The Full Moon in Taurus occurs at 10:17 pm PST Nov 12, 1:17 am EST Nov 13 at 22 degrees of Taurus-Scorpio. This initiates a 2 week period where we shall see a new day dawning, a new way of life promised by a "divine signature" confirming that we have indeed gone through our collective crisis with courage and faith. The Fixed T-square will precipitate world servants onto the global stage, as well as the appearance of new authorities at a moment when the Grand Irrationality is set into major motion.
First, some technicals. Things will be searching for varying types of concrete focus due to the two-fold "Bucket" configuration created by the Moon and Saturn creating a Grand Earth Trine in which either or both of them serve as the handle for the other planets across the map from them. The Full Moon is exactly sextile and trine the ongoing Saturn opposition Uranus, forming a rectangle where the oppositional energies we've been dealing with for several weeks can be resolved in very positive movement despite the oppositions and "head winds" shown by the Saturn opposed Uranus.
When we add the very favorable Jupiter in Capricorn, we'll have 5 points activated of a six-pointed Star pattern also known as a "Great Sextile," with the void in late Cancer. This will be an extraordinarily productive and harmonizing two weeks, where everyone can get a lot of things done while opening to what we've learned after our quest, however this has shown itself.
The New Moon at 6 Scorpio set the seed of Communion and Magnetism for this time period. From the past New Moon in Virgo through the coming Pisces lunation in late February 2009, the New Moons are all within the span of the Bowl, with Saturn leading and Uranus closing the half of the zodiac that's occupied at present. This is showing us what we are possessed of, what we have to offer to others in the areas of our charts occupied by Virgo through Pisces. These New Moons show us, sign by sign, how we are dealing with the larger gestalt patterns we find ourselves within.
The Full Moons of this time span put the focus outside of the occupied half, enabling the collected Bowl experience to express itself filling in the empty spans of experience. This is the second Full Moon where the Moon is not within the occupied signs, so it constitutes a stabilizing force for recent emergent events. That the Moon is biquintile Pluto as it focuses the Grand Earth Trine shows it to be the nozzle for seed forms of future concrete accomplishments and understandings. Transformations now will set into motion unique circumstances where our gifts will interact with others gifts in extraordinary circumstances resulting from a blessing given on a broad scale.
Mars is still the "final dispositor" to all the other planets, showing it's of primary importance. It indicates we need to stop focusing on outer things, and turn inward to honor the magnetic forces that hold things together. Many will find forms of self-realization by ramping up their devotion to the One while building and using lines of communication wisely.
Venus, ruler of the Moon in Taurus, is on the critical degree of 1 Capricorn, thus occupying that zone in the Grand Irrationality. This Full Moon ushers in yet another important set of "forks in the road of destiny" on a collective level. As with last month's lunation, it continues to be a fairly wild ride in the near future, and you can bet that decisions made now will be extremely important in what's coming down the road in 2009. One benefit in this lunation is that Venus in Capricorn does not incline to rash decisions, judgments, or interactions, and is highly measured in how it expresses what is valuable and what is not.
As usual when the Grand Irrationality is activated, things may not make much sense, but they don't have to. Please reference numerous other articles in the archives on how best to deal with this ongoing major energy that has been and will be with us for quite a few years. Humanity is truly at a turning point, and all are finding their truth, way, and allies, for better or worse. I'll be composing more on the Grand Irrationality in the immediate future, so check back soon to find out more about this decades-long weirdness we're all moving through.
As with the last Full Moon, we'll be thinking, then deciding, then feeling. That would indicate that we'll find a depth experience after we act or decide, and so be clear about what you're feeling and experiencing the next two weeks. The strength is in communicating information and/or visions, researching to find the knowledge we need, and then deciding and acting on the basis of that information and vision. The need is to allow ourselves to feel after we decide or come to a fundamental fact in order to know what it is we're experiencing, and then to allow that feeling to give rise to new information, finding balanced ways to move into the new vision.
The light is on allowing our instincts to become more socialized, and find outlets for assertiveness or aggressive tendencies that are sufficiently safe for whatever collective circumstances in which we find ourselves. The coming weeks will be marked by our ability to build lines of communication, link up separate realms, and exercise what we need to in order to find the sustenance we need.
The line of greatest evolutionary development involves knowing how to shortcut the evolutionary process by the exercise of will, mental skill, and self discipline. The inward way will show the quickest way to accomplishment, leading naturally to an understanding of how to begin a greater adventure despite feeling like the equipment is inadequate somehow. Through seeing what must be eliminated and what must be introduced as a counter-magnetic force, we can achieve a freedom of understanding and strength based in the possession of a real mission.
This is a time to extricate ourselves from old bogged down energies. This lunation is the first "capturing" in a solid form of what was promised between January and June 2008. We now stand at the front edge of the very real turning points we'll experience as Mercury, the Sun, and Mars all conjunct Pluto in the near future, activating the Grand Irrationality's "forks in the road" across multiple areas of our reality, whether personal, interpersonal, or transpersonal.
Powerful, larger-than-life forces are now in dynamic harmonization across all areas of life associated with Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. The freedom, strength, and transcendent activity promised over the next two weeks have major implications for what's coming between late April and early July 2009.
A final major influence of note is the Mars septile Jupiter, unrelated to the Grand Irrationality, but a powerful force setting up irrational conditions in separate areas than those involving the zones of the Grand Irrationality. No doubt there will be erratic and obsessive-compulsive behaviors in those who don't have a grip on their social graces, and some intense pressures will implode as growth is accelerated through elimination and regeneration. Very definitely old grudges and resentments will get resolved or tabled, at least temporarily, while others will be relieved of old pressures as they wait for conditions to catch up to where they're already at.
This is a time to take a new look at our desires and magnetism given what's breaking up, down, or through. As was true of the last Full Moon, this lunation also marks a true turning point for all of us in how we view our future service based in what's coming home after some interesting questing and wandering. We can find a form of "practical adventuring" that shows us our potential for much broader effectiveness, as well as protective forms that can heal us and allow us to rise to our Higher Self.
The process of elimination and regeneration is quickening, setting the stage for the introduction of new "galactic" level material and experiences in weeks to come. What begins in a spirit of a new adventure linking energies aimed at moving into a new world of experience will end with an investiture, a wisdom transferred from teacher to student, a release from collective karma and a transmutation of facts into intelligence so that the body is strengthened by the Soul. Still others will experience a beginning of new ways and forms of communication culminating in a new way of life after the trial of endurance and faith, while others will find forms of both.
Of particular importance are November 15-17, 19, 21, and 25-26. All in all, a very productive and stabilizing two weeks to come opening new lives for those willing to rise to the occasion.

"Powerful, larger-than-life forces are now in dynamic harmonization across all areas of life associated with Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces." What happens in Taurus? Will my Virgo asc and Leo Moon help?

Hi Robert, hope you're doing well. This article is very helpful . . . I've had much emotional intensity (with some physical manifestations) in the last two weeks. The new moon was on my birthday, and this full moon is on my venus/mars midpoint, which has always been a really sensitive point. Something ALWAYS happens when this degree gets a powerful transit. The election of course was a major infusion of hope and joy, but other than that this year has been challenging in the extreme. But I always appreciate your insights and explanations of energetic forces. Thank you!
Any chance of a belated Happy Birthday column for Joni Mitchell? The brilliant Scorpio turned 65 last week. Would love to see your take on her chart.

Dear Robert, I have been feeling like im in a crescendo like emotional experience for the last 6 months to a year. changes of intense magnitude in my career, extreme magnetic attraction and simultaneous repulsion. A feature role in my life is seemingly morphing from one phase to another. I am not nearly as educated as I'd like while I review your writings so please share some pearls of wisdom to help me deal... Feb 09, 70 - 42n18 83w01... always appreciative. Julie

Robert -
Thank you for this post. It is helping me cope with many of the emotions I've been feeling over the past day or so. Namely, as this full moon conjoins my natal Chiron in Taurus, I've felt I'm being compelled to confront painful past experiences (some of which were very transformational in nature) in order to reach some resolution - and perhaps, make room for new, positive experiences. On a positive note, with Venus transiting over my MC, I'm seeing some resolution on some professional pursuits I chased after in the spring and early summer (indeed, mostly in early to mid May)... of course they're not as compelling now since I found my new job in August!

Robert,
Just wanted to let you how much I appreciate your work and generous gift of information, this site!!! This sharing of yourself!! I wanted to get an early HAPPY THANKSGIVING off to you and yours! I have learned so much from your site, I am always going into the archives, as I have been with you only since Sept. '07. I have a small library of astrology books,(aprox. 35) but your site adds so much depth!! My Robert Hand book on transits just does not work well for me anymore, I have used it since 1980. Like it makes saturn much scarrier than what I have learned from your site, however, his book is the best transit book I have, good predictive books seem harder to come by. I am 57, and I have a few older books that were passed down from my grandmother, like Grant Lewi's Heaven Knows What(It is a hardback 1969 copyright). Me-ma was born in 1894, and I have a 2 charts she had done, they had to be in the early 1900's, as she used her maiden name, and they do not have Pluto in them. You could probably figure out the date they were done on by the progression one, but I do not do progressions at all!!! So, I have not been able to pin point a yr., and there is no date as to when she had these done. She had a natal and a progression done--really cool!! She was also a big Egar Cayce fan, a very metaphysical and psychic woman. She passed all on to my mom and me. She was a teacher, big career woman. She left in 1992, I took care of her, her last 3 years, and mom left in 1997.
THANK YOU FOR YOU!!! AND YOUR SITE!!!

Dear Robert,
I was wondering if you would offer some comments, when you have the time, on how to interpret solar vs. natal transits? I think I understand the basics of the solar chart--you put your sun's position in the first house and rearrange the houses accordingly. Is there more to it than that? Does that mean that from an ego (solar placement) perspective, in every chart there's really two houses for each heavenly body--natal and solar? Is there more to it than house placement? What are the benefits of a solar view of one's chart? Does it mean anything special for those whose natal charts have the Sun in the first already? Lastly, would it make sense to do the same for each planet or body--Chiron in the first, for example--or is the Sun given its own chart because... well, it's the Sun? Guess I'm just trying to weigh the relative relevance of each as regards transits, generally. (Solar Pluto transit of the 7th, natal Pluto transit of the 12th & Asc, specifically. Soooo glad that's over with, phew.)
Always grateful for your insights and efforts. Sending you and your family many blessings, hoping you too are feeling lighter and lifted from the amazing moments last week.

Hi all :)
Yes, I know Robert - Brevity ;) LOL not my forte but I'll try. This article is really great.
"As with the last Full Moon, we'll be thinking, then deciding, then feeling. That would indicate that we'll find a depth experience after we act or decide, and so be clear about what you're feeling and experiencing the next two weeks."
As I have learned so much from your work ... Leo is the sign of motivations and Aquarius is the sign of expectations. The lessons above have been tantamount in the last several years for me. I HAD a very
karmic individual in my life who is a Leo Sun which made an exact and permanent T-square to my natal Venus opposite Moon throwing a void into Aquarius and unto thier and my pholus in the 7th hse, ect causing a permanent rift of suspicion and predjudice in our relationship even when I never did anything to warrant it they would create a situation to fit unconciously this dynamic and I suffered for it for over 20 plus years. But as you have said before through Rudhyars works - there is a degree that of three stain glassed windows, aspects of man's soul and if one is shattered by constant war - love and compassion is destroyed. This article speaks eloquently of think first, then decide ( hopefully with discrimination ) and then grow by experiencing the subsequent feelings as opposed to acting first based on projected or unconcious or undigested emotions/complexes without forethought to thier outcome to oneself or others. This energy was not permanently fixedly changed until my interception kicked in with the past several years of Grand Irrationality stuff and liberating me by moving physically to a new locale in upstate NY. The asteroid Niagara Falls is exactly the same degree as this old karmic persons sun and very physically replaced this energy in my life hence liberation ensued.
It permanently changed for me my views and understanding of all that had occurred prior
especially about this persons motivations and expectations which literally still exist to this
day and have nothing to do with me personally or who I am in real life. As you wrote in your earlier article the Dice was cast this past July for All, permanently. Very cool stuff. Thanks for the article, Mel.

Dearest Highest HIGHNESS of ALL WHO ARE HIGH,
My current state of a very grand irrational mind/spirit coupled with this last piece of yours is akin to this great skit a short lived commediane (whom I an unable to remember her name cuz I am an old woman) performed in late 70's early 80's that coined the kind of man she wanted in her life. I believe the dramatic piece was as follows:
"If this guy ever shows up, I want him to kick down the door, grab me by the hair, drag me across the floor, pull me into his face, promise me he will assist me in finding the goal of my soul for the rest of my life and then F--- the S--- out of me!
That said my dear, with all the current emotional earth, wind, fire and waters affecting the planet socially, politically and environmentally, I've been in deep mediation here in the desert's Scorpian sun in this Virgo state to get THROUGH and get OVER the fears and obstacles being tossed my way in hopes of FEELING hope. Your work today is confirmation! Please tell your little Goddessa Bella Bernadetta to make your favorite dish and plant a kiss on both cheeks.
Tutti Baci.....Tutti Grazie

Hey you ;p~~~ LOL
Everyone needs alittle silly these days I think
and most definately some disciplined Apathy/deaf ear towards those pathetically veiled folks who are really still just fixed in thier own obsessive compulsive behaviors.
Sheesh any cures for dealing with these types during these astrological slipstream events of evolution while we all try to evolve and learn and they try to regress ? I mean really who do they think they're fooling - scratch the surface of thier veil and it's all still the same gunk - no originality makes for a stagnant soul underneath or no souls - it's hard not to give them what they've always given you ~
crocodile tears I'd say.
Okay, this lunation really started by being a corker or culmination of much of these astrological events
that have been ongoing and occurring since this WHOLE process started wayback with the Grand Irrationality stuff. You can ride the wave, ignore the wave and of course theres always let's get hammered BY the waves :)LOL. After doing time in the last few years of my own rigor I am very happy to say that I am feeling really really great with this lunation and where everything has ended up. A new horizon and new motivations. Especially taking my Mars in whole new directions and continueing on creatively again. Once the magnetism got clear .. I got clear :) and beauty abounds inside and out .. Art, writing, videos .. and now what I love to do most as an Aries explore and travel - especially places of power and old ruins - be still my heart I love the magic, lol. It's been like breathing life into a whole new person though Qi Gong and getting in shape helps too. Namaste everyone - Mel

I found the August full moon eclipse very significant, and now this full moon has proved equally so, with myself, Leo and others in my life, Aquarius, Scorpio and Taurus.
I agree that the Grand Irrationality is making the above people act with OCD behaviour, and giving into their base desires!
I hope the next two weeks will give me some good news, this year has been an emotional rollercoaster!

RW,
Another divinely inspired post. It clarifies much of the trial of "endurance and faith" that began for me when Mars and Pluto were last conjunct. I became beset by a terribly painful condition that stumped every doctor I visited. After nearly a year I was beginning to seriously fear that I would carry this debilitating pain for the rest of my life, and the accompanying depression was terrible.
But just a mere handful of hours after the Full Moon, I received a call from a doctor at Stanford who identified my condition and even informed me about a clinic that can treat me! The relief in receiving this news was tremendous.
Now all that stands between me and a return to a pain-free life is the money needed to attend the clinic. Your advice about realizing our vision and building lines of communication fits well with my need to find loaners or donors.
I've noticed that the aforementioned Mars/Pluto cycle ends/restarts in late December. Maybe a time to look forward to?
Thank you so much for all you do, Robert! After I'm healed up and traveling the world I'll be sure to make a stop in LA, I'll buy us some wine and pizza. :)
And add me to the list of Joni fans!!

Hi Anne - I was describing the rulers of those signs being in aspect. Taurus is the focus of the Full Moon, and the Jupiter-Saturn aspect of course assists Virgo and Taurus. If the Full Moon is at cross purposes to your Moon, then it is the solution to the larger T-square going on.
Hi Lainie - Well enough given there is too much to do and not enough time. If the New Moon was on your birthday, it fell near your Solar Return, which is significant. And of course I did the Joni birthday article. Can't do the chart due to needing to compose other things. The end of the year is upon us, and I have about 20 articles to compose while still navigating some personal pressures due to family emergencies.
Hi Julie - This is a powerful time for everyone due to the Grand Irrationality. This has been a year of getting it in gear to fulfill the vision of 2007. Next year should bring integration and awareness of the whole of how things fit together. Expect major developments between February and April.
Hi Matt - When Chiron is involved, it offers a chance to rise to the Higher Self through mastering the challenge of coming to a philosophical or healing view of whatever it is. And given your chart I'm sure it's about to get very good for you over the next 12 weeks.
Hi Deb - You're most welcome, and thanks for the T'giving wishes. While I also studied Hand's works years ago, I found some assessments unnecessarily pessimistic. As for transits, Astrology for the Millions by Grant Lewi was the pioneering work. While some paragraphs are obviously dated (since it was written in 1940) it's still one of the best. And yes, I could probably figure out when your Grandmother's charts were done by the progressions. Look at where the PSun is, since it moves about 1 degree per year. That should help you pinpoint it. Then cross check an ephemeris for the day and year she was born, count down each day until you find the PSun, and that will tell you when she had it done. Glad you had such enlightened ancestry, as that says something about your Soul group.
Hi Gemini 14 - The Solar Chart is exactly as you infer. Do a chart for Sunrise, and that's the Solar chart. Yes, there are two house positions for each planet, one relative to the Asc, one relative to the Sun. Each has its importance. The Solar chart is what's happening regarding your Illumination principle, the power of who you essentially ARE. The Ascendant is what you individually are to bring forth unique to the general patterns of the day indicated by the Solar chart.
If the Sun is in the first but a different sign than the Ascendant, it makes a huge difference. If the Sun and rising are the same, then we can infer that the Light and individual statement of Being are the same. I don't ascribe to individual planetary charts, though there are those who do. The Sun is our individuality, integrity, and Light. The rest derive their power from the Sun. Without the Sun, nothing else would have much relevance, since the Sun is what gives Light/Life to our entire Solar System. Logos is always supreme over its various extensions.
Hi Aditya - You're welcome again and again. Glad that I can offer practical suggestions, since writing for the world limits what can and cannot be communicated. Thanks for the best wishes.
Hi Melody - Don't know what "pholus" is, but it sounds like you have the basics of the mechanics down. Just remember that the planets never cause anything. If there was suspicion and prejudice, it's because whoever chooses those responses rather than otherwise. But I suppose it's good that you learned to recognize the pattern, since it can prevent more of the same in the future. Pluto went SRX on that degree in 2008, and will again transit that degree in 2009, so it's one of the larger lessons everyone is learning.
Hi Chickie - Including Haile Selassie? ;-) Intense commedienne you paraphrase! Glad the article confirms things. Be good to yourself, sweet lady.
Hi Amy - If your Moon is in Taurus, it's the focus of the lessons of the time. You'll learn what nurtures and what doesn't, or a need you should take care of. If your Moon is in Scorpio, it will be illuminated with a chance to exteriorize through stabilizing calm.
Hi Michele - Glad what I write helps make sense of what's happening. Now that I'm off the road, we can set up the next interview.
Hi again Melody - The "cure" for maladjusted people isn't a thing that is easily or simply addressed. We are told by a legit Master of the Wisdom that in the long range future humanity will split into higher and lower humanity. I believe what we learn and do now will influence how dense or light we are in centuries to come. Many are fearful of individuation, others are just regressives who resent anyone who is more aware, compassionate, happier, or smarter than they are. Not much cure for resentment in another, since we cannot take responsibility for their bad behavior. Keep exploring as you never know what you'll find!
Hi Alice - I hope by now you've received the good news you requested! If not, stand by, since new cycles of becoming are already in motion.
Hi reefaroundme - Already done!
Hi ChicagoAries - Sorry to hear you had to endure pain, and very glad you found assistance and relief. You may be able to find ways to make it happen in this coming period if your Jupiter finds its expression. And if we are both in LA at the same time, I'd be glad to join you!

Your Highness,
Please tell me that when you chose "including Haile Selassie" that you knew he and I have the same b-day. Cuz if that not the case, not to mention the 222's, 333's, 444's, 555's and 1111's that have been zapping me 3x per day in synch.....THERE IS TOO MUCH MAGIK going on! No choice but to go with the "flo" and hope for a safe landing in a safe land!

Hi all - Thanks. It was truly a good Thanksgiving.
Hi Chickie - Haile was a wordplay on your phrase "Dearest Highest HIGHNESS of ALL WHO ARE HIGH," and while I had forgotten you share his birthday (sorry - I know we discussed that a while ago!) it does indicate you share the same light, which is considerable! It does seem that synchronicity is in the air, and that the magic of life is moving many of us into interesting vectors of future productivity. And remember to stay away from toy stores visited by people with guns.....
Posted by: Robert | November 30, 2008 at 07:34 AM
YOUR HIGHNESS
First, the Haile comment WAS a synchro, because I don't remember you mentioning we shared the same birthday. Something made me look his bday up then stopped breathing! Second, I've had 6 dreams about robberies since 10/10/08 taking place in nearly every house/apt I've lived in including this one. Since 11/24 and the forward motion of Uranus I hear 3-4 sirens per day, Toys R Us shoot out, Jewerly stores, Grandmas on tape robbing banks, car accidents galore,a freaking melt down with my mother over her image of my brothers,(THE CLONES OF JESUS CHRIST)my girlfriend/avid cyclist flipped over her handle bars on the street, and today they announced bandits behind gated communities. Then at 1:32 today our windows did the shakey jakey dance for 30 seconds!
While I feel productivity and opportunity is coming my way, (agreed to a choreography video job just last night)....only hope I live through it!
Ciao ciao for now my friend!

Hi Chickie - Well, once we learn to distinguish the apparently dangerous from the truly dangerous, then we can get beyond responses that don't serve anything or any one. Sorry you're dealing with chaos. I remember giving a talk to some wealthy people in Hollyweird in 1989 and telling them that gated communities won't stop barbarians who want to steal, hurt, or whatever. They were disappointed in that answer, but as you know, it's true. We have to walk in the light, keep our powder dry, and move on as needed, since the only true sanctuary is with our true friends in conscious community. Must be difficult for your brothers being images of the mythological Geezuz. Very tough gig. Hang in there as "Earth moves, under my feet...." Congrats on the video gig.
