Yes, and yes. In our impermanent reality, we're always going to experience "endings and beginnings," since transitoriness is like that, as is time itself. Something about it keeps "slippin, slippin, slippin into the future..." Time is measured in many ways, and the number set "2012" is just one way to view it. There are many calendars in our world, as well as predictive texts from other eras, that describe what's up and what's coming. And there are many ways to measure and interpret experience, past, present, and future.

This begins a series of articles past and present where we'll take a new look at the rapidly closing era and explore what is in front of us. This seemed like a good thing to do during this Mercury Retrograde period. There's a Full Moon talk at 10 am and then "Fingers of God at Work - A Last Look Back" at 11 am, Sunday, June 15, in Santa Monica at the NABPC church at 1139 Lincoln Blvd, just north of Wilshire. Today we celebrate the 106th birthday of one of the greatest astrologers in history, the legendary Grant Lewi. As I wrote in another article, he pioneered a new approach to analyzing birth charts, signs, planets, and transits. A Professor at Dartmouth, he left academia to pursue a brilliant career as author, publisher, and one of the greatest lights of 20th Century astrology. He died a legend, having predicted his exact time of death before it happened as a result of a cerebral hemorrhage." Today we give a happy to an amazing man for the ages.
