Spiritual Astrology in December 2008 and January-February 2009 - Uranus and Neptune Direct Finishing Lessons As Pluto Enters An Unknown Zone
by Robert Wilkinson
In the early months of the year the outer planets enter unknown zones of Spiritual futures indicated by degree spans not experienced in close to a century or more. This three-fold series of Higher Pulses each and together give us glimpses of phases of experience we've never known before. In Spring they each go retrograde at various points in time. By mid-Summer, they are all retrograde, bringing newer, deeper insights and connectedness with the Divine Process.
In September, October, and November, all three of the outer Invisible Triad moved from retrograde to direct motion. When any of the Outer Invisible Triad are retrograde, we are given a chance to look back, receive inspiration and Divine idealism, and prepare for future new developments. We then can implement these as each goes direct in motion at their respective stations.
At this point in history, over a span of weeks each Autumn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto all go direct in motion anew, retracing the ground they've transited for the third time. These times finish up that particular span of experience even as the Transpersonal planets gather momentum to enter newer Unknown Zones. Uranus and Neptune are now finishing their previous spans, and Pluto prepares to move into pioneering territory in late January.
When the outer Triad are retrograde, it's a time when we can receive signals of external Transpersonal paths to our Higher Creativity, Connectedness, and recognition of the Seeds of the Future. We can do this as a result of the contrasting view (RX) of the larger Transpersonal field we confront anew, having experienced it when the planet was direct.
When the outer planets are retrograde, we find ourselves in time periods when we must become more aware of our outer planetary function. This involves adaptations to society's or humanity's needs, opening ourselves to the unusual, strange, or hidden transformative possibilities of experience.
They are "karmic return" periods, since our opportunities to find a higher function are conditioned by past realizations of our Dharmic or Spiritual manifestations. These periods help us find an element of our larger planetary function(s) in order to fulfill our unique purpose within a Solar Systemic frame of reference through living a Transpersonal life.
We can learn how to purify an aspect of self to be of better service to ourselves and others, and/or find others with whom we feel connected in a higher or deeper sense. In concert with others, or communion with our Highest Self, we can demonstrate our creativity or special qualities and generate a "collective pulse."
Let us take a look back to see how this manifested. In May and June 2008 Uranus and Neptune both went stationary retrograde, marking new thresholds of Spiritual lessons we will be reflecting on and showing Spiritual steps to be re-traced through December 2009. Neptune went retrograde at 25 Aquarius on May 26, at almost the same point in time that Mercury went retrograde in close trine to Neptune. Uranus just hit its retrograde station on June 26 at 23 Pisces.
This commenced a period when Neptune put the awakenings that happened when Uranus crossed this part of Aquarius between April 2001 and November 2002 into collective consciousness. Any willful misdirections or upheavals of that time can now be dissolved in the light of a greater unified understanding of the higher possibilities in this span of Aquarius.
The Uranus station prepared us all for polarizations occurring since Saturn in direct motion hit the opposition with Uranus. This affected all starting September 2008, and has increased in intensity the past few months. We have been given opportunities to awaken to new powers beyond our ordinary understanding by learning to cooperate with our immortal reality. This will teach us to pay attention to clear pictures of the end results we want to achieve.
Of course, those who have not been living their integrity have suffered. These forms of failure have resulted in escalating major confusion, deception, instability, or misperceptions, depending on they have faced the consequences. Those who do not learn from the small things are sure not to understand the larger patterns that determine their suffering or triumph.
When Uranus and Neptune were retrograde from June to October 2008, it was a time to review the paths and challenges from Spirit that brought us to the threshold of new beginnings. We could take a new look at our ideals, the way we're relating to others and everything that is, consciously and unconsciously, and how we were willing to embrace our uniqueness or genius.
By November 2008 they were both in forward motion, retracing degree spans we were already familiar with, giving us a chance to demonstrate those spiritual lessons and skills in ways that carry us into the future. By March 2009 they will complete retracing those earlier spans, and enter degree spans not known in our memory, except for Uranus.
Pluto was retrograde between April and September 2008, and retraced familiar territory for the third time from September through December 2007. It entered its Unknown Zone in late December, then entered Capricorn for the first time in about 240 years in January 2008. It continued occupying this new territory through March before going stationary retrograde on April 2, 2008.
In May and June it retrograded back through the first degree of Capricorn and re-entered Sagittarius for the last time on June 13-14. It began to move forward in September from its station at 29 Sagittarius, the last time it will be in Sag for centuries to come.
It re-entered Capricorn in late November, and will continue to retrace familiar Capricorn degrees until it move into its unknown zone in late January. It will hit its forward station in April at 4 Capricorn, and again RX through the first 4 degrees of Capricorn until September, when it will again go stationary direct at 1 Capricorn.
Even though it has moved out of Sag, it is still conjunct the Galactic Center, and brings forth galactic seeds each time it is aspected. This will continue for for many months to come, so please reference various articles on this site concerning the Galactic Center if you want to know more about this important point in human history.
As the outers move forward, they stimulate unknown spans of experience for most of those presently alive now. These zones of course were known to previous generations, but most on Earth do not remember the last time Neptune was in Aquarius, or Pluto in Capricorn. Only those in their 80s or older remember the last time Uranus was in Pisces.
By March 2009, all three outer planets will re-enter zones for the first time since their previous cyclic visit. As they enter into new degree spans, they reawaken that energy in the collective consciousness. This of course affects everyone to some degree or another, just in different forms for this time in history.
To recap, when the outers move forward, we subjectively experience the Unknown Zones as the mystery, the future-in-the-becoming, or the process of Divine Self-transformation. When they are retrograde, we experience those energies from different perspectives.
Now that they all are direct we are in a period where we will be finishing our lessons of awakening, individualizing, and comprehending a larger compassion or world view that began May, June, and July 2007. In Summer and Autumn 2008 we did a spiritual review and found new perspectives, understandings, and ways to participate in the larger evolutionary pulses the outer Triad symbolize.
We're now moving forward. Finish assimilating the wisdom you've glimpsed the past 18 months, and get ready to enter new threshold states within a few weeks.

Hi Robert... NEPTUNE!
I wonder how u get the time to answer so many posts and hope u can give me advice on this one as u did last time. I really need it. It seems in a few days I'll finally be able to move to an apartment I rented. It was given to me in the w/e during the uranus/saturn opposition and it's been a really troublesome affair 'cause it got flooded the day after. I thought choosing the right time to move in would get me some astrological help so things work out fine from there on. I was thinking about doing so on dec. 28th right after the Moon exits combustion and a Jupiter/Mercury/Moon conjunction is applying. During those hours the Sun also crosses my Asc and trines my natal Jupiter (natal grand trine with Chiron too). One problem: Neptune conjuncts venus. Now Neptune is someone I really wanna have nothing to do with. It conjuncted mercury in my 2008 Solar return and it's as if my head was ripped off my shoulders this year. I've not been able to think clearly and foolish mistakes keep popping up in every single one of my tasks to the point it almost cost me my job. Neptune is square (85°) my natal Saturn also. Now, back to the apartment, I can't help but think "FLOOD - NEPTUNE" and I certainly don't want to see Venus' social energy diluted from my new place just as my mind is this year. I know Venus and Neptune could add up to a really glamorous place, but so far I've only seen Neptune dilute everything it touches in my life (oh yes, btw, It's currently transting my 2nd) so I disregard the possibility. If I don't choose the 28th the next date I like is way too far and the good transits to my natal will be lost... I don't know what to do!!! I must say, with no pride, I'm having some Neptune-related issues in my personal life (lack of personal will, substance abuse). Is there any chance these Neptune issues may be spilling over to other things? Perhaps this is the REAL advice I need. It still bugs me though, when I should move in, what is your advice? Is this ellection actually important?
I was as brief as I could. Thank u very much for the site but even more for your time.

Hi Andres' - Sorry for the delay, but I've been swamped. Today is good, so is tomorrow or the next. The Moon is far more important in moves than the outer planets. I trust you've made your decision by now.
