The title says it all. Sorry for spacing out advance notice, but Michele and I really connected today on a wide range of great topics! More about future interviews and today's web radio interview below the fold.
Jupiter in Aquarius brings social power and group initiation resulting from Jupiter in Capricorn's organizing of the new horizons, visions of higher truths, and greater opportunities opened by 2007's Jupiter in Sag. Jupiter, the "expansive principle," or "guru" in Sanskrit, teaches us ways to liberate ourselves as it makes it way through the zodiac. Wherever we have Sagittarius and Pisces planets and houses, we should open to a broader vision, accept a larger responsibility, and welcome friends as we enter into greater group awareness and social effectiveness.
Over the next few weeks I'll be composing many articles about what each sign, as well as all signs, will be going through in 2009. Today offers a brief snapshot for each sign.
Christmas Eve begins a fairly spectacular series of early evening skies lasting for a week. Mercury is now far enough away from the Sun to be visible, conjunct Jupiter in the early evening skies here in the Northern Hemisphere, with Venus just above them conjunct invisible Neptune in Aquarius. They are clearly visible in the early evening skies if there are no clouds. The next 7 days features even more incredible sights.
The next few days we're experiencing Mars conjunct Pluto, the last in a series of conjunctions of inner planets with Pluto at the Galactic Center. Any time a planet conjuncts Neptune or Pluto the Grand Irrationality is triggered. Today's article may help those struggling with the larger irrational, obsessive-compulsive energies of this years-long configuration.
The elegant and classy Catwoman just died at 81. Saturn is exactly opposed and Uranus conjunct her Moon, Sun is on her Mars, and Jupiter on her PF. "Santa baby" must have given her what she wanted.... (Update on Michael Jackson rumors below the fold.)
From long years of past personal experience and knowing many people throughout my life who have had similar responses, it seems safe to say that the holiday season brings up difficult feelings. Not that we all have them every year, but it is normal for many to experience sadness or some difficulty with their emotions. While I believe this can be antidoted over time, for those who are struggling it can be challenging. Today's article offers some ideas to help those trying to cope.
One of my primary concerns as a man of conscience and blogger has been to spotlight the stench of slavery wherever it is happening, that we may all affirm and do whatever moves us to end this abominable virus upon humanity. I've spent years focusing on the child slaves of the African chocolate meatgrinder feeding America cheap chocolate on the backs of starving children. Today I found a very valuable article sketching a larger global picture of slavery that offers a broader view of the larger issue.
Winter Solstice 2008 occurs at 4:04 am PST, 12:04 pm GMT on December 21, 2008. This is the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, and from now on the Solar force will get longer and stronger, a welcome relief for those of us who need lots of sunshine to keep our dispositions equally sunny.
There's a lot of upheaval in many lives right now, with people looking for jobs, changing jobs, or wondering if they should be doing something differently than they are. As I was in the same situation many times when younger, today I'll offer some ways to approach what is, and what could be.
