In Parts 1 and 2 we explored general Spiritual factors of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto bringing forth our Higher Self as we stand individually and collectively at the threshold of a new era. I offered points of particular importance due to major aspect patterns going on in January and February. Today we continue to explore more about the pressure we're under and within, what it means, and how this is impacting us all.
From January through July, Pluto occupied 28 and 29 Sagittarius, a span we haven't experienced in 250 years, mas o menos. More on the meaning of this a few paragraphs down. In mid-July-August it retrograded back through degrees we first experienced February through May 2006, and again December 2006-January 2007, bringing us feedback from external and subconscious sources about how well we're handling our Pluto purification challenge, and come to awareness of what needs to be adjusted by what's coming to surface.
It went stationary direct at 27 degrees Sagittarius on September 7 and occupied that point through the end of October before it again resumed its movement through 28-29 Sag in November-December 2007. It now enters the unknown zones of 30 Sag and 1 Capricorn in January and February 2008, sure to be a moment of Cosmic shift. Pluto hasn't been in this span since 1761-1763.
For those who want to consider more about the time that Pluto was in this span, when you're done reading this article you can go to Revolutionary Times Are Upon Us - Parallels in Pluto Cycles (watch for 2012 and beyond!) and Why this is the New American Revolution and our Astrological connection to our Founding Fathers.
In September, Neptune moved retrograde from 21 to 20 Aquarius, where it went stationary direct the last day of October. This degree was a previous station, and has been bringing us all "rewards and gifts from Spirit" since early 2007. In Autumn 2007, Neptune retraced ground from its station at 23 Aquarius, the first time it hit that degree in over 150 years. This profoundly affected the atmosphere, showing us all lessons of resilience, perseverance, gratitude and appreciation we're learning to use to ground the aptitude to "pick up and deliver spiritual power" fairly soon, definitely in February 2008.
Due to things unveiled in 2006, we were challenged to rise to some occasion, show our strength, and use everything at our disposal to deal with "an exaggeration of life-problems" revealing our truth and expanding us. To the degree we did this, we've been reaping rewards from Spirit for moving through crises with courage and strength. In the period since May 2007 we were in virgin territory on a collective consciousness level.
Whenever the outers enter a zone they haven't occupied for a whole cycle, it introduces new dimensions of transpersonal experience. All three of the outer Triad are now moving forward, and while Pluto has already entered areas unknown for 240 years, Uranus and Neptune will soon enter the next phase of their "unknown zones."
Summer 2007 continued lessons of building adequate vehicles to demonstrate spiritual awareness and power where we could find an ability to do things beyond what we thought. Summer was a training period of self-induced movement and self-discipline. We also learned to practice appreciation and gratitude which served us in late 2007.
We had to eagerly learn to live more fully, richly, and warmly, and by late Summer we were learning strength and resilience despite disappointments in relationships. Many retired from adverse situations to find Spirituality. What we learned provided strength for this period of late December through late January.
Uranus entered a zone in Spring 2007 that it hasn't occupied for over 80 years. This was a threshold state of discovery, revolution, and individuation, after which it was retrograde through November, and challenged us to consolidate the awakenings of recent months and see how we could become more autonomous, inventive, broad-visioned and connected to the life around us.
The broader backstory: In 2005-2006 we awakened to a new "higher law" that required that we "walk on" and move into a greater spiritual individuality. This opened the doors to enter a new way of life if we demonstrated courage in confronting ordeals in our search for a higher truth challenging us to stand up for our ideals.
In 2007 we got the results of facing inner fears and becoming more physically, emotionally, and mentally ready, willing and able to move into a larger realm. We proved our worth or qualifications and received rewards, techniques of protection and camouflage, as well as opportunities to rehearse our new individuality in dramatic or important circumstances.
Spring 2007 Uranus helped us feel stronger, with potential for inspiration and a "deep, vibrant realization." In the silence many found a gift to offer to society, something that filled some collective need. This was a rehearsal for what we experienced in October when Uranus echoed that span, but with a greater receptivity to collective energies and/or the "ripples in the pond" returning to show us a greater individuation.
Spring 2007 was a time of self-improvement, rebirth and renewal of faith, and we reaped the results of these spiritual efforts in September. After revising some ideas back to source, many found themselves presenting some part of themselves to a public for approval, applause, and wider recognition, which opened up a new environment and wider view in August.
The effect of Uranus going retrograde at 19 Pisces just after the Summer Solstice dominated July and early August. It's a degree that released many from old "race" karma, and we could understand recent and future events with intelligence, synthesizing our previous survey of life into a form of Soul energy strengthening us physically.
This set the theme through all of 2007 and 2008-2009 as Uranus continues to make this degree significant in our charts. We have been and will continue to be "instructed by our Master," so that by accepting our excellence and effectiveness we can move through the unstable imbalances with relative ease. Continue to eliminate all that diverges from your special skills that ultimately are leading you to perfect and enjoy your individuality, on whatever levels you can do this.
There are many dynamic aspects in January and February made by the inner planets to Pluto in Sagittarius and Capricorn, Neptune in Aquarius, and Uranus in Pisces. During January and February, the Sun is opening its yearly cycle to Pluto while ending its cycle with Neptune. Though no significant aspects are formed by the Sun in January other than the septile with Uranus in the middle of the month, of major importance is the period when the Sun will trigger the Grand Irrationality when it conjuncts Neptune and septiles Pluto at the Galactic Center in February. You can find more about this through exploring other articles on this site about this important influence on us all.
The Sun is opening its yearly cycle with Pluto, and closing its cycle with Neptune and Uranus. Whenever it makes a septile, biseptile, or triseptile to Neptune or Pluto, it triggers The Grand Irrationality. The same thing happens whenever any planet crosses through the 7 "hot zones" defining this life-altering configuration.
These periods get fairly wired and edgy, and people are stranger than usual, making crucial decisions whether they realize it or not. It's the obsessive-compulsive factors in people that make these times most difficult, since things make less sense than usual, which makes almost no sense at all.
In January, Mercury crosses through the Aquarius zone of the Grand Irrationality, and then retrogrades back through the Aquarius zone of the Grand Irrationality in early February. The Sun crosses through the zone in mid-February, powering up whatever signs and signals are indicated by Mercury, the herald, moving through this zone in January and early February.
In December, Mercury moved, with the Sun in Sag, through the conjunctions at the Galactic Center while opposing Mars RX, spoken of in several articles pulled together here. Now that Mercury, Sun, and Jupiter have moved into early Capricorn, they form sextiles and quintiles with Uranus which should produce productive and unique forms that can be sources of productivity which should continue into March.
Venus moves from early Sag through mid-Aquarius these months, triggering the Grand Irrationality when it conjuncts Pluto and septiles Venus. During this time it also forms the waning quintile, sextile, and semisquare to Neptune. Late January and early February it makes favorable aspects with Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus, indicating favorable relationships, meetings, and financial dealings.
Mars makes no major aspects to any of the invisible Outers during January and February other than the opposition to Pluto which won't be exact for the last time in this sequence until early 2008. We're now done with the oppositions of December 2007 and the polarizations, realizations, and momentum-killing energies of that lovely holiday season. We are now on the other side of the Mars RX energies that bogged a lot of things down, and can begin to move forward, confident that we can accomplish more than one thing a day, if that.
We had a separate but major irrationality system at work over the holidays, thanks to the configuration involving Mercury and Venus. Even though things were even weirder than usual for a few days, overall the Grand Irrationality being triggered 7 times a month is helping us to get in shape, claim some power, and show us how we've been given and will be given "rewards from Spirit."
Current frictional aspects from planets to Pluto show us elements of our unique song and economy of energy, narrowing our focus to enlarge our vision, and help us revise our ideas through the nurturing power of whatever Wisdom-form we are given so we may assert our power in public situations.
Current frictional aspects to Neptune help us find courage to move into unknown areas as well as ritual forms of connecting with a more powerful life force. We are shown which way the winds of destiny are blowing even as we are trained to learn techniques that will help us pick up and deliver a higher, spiritual power.
Current frictional aspects to Uranus are helping us get a new inspiration that can help us in forms of collective rebirth so that we may put ourselves "out there" in front of a public to show what we are able to do. We are now using our wisdom to "do our thing" for the world.
I'll address how the outer planets are affecting individual signs in part 4 of this series.

dear robert,
i'm hoping you can shed light on something.. i seem to not be able to find an Available man. every guy i meet - that i'm interested in, that's interested in me, only wants one thing - sex. or they're cheating or playing the field and think i'd be fun for a while. none of them actually want a commitment with me, no matter how i deal with/approach/enter the subject its usually predetermined.
i don't want this and its been continual for about 10 years or more.. will this trend ever ... EVER ... change?

Robert you described very wellthe ins and outs of my life this past year. I still do not care for the irrationality thing 7 times per month. But the gods have not consulted me and I have to curb the irrational belief that I can influence them.

i love your columns, i see so much truth in them that relates to my inner life cycle. i see how things are shaking up, and how the irrationality is breaking sh*t up. i wish it would smash something together instead of break it apart.
and currently, ya know, i just can't seem to get involved with an available man no matter how hard i try(or not try). i keep attracting and being attracted to the unavailable.
can u give me a clue robert.. its so frustrating i feel like my ideals of what i think of relationships are so old fashioned and that everyone hasn't any moral ethics when i comes to personal relationships and sex. its downright disheartening.

Dear Robert After absorbing this and realising all that planetary interaction whirling us all around, opened a book."Man is the maker of his own destiny in the sense that he has the freedom of choice as to the manner in which he uses his freedom. But he is no controller of results" Mahatma Ghandi. Helps us remain responsible yet not trying to control our lives. I am looking at Saturn it seems.Just one question, when it comes to numerology and astrology working together and someones ruling no. is 7 would that incline a person to be more orientated to Saturn's lessons? Thanking you Aum Namah Shivaya.

Dear Robert,
Always enjoy your articles, brilliant!!
I have a question please. I wonder why 30 Sag - 1 Cap is called the 'unknown zone'. What does it mean? My ascendent is between these degree (0.20' Cap), would you please shed some light on how it will affect me this year in terms of relationship. Many thanks.
Warmest regards,
Sophia

Hi Mary - When it's time to fish, then fish. If you can't fish, mend your nets. If you can't fish and your nets are mended, tend to your boats. If you can't fish and your nets and boats are taken care of, then party! Rationality is very definitely not all it's cracked up to be, and utterly useless when we're on the other side of life remembering how to be Eternals without our 5 senses and our minds to use as navigational tools.
Hi Felita - As you and others know, I believe Mohandas K. Gandhi was a genius who set the gold standard for all of us for a long time to come. We only control our response to things, not the outcome except to whatever degree our response directly affects that. We are not islands, and often the free will of another, or forces beyond our control, determine what happens. That's why our power of affirmations, aka "the secret" does in fact have limitations, and we do NOT have final control over what reality shows up at our doorstep. We may determine how we experience it and respond to it, but there are many aspects of our lives that in fact we did not create, despite popular rumors to the contrary. Number 7 does require that we learn Saturn's lessons, but with time, experience, determination and maturity, they are easily learned, demonstrated, and mastered. That's what "making Saturn our friend" is all about.
Hi Sophia - It is only an "unknown zone" because Pluto has not been there in about 250 years, which is beyond the physical memory of anyone on Earth other than Babaji, the Venetian Master, the Christos, the Mahachohan, and other venerable Jivanmuktas on that level of consciousness. Your body, self image, and instinctive self awareness are now being touched by the Eternal Purifying Pillar of Fire, allowing you to cast off all lesser impurities in your life. You have a unique capacity to become a world leader in some area due to that Ascendant degree if you are willing to accept the power, authority, and responsibility coming to you this lifetime. Welcome opportunities to realize and apply your unique skills, and accept relationship only with that which shows you the way to the manifestation of your Higher Self. You've already begun the adventure. Stay alert to movement in early March through early May, and get ready to deepen, broaden, and mature your higher knowledge now that Saturn has entered your 9th house. Be patient as you learn greater truths than you've known before now over the next two years. By late May you'll be liberated in some way and free to pursue your work of destiny. July-August accelerates your learning, and you get a taste of what's to come long range by late August into September. The end of 2008 and early 2009 sets your course for a long time to come.

Dear Robert are you a superhuman, You are the master of accurate response. Thanking you for the clarity. Yes I can see now that it was personalising the astrology again , yet it was lots to absorb and I did spontaneously open the book and thought in some misunderstanding of the intricasies , I needed simplification of it. And not into any "new age yuppy hippie books". Of course your clarification of Ghandis Knowledge far exceeds my Spontaneos collection of bits and pieces. I am an intuitive and i was a fatalist so I believe we discover and use affirming words that suit the individual at the time. That Uranus Leo I think maybe trining Gemini Mars. So as I sit and wonder why I am at the computer at 1.20am, and the people that are disciplined and fresh of brain are awake at the crack of dawn, if its dawn., My reality being a daughter who works late and a son who gets up at 6 am. I am not an island even physically.Your moon in Aquarius (lover of globally). This is good! Have a beautiful day everyone waking up over there. Aum Shanti Felita.

Dear Robert and others, if ever there was a reaction caused by my misinterpretation of a response than this is it. As I just discovered the moon was in opposition to my natal Neptune at the time, so it has proved that transit. Alas. It is so true that Saturn has to be fully intergrated to our understanding of ourselves, so the outer generational planets can work effectively. Sorry for any disorder in the classroom. Thanking you again. Will stay learning and on topic. Aum Shanti Felita

Mine life is full of dashing and crashing to make a living?
Why ?Any ideas about my career pathway.
Would be grateful if you could throw some light on my future karma. What do I need to do to be at peace?
My date of birth is 8-9-61 at Mumbai

well pluto is now starting to conjunct my sun/moon midpoint which is at cap 1d in the fifth house....
but neptune is about to oppose my ac in leo at 23 and that means a conjunct to my dc at 23 aquarius....someone told me that this is not good for starting any new relationships and that this means that i should not get too deeply involved with anyone....which is kind of sad to me cause i have not had a relationship for ten years and i am not counting the mr.invisilbe who lives farther away because as far as i am concerned this is not what i want.....
i really want to meet someone new
so i am not sure what to think

Dear Robert, thank you so much for the reply regarding my ascendant degree between Sag 30-Cap 1. You mentioned I have a unique capacity to become a world leader in some area. Would you please give me some pointers - where or which (house/planet) I should look from my natal chart that indicate the area(s) of which I should focus on?? For the past few months, I feel really restless, as if something big is going to happen...but annoyingly I couldn't figure out what it is. I have been thinking of studying a new subject and hope in 2 years time I will set up my own business. Once making profit, I would like to donate some profit to orphans related charity caused. But I don't know which field to go into. I'm SO grateful of your advice. Can't thank you enough.

Hi Robert, I have posted on my blog two analysis from several astrological historic cycles, the most recently were Jupiter-Uranus upcoming in 2010-11 and Jupiter-Neptune coming in 2009.
I foresee major scientific and technological breakthroughts for both 2009 and 2011, despite the erratic times and changes over the world and societies. Take a look. These transits coincide with such things such as start of internet, first computers, transatlantic flights, first skyscraper, genetic discoveries, first moon landings...

Check it on my blog www.astrotransits.blogspot.com
(I forgot to mention the blog link in my last comment!!!)

Hi Felita - Thanks for your kind words. We all are wiser together than we are individually, and all of us know more than any one of us. I just happen to have studied the life, philosophy, and tactics of Gandhi for many years, so I have accumulated a body of knowledge, by no means complete, of what this political master of non-violent non-cooperation with evil was all about. Don't know what "disorder in the classroom" you mean, but it's all good. I think you're a diligent student of many things.
Hi bobby - I hope you both can find ways to demonstrate your divine gifts and skills to your world in ways you each are contributors to your common good. I believe when we are open to being guided into actions that could result in a greater good down the road we are ALWAYS given opportunities by Spirit to fulfill our potential, so open, welcome, stay alert, and adapt! We all have to learn multiple skills in a lifetime, and you never know when a part time low paying gig could land you in a situation where you get all the free training you need to become a television producer and director, which is what happened to me 22 years ago. Open your imagination, and stop fearing! Site google "bad karma" or "bad yoga" and you should find it. Also go to the article about Saturn conjuncting your planets (in your case the Sun) and read that as well. You should be able to do well in anything to do with communications, media, or "rich" things behind the scenes, like roasting coffee or making chocolate Moon rising shows that something to do with the public is favored, like be a spokesperson for something. You'll probably always have to do more than one thing at a time. In any case, self pity and a defeatist attitude will not help get the job done. Illuminate, integrate, and figure out what fits where and what does not fit in your solar system of your life.
Hi Micheline - Stop worrying about long term outer planet transits, as they are beyond yours or anyone else's ability to control. Neptune on the 7th can bring a dream come true if you're clear about your ideals. It can bring a form of your fondest inner hope, especially in this very grounded Earth year.
Hi Sophia - It's the Ascendant degree. Focus on self-purification with Pluto there. Establish the foundations for long term achievement, kill out the seeds of nonproductivity and fear. Go into whatever field turns you on! Get diverse training, and go for power positions, management opportunities, organizational training. Ask for Spirit to make a demonstration of which way to start, don't expect too much while you're training, and eventually you'll find yourself in a position to do great good. Your Venus and any Libra instincts will be involved.
Hi Popplagid - Will take a look. Right now am on the road doing talks, charts, clearing some things up, so it'll probably be next week.

Hi Robert and others.
Today I felt really lonely and heavy. I am having Pluto conjunting Mercury and squaring Mars. I feel such heaviness coming. My Neptune is approaching my chart's rising degree. I am feeling disaponting observing my dreams can be unrealistic and that continuing living the normal life (job, relationhip, friends) can be so little heartly inspiring and confining. How to reassure myself and serve others when we feel really sensitive? Meditation works (even for Pluto) but what to do when you must work, relate and all the else. Two inspiring movies were the way of the peaceful warrior or the fountain!
Neptune wants to meditate. Pluto want us to transform.
Posted by: Popplagid | January 19, 2008 at 02:18 PM
Hi Popplagid and Robert,
Sorry you're feeling heavy. Though thinking about your blog and what you wrote, if similar energy that was in the 1960s is coming these next few years, that sounds like good vibes. But you also mention the 1920s and the 1760s (native american wars)...that's indeed heavy stuff. I guess I'm not clear if you're saying that all three of these "times" will spring up again in the next few years (as one big energy boost) or if I should read your blog in another way.
All fruitful stuff for discussion. Hope you feel lightness again soon.

Hi Popplagid.. I am commenting here, as you have once before for me. I am no expert, yet feel you are being hard on yourself. To me Pluto conj Merc is the detective mind trying to unravel its productivity and challenged to act upon it(Mars). I try and see Neptune as its positive manifestation of revealing the collective subconsciouss dreams of Aquarius at the moment. Although Neptune seems evasive, I think it likes its 12th house. Pluto in Capricorn has and is transforming our concepts on what we should be responsible for in the bigger scheme of things. Just another view on Planets. I go by my feeling . At present Pluto 1' is squaring my moon Libra 1',It will be there fo a while.Hoping Pluto may burn out any negative distractions of my moon. Live in Now. Tommorow will change. Have a wonder-ful day.Aum Shanti Felita

Dear Robert
You are right I've only been in the media but now I am getting jobs where they want me to be a spokesperson --- something I am resisting. You really are a damn good astrologer to figure it out so effortlessly. I've also changed jobs and would like to run my company again.I got busted in the dotcom thing.
The point is I'd like to settle down but as you say, some people just have to chop and change.I don't think I've been rigid--- in fact I've been too open and welcoming.
The point is not about self pity at all. The whole effort is to get back on track with a minimum of wasted effort, and yes, take in as many experiences into the bargain. What I'd like to do is run a bookshop not make chocolate /coffee!Maybe that has to do with my exalted mercury in the Libra third house with Mars.
Thank you.

Hi Dear Elizabeth,
Thankfully, thanks my Sag sun, today I am feeling much better.
Still Pluto, but with much more faith today.
Elizabeth, I do not know like you, what will happen for sure around 2010.
Certainly I feel Pluto in Capricorn will change society and nations, will bring the bad things to surface and plant seeds that will probably sprout around 2020, remembering a bit the formation of USA and French Revolution, so anything is a guess.
Uranus will square Pluto, for six years, since the sixties, and it will be in the same positions such it was prior to the formation of the USA. So, I believe (and Uranus will enter Aries) that this would signal a new society unfolding, a new way around the world. Let's hope that conflits are not big, but whatever happens, a new springtime as Robets says, will probably be around us in 2020.
Pluto entering Aquarius by then, will push forward humanitarian issues, issues of freedom, the people, the enviroment, the global community and respect for the individual, and transformation through science.
Curiosly,I do think some sort of big scientific breakthrough shall be around us by 2009 and 2011, when Jupiter passes by Neptune and by Uranus. It ca remind us a bit the sixties, but maybe in a different way. Religions will probably fall (Neoptune enter Pisces) but many others will probably spring forward their new age free spiritual ideas and feelings. I think it will be more individual like than he sixties, since the planets will be now in Aries than in Libra. Again rebelion but more of a differen kind (now comes the 1930s to remember us Uranus in Aries and I sort think politicians and people shall be much more interested in discarding old stuff and starting anew). But I am just interpretating what I feel.
Felita: true thankfull words for you. Pluto squaring my Moon opened up a new way of relating to my feelings and it bring me out of solitude to more relating. I bless it although these were dense introspective times.
Hari Om and Light!

Hi Popplagid - Sorry you felt those things, but at least you're aware that you were and are striving to overcome the tendency to go there. Disappointment can serve to spur us forward if we use the opportunity to shift directions. Living a "normal life" isn't all it's cracked up to be!;-) I suppose that's why I gave up believing anything in my life could ever be "normal" a long time ago, and haven't really ever regretted it, since I found my own unique life path that like it or not, is truly mine! All kinds of things can help us redirect unfortunate feelings if we practice mindfulness and compassion. Sometimes the reassurance can only be found in being in the NOW and stop measuring things against past and future. If you're breathing, loving, and can laugh, then you're probably doing better than a good number of people in the world. You may want to rent "Defending your Life" with Albert Brooks and Meryl Streep to get a great refresher! And to echo your last words, the future is very bright, but giving birth to a new era isn't necessarily pain free. However, we will see such miracles and wonder in the next two decades as to make all this striving in darkness all the sweeter when we see the dawn.
Hi Elizabeth - Thanks for your kind words, but it wasn't me who was experiencing heaviness, but popplagid. That's the problem with the names under the comment instead of above them! Still, thanks for sending the compassionate thought. 60s weren't very good vibes, but lots of social ferment, as were the 20s and the true revolution brought about by the automobile. There was a lot of discontent in both eras due to disillusionment with war, whether previous or happening. And yes, the 1760s were the beginning of the long term betrayal of the Native Americans by our budding colonial autocracy. It's not so much the forms of those times will show up again, but we will see lots of veteran discontent with how they're treated (like the 20s), we'll see a lot of young people sick and tired of the military industrial complex running the show demanding a voice in public affairs, like the 60s, and it very well could be the beginning of a larger revolution in human consciousness like the middle to late part of the 18th century. And I promise I'm feeling as light as I can given the density of our times!
Hi bobby - Why not open to attracting yourself to whatever would feel good, give a sense of growth, and provide you with an adequate income while you're figuring out how to live in harmony with your process? I've gone through many job functions in my life, as have you, and it's hard not to compare what is with what could or should be. I believe you could run your own company again, but you need to be centered and positive or it will be a drain. I meant nothing negative regarding rigidity, but sometimes we can be rigid in our flexibility and openness, denying ourselves what's good in our need to be an image of something, or conversely, we may need to be flexible in how firm we are in our focus. I hope I'm being clear. Also didn't mean to make pity a personal thing. I believe any time we fall into feeling like we are not capable of completely taking care of ourselves and being and doing well in our lives in some way it's ego indulging unhelpful feelings, which while natural won't help us feel stronger or more capable. Bookstores are wonderful, having had one a while ago, but it's a rough way to make a living, given the small margins and huge competition from the big boxes. But they are a great way to build community if there is one to be found.

Hi Robert
My moon is 29 Sag
Sun 15 Pisces
Mercury 21 Aquarius
Asc 10 Pisces
Can I do anything else but surrender to being grandly irrational?
Posted by: Rosamund | January 21, 2008 at 12:21 AM
I see! Well, I'm quite tired of the military industrial complex so I welcome the change and even though it does sound painful, in the end, it will be refreshing (I look forward to 2020).
Thanks for your insights P and R, and I'm glad we're all staying as light as possible! We need to help counterbalance all the heaviness. :-)

Hi Elizabeth and Robert,
I also send you now all the compassionate heartly feelings and energy.
Those three now-distant past days were cloudy dark couds that were necessary to refresh some emotional waters over me.
Sometimes its really necessary and I bless since we get reassurement from our inner natures, when overcoming these heavy days that sometimes occur.
Let's look forward to the following years. Whatever it happens, we have decision at least over our times and emotions and trends, and I really look forward for a splendid beautiful time of change by 2009-12. At least for most people with good hearts, I think although with some challenges, these will be rather awakening and powerfull times due to both Uranus and Pluto.
I hereby send you my light from inside my heart :-)

robert, i'm curious...
i've been reading about pluto in capricorn entering a new zone on the 25th.... and in my pie chart, i have venus/moon in the 12th house. Pluto in Scorpio hides in my 5th house, and now i'm wondering what affect Pluto in Capricorn will have planting itself in my 7th house.
Capricorn being all structured and ambitious and Pluto being all underworld and dark.
it might be a t-square of plutonic forces on my pie in the sky chart.. got any clues....?

Hi Rosamund - It sure seems like you're a being of a higher destiny! Your life, habits, mind, and way of coordinating your life have no doubt been put through changes the past year or two. Surrendering may be the best thing you could do.
Hi Elizabeth - Well, the MIC has been the worst thing ever to curse our beautiful Earth, so I too am "tired" of its nefarious influence. But then again, that's why I quit political blogging. I'm looking forward to the day when there is "war no more." But of course, that will only happen when enough people want it.
Hi Popplagid - Occasionally we have to go through funky places so we can see how much we can override those head spaces and demonstrate whatever higher intention we can muster. It's a little like a life "pop quiz" that shows us exactly where we're at. Personally, I think there's going to be a lot of wreckage that challenges us until 2012, and after that we get to have a whole new set of parameters with which to measure our reality. And of course, our individual and collective heart space are truly all that matters.
Hi Robyn - Remember that Pluto is a transpersonal influence, and may work itself out through radical changes OR a Plutonic person. I have Pluto rising, and often show up in people's lives as "Pluto." In that sense, a square can help someone change direction fortuitously, or a trine can bring an understanding. Perhaps Pluto in Cap is a time to take responsibility for our "underworld" and use the power of purification to sprout appropriate seeds of long range power. And T-squares help us integrate, as difficult as that can be at times.

Hey there Robert, happy days :)
Funny you should mention that you show up in people's lives as Pluto...what we resist most about ourselves nearly always shows up as 'fate' in some form or another. Pluto in my seventh house over the past 11 years has brought me many 'Pluto' type relationship scenarios - the 'pluto square pluto' transit of recent years (natal Pluto at 22Virgo conj IC, conj Jupiter, conj South NOde, conj Uranus - phew!) wrestled me to the ground via compulsive infatuations with Scorpio natives disguised as 'bad guys' (so I thought of them). Underworld figures featured nightly (in dreams!) and there was no escaping the hell my imagination created for me. NOw I see it was all me, and more than me. There is no outer event that is not also inner.
I wonder, though, how is it we can protect ourselves from the projections of the collective unconscious?
Pluto at 0 capricorn is trine my natal Saturn at 0 Tau while square my nodes (at aries point) and Uranus (0 lib) - so I feel a pull in two directions (subtle, but still there).

Mr. Wilkinson, Hope that I didn’t miss Part 4 of your series “Spiritual Astrology in January-February 2008”. Thank you, sir, for generously sharing all that you do. Part 3 was the last I saw: http://www.aquariuspapers.com/astrology/2008/01/spiritual-ast-2.html#more

Hi danae - Happy Days was one of my favorite shows 30 years ago! Even if the 50s were nothing like that.... Yes, Pluto in the 7th would bring you many Plutonic people and relational experiences. Glad you saw the outer mirrors the inner, though we also have to learn to deal with that which is not "us" but just a part of the human landscape so we develop skills we can use in the future or teach to others. We protect ourselves by not operating at the level those projections work out on. Be goodness itself, and you cannot be tempted to be badness. Be truth, and you'll always see through falsehood. Be courage, and you'll never be fear. Be generosity, and you'll never be miserly. Be positivity, and your mind won't go into funky places for very long, if at all. It's not even that we don't sense the negatives, but we just don't stay seduced by them or stuck there for any length of time. The Earth trine this year should help you ground and make great progress stabilizing your life in practical ways. By May you should be doing very well.
Hi MAK - No, I never got around to composing it due to other pressing needs like the forecasts for the Western and Chinese New Year and Eclipse. Today I had to do part one of Mercury RX. I'll try to get part 4 of the Spiritual Astrology done within a week, now that I'm off the road.

Coming up, my Pluto squares my MC which I believe to be in Aquarius. And I believe that's happening now.
And I think it's occurring in my tenth house. I'm due first wave of uranus opposition starting april, so i'd like to clear as much of this through as i can if appropriate. Meanwhile i'm in an ongoing square between pluto and chiron (going well) and a Neptune square Neptune (going alright/lots of ides/painting, and i live by the sea, last year i was in the sauna literally quite a lot). I was born in august 4 1967. moon cancer. ascendent gemini. any comments on this mc square would be helpful! cheers.

Hi daryl - Not sure about some of what you describe. I assume you're speaking of Uranus opposed your Pluto. That is a generational influence, nothing personal, is long lasting, and begins at least a year before the exact opposition. Get a new social order in your life and relationships based in tensions and revelations around motive. Neptune square Neptune is also a generational influence, nothing personal, and indicates a shift in ideals. As for Pluto squares, they are so long term that all I can say is to purify whatever. A square to the MC, not a planet, would imply that widespread forces beyond individual control are blocking and/or releasing your flowering potential. You've been going inward to seek and demonstrate a new form of compassion and/or understanding. The year that begins on your birthday will culminate whatever began in 2002, and bring both highs and lows. Expect a whole new initiative in June 2008.

Thanks for the reply! I've been following these pages for a couple of years now and marvelously you've been as insightful with my clunky question as with others on your site. Brilliant! And thanks!

My next question is i suppose the obvious one: if i pass on my birth details, will that help you help me? and apologies in advance if that is rude of me to ask such a favour!

Hi daryl - Well, I don't do detailed analysis of charts in comment streams. I offer what I can, but as a professional astrologer I cannot possibly answer everyone's concerns in this public forum. I barely have time to answer what comments I already get and still take care of my clients, answer emails, pet the cat, and so forth. In the future I plan to structure online paid classes for those who are interested in discussing astrological topics raised in the comment streams, including personal applications.

Dear Robert.
When do Uranus and Neptune enter their "unknown zones?"
Posted by: daryl | February 20, 2008 at 05:05 AM
Hi daryl - Both Uranus and Neptune will move into areas they haven't been in for a long time in mid-March.
