is for keeps) (I am Taurus sun!) with a Sag - and his moon is cnj Pluto in Leo - and decided yes this would be a real big challenge and good for me!? He makes me laugh so that is good.
kindest regards and seasons greetings to you,Robert and to everyone out there!

Hi Crawl or Fly - Yes, I lived in Petaluma for two years, commuting back and forth to LA and NY. Definitely felt like a hamster on a treadmill at times. As for the 3 best books, that's tough. Depends on what you want. For my students, I used to recommend "Astrology for the Millions" by Grant Lewi, "Keywords" by Paul Grell, and "Handbook for the Humanistic Astrologer" by Michael Meyer. I would also recommend "The Astrologer's Handbook" by Sakoian and Acker, "Planets in Transit" by Robert Hand, "An Astrological Mandala" and "The Astrology of Personality" by Dane Rudhyar, and "Karmic Astrology Vol 2 - Retrogrades and Reincarnation" by Martin Schulman. Much depends on which stuff you want to explore, since there are many other venerable works by those I've already mentioned as well as Marc Edmund Jones, Carl Payne Tobey, Liz Green, Alexander Ruperti, Charles E.O. Carter, Alan Leo, William Lilly, Sepharial, Raphael, and a bunch more.
Hi Ruby - Sure. May Sag keep you laughing, exploring, visioning, and adventuring! And may you have the best of holiday seasons as well!

Hi, Robert I have a couple of questions when you have some time. That pluto conjunct the galatic center which is at 29 degrees sag falls into my fifth house.... Would effect my sun/moon midpoint at 1 degree cap as well??? I have a few planets there as well including my south node in sag at 22 degrees....but mecury is there at 4 d cap, and moon and some other minor stuff and my juno is also in that house but i think that it would not have any influence on the south node or the juno cause its too far away for any kind of influence, but perhaps there is something going on with the sun/moon midpoint....though with midpoint astrology i am still not so familiar with how it works in natal charts.....
but one person said that with pluto on that it would create some kind of power struggle???? not sure how to interpret that
what do you think???
thanks for the bringing this back to our attention

HI ROBERT - you said that the conjunction of Jupiter and Pluto is a force majure, and augurs major changes and expansions in whatever sector it falls in our charts. How would I know where it falls in MY chart? Thank you

Hi Micheline - To some extent, but midpoints generally have an orb of 1 degree max. The conjunction exerts an influence on any planet within about 8-10 degrees, depending on if it's in Sag or Cap. Definitely whenever a planet exactly transits a midpoint a blend of those two planets is triggered. While Pluto could possibly bring power struggles, it could also bring spiritual transformation and awareness of the seeds of "economy of energy" futures.
Hi Larissa - If your Asc is earlier than 29 Leo, it's in your 5th house using an equal house system.
