Right now and over the next 48 hours, we have an exact Sun square Mars. Adding to the volatility, today's Moon in Capricorn squares the Sun and opposes Mars. This is a very powerful T-square, throwing the void into 10 Libra, a degree of relief. This is a particularly intense transit, marking a culmination in the Sun-Mars cycle.
Over the next few days, people born the end of December, March, June, and September, as well as the beginning of January, April, July, and October are particularly influenced, so slow down, do not do anything impulsive, and avoid arguments and accidents. It's definitely a turning point for many, so be particularly mindful and don't make hasty decisions.
It's a good time to display natural enthusiasm, get a grip on energies that seem somewhat out of control, and find or maintain a reasonable balance and perspective. Superficiality may be a problem, while grace, charm, and fairness are the solutions to whatever is difficult. Beauty is needed, as is a sense of proportion.
Of course, besides those with birthdays listed above, this square will also intensely affect those born Summer 1967-Spring 1968, 1970-1971, 1974-1977 and 1988-1991 since it stimulates these people's Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, and/or Saturn. There are others, but that's a more extensive article than I can go into right now.

Robert, You have triggered the amateur detective in me to go looking for the effects in my surroundings. Thanks for the heads up(imagine a magnifiying glass and a shaded ball cap.)

I already have plenty of testimonials to the Mars transits, what with my Cancer Sun, Moon, Jupiter opposite Cap Mars. I'm used to it. I've been dropping things alot lately and dodging all sorts of bullets! Woke up with a stiff neck this morning, too, most likely from tension.
Actually, the stationary Pluto is affecting me, too, as there are some grave developments going on in my family AND at work. It's just the beginning of a long phase for me. I saw it coming. I'm acting brave and probably in denial. Oh well. It's interesting how planetary stations manifest in time with events.

Hi Valerie,Robert and others. My 17yr old son is having a bit of a run with this as well. Posted this poem on his wall yesterday, used to be on my fridge.
Keeps me strong.
Warriors Prayer.
I Am what I am
In having faith in the beauty within me
I develop trust
In softness I have strength.
In silence I walk with God
In peace I understand myself and the world.
In conflict I walk away.
In detachment I am free.
In respecting all living things, I respect myself.
In dedication I honor the courage within me.
In eternity I have compassion for the nature
of all things
In love I unconditionally accept the evolution
of others.
In freedom I have power.
In my individuality I express the Godforce within me.
In service I give of what I have become.
I am what I am
Eternal, immortal, universal and infinite
And so be it.
by Anonymous.
And thanking Anonymous,whoever, where ever.
Wishing you all a beautiful, peaceful day. Felita.

Yap, definitely felt the intensity today at work. The ending of all was nigh.

Who is Anonymous? He/she is a genius. Thank you Felita for the fine poem.
Here I was thinking about the Mars aspect when my colleague came up to me and said he had just witnessed a terrible accident on the Garden State Parkway. Accidents- Mars, there you go. Hoo boy. Everybody drive defensively tonight.

Felita that was a beautiful poem, thanks for sharing it with us. It seems to rank up there with a few Psalms that I have memorized for comfort.

Hi Robert,
Once again, this year, Pluto will be retrograde in my 2nd house. Jupiter will also be retrograde in my 2nd house. Any thoughts? Thus far the over view that you gave me of my solar return last September additionally seems to be the case.
Thanks,
Lori

Dear Robert,
i had more tension in me this past weekend (starting late Friday night GMT than I have had in MANY months; so much so that it "threw" me. Hence, I am only checking into your site today whereas I would've checked in on Saturday and so would have discovered this article. Ok. So I was botn in Summer '67. But what was it that made me so volatile? I did handle the energy slightly differently than I had in the past, and I think I created less damage. However, that said, it all quite disturbed me. Where was all that aggression coming from? It has dissipated now and even during Sunday it was less intense... but I am patching up at the moment and feel quite disturbed; SIMULTANEOUSLY i feel once again ASTONISHED to find the post here being so specific. Actually, its the first time I've seen one of your posts refer specifically to a time i was born in. is there any chance you can say more about this? I would like to decode the experience and see if I can glean anything from it. Could Mars at 7 degree Scorpio be significant here?

"Intense" may be an understatement for me in reference to March's aspects. A good friend passed March 1st as I talked to her on the phone. On March 12th, my old outside tomcat died from a terrible wasting disease and was buried under his favorite napping tree. March 30, yesterday, I buried my newest cat Loverboy after a car hit him. I am a total wreck and have cried so hard my eyes are like jelly. PLEASE tell me that this horrible trend will ease up! I'm a 60 year old Cancer with a 5 planet stellium in Gemini, including rising, moon, venus and mercury. I was born July 15th and have read both Gemini and Cancer. I don't really see how the volatility of this square encompasses death. I'm trying to remain upbeat.
Blessings,
Dina

Hi Mary - Happy sleuthing! For me, the square meant racheting down the level of energy and finding a sense of relief at the end of 3 years of working 6 or 7 days a week! And of course, you remind me that a long time ago I did a chart delineation for none other than Sherlock Holmes, which I'll reprint here someday.
Hi Valerie - Glad you're not taking a hit as you move quickly into a whole new two year cycle. Make corrections regarding whatever you began early 2007. As for Pluto, it's a sea change, and many things will begin to reverse course that we've been confronting for the past few months. You can't be in denial if you're perceiving it in a way that brings forth bravery. And yes, Anonymous is truly an evolved spiritual being!
Hi Felita - Great verse! Strength in softness is a very Taoist view. Of course, there are also elements of Sufism, Jainism, Buddhist, and Native American views as well as other wisdom forms.
Hi Damien - It did seem a bit intense but now it's moved into the rear view mirror. (And lately, given the news, the end has always seemed nigh!)
Hi Lori - Pluto will be RX in a house for many years, so again, do not regard it as anything personal. It can mean the collective affects your values and resources more than others. And Jupiter should bring rewards for efforts up to now.
Hi daryl - Sun square Mars can lead to volatility, especially since the Sun is on your Saturn and Mars is square your Saturn, echoing last Oct-Nov. Based in an approximate guess, Uranus is exactly opposed your Pluto, Mercury and Venus have been opposed your Uranus, and your Mercury biseptile Mars is caught in the Grand Irrationality. Volatile?
Hi Dina - My sincere condolences on your multiple losses. It's not that this square "caused" the deaths, as no aspect causes anything. It may be that Saturn or Uranus are working on some area of your life, since they both square planets in Gemini. I am truly sorry you've lost two cat-teachers in such short time. It obviously means that you have more service to do for another local manifestation of The Great Cat in the near future, when the appropriate amount of grief has been processed. Your Sun has been triseptiled by both Neptune and Pluto for over a year, so you also have been profoundly affected by The Grand Irrationality. This is a big fork in the road of your life, and while many things won't make sense, they don't have to. All that matters is that you love and breathe and love and breathe and love... Perhaps you should re-visit my posts of January 9 for 2006, 07, and 08 to help your grieving heart. These multiple losses can help you go deeper into the heart of compassion for yourself and all sentient beings. Again, my sincere condolences for your losses.

Hi Robert : )
What you say makes sense and ... what you said of my solar return last September thus far has been very accurate. Thanks for your kind words. I am wide open for blessings and rewards for efforts up to now.
Many Blessings,
Lori

I thought about this article you wrote when my brother cut his arm with a chain saw sunday the 30th. It was a hasty not thought out decision to use the chain saw on this project, which he should not have been taking on anyway, and he knew that, but did it anyway, this is a pattern of his. It is as if he is trying to prove something to himself. His b-day is March 26,(1956, a fellow Aries w/a Scorpio asc).(I am sure there was something in his chart about this accident, but I have not looked yet). We spent all afternoon in the trama unit-thank God for 911, paramedics, and the trama unit. Thank God also that it was a clean cut, deep, but clean, and did not do any real damage--they said he was lucky, the paramedics thought he was going to have to have surgery. The doctor stitched him up and home he came. He did not even loose too much blood. My other brother is a nurse, so he is overseeing the healing process right now. Everytime I heard that saw I got a vision of him cutting his arm, the very arm he cut right where he cut it. I decided to go out and "demand" he stop, but I was too late. I just had to tell you about this, it is interesting what goes through your mind when something happens, and this was one of the first thoughts that went through my mind when I heard him yelling for me and I realized what he had done. I read this article the day you posted it, I took note when I read it , and thought of him, but I did not warn him. I read it to him yesturday and he said - interesting. This accident also had a profound effect on my two brothers' realationship, which had been strained, it now has done a 180* turn around. Thought you & others might find this interesting. An accident happened due to a hastly, impulsive decision, a degree of relief, and it was a relief in my two brother's realtionship, it was a turning point in their realtionship-(the other brother's b-day is Dec. 28). Very interesting... Me, my b-day is the 9th, Sept. so I was not right in the T-square's energy path. The T-Square's energies were at work here Sunday.

OPPS--CORRECTION ROBERT, Deb here it was not a chain saw--it was a circular saw--big difference--sorry for the mix up. Deb

Hi Deb - As I noted in another comment stream, thanks for the anecdote, since it can help us remember to be mindful during generic times of friction. Sorry your brother had to learn the hard way, but good that it has facilitated healing in your family.
