Jupiter and Saturn transform energies of the Transpersonal Invisible Triad into widespread social influences within which our personalities operate in local conditions, however wide or narrow our field of influence. They show the pulses of inner and outer progress in a larger field of interactive experiences on social, cultural, and global levels. These months begin a new Saturn phase and prepare us to receive recognition for our courage and perseverance since September 2007.
Throughout this period and for the rest of 2008, Jupiter and Saturn remain in Earth signs. In May and June, Jupiter goes stationary retrograde May 9 at 23 Capricorn and Saturn goes stationary direct May 2-3 at 2 Virgo. While they form no aspect in May, their mutual Earth influence is fairly positive. Eventually their movement will produce a sesquisquare in in June as they prepare for their long term trine between late July and the end of the year.
The sesquisquare agitates friction that can spur us forward creatively and/or regeneratively. We experienced this in March, where we began to focus on the practical needs of the future helping us get over preconceptions. It gave way in early April to the quadraelftile, a nonrational aspect of 130+ degrees that is part of the 11th harmonic series.
All the aspects in this series challenge us to make leaps of faith to demonstrate a mastery over a form of duality. Jupiter and Saturn will again echo this aspect relationship in early July, and make it one last time January 2009. Look at April as the first test of practical faith to resolve a duality by releasing potential in dynamic ways within a greater practical harmonization. We'll receive rewards for our efforts in July, with this "leap of faith" power solidified as a skill by January 2009.
We all now stand on the threshold of liberations indicated by Saturn's stationary direct degree. Besides the usual Astrological Mandala interpretation of ego crucifixions and the need for compassion and understanding, a deeper look reveals it's a degree of conscious stewardship of and uncompromising allegiance to enduring values. We find that the demonstration of moral courage is a foundation to transcendental achievement.
Furthermore, we are told that fearlessness is "a corrective for the maladjustments of both individual and society," and promised that the resulting satisfactions derive from "a sense of spiritual belonging." This degree challenges us to enlist selflessly in a form of service for the welfare of others. This degree is sustaining, practical, efficient, specializing, physical, and sensitive.
Practically speaking, it seems as though it's time to screw our courage to the sticking point, defend what we know to be true, good, and beautiful, and embrace a sense of spiritual belonging to a greater community, whether visible or invisible, near or far. It would imply that we all are enlisting in forms of selfless service to correct some maladjustments in our lives and/or the lives of others in our spiritual community.
Taking a new look at past Jupiter-Saturn aspects as prologue to what's happening now, Jupiter and Saturn made several important biseptiles spanning 2007 when major changes were set into motion globally on every level imaginable. That's why things seemed crazier than usual with a constant "hard edge." to things. Radical decisions had to be made that shaped our long term "destiny" for years to come.
We actually had two qualities of biseptiles between these planets in the last half of 2007. One was from Jupiter in Sag to Saturn in Leo in July-August, and the second was during September-October when Saturn slipped into Virgo. This element shift created a very different energetic manifestation of this irrational, "destiny-producing" aspect which was examined in the article, Astrology of Destiny in August-September 2007 - Jupiter Biseptile Saturn Offering Giant Changes in a Crazy Process. When you're done here, please check out the article to get a sense of what was occurring in 2007. At the bottom of this article you can find links to other articles on how this long term biseptile affected us off and on throughout 2006 and 2007.
Along with Neptune and Pluto anchoring The Grand Irrationality, Jupiter and Saturn indicated some fairly weird times forcing major choices in multiple life areas. Any time the septile series aspects are active, obsessive-compulsive tendencies run high and we collectively and individually confront major forks in the road in many life areas. Choices made in late 2008 will definitely determine our "destiny" for a long time to come. More on the Grand Irrationality later in this article.
To quote from the Jan-Feb 2008 Spiritual Astrology article,
At times it probably seemed to get too weird for words since it was happening on an almost constant basis due to the Moon activating one of the two patterns 14 times a month during those periods. For four solid months everyone (was) on the edge of ...major changes, making character choices and decisions about duty and responsibility that shaped future opportunities and larger understandings. This is "the intersection of fate and free will," and our choices will show as progress or regress.Between mid-November and mid-December we were blessed with Jupiter tredecile Saturn, and by the Winter Solstice we began a trine that (was) exact all of January... through mid-February. This will stabilize the new futures and truths we confronted throughout 2006-2007’s Jupiter’s squares and biseptiles to Saturn that specialized during the tredeciles.
The tredeciles were times of unique interactivity that manifested as "serendipity" in the areas Jupiter and Saturn transited in our charts.... This brought unique gifts perfect for our circumstances, or our unique or specialized ways of relating the Jupiter to Saturn in our lives found situations perfect for these gifts to manifest.
As you know from other posts, Neptune and Pluto are still in septile, and therefore anchoring The Grand Irrationality. As to why 2007 into early 2008 was over-the-top energetically, besides being the Year of the Fire Boar, the Grand Irrationality was continually triggered from November 2006 through all of 2007 by transits of various sectors bringing forth this collective weirdness affecting us all.
This year it continues, and is triggered every time a planet or the Moon crosses any of the seven zones of influence. It's thick and heavy in early May due to Mars in the Cancer zone and Mercury in the Gemini zone with the Moon in Aries and Gemini. More in this article. The Sun and Venus cross the Gemini zone in late May around the time that Mercury goes stationary retrograde 8:48 am PDT May 26 at 22 Gemini. I'll be composing articles about that over the next three weeks.
To look ahead briefly, the coming Mercury retrograde portends wider changes based in new information, interactions, and stabilized understandings leading to a wider view, since Neptune also goes stationary retrograde 9:15 am PDT that exact same day at 25 Aquarius. Also of note is that both stationary points are influenced by Venus waning square Saturn that same day, fulfilling an old relationship cycle begun last August. What began in late Leo is definitely transforming under the necessity of giving way to early Virgo.
Back to The Grand Irrationality. This septile-driven configuration is why strange, irrational, obsessive-compulsive energies are boiling to the top in personalities and situations, and there continues to be a hard edge to our lives. Collectively we are at a major fork in the road of human evolution comprised of the almost constant pressure put on everyone each time this aspect series is triggered.
As noted earlier, it was almost non-stop in 2007. Boosting what began with the Autumn 2006 Eclipses, these transits set off important changes and choices that may not make much sense, but we must make them anyway. We are learning how to greet the forward edge of our future "destiny" by how we're greeting the weirdness of the NOW.
During May-June 2008, the hot zones of The Grand Irrationality are approximately 29 Sagittarius-3 Capricorn, 22-26 Aquarius, 13-17 Aries, 4-8 Gemini, 26-30 Cancer, 17-21 Virgo, and 8-12 Scorpio depending on the exact degrees of Neptune and Pluto.
As I noted, of special significance is that any time the Moon transits any of the hot zones the pattern is triggered. In May and June, the first time the Moon either intensifies or adds another point to the Grand Irrationality is when it transits the Aries zone on May 3. This will trigger effects related to the recent Aries New Moon at 17 Aries.
Whatever initiatives were set into motion a few weeks ago will hit turning points in early May due to the quantity of points activated in the larger Irrationality pattern at that time. This will be echoed when the Moon crosses the Aries zone again May 30-31 (when the Sun and Venus join the dance!) and June 26-27.
The next time the Moon activates the Grand Irrationality, triggering forks in the road in our lives, is when it transits the Gemini zone on May 6 and June 2-3 and 30. It transits the Cancer zone on May 9-10 and June 5-6, the Virgo zone May 13-14 and June 9-10, and the Scorpio zone May 17-18 and June 14-15.
Of particular importance are those times the Moon moves through the Sagittarius-Capricorn zone conjunct Pluto and the Aquarius zone, conjuncting Neptune. In Sagittarius it triggers forms of Pluto's Transformational long range Seeds as it conjuncts the Galactic Center. In Aquarius it reinforces recent eclipse effects. Both influences are very heavy and far-reaching in their effects on the whole of humanity.
It moves through the late Sagittarius-early Capricorn zone on May 22-23 and June 18-19 at the time of the Gemini-Sagittarius Full Moon, the third of the Three High Moons of the year. As noted, when in this specific zone it conjuncts Pluto at the Galactic Center, giving form to that long lasting major galactic influence, though with more of an Earth energy than the Fire conjunctions of December 2007.
The Moon transits the Aquarius zone on May 26-27 and June 22-23, when it occults Neptune going stationary retrograde. These times will reinforce and bring forth manifestations arising from the February Solar Eclipse at 18 Aquarius. That eclipse will unveil many things in years to come, and show a widespread need to finish some renewal within a public or collecive setup.
As I wrote a while ago, it is extraordinarily important that the Eclipse began the year of the Earth Rat, indicating this year departs from prior long cycles since the Rat begins the sequence of Chinese Astrological animals. Due to the position of the Moon’s Nodes, which create the Eclipse effect, we will also have a Solar Eclipse on January 25, 2009, at 11:55 pm PST (January 26 all points east) marking the beginning of the year of the Earth Ox. These next two years will sweep away many assumptions, and clear the way for new collective efforts symbolized by the sign Aquarius.
In May and June the Grand Irrationality is set off only once by other planets, but it'll be very heavy due to the clustering of energies then. This marks a very important point in getting ideas, insights, communications, and illuminations about forks in the road and forms of obsessive or compulsive behaviors in self or others. As mentioned earlier it will be the end of May when the Sun and Venus occupy the Gemini zone and the Moon transits the Aquarius and Aries zones, activating 4 points of the seven pointed star pattern.
Each time the Grand Irrationality is stimulated by the inner planets, it manifests along its most characteristic Sag-Cap-Aquarius energies. The Aquarius conjunctions add intensity to that anchoring aspect and bring the energies of the personality planets to focus on Neptune while marking a sprouting of the Plutonic seeds set into motion by the December 2007 conjunctions.
Since the Sun and Venus are involved, it will trigger changes in the houses ruled by these planets, as well as any life areas where we have planets in those hot zones. The houses they occupy as well as rule will be most directly affected. By staying on top of where these zones are triggered by outer events symbolized by the transiting planets, we are given a heads up on what’s coming.
During transits to any of the 7 zones of influence, expect shifts, changes, forks in the road, irrational or compulsive behavior in self or others, and important times of decision. Adding to the intensity of our times are the other septile configurations that come and go, some more quickly than others.
We had two such major configurations occurring for much of 2007 during the previously mentioned Jupiter biseptile Saturn, as well as the times when Saturn was triseptile Uranus in Feb-March and mid-June through mid-July. Due to the Moon's influence, big weirdness and shifts were triggered almost nonstop 7 times each month. No wonder so many heavy decisions and events came down last year!
This year we're given somewhat of a respite, since it's only triggered by the usual suspects as they cross the zones. Besides the inner planets, Mars will cross the Virgo zone in late July, the Scorpio zone in early October, and close the year in a BIG way in the Sagittarius zone in late December, conjunct Pluto at the Galactic Center, ending the old cycle that began January 2007.
A final note: late December 2008 will be more volatile than usual as a result of Jupiter moving into a waning septile with Uranus. This marks the beginning of the seed of the future Jupiter-Uranus cycle to begin in 2010 with their conjunction in early Aries. The septile in December 2008 and January 2009 marks Jupiter's exit from Capricorn and entry into Aquarius. Groups will form on the basis of the personal disciplines and organized plans of 2008, so get trained, get into harness, and be willing to persevere in doing the work you are here to do.
All septile series aspects indicate an on-going weirdness, strange choices, crucial decisions, and general edginess and the sense that forces beyond our control are at work. Not necessarily bad, as long as we remember that we may not be able to reason our way through what's happening and the energy doesn't get too crazy or destructive.
This aspect set moves us to make choices that affect our potential "higher destiny." The days mentioned above are the times when the generic weirdness is triggered, and bring decisions that may not make much sense but have to be made anyway.
In Part 2 we will discuss Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto's influences, and how they are impacting past and present eclipses. In part 3, we'll discuss more about these Unknown Zones and how the Outer Triad is still influencing Eclipses from 2006 and 2007, since these will continue to impact all of us for some years to come.
In Part 4 of this May-June 2008 Spiritual Astrology series, we will explore more about the spans the outer planets are in as well as the times when planets will make dynamic aspects to the Invisible Triad, being periods when we are most challenged to cooperate with "Spiritual" energies. Part 5 will offer a look at how the present shows us the seeds of the long range future.
(As I promised earlier, here's more on the Jupiter biseptile Saturn we all dealt with over 22 months in 2006-2007)
To recap what I've previously written about this, In our personal lives the process was directly related in bringing forth our higher truth of Being. The first point of choice and change was early 2006 and the second period from mid-December 2006 through early January 2007. I originally noted this aspect in the March-April 2006 Spiritual Astrology article, mainly in terms of when it would be activated. I addressed the second biseptile, along with the inner planets also making Sag biseptiles to Saturn with Jupiter, in this article.
These were times when all of us confronted major forks in the road of our destinies, whether we noticed it or not. These choices continue to shape our personalities toward a future on the way like an express train continuing over the next few months.
This put our Sag and Pisces energies at a point of decision and change, an "intersection of fate and free will" relative to our Capricorn and Aquarius planets and houses. Obviously this affects at least a third of our reality, and as these 4 signs constitute the "Harvest sector" of the zodiac, no doubt our "harvests" have been and will be greatly affected by our choices around vision and duty.
The last of the three Jupiter biseptile Saturn periods happened between mid-July and mid-November 2007. The edges of our larger social change originated February 2006 with Jupiter in mid-Scorpio and Saturn in early Leo, then moved back into range mid-December 2006 through early January 2007 with Jupiter in early Sag and Saturn in late Leo.
The next biseptile was Jupiter direct in July-August from mid-Sag to late Leo, with the final biseptile from Jupiter in mid-Sag to Saturn in early Virgo from September through early November. Advanced astrologers should take note of the decan and degree placements as well as other planetary aspects to each of these to get greater insight into how the Jupiter-Saturn effects worked out on every level.
Each biseptile was in two different signs, as well as two decans in one sign. In one way to apply this, on a national level Saturn in Virgo will manifest differently than Saturn in Leo, as will national sectors ruled by Jupiter. Education, imagination, vision, and law have hit a turning point relative to the power structure and "leadership" sectors of our world.
If nothing else, people everywhere who have endured the "child leaders" of our past (Saturn in Leo) are now recognizing the necessity for greater practical accountability and workable solutions to practical problems. (Saturn in Virgo). There are many other applications, so ask your imagination to show you ways to view this "turning point at Eternity Boulevard."

Hi Robert,The incredible detail of this articule very well mimics the sheer amount of nervous tension, confusion and weird vibrations Im feeling on a gut level. There is obviously so much going on in the world and the same is true inside for me - but it isn't at all clear. I am aquarius, 09 Feb 70 @ 1:12pm, windsor ontario canada, I am very sensitive to outside stimulus and for the last 6-8 months life has taken on a very real "dreamlike" state where I am drawn along in a "knowing" kind of way, without really "knowing" what the hell is going on. The major relationship in my life is in question, my job and career direction is in question, my true feelings about everything in my life right now are in question. A glimpse of clarity would be very comforting right about now. Your insight is welcome and appreciated. Hope your having a great day!

Hello Robert, I love your site!!! I was wondering if you can tell me if there is any significance to an eclipse conjuct my natal venus (south node)and saturn?
Or how about my mars conjuct the north node?

Hey Robert
Hope all is well. I came across some interesting information recently regarding the differences between tropical and sidereal charts, and I am wondering if you have a better understanding of Ophiuchus.
You are a busy guy take your time with this.
Cheers.

Robert, wow...the amount of info in this article is staggering! Will absorb it as best I can, and hope it illuminates the path for me better. I can relate to Julie in the first comment re "drawn along in a "knowing" kind of way, without really "knowing" what the hell is going on"...so thank you Julie for putting that eloquently! I've been rather depressed about it coz I have Saturn sitting on my Sun, and soon in August it'll oppose my Pisces Moon, so yeay happy birthday... I think it is normal to feel like I'm, how shall put this tactfully, like I'm Saturn's "behindplug", ehm, hope that's not too bad Robert, apologies if it is. I'm very much looking forward to Saturn going into my 11th House, which is around September if I remember correctly. (August 29th 1977, Jakarta, Indonesia, time btw 10.20-10.26AM) In the meantime, as always thank you for your continued guidance. They help a LOT! :)

Hi Robert,
As always I appreciate your informative articles. Just want to give you an example of the effects of Jupiter transits. Briefly: I told you how my dog was very ill in December. He passed away on Sun. May 4 when Jupiter in my 12th house exactly stationed opposite my Uranus. Of course I am devastated, but it was a relief and a blessing. He had cancer. I realize it means an old chapter has closed, a new one beginning and actually I now have a lot more free time to do stuff. I feel all mixed up- heart broken but free at the same time. Flash back to the last time Jupiter opposed my Uranus: my ex-husband told me he was leaving and I felt the same way. I needed to get out of that bad situation and he set me free. These periods had other supporting transits at the same time but I couldn't help noticing a similarity of death/loss/change going on here. Jupiter is like that, with Uranus- you can be set free or relieved of a terrible burden, in a totally unexpected way. There may be opportunities in disguise as well. Also note: my progessed Jupiter (20 Can)is moving into conjunction with natal Uranus (22 Can)!
Anyway, food for thought, Robert... Blessings to you, life goes on! :)

Hi Robert,
This is so very dead on. This is truly a timespace to step up and into mastering the things you discussed in my '07chart... Mastery- responsibility, ownership of values- speaking out... but doing it from a place of compassion...compassionate activism- whoda' guessed. Thanks- will connect with you when i return in August to book time for another look at the chart- take good care sir!

Oh, Wow, Robert this is an intense article. I am going to have to read again and again to get the full message.
but this sticks out for me, I will quote you cause my brain is overloaded at the moment hahahhaaaaa. "During May-June 2008, the hot zones of The Grand Irrationality are approximately 29 Sagittarius-3 Capricorn, 22-26 Aquarius, 13-17 Aries, 4-8 Gemini, 26-30 Cancer, 17-21 Virgo, and 8-12 Scorpio depending on the exact degrees of Neptune and Pluto."
Robert for me I have my sun/moon midpoint is a one degrees cap and ceres is at 1 degrees cap all in the fifth house. (I have not studied this midpoint stuff enough yet but when I go to Canada in July I will look for some books on the subject.)
my dc is at 23 aquarius and my saturn is at 29 aquarius in the 7th house, pluto in virgo at 16 degrees, and my ic is at 12 degrees scorpio which conjuncts my venus in scorpio at 14 d and that conjuncts my natal neptune....
i know that neptune is about to be exact on my dc.....
and I need the same to some other points in your article
"Whatever initiatives were set into motion a few weeks ago will hit turning points in early May due to the quantity of points activated in the larger Irrationality pattern at that time. This will be echoed when the Moon crosses the Aries zone again May 30-31 (when the Sun and Venus join the dance!) and June 26-27".
- this seemed to really make sense, i just started to learn two new instruments, one is being put on the side until i feel i have mastered enough of the guitar, but i feel that first week in may (japan has a national holiday called golden week so i had a bit of time off), and i did three lessons in three days, at the begining of the new moon in aries (i believe i have the details right) i was getting really bored with just learning chords, not making music was driving me crazy, not being able to sing to something or with something, so i asked my teacher to teach me the chords to one song, and I did it, now, I am at the very beginning of course, and i have only been doing it properly for the last two months. Staying on course has alwyas been a real problem for me.
and next
"The next time the Moon activates the Grand Irrationality, triggering forks in the road in our lives, is when it transits the Gemini zone on May 6 and June 2-3 and 30. It transits the Cancer zone on May 9-10 and June 5-6, the Virgo zone May 13-14 and June 9-10, and the Scorpio zone May 17-18 and June 14-15."
Yes, that gemini zone is the co ruler of my tenth house...i am certainly really thinking about changing jobs a lot these days....
My cancer zone occupies the other half of the 11th house and rules my 12th house....My virgo zone is the other half of my first house and rules my second house. Should I be careful with finances since I have mars/uranus and pluto there? My scorpio zone is the other half of the 3rd house and rules my fourth house.?
"Of particular importance are those times the Moon moves through the Sagittarius-Capricorn zone conjunct Pluto and the Aquarius zone, conjuncting Neptune. In Sagittarius it triggers forms of Pluto's Transformational long range Seeds as it conjuncts the Galactic Center. In Aquarius it reinforces recent eclipse effects. Both influences are very heavy and far-reaching in their effects on the whole of humanity."
My sag zones are the other part of my fourth house, rules my fifth house and cap co rules my fifth house and rules my sixth house, aquarius co rules my 6th house and rules my 7th house.
I wonder how all this will manifest.
Again Robert, thanks very much for this information. This is a great article.

Hi Julie - Well, this Spiritual Astrology series started out relatively short, but over time became the article that ate Cleveland. So I started breaking them into two and three articles. Several months ago I found even three to be excessively long, so broke them up even further, and now there are 5 parts. This of course is just the first. As an Aquarius, your spiritual ruler is Uranus, which in Pisces would create more and more of a dream like state. Plus Neptune on your Sun in the past two years would also contribute to that sensation. Many relationships are being challenged right now. Either they work or don't. Either they can be worked with or not. Either we are twin flames or not. The last statement is particularly difficult, since we have many relational karmas to fulfill across lifetimes, but only one twin flame. This means many separations and misunderstandings when we realize the other is not the one. We also have many jobs throughout and across lifetimes so that we can cultivate skills and be productive in ways our world needs. So keep learning.
Hi ann - Well, I don't know why paypal wouldn't work, since all you have to do is set up an account and use a credit card. It's literally that simple. The only other way to pay is if you know someone with a US bank account who can send me a check. Receiving overseas wire transfers are extremely expensive on my end so I don't do them.
Hi Ellie - Thanks for the praise of the work. Of course there is great significance when Eclipses conjunct any planet! What you describe means an old set of relationship rules set up in past lives and perpetuated this life are leaving forever. Your Mars shows your line of greatest evolutionary development this lifetime, both in terms of energy, house position, and the houses Mars rules in your chart.
Hi Charlie - I tend not to use it, or Cetus, though each are star patterns that touch at least part of our zodiac. Mostly meaning is derived from the relative position in the whole cycle, which would imply that Ophiuchus the "serpent holder," following the intensification and magnetism of Scorpio and preceding the aspiration of Sag, symbolizes the struggle to master the serpent force.
Hi Jessi - Saturn on our Sun does bring exactly what we have worked for and deserve. It's not a light or happy time necessarily, though we can find some measure of these in mature ways. It's definitely a time of beginnings and endings and getting real about one's duties, responsibilities, and personal authorship of one's "destiny." Saturn on my Sun marked the end of a long marriage that had no future, as well as publishing my Mercury Retrograde book to international acclaim. You may want to go back and re-read Saturn Transits Pt. 1 - What Happens when it Conjuncts the Ascendant or a Planet? When it opposes the Moon, it's time to rearrange priorities so we can take care of ourselves and others more appropriately, be taken care of more appropriately, and let go of feelings that prevent us from getting on with our destiny. Part 3 of the Saturn transits series deals with oppositions and squares so you may want to read that as well.
Hi Valerie - My condolences on the death of your pet. Jupiter represents the quality of mercy. And we do miss our little friends when they move on into the heavenworld frequencies. Joy and sorrow is always the mix when we lose a loved one. Jupiter will square my Uranus in a few years, and will be fairly close to my Sun, so I'm expecting some radical changes and liberations. And yes, life does go on....
Hi gaye - Glad the reading helped you navigate this time. Compassionate activism is a great combination of words. I'll look for your email a few months down the road. Just remember I'm always booked up 4-6 weeks in advance, so plan accordingly.
Hi Micheline - Well, like my sessions, it usually takes several listens to get the various levels of meaning in what I offer. Midpoints are resonant harmonics of the blend of the two planets involved. The aspect orb is very tight, like 1 degree, and I never use aspects to midpoints except for the conjunction or opposition. From what you write, the primary influences are on your Venus, Neptune, and Pluto. Aries is great for new beginnings, so congratulations on starting to master some instruments. The septiles are not necessarily "bad," but mark turning points in those areas of life. And of course, it's always good to be careful with one's finances!
Posted by: Robert | May 12, 2008 at 07:56 AM
Hi, Robert, sorry that was long winded, my apologies, but thanks for taking the time. I always appreciate it. Ya my venus, my neptune and my pluto are feeling it. Anyway, its all a learning experience to me. No need to freak out. aside from that intense shaking of the ground here in tokyo, from an earthquake more then 100 km from tokyo, on the east coast, all is fine in the land of the rising sun..... i am going to canada for one huge wonderful month!!!
Posted by: Micheline | May 12, 2008 at 08:23 AM
Hi Micheline - Well, the ground is shakin' all over! We can expect more of the same globally over the next few years, not to mention tornadoes all over America and other assorted craziness, whether weather or human. Enjoy the land up top.

Thank you for your reply Robert! Yes, I do have the Saturn articles in my files. I was aware of the Saturn Return concept, and as such worked as dilligently as I could with it! Almost obsessed with it, ensuring I didn't leave anything 'unworked' with, as it were.
Am finding it surprising that Saturn on my Sun is much more leaden in feeling than the actual Saturn Return. Working to transform said lead to smth more valuable, often I still can't see the light at the end, even though my faith says (confidently too!) there is. Going cuckoo...! :)
Posted by: Jessi | May 14, 2008 at 04:54 AM
Robert,
I know this may be out-of-context for this article but don't know where to put it: I have noticed a BIG difference in response (written especially) from others in the last week or so. Even people (colleagues, friends, ) with whom there is usually a quick back and forth kind of exchange seem totally mute. It's not Merc.Rx yet - and anyway I have it natally so it's usually not too acute for me. Whas dis all about ? Is it more severe because of Merc.already in Gemini? Is it more about Jupiter Rx (hmm...that's about when I began to notice it).
On a different note: the recent earth emphasis feels really good to this waterbaby
( I'm tending to be happier at home making mud pies with all the dirt that accumulated when things were airier) but there is also the fuzzy-wuzziness from all the Neptune- Aquarius action, forever in my first house. My BIG first house also includes alot of Pisces - JEEEEZ, if boundaries have seemed to be dissolving for a number of years already, I wonder how might feel when Neptune goes into PISCES in my first ?
Maybe as a balance I'll need to move to the high desert or a stony mountaintop...
All well with you, Robert ? magenta
Posted by: magenta | May 16, 2008 at 08:37 AM
Hi Jessi - I'm sure you got what you need from your Saturn experience, and it'll just take a while to digest them. Yes, Saturn on the Sun does restrict the vitality for a while so you can rearrange priorities. Just make sure the light at the end of the tunnel isn't a train coming right atcha!
Hi magenta - Mercury is beginning to slow and Venus and Sun have been or are squaring Neptune. These will definitely mark times when things seem drifty or procrastination is in the air, depending on where they fall. Jupiter RX of course shows its own sea changes due to it slowing as well. Neptune transiting the first could make you a global star, given what you do!

Hi Robert,
Saturn is going through my 12th house which is Virgo... and includes Uranus 7 degrees, Pluto 13 degrees and Mercury 22 degrees. (My asc, sun and venus all in Libra.) Should I retreat from the alligator swamp for the next couple of years or should I accept the karma and fight it out. I make art and enjoy privacy over publicity or the lime light. Have mar conj nept in scorpio. It all seems a bit daunting and heavy these days yet my moon conj Jupiter in Aries at 15 degrees keeps me buoyant.

Hi harv - Saturn in 12th can bring rewards for long term efforts, and there's no way to escape the duties thrust upon one during that transit. Cultivate forms and structures of your individuality, learn to think outside the box while persevering in learning and communicating in highly structured ways. I would think this is a good year for you to make concrete what will serve you in future years for your well being, close out whatever needs closing, and get ready for a whole new life when Saturn enters Libra. Jupiter should be doing well by you this year and next. Expect major new initiatives in September when Mars, Venus, and Mercury all cross your Libra planets. You'll get a taste of what's to come late this year through next in July and August.
