Since the most important election of our lives is only 840 hours away, I'll be posting some things to consider or support from time to time. Today we offer videos interviewing GOP Cyber security expert Stephen Spoonamore who explicitly states "the GOP wanted e-voting to steal elections but now foreign governments will be hacking and the winner will be determined by the best hackers. He says that if the GOP wins the hacking competition, McCain will win 51.2 percent with three electoral votes over Obama, and it will be a stolen election." If you're interested, read on.

Over the years many have asked me what Mercury retrograde is good for. We know it's supposedly NOT a good time to sign contracts, make purchases of electronics or major moves or decisions, and we are supposed to hang out with the energies, seeing that things may not be as they appear, and so on. That said, there is much that a Mercury retrograde period is good for, such as traveling, research, and other important things.

In part three we explore more about this phenomenon that occurs three weeks at a time three times a year. At the end of this article I have included a table so you can find which house(s) this September-October 2008 Mercury retrograde period falls in relative to your Sun or rising sign. Then you can consult my article How Does Mercury Retrograde Affect Us In The Different Houses? to find how this transit will affect you personally as a result of Mercury retrograding through the houses in your chart.

I found this to be high theater. From my days as a (fairly) nationally respected bipartisan political blogger - read: deals with real issues, i.e., environmental, social, global... - I learned there are things called "trolls." These are beings on the internet who watch for the chance to deny, denigrate, mock. or hector those who further any progressive agenda at all. Knee-jerk "libruls" are a different thang altogether. In a Washington Post comment stream I found an amazing piece of wisdom. It was written by someone who sounds like one or both of my elderly parents, both of whom do not like Bush, what's happening to our country, or any of the posturing bloviating windbags in government today with a few exceptions. This cuts to the core of what's up for America.

Though I've given talks on this subject for years, I haven't shared with readers of this site one process that fairly easily stops negative parts of us from externalizing. While some may think this is easier said than done, I can assure you the process works if we apply ourselves and don't give up through impatience, ego judgments, and other obstructions getting in the way of the discipline. I state this with authority since it's worked for me and countless others over many years. If you want to explore one technique to give up unhelpful patterns, stay tuned.

I composed this yesterday, but due to a lack of connectivity I couldn't get it posted. Anyway, I wouldn't want this time to pass by without offering a very Happy Big One to Bruce Springsteen, since he's truly one of the best. Libra all the way, he's another icon in the pantheon of Libra musician archetypes that include John Lennon, Paul Simon, Jackson Browne, and many more. I've Been hip to this guy and his music since the early 70s. For your consideration, a happy birthday assemblage of a few pieces.

This retrograde Mercury begins in a separating conjunction with Mars trine Neptune. The very favorable trine to Neptune culminates Sept 28-29, showing a time of linking the logical mind to the collective consciousness in harmonious incremental adjustments. This is the next natural step in reinforcing very similar energies stabilized in late May and early July 2008 when Mercury in Gemini was also trine Neptune.

Mission Control, we have a serious problem on planet Earth! Don't want to alarm anyone, but methane is 20 times more potent than CO2 and being released from Arctic permafrost faster than previously known. It is already warming up more permafrost releasing even more in a feedback loop that will definitely have major environmental effects. This is truly "an intersection of fate and free will." But there are things to be done that can help all this shift direction.

Each Mercury Retrograde period is unique, yet related to other Mercury Retrograde periods, usually because the sign element of Mercury is closely related to those of past Mercury retrograde periods. In 2008 we've already had one in Gemini and one in Aquarius, and with this one in Libra we're offered a trifecta of Air periods where we got to reconsider many ideals, ideas, relationships, remembrances, and perspectives. What does that hold for all of us?
