Today we take a new look at why certain days of the week have different qualities. Is "Monday's child fair of face, and Tuesday's child full of grace?" If you've ever wondered if the day of the week you were born mattered, then by all means read on.
For your consideration, a notable reprint, "Which planet rules the day of the week on which you were born? And of course the answer is yes, the day of the week we were born really does have an influence in our life and what planetary energies we display. Enjoy!

Dear Robert, can see the correlations."Our mind alone cannot fulfill our need to be human......"
I have often said similiar to my Wednesday child.Intense Gemini son,Mercury with moon 7th house opposition Pluto asc.Somewhat a magician and somewhat woeful, caught in mind and subconsciuos mind. My Thursday child is P.R plus yet spiritually inclined, wants to do International Studies "has far to go" very Jupiter inclined. Insightful and helpful article. Thank You Robert, Aum Shanti Felita.

Dear Robert,
I have been pondering a question in my head for quite some time. I believe you have the perfect answer as your always do.
My ascendant is in 11 Virgo. Currently I have transiting Pluto in my 4th house until 2013. But all the horoscopes told me that Pluto is now entering 5th house for Virgo. So....I get confused which one will have greater influence/impact on my life??? 4th or 5th house???
Also Pluto will enter 11th house for Pisces (my sun sign), does that mean Pluto will have equal impact/influence on my life in the areas of both 11th house and 4/5th house???
Thanks a lot. Cheers.

Ok, taking the poem and your commentary very literally and through a narrow viewI am a Wednesday's child and I have always wanted to live in my head on the dispassionate side and it does help me at my job to do so at times, But I have also been told that this tendency keeps me from forming a broad mix of friends as well. I guess if God gives me another 56 years I will get it right!

Dear Robert,
As you have pointed out the Wednesday child is not locked into a life of woe.... I like to think that woe is just the other side of wonder. Or wonder not fully expressed :) And that the Magician/Trickster faces of Mercury can evoke wonder just as easily as woe. The choice is, as always, up to us. I like to think that's the gift of Wednesday's child to the rest.... the ability to find the hidden miracles, the wonder, in each moment of now, no matter the circumstances.
Cheers!

Dear Robert and others.. To add to my previous comment I actually believe my powerful, strong, son has all the power of the positive expressions of the magician as well. Yet laden in potential as he is only young . Thanking you Aum Shanti Felita

Dear Che,
It depends exactly when does your fourth house end into the fifth.
But I would not care with so much importance to you.
Indeed there is a region of transition, I guess around 5º from house cusp into the next.
Listen inside yourself and see if fourth house issues are still under transformation or any fifth house issues are already coming.
For instance, I am having now Pluto in my 11th house cusp and indeed it seems my long-term ideals (that also concern carreer) are undergoing change (which in fact are both 10 and 11th issues!)
And yes, in your case, the criative transformation you will in soon come into, will also affect your relationship to groups, ideals, see what your intuition tells you to change and listen to. Maybe because your 5th house is the 11th house counting from the 7th in which i guess you have your natal sun. So it will mean approaching in transformation or being transformed by, relationships not so intimate, but those more impersonal, free ou grouped based (which in fact is the fifth house theme for romance and fun)

Hi Felita - Of course this old rhyme contains both generalities and some grain of truth. I find it interesting how many have commented on Wednesday. Though I am not Wednesday's child, I do have Mercury exactly conjunct my MC, and do find the mind "barren" at times. This of course is why it is legend that Magicians get grumpy and we anger them at our peril! Glad you liked the article.
Hi Che - Commercial sites write as though 0 degrees of a sign is on a cusp. I do the same thing with general sign predictions. It is the basis of Sun sign astrology which is accurate up to a point. You will have Pluto in the 4th for quite a while, as long as you have 29 Sag or 1 Cap on the IC. Pluto is in the Solar 10th for most Pisces at this time, though those born around Feb 20-22 are experiencing Pluto beginning the entrance to their Solar 11th house. In any case, it's a long term, transpersonal influence that should not be interpreted in strictly personal terms.
Hi Mary - No doubt you're a brilliant coordinator, able to be impersonal in your approach to things. I believe Mercury is a misunderstood planet and those under its influence are blessed by Hermes!
Hi Terry - I agree no one is locked into a life of woe unless they volunteer to do so and ignore life's promptings to enjoy themselves! Woe could very well lead to wonder if we can stop being preoccupied with our private concerns. Something about "so that the glory of God can be revealed" comes to mind. I'm always in wonder about the magic of cosmos, so I'm definitely with you! Miracles indeed!!

Afternoon Robert and everyone,
Saturn's child here, full of woe, but I enjoy a bit of melancholy, so don't mind me. Oddly, your article on rulerships is timely, I seem to have developed a case of contact dermatitis, this coincided with an 'out of the blue' phone call from someone I hadn't seen for 7 years. Problem is I don't really want to reconnect, but hard to say no when it is someone's birthday, now I can't go to the party because of all this itching, problem solved for now, clever subconscious!
Then I started thinking, what planets/signs rule the skin? I looked up Eileen Nauman, Rex Billis and a few other general texts, seems to be alot of inconsistencies, I would value your imput.
Then I thought about the fullmoon, the eclipse, and your article. The sun rules my 6th house and I am still dealing with Trans Neptune (12th house)opps Moon Leo (6th house), this woman is an Aquarius, Libra rising, Venus conjunct Asc. To be honest I wasn't a total wimp, I did tell her in a card, some of the problems I had had with the friendship and some of the good things too, but having said that I don't think we have much in common (if we ever did), my gut tells me, no. All these people from the past wanting back in, but I don't, but that's fair enough isn't it?
On the positive side, meeting new people and feel there is equal sharing, and respect, which is a good starting point, and an expression of healthy Libra nodes 8th house,(yes?) ..fingers crossed with what comes next.
Best wishes to all
Dianne M
PS Thanks for passing on EMail addresses, Robert.

Hi Dianne - Saturn rules the skin, being the outer boundary of our physical self that keeps our innards contained in our bodies. It's good to clear out old relationships that no longer mirror our inner life so we can attract members of our community that are closer to our hearts and minds. I've had to close the door many times on people who refused to acknowledge that I've moved on, so they must also or we will not have much magnetism to keep the thing going. And of course, there are many people to meet this lifetime who could be our friends for many lifetimes to come. Blessings on all your more evolved relationships. I'd rather have three really good friends than 30 who were distractive, or ego-bound. After all, it only takes one fool to keep a thousand wise men busy!;-)
