Mars activates and accelerates the pace of events in our lives. People currently going through dynamic activity, a hectic fast-paced period, or having the hardest time the first half of April are Aries, Cancers, Libras, and Capricorns born the first week of April, July, October, and January. The second half of the month this applies to the mentioned signs born the second week of those months. If you were born in these zones, focus on what constitutes responsible action, given these birth periods show more highly agitated energy than usual.
Mars tests us to get a grip on our energy and shows us how well we are demonstrating self-control or not. Mars is our "fight or flight" principle, and symbolizes what aggravates us, so beware of hasty action, argumentativeness, or impulsiveness. A way to use what I post here is that if you know your chart, examine the effect for the signs in light of planets you have in these signs.
For instance, if you have Mercury between 13 and 25 degrees of a Cardinal sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn), examine the challenges relative to your mind, interpretations, or thinking patterns, as well as other planets influenced by Mercury. If you have Venus in those degrees of Cardinal signs, examine what is said in light of your likes and dislikes and other Venus-influenced areas in your chart.
If you have a Cardinal sign Mars between those degrees, regard what is stated in the context of Mars-ruled affairs and activities. This shows an important shift in your Mars cycle, so heads up! You can also apply what follows regarding this month if you have an Ascendant (Rising sign) between 13 and 25 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn.
The first half of the month, Aries born the first week of April are seeing the first emergence of something begun early June 2007. This month shows a new life direction or the beginnings of new ways of expressing yourself, so get grounded, and remember that "as the roots, so the flowers." This applies the second half of April to Aries people born the second week of April.
Effort now affects future success. Don't allow hassles or aggravations around the home or with family to put you off, and be a good communicator. You'll get new insights into how you view your early life and family situation. Just try not to get aggravated by neighbors and expect intense activity around the home.
Arians need to be less abrupt in communicating, less aggressive or hassled by neighbors, being more thoughtful and considerate. Avoid impulsive or blunt responses. Be fair, just, and balanced in your assessments, see things from several points of view, and be diplomatic, mature, and responsible in owning your part of any interaction. This affects Aries' way of viewing their self image, their physical body, their desires, their magnetism, and how they deal with shared or social values and resources.
In the first half of April, Cancers born the first week of July confront the end of a 2-year cycle, so begin anew with an eye to what culminated in June 2007 of the cycle that began May 2006. This month speeds things up, so apply new skills and strengths, and face a future that's already underway. Quickly finish what you need to, realize an old way of life is over, and there is a need for new effort and directions.
After mid-April, this applies to Cancers born the second week of July, and they finish a cycle they also began May 2006. Since it continues to be a time of endings and beginnings, embrace the new, get ready for the pace to quicken, and try not to be too blunt, impulsive, abrasive, or leap before you look.
This primarily affects all Cancers in the areas of profession, public standing, how you're perceived by others, self-expression, children, and pleasures. These are ending somehow, and a new two year pulse is opening up. Be thoughtful but not touchy, self-initiating without impulsiveness or haste.
This resumes whatever got put on hold when Mars went retrograde in November 2007. Since then Cancers have experienced all kinds of closures, and either fulfillment due to swift action, or sorrow resulting from hasty assessments. Since October 2007, Cancers have been getting a new look at their motives, self-undoing behaviors, and the movie of their lives.
The first half of April fulfills an old cycle for Libras born the first week of October. This period is one of following through on what's culminating in your public or professional affairs in the cycle that began October 2006. Learn as much as you can, prepare, then be willing to take responsibility, since this is a very high profile time for you. This occurs the last half of April for Libras born the second week of October.
All Libras should follow through on what is culminating in their public and professional sector, take responsibility, do their duties, and remember others are observing them. Libras should learn how to be more naturally themselves and unedited in their self-expression, be more decisive, organized, responsible and take the long view into account. This will primarily affect Libra in the areas of equalness in relationships, money, values, and how they use what they have or how they capture what they need to sustain their self-image.
During the first half of April, Capricorns born the first week of January are tested not to get aggravated, sidestep oppositional people, and decrease agitation or impulsiveness while correcting things that began February 2007. The last half of April this applies to Capricorns born the second week of January.
People with these birthdays are moving through a period of tensions in relationships, and have had to shift in how they regard their health, work, or how to serve your world. If this applies to you, detach from relationship dramas that scatter you. Avoid unnecessary confrontations and don’t get hassled by impulsive, abrasive, aggressive or argumentative people.
For Capricorns in a relationship, it's an intense time for your partner. This is opening new doors of perceiving and acting with others where you are an equal rather than a follower or reactor to them. For Capricorns, areas coming to surface include new ways of relating to their home and family, their past, their friends, goals and ambitions, as well as larger more effective forms of group work and/or world service.
Capricorns should embrace new ways of relating to others, since this time is a breakthrough in your way of being in relationships, and allow others to take the initiative in new ways of expressing themselves. You are finding new forms of self-expression and self-adjustment to practical necessities.
The quincunx effect significantly influences 11-14 degrees of Sagittarius and Aquarius the first week of April, 14-18 degrees of Sagittarius and Aquarius the second week of April, 18-21 degrees of Sagittarius and Aquarius the third week of April, and 21-25 degrees of Sagittarius and Aquarius the last 10 days of the month. Quincunxes are associated with physical, emotional, or mental health issues requiring sacrifices and adjustments.
Thus the first week of the month most impacts Sagittarians born December 1-6 and Aquarians born January 30 through February 3. The second week of April most impacts Sagittarians born December 5-10 and Aquarians born the first week of February. The third week of April most impacts Sagittarians born December 8-13 and Aquarians born February 5-10. The last 10 days of the month most impacts Sagittarians born December 11-17 and Aquarians born February 9-14.
Through the quincunxes, Sagittarians will have sacrifices and adjustments in the areas of loss, regeneration, shared values and wealth that will help them learn focus, discrimination, attention to details and procedure. They will learn how to get their magnetism and desires straightened out and eliminate that which cannot be carried into a future already taking shape. Aquarians will also have sacrifices and adjustments in the areas of work, health, and those they do service for or who do service for them that will whatever needs to be done.
The first half of April, Taurus born between May 14-20 and Leos born between August 16-23, as well as Geminis born between May 20-23 and Virgos born between August 23-26 are extraordinarily affected by the Mars semisquare to their Suns. The last half of April primarily affects Geminis born between May 23 and June 2, and Virgos born between August 25 and September 3.
The semisquare is a 45 degree aspect indicating internal crises of direction, or a sense that something is beginning to open (or close) with decisions to be made. They show important factors regarding things that are emerging or ending, and offer information about hidden or unconscious influences at work.
For Taurus and Gemini birthdays mentioned above, new developments and challenges in the cycle that began in August 2007 don't have to be a problem if you become more visionary, adaptable, future oriented, organized and mature in your values and relationship to things and money. Leo and Virgo people with birthdays mentioned above need to end some things they began in July 2006, so capture the harvest and close out what you need to without getting aggravated at friends or the goals that you couldn't fulfill.
Leo and Virgo people are entering a fallow period where you'll need to do closure rituals, preparing for a new cycle to come starting late June through mid-July 2008. This period is directly related to the process of re-doing, undoing, or rearranging something.
For Leos, it concerns your sense of the future, your education, your home, your family, or revisiting something of your early life. For Virgos, it concerns your perspective, how you communicate, your environment, desires, siblings, shared resources, magnetism, and what you need to let go of to create the space to regenerate or attract what you need.
As I explained a few months ago, sometimes Mars' influence extends far beyond whatever is going on in the sky. Notably, the Mars article from November 2006 offers an insight into why things have changed as they have these past 17 months. Mars played a major part in the eclipses of 2006-2007, and triggered many events leading us all to chances to "escape from a narrow destiny." As I wrote a while ago:
Since the Mars degree of the recent September 2006 Lunar Eclipse is highly active and was also the exact degree of the Solar Eclipse take note of what is liberating you from a previously "narrow destiny" and hear the call that can help you joyously rise to some larger occasion. Here's an article about the September 2006 Solar Eclipse in terms of its general meaning and effect, while in this article you can find out what it means for each sign specifically. December 2006 and January 2007 mark turning points in the liberation process.
Signposts of future developments connected with 30 Virgo presented themselves in late March-early April 2007, with important points occurring the second and last weeks of May 2007 and September 2007. Even more definitive developments happened between December 2007 and early April 2008.
June through November 2008 shows Pluto exactly square the Mars eclipse degree, Saturn conjuncts the point April 2009 and April through July 2010 opposed by Uranus April 2010 through March 2011, setting up some fairly volatile developments. Escaping from a "narrow destiny" may be destabilizing, but it's also guaranteed to put you and your dharma on track and remind you that life on Earth is one of endless change.
More from the 2006 Eclipse article:
In December, Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter all conjuncted... Wherever we have Aries, Gemini, Virgo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Pisces energies, they were fused and renewed in whatever house we have early Sagittarius... a very important area of major focus and attention in the next two years for us. I hope you enjoyed December and January since the wild ride accelerated toward a more amazing vision, freedom, and group involvement than we've known in a long time. Welcome to February through June 2007, the edge of dynamic change!
Mars has now begun to accelerate after its 2 1/2 month retrograde period late 2007 through January 2008. November 2007 was a threshold for all that has begun to quicken and come forth. September was the first pass through late Gemini, and showed signals for what we could expect January-February 2008 when it retrogrades into late Gemini, went direct direct at 25 Gemini in late January 2008, and then moved forward staying in that sign until early March 2008.
In September we had to learn, explore, exteriorize our discoveries and see what had to be pruned because of decisions we made, decisions we reconsidered, and decisions that became final by March 2008. With Mars' entry into Cancer came major reorientations and a lot of new work to be done. The changes promised last Autumn are now an established part of our lives.
Keep an open mind and an open heart, don't clutch, and see what nourishes you and how you can nurture others. We started, then backtracked, and now are in motion. New responsibilities and a sense of purpose will become clearer by July.
Until then, prepare to surf the T-square later this month made by Venus, Mars, and Jupiter, which I'll write more on in the future. If it weren't for the strong support of Mercury trine Jupiter and sextile Uranus along with the Grand Earth Trine made by Sun trine Saturn trine Pluto I'd be more concerned. Take note of the coming Mercury Grand Earth Trine beginning about April 14, since that heralds what will come later this month.

Robert, any specific news for us Scorpios (and Pisces),or are we left out of the major shenanigans this month? Sure doesn't feel like it. Lots of deep emotion
( sadness/ fear ) welling up lately and then subsiding pretty quickly. Will need to be publicly pontificating (not!) non-stop on April 11,12 & 13. Hope I can keep myself focused and grounded... And thanks for your last response. I'm back on the 16th.

Hi Robert,
I am apparently being challenged in my sign of cancer, my rising sign aries and my descendent Libra. God must really be wanting something really big for me, or I just had it too easy for 5 years prior to 2006. Whichever, it was I remember being grateful for some really wonderful events in those days, finances were much easier, responsibilities seemed light. I remember wondering then, how could I deserve such contentment. I am now learning to be content in much more demanding circumstances, and to look very hard at choices. I am already too cautious in most things. Ah the lessons of living in a 3 dimensional world.

Hi Robert, My dream last night. In a huge mansion with family and people I know, felt taken for granted, my son was with me. was given a cup of tea in an expensive cup and warned not to break it. I then left and hurled the cup down the cement steps. heard it smash. My son said "Oh no! you broke the cup.I said "they value material things over people" and he understood. Mars is running through my natal 2nd and solar 12th. My Mars "severed" I think, My value systems are clear and I feel strong with Mars no longer in Retrograde. I have taken the plunge and am now only self employed.Quit the chilcare course.
Picked up three new classes to teach. One thing .have a gage on descisions. Have an abcess on my tooth, Mars(inflamation) Teeth(descisions,Libra)I have observed when I am indescisive and dont know if to take the plunge. my tooth throbs till I make the choice. Interesting gage. Pluto Cap squaring my Libran moon for the next year. My Mars is pleased I can now act on my choices. as Usual your article is spot on for me and my children, could comment more on the Astrology being applicable but will take up the whole page. My merc 20* Cancer will trine Uranus soon? How will this play here? Uranus is in my 10th house. Thanking you kindly Aum Shanti Felita.

Robert,
thank you for another illuminating article.
I wonder if you have any insights for me: April 22, 1960 -- Taurus Sun 1.4, Pisces rising 7.4 approx, Moon in Pisces 14, Venus in Aries 15, Mars at Pisces 15, Saturn in Capricorn 18.
Since a few weeks, I have been feeling depressed, afraid of the future (I know there are endings releated to my mother's terminal illness, clearing out and selling things etc) and have to prepare for beginnings (getting re-employed and re-settled in the west after 2 yrs in S.Asia). But I wish I could take all this in stride, confidently, instead of feeling dread.
Thank you for the guidance and insights you provide. Blessings,
Nandy

I am a Virgo Sun with a Leo moon ... and Mars, Mercury and Pluto in Virgo. The above has been my transformative life in one way or another since June 2005, moving through, raising above, moving on from, many different situations. "Perpetual space clearing" : )
I am still "letting go" and space clearing on different levels as I work towards moving my life forward in different ways. Lots of growth and lessons.
I recently had a space clearing done in my apt with a trainee of internationally known author and space clearing expert Karen Kingston. Really wonderful experience.

Hi magenta - Well, Mars in Cancer this month makes very stabilizing aspects to Scorpio and Pisces energies. Deep emotion is both personal to you 24/7 (Scorpio) and a universal field 24/7 (Pisces). All of us with any Water in our charts are feeling more intensely due to the field frequencies active at present (think recent Mercury, Venus, Uranus conjunction with Sun square Mars!) Apprehension is universal due to most in our world experiencing the quickening and destabilizing factors anticipating the unknown. "And you know something's happening here but you don't know what it is, do you Mister Jones" to quote the Bard accompanied by Al Kooper and Mike Bloomfield. Focused and grounded is a good thing, and of course you're welcome. May you travel swiftly, safely, and productively.
Hi Mary - Our God forever calls us to our Highest Self 24/7. It's just a question of how to handle the energies within you and without you. Easy times help us recharge and rebuild, but the Quest eventually calls us with its need for acting, feeling, and thinking consciously. I remember a kinder, simpler, less expensive reality. Oh well. Thanks to the neocons, everything's become much more expensive, hard edged, and bare knuckle. But we will survive to see better days when humans wake up to fundamental timeless realities and decide to cooperate in a sustainable way to exist on this biosphere. Contentment is a form of fulfillment to a desire that has been actualized. But one can only sit on a mountaintop or a cave for just so long before we must be walking again. Then we can bring our sense of contentment with our Path with us through circumstances. Diligence in examining our choices, both those suspected and unsuspected, is a good tool, and transferrable to many circumstances we encounter.
Hi Felita - Interesting dream. Mansions often symbolize the "house of personality," or could be "life container," since family and friends were there. Son is both a symbolic and literal "part of your inner male." Examine what "taken for granted" arises from. Could be there's an underappreciated part of you that your family never acknowledged, but put rules (warned you not to break it) that stifled the part of you they didn't appreciate. Did anyone leave with you? Not sure if your son was with you, or just observing you from where you left. Something springs to mind about needing to break a few eggs to make a good omelette. Breaking something of relative value is a good metaphor for Mars in the 2nd. It would seem the dream confirms what view you've come to about values and things. Teeth are ruled by Saturn. As for decisions, use Aries - Just Do It! energy. Work from deep authenticity that is self generating, don't put too much pressure on something that's barely sprouting, and stay focused on swift adaptation that keeps momentum moving in your intended direction. Uranus trine Mercury helps us synthesize all our info and interpretations into something that helps us better coordinate our life. Open to Higher writings.
Hi Nandy - You're approaching the Double Climacteric of 49, and about to enter the last year of a larger cycle. Whatever seed developed the past year, cultivate that while saying goodbye to many things AND enjoying even more over the next year. By this time next year you will have completed a major work, and approach 7 years of learning that if it works for you, it's true, and if it doesn't work for you it's not, regardless of what anyone else thinks. Your Sun is in a Grand Earth Trine the next 9 weeks, as is your Solar Return, so you may expect things to solidify in your favor both short term and long term. Get rid of rules and expectations that make your relationships a "work" rather than a "play." Stop feeling burdened by things you can easily let go of, and since you're phenomenally sensitive to collective consciousness, be sure to take a "psychic shower" from time to time so you clean out whatever astral pollution has attached to you. Yes, you're probably experiencing the generic "dread of endings" that has plagued humanity for millennia. Perhaps you ARE "taking it in stride" AND feeling dread that is normal. Look at the dread as a generic thoughtform that needs antidoting. Passages between the worlds, especially if there's an association with life and death always brings forth this sort of solemnity. It's our job not to get distracted by the dread, fear, and other useless feelings. A priest(ess) presiding over transitions cannot afford to be distracted by that which is an illusion to begin with.
Hi Michele - Will contact you shortly for the next step in the work.
Hi Lori - Uranus and Saturn have shown you things you never imagined before the conjunctions and oppositions. Welcome to a new way of using your experience, discipline, and maturity for a long time to come. Open to taking on more significant responsibility in your world, and play it for the long haul.

Hello Robert,
I wanted to show you a insightful article I have written in my blog about sideral versus astrology or may just correcting what I think from my investigation, are the dates where each sign energy starts and ends.
I was studying hundreds of my friends, contacts and celebrities born for each day of the year and grouping them by what it seems to be obvious. I was getting Aries-like people born in late April and Gemini-like people born in early July for example. Its being a honest and humble research I am doing in search for a more correct truth. It was quite challenging to realize this.
Its on http://astrotransits.blogspot.com/2008/03/sideral-astrology.html
Tell me what you can help me. If you can help us correcting these end and start dates, from your contacts, friends and relatives.

Dear Robert,
This moonchild thanks you for the helpful comments for Cancers. In a nutshell- my parents are in the end stages of life and my sisters and I are trying to visit and be as attentive as possible. My mother(Virgo 8/28/28)has Parkinson's, a spinal fracture and crazy hallucinations. My dad (Sag 12/9/29)has arterioschlerosis and one stress related illness after another. They are getting the best of care, it's just a difficult time. Talk about ends of cycles. Anything could happen any day. As for myself, even tho I'm real tired, Mars is giving me a lot of energy to do stuff. I know all about Mars in my chart but every round brings a new point of view!
Namaste :)

Hi Robert, Thankyou for your reply. Yes my son was standing strong and left with me in the dream.
Initially I thought it read "Did anyone leave you" and yes something I'd put aside,my father left me when I was 7 years old, my mother remarried, but have not seen my father, Well must review this I think!Could be the barrier to my freedoms.
My mars asc..... Will try not to pressure myself.
Thanking you again for your clarity.
Forging on peacefully, lovingly.

Dear Robert,
Thank you for the guidance you have provided me, and for the other articles you posted recently. I read 'Using Affirmations...' adn other linked articles (Magic of Space) and felt calm and re-focused.
I do have a question: what is a 'Double Climactric of 49' and what is its significance?
Heartfelt thanks for the guidance and comfort. Blessings upon you.

Robert,
I found Double Climactric on this website when I googled it, so now I understand what it is -- just thought I'd let you know adn save you the trouble of directing me to that info.
Well, now I am getting curious about your (planned) online classes, and wish you lots of energy and time to get them 'up'.
Its not just the excellent info you have, but the compassion and generosity with which you share it that is so inspiring.
Bless you -- Nandy

Hi popplagid - As you know, I have serious concerns about Sidereal. Glad to see you're not bound to 30 degrees for a sign. Also glad you included Ophiucus, and have a place for Cetus, since these two constellations are usually ignored by Siderealists. It's interesting you would break the spans into narrow slices where one sign shades into another at unequal intervals. Also, though you may already have taken this into account and so this factor may not apply to your research, it is important to note here for anyone tracking the "fixed stars" marking the constellations that the stars have moved their position over the centuries, so there is a need for rectifying the longitude given in most books. As an aside, though it may not be relevant in what you're trying to research, in ancient zodiacs there is no Libra. Libra is a constellation of recent invention carved from Virgo-Scorpio (supposedly corresponding to the arrival in the solar system of Venus not that many centuries ago). For millennia, that area of the sky was one BIG constellation called Virgo-Scorpio.
There are several other very important things to keep in mind when doing research on sign correlations with dates of the year. Mercury and Venus are both very important in describing character traits, and they are always in the sign of the Sun, or as far as one (Mercury) or two (Venus) signs to either side. Most people I know or have met are NOT "living their light" aka, their Sun sign. Most I know are living out their Moon sign, or Rising sign, or relate to others and appear as their Venus sign, or hide in the persona of their Mercury mind. We must take these factors into consideration as exclusion factors when considering what we believe to be the traits of certain Sun signs. A Libra with Mercury and/or Venus in Leo or Virgo is much different than a Libra with Mercury and/or Venus in Scorpio or Sag!
Two other extremely important factors are the decan of the Sun, as well as the sign of the ruler of the Sun, which often shows more prominently than the Sun sign itself. Leo is the only sign where the ruler of the Sun is itself, but Leos also profoundly show traits of their Moon sign, since the Sun is utterly dependent on the Moon to bring forth forms of its light. Also, as per our previous example, a Leo with Venus in Gemini shows much different traits than a Leo with Venus in Virgo! Often the planet "leading the Sun" (as it is termed) shows the primary emphasis of how the Solar qualities express themselves. Someone with Jupiter leading the Sun in any sign will show more Jupiterian traits to their world, whereas someone with Mars leading the Sun (like Lenin) will show more Martian qualities, regardless of what sign the Sun is in.
As for the decans, there are two systems that reveal the composition of the signs. For example, Saturn rules the first decan of Pisces in the ancient system along with Jupiter in the modern. Venus is the ancient ruler of the last decan of Scorpio along with the Moon in the modern system, showing that late Scorpios are under a Moon-Venus influence, not something people usually think of when they think of Sun in Scorpio! The ancient decan influences have been used as markers for thousands of years, while the moderns are of more recent invention. Still, some of your correlations are interesting, and so may yield some interesting insights. Just keep in mind to take note of supposed Solar qualities explained by other factors.
For example, Hitler had a Sun, as well as Venus conjunct Mars, in Tropical Taurus, with Mercury in both Sidereal and Tropical Aries leading his Sun. So the expression of his Sun was totally determined by his leading Mercury in Aries. Having extensively studied history, warfare, and Hitler's rise and fall specifically, I can say his downfall came from his stubbornness (Fixed sign Taurus), not his impulsiveness or boldness in swift action (Cardinal sign Aries). He spoke (Mercury) more powerfully than he was able to decide and act (Sun). In terms of military strategy, two of his greatest military blunders came from a) his fixity in staying in Greece when he should have pressed the Russian offensive, and b) refusing for days to cut loose his panzers to stop the Normandy offensive. His stubbornness in both these circumstances spelled doom for his "Thousand Year Reich." Thank God for Hitler's willful stubbornness!
Hi Valerie - You certainly are an angel of transition right now! Your Mom is definitely under Saturn's rulership, at least for a few more months, and your Dad is about to be. Be gentle with yourself as you walk between worlds, and find ways to give each the emotional comfort they need in the moment. This is a new 2 year cycle for you, which you prepared for since last October.
Hi Felita - Well, dream interpretation used to be one of my specialties, but there are many factors that need to be discussed before any depth meaning can come out of the analysis. That's why I don't do much of it these days, since it's a very "up close and personal" type of exploration of subconsciousness. Glad your son was standing strong with you in the dream. Good sign re: your inner male, since he didn't abandon you while you were breaking the cup. Abandonment is a "sacred wound" which in the healing creates an authentic power within to help others struggling with the same feelings. Actually, rather than a barrier, it could be the key to your liberation from old ghosts you no longer need to worry about. Good not to try to pressure yourself, since there are no rewards for trying to "push the river." Aum shanti indeed!
Hi Nandy - Glad my work can help to calm and re-focus. Good for practicing your inner power to remain superior to outer conditions. 49 is a very important marker in human life. While I experienced a sense of frustration and even uncertainty when at that point, it helped me redirect my energies into more productive efforts. Once I hit 49, I realized not long thereafter that my old astrological/new age website (1998-2002) was not giving the results I should expect for my efforts, and within two years it led me to begin blogging, first as a regular content contributor to another site, then to create my own. And of course, thanks for your kind words of praise for the work here. Given the types, quality, and quantity of astrological questions people have, the classes are something I am giving serious thought to for the first time in 25 years (I used to have a school for astrology and metaphysics in Austin for 9 years in the 70s-80s.) Again, thanks for your blessings, since we all need them given the work and play to be done during this "Age in Transition." May your own work and play, and that of "all our relations," be blessed as well. Aum Namah Shivaya!

Lori-
Thank you for the info on space clearing! I have ordered Karen's books to help me with my Virgo energy (my Asc. and the fallout from a mutable t-square, Sun/Jupiter in Pisces). Looking forward to making a Virgo breakthrough! Saturn (transiting my 12th house) isn't really leaving me any choice, and any "letting go" can only help at this point.
Blessings,
Shelley

I keep trying and growing. Attitude is something I have control over and I consciously choose each day to be positive.

Walking between the worlds ... good way to put it ... this has always been my life in so many different ways.

I just found your Aquarius Papers when I was looking for information about the Wesak Moon and what it meant. I couldn't stop reading - I love your insights! This particular article, Astrology Stress Zones, made me go print out my Solar Return for 2008. Unfortunately, I almost wished I hadn't. Pluto is in my 8th and in my 4th is a conjunct Sun and Moon, Mercury, (all conjunct the Solar Eclipse on August 1st), my South Node, Venus and barely squeezing in the last position in the 4th is Saturn. With so many Mercury/Venus oppositions (and Mars in opposition to Uranus), should I be putting my affairs in order and writing a will? My Natal is 1 Aug 1959, 4:37 am EDT, 38N56-77W01. I did this based on Koch as the people who I learned what I know about astrology chose it for returns. Many thanks to any insights you can give me.

Hi Jo - Thanks for your praise of the articles and the site. I NEVER use any house system other than Equal for Solar Returns. There are valid reasons for this that I've explained in other comment streams and articles. Pluto in the 8th of a SR chart can be a very excellent power of absolute regeneration and the ability to attract the seeds of Truth in very economical forms. A 4th house stellium in a SR chart often shows a focus on home and family and setting the "flooring" for future growth and development.
The primary issue with SR charts is they never offer anything that isn't shown in the natal and progressed positions. Everything in the SR chart must be referenced to the rulers of the natal houses, dispositors of the natal planets and the planetary house positions, and even the progressed Moon for the (approx) 12-15 degrees it will traverse during the year the SR is active. Of great significance at this time in your life is Saturn restructuring your Venus, Mars, and Pluto while trining your Saturn. AND! Saturn will quintile your Jupiter this Summer, with the ongoing Jupiter sextile Neptune very favorable to your natal Jupiter. Eventually this restructuring will allow the true genius of your Sun-Mercury RX-Uranus to shine forth in practical forms of service to your world, once Saturn finishes its future trine to your Venus and long term sextile to your Jupiter. You're ending a major part of your life, and so consider this a high point where many things have to be brought to as satisfactory an end as is possible. By August you'll definitely be on very solid ground, though you'll also start feeling more insecure in some deep ways which will get productively resolved over the Autumn and Winter.
