All signs will be profoundly affected in some very beneficial ways as a result of this January 25/26, 2009, Solar Eclipse at 7 Aquarius. There will be much work to be done, and everything favors practical productivity and beautiful endings and beginnings. Extraordinary rewards are to be had, refining our sense of enjoyment as we plan anew and prepare to integrate into a wider social matrix.
I understand that most people have come to dread eclipses as a result of historical superstitions as well as actual events. Yes, eclipses mark the end of old ways, where new "lights" appear in our lives as well as the lives of nations. If you want to explore more about these things called "Solar Eclipses," check out the linked article after you're done here.
Today we continue to examine the effects of this Solar Eclipse of January 25-26, 2009 in Aquarius. In that article we explored some of the qualities of this eclipse and possible general effects for us all. It also contains links to the August 2008 Solar Eclipse articles covering influences that still affect us at present, as well as other 2007 and 2008 eclipses. At the end of this article there's a link to a 2007 eclipse post that contains many links to the influence of eclipses back to 2001, some of which also continue to influence the lives of people and nations.
A brief recap with some new information: This eclipse will show as new opportunities arising from the power of "unrealized purposes," where we can plan anew based in the emergence of manifestations of Kosmos, freed from local conditions and old assumptions. It heralds new mutations wherever it falls, and will help us grow past old disappointments into genuine dispassion.
The original symbol for this Lunation Eclipse is "A child born of an eggshell." This symbol is said to hold illimitable potentials found in forms of self-realization, where we find enlightenment in our self-projections naturally arising from our hologram, also known as "the auric egg." We are told this is a degree of "highly individual and completely unlimited resourcefulness."
Due to the focus of this eclipse, we will all find ourselves custodians of something of value, or a stewardship of some "social function." Through exercising the prerogatives of our duty to that which will outlive us, over the next 3+ years we can find a gift for bringing others together in a stable union serving some common purpose.
And now, on to your individual sign! These descriptions also apply to those who have these as a Rising Sign, or Ascendant.
Aries - This places you in very high profile, and marks the end of old work and beginnings of new work, purpose, and responsibilities. Expect returns and rewards in the professional and partnership realms for your practical capabilities and the courage and responsibility you've taken on before now. Your profession may move toward group work or larger collective efforts. Find the right way to serve the most important need while adjusting to practical necessities. Get a health regimen.
Taurus - This will help you focus on learning a broader view or knowledge so that you can capture long held ambitions and get some closure on old ways of seeing yourself and your work. You'll have the power to attract both good and bad, so be clear about potential consequences of vague ambitions. You'll be working at your play, and playing at your work. Go for broad-visioned public or professional development where you can demonstrate your unique insights while cultivating a new world of close interrelationships.
Gemini - Find mature methods to eliminate what you need to, and allow your magnetism to bring you things you've never dreamed of. There will be losses, and your ability to connect deeply with others will come forth. You'll start showing more of your uniqueness in your world, so learn how to articulate your heart strength and vision. You're finding a whole new ground on which to build, as well as new friends who are mature and responsible. Let go of the past while learning to enjoy yourself as you play in the world of the 5 senses and the mind.
Cancer - It may seem like others increasingly have more power than you. Take an unusual view of what you're learning to enjoy and the rewards you'll receive for sustained work. You can discover a different form of healthy detachment and friendliness than you've known before. Note recurring relationship patterns, finding new self disciplines to get rewards you've longed for. Train your mind and speech to focus on what you venerate. Look for new parts of you to show themselves, as well as new values unrelated to the past.
Leo - Let go, let God, and experience relief and self-transfiguration at the end of a long march. Your relationships will grow and heal into more ideal forms as you withdraw from others' projections, see their motives, and plan anew. Whatever is lost is over anyway, and will help you individualize and become more compassionate, You can capture all the assets you need to do your work more effectively. Expect things to get easier professionally, as well as new ways to serve or work that offer your originality new forms of expression.
Virgo - This will re-shape your self expression in ways you've never dreamt of. Old pleasures will end and be replace with things you've never known. Elements of your past will leave forever, so figure out what you value and are willing to demonstrate to others. Be compassionate when dealing with people who are unusual, deep, or mysterious. Examine what you truly care about and care for, and move toward those goals. Your efficiency will be up, as will opportunities to take responsibility in your public life.
Libra - Your foundations will be reorganized to make them more effective, and you'll be moving through many endings and closures, with karma dictated by what you're willing to uphold or leave unfinished. You can get more in touch with your ancestry in the future and interpret early life experiences differently. Follow through professionally while building a deeper set of roots or more innovative forms of self expression. Find a way to stay in contact with those in your environment while becoming more of a unique creative force at work.
Scorpio - A wealth of hidden things are ending, so take the widest possible view and be efficient in expressing how things need reorganization. There will be new friends coming into your life that you can work with. Learn all you can and be disciplined and pragmatic regarding money and assets, since there are rewards to be had for past perseverance. Get clear about the specifics of any plan to accomplish long term ambitions. Long journeys and higher education are very favorable if they take care of basic needs or open futures.
Sagittarius - Learn how to back off from extremes, and be willing to work hard and fast to acquire rewards for long held ambitions. This shows a need to be clear about what you show to the public while allowing a wider view of what money and resources are really good for. Intuition will be heightened, as will peculiar or dualistic behavior in others. Find a new way to communicate with others, or a new way to do your professional responsibilities. Embrace your ancestral wisdom. New ideas and views are on the way.
Capricorn - You're in a long term self-purifying mode, and more protected than you think. Clear out old motives, aggravations, and appreciate unusual, practical, and broader views of truths you're finding and want to uphold in your world. Detach and become more impersonal about yourself, your relations, and your desires. Losses favor growth. Pursue higher education or a spiritual practice that is simple yet stabilizing. New and different partnership interactions with new values and broader aims will present themselves.
Aquarius - You'll be pulled by a more powerful magnetism than you've known in two decades into a future that cuts you loose from the known and familiar. Be efficient in getting quick closure on old attitudes and forms of self expression. You're protected and being offered openings greater than you could imagine before now. People will come to you, so learn to hope, to touch and be touched, and see what you admire that you're willing to uphold as your legacy. A new understanding of your life story will become evident.
Pisces - As the revolution in your life continues, see what truly motivates you and what type of higher ambitions you really would like to pursue. Friends are all around, and though occasionally difficult or hard to understand, they're showing you a greater maturity and autonomy in how to be an equal with others. Your work and self-expression will take a different form than you've known before now, so search for what you really care about and which nurtures you as you do it. You also will find yourself closer to your ancestry than before.
Here's the article on The Solar and Lunar Eclipses of August and September 2007 that I promised you earlier. In it you'll find related articles to how the Moon's Nodes are involved in eclipses, as well as an article explaining the influences of the eclipses that occurred from 2001-2006,

Robert..
for Scorpio you wrote ..."a wealth of "Hidden things are ending"...I seem to be able to see more clearly
others hidden agenda,s/motives...and have been expressing it. The "efficient part" Im still working at...
Direct/straight
forward/to the point? without "attacking, and or "sugar-coating it, so I feel comfortable? I have had a few expierences
lately, and it surprized me that I "heard/felt it" and then that I responded calmly/truthfully ref
the "hidden motive". Didn,t make them very happy...
And I seem to be attracting more of these oportunities, or Im noticing each time they appear, and
I seem to "have too" express what is being "hidden".....it is not making me very popular :-)
Blessings amigo :-)

...after writing, I checked out another site, and I found the words "sticking our heads
in the sand" ref todays Jupiter semi-square with Uranus....my mouth dropped as I had uttered those words 2-3 times in the last week
in conversation with others, ref past behavior of mine.
Now I am clear ref my last post....I cannot "ignore-stick my head in the
sand" ref "hidden agenda's-motives" that I am seeing/hearing/feeling....and I must express/bring it
out in the open/shine a light on the issue....
as I look back over the last month or so, that is exactly what I have done, in many different
situations, calling others on behavior that I had stuck my head in the sand about for way...... too
long, allowing them to take advantage of me.
:-)!!!!!!!!!!!!

Robert,
Thanks for the articles related to the recent Solar eclipse. It makes me believe that its a great eclipse with all positives. This eclipse falls exactly on the cusp of my 3rd/4th house conjuncting my IC. Am I safe ?
Thank you!
Posted by: SB | January 27, 2009 at 08:39 AM
Hi Donna - Thanks for checking in. I never have believed that anything is automatically good or bad, but that things have their place in a larger cosmic dance of endings followed by beginnings. Eclipses are merely long term lunations, and this one seems to promise really good effects.
Hi c - If your Rising sign is 5 Capricorn, then the eclipse falls near the cusp of where your Ascendant meets your 2nd house. It definitely falls in your 2nd house using an Equal House system, but it may fall in your first house using another system. Definitely read Capricorn. there may be elements of the other as well, but Capricorn is the main focus.
Hi Laura - You're welcome, and thanks for your kind words. I suppose some intuition comes into play, but in my view this is mainly just multi-level analysis and synthesis. and thanks for the blessings!
Hi Mary - He does offer us all hope for a world radically different than the one we've inhabited the past several decades. The issues will remain for awhile, until they realize they'll do better in peace than at war. But I do see the end of wars on the distant horizon, and hopefully we've just taken a big step in that direction. And of course you're most welcome.
Hi Shehzaad - Thanks for your words. May we all live to see love, truth, peace, beauty, and culture reign supreme in our world.
HI Joy - Trying to put everything into a nutshell is its own challenge, and I'm glad to be able to offer everyone something for the Soul.
Hi WHR - The reward of efforting toward efficiency is the attaining of many techniques of efficiency. It sounds like you're eliminating old reactivity, and learning to observe the movement of the echoes of the lower self with compassion and insight. Popularity is not all it's cracked up to be, like wealth and fame. As for letting our light shine, sometimes we have to hide our light so as not to arouse unnecessary enmities, and let many things pass without being duped. It's all a matter of circumstances. In some, silence is the way. In others, we must tell the truth and stand firm in the light without fear.
Hi SB - I would think that if it falls on the IC, you're in for a new way of seeing your past, or perhaps even going to move to a new location. Especially since it implies that Jupiter is moving into your 4th for a while, you should do quite well in seeing a greater ideal and resolving some old confusions. You're most welcome.

Dear Robert!
Your interpretation of this Eclipse is one of the most optimistic ones;) You are a Master of empowering, encouraging and inspiring people. Thank you.
As we had a kind of discussion on www.arimoya.ru about the symbolism of this latest phenomenon I even took and translated 2 passages from your text(with copyright;)
But what seemed a bit strange is the formula -description of the 7th degree of Aquarius. Why is it "A child born of an eggshell" but not "out of the egg"? To my Slavic ear it sounds not very much understandible, though your explanation about "the auric egg" is beyond any estimation and evaluation:):):)
Has anybody ever told you that to translate your style is not an easy affair, but rather challenging?...

Dear Robert,
How should I understand « It may seem like others increasingly have more power than you » ? That I will increasingly have to deal with people who have a certain power or authority over me ?
Thank you for this enlightment: with the gift of your words, we get e bonus of energy to carry on !
Grazie mille,

I was wondering what is happen in my life. Asc at 9.49 Aquarius
My moon 28.Sag, Sun 23.40 Virgo Venus at 21.49 Leo Pluto at 23.34 Leo Mars 1 Virgo, Mercury 1 Libra, Saturn 24 Libra, Jupiter 25 Gem, Uranus 25 Can. 16/09/53 at 2.30 pm
Sorry if it to long
Since the 12th of Jan my life has been upside down. My right to choose was taking away from me. I am mature student. I APPLY to evening course to reinforce the one I am doing during the day. 2 of my classmates have joined the course. Tutor X who give us classes on same subject during the day refuse to sign my application. He gave me all sort excuses starting: I was not good for that level. It was long hours. Did not know the curriculum etc. I refute his excuses, as the level is the same as the daytime. I gave him the benefit of the doubt regarding the curriculum. My heart I felt, he was playing me.
He did not come back to me as he told me. I wrote him a letter the 13 Jan explained my reasons again. I made very clear if he still refused my application I was to challenge him as I saw it as discrimination to me.
On the 14 Jan I meet him and another tutor XX. He saw my work then he told me it was not my work but that I have missed classes. I told both I was ill medical letters were given to tutor XX. Also both knew my disabilities
I emphasis despite my illness and absences I presented my work. He told me you last project still you have not presented it. I told him tutor XX agreed that I bring it for the 19th. I explained again my need to reinforce my skills on vectors design program. It was my choice over long hours. He did not want to reason. Nor tutor XX who also told me I came late, I told her every one does it. At the end he told me ‘’I advice you to concentrated on you day program’. I thank him for his advice and told him I am over 50 years old and I know what is the best for me “” he told I am the one who decided as I am the head of the program and I refused your application. I told him fine it was his choice but I will challenge his decision and if it was needed I will have to take injunction against him. I left the room very distress.
By 19 Jan I present my work, around 11.am a class representative called me out to tell me ‘’watch out Rosi. Tutor XX has asked a representatives to gather evidence against you’’ it was break time I asked those who were still on the class If I have done anything from them to complained against me. One student told me ‘Rosi I did NOT sign the letter. B Representative the one who Tutor XX asked her to do letter against me, told me she felt pressured by Tutor xx, as tutor xx told her I was against a tutor X. Another student remarked in loud voice ‘’Rosi has not done nothing against us’ .The issue was between tutor xx and her ‘ .We are 35 students, 6 have signed letter
At 1pm I went to see the Acting Director. I did complain to him against tutor XX then Acting Dir gave me a horrible warning letter and if I did not improve my disrupt behavior by the 28th of Jan I was to be expulse from the college.
So any complains against tutor XX and challenge to tutor X ill decision was took away from me. It has destroyed me, it has hit me so hard as I see a great injustice done and I am bully to accept their ill actions. Not only tutor XX made false allegations but involved another students against me. But allegations she wrote 20th of Jan are false. Same time other tutor X wrote another note against me. I never acted incorrect nor have disrespect tutors or have done anything against my classmates. I do not deserve that aggressive letter. Now I am in middle of quitting the college I am a nervous wreck. . I do not want to wake up. I go to classes only because I do not want to give them the chance to take me out. I am walking on eggshells; I am so distress I cry often. My daughter made an appointment for me to see a Psychotherapist. I love what I do, but I can’t bear to see Tutors
Prior 19 Jan neither tutors nor students have ever raise any complains to me verbally or by notes. College has disciplinary procedures none even were followed. It hurts so much. My Dr has given diazepam to take. The psychotherapist I saw felt strongly as me that tutor X was in a power trip with me. And letter of Act Dir was a form of bully to me to stop making any complains or challenge tutor X ill decision or against tutor X and as consequences of my letter of 13 Jan to tutor X . That is exactly what I felt on the 19 Jan and still do.
I am not a quieter, my stomach churcks every time I need to speak to tutors I avoid them. Over the 6 students I do Not care but I feel hard done they should have no better what was happening before they signed it. We are all adults. Tutor XX wrote ‘’students feel intimidated with Rosi presence, tutor X alleges a don’t follow his advice to use a mouse while using my laptop; he felt that this was a disturbing behavior. Letter 19th alleges also the students as tutors cannot work on my presence. Acting Dir told me to take few days off but I did not as I felt he could use it against me. . If I quit I can join next year another college but i will lost one year . what they did to me, they will do to others. I cannot let them go away with the injustice done to me. all this is causing me extreme distress since tutor X refused my application. I feel also he has discriminated me . I must complain otherwise I will drive me self mad
Please advice. Is this irrational result of Aquarius eclipse?
Kindest regards
Rosi

I am a Virgo who unfortunately experienced one of the darkest days of my life Jan 26th. I woke up feeling so blah and just no will to do anything. My life is good but I was hit with a deep wall of depression so consuming. I managed to pull myself out of it but with a lot of help from others. I then lost my best little friend, my silly little dingle bird Pippins, my budgie. I was devastated....I was close to this little feathered fellow....sorrry my post is so dismal....but well..eclipses have not been positive for me...however the following day miracles do occur.....but no...my bird did not come back to life....bye my pretty bird Pippins.

Amigo..
Im struggling,
and it seems Im holding on to the lower self. I seem to be attracting more people who want to fight/instigate/
antagonize/etc...it seems "the volume has been turned up"....and this morning I woke and saw more of
myself, which isn,t the most flattering. The "know-it-all"..."superiority built upon inferiority"....
so I guess the "silence..built from detachment"....is the path beckoning.....
Thanks for your wisdom.....

Hi Robert - i just stumbled across your website a few days ago. Im trying my best to make sense out of what you write, It goes a little over my head. But the point is I'm trying to learn. I would like to know how this solar eclipse is effecting me? I've read your articles on it, and I had been anitcipating it coming. For some reason, I feel like I'm going a little crazy trying to make sense of it all. However, I have realized what I want to do with my life over the past month! I also do feel closer to god and a spiritual awakening. The problem is I began a relationship over the last lunar eclipse this past Aug 08. The relationship ended suddenly in December, Im still trying to come to grips with it. Over this past week or so, its really been driving me crazy, I know I need to let go and let god. But it so hard to do! I feel like im going insane. My birthday is Aug. 7, 1981, 5:30 p.m. in Missouri. Could you possibly tell me whats going on with myself???

Hi SB - You're most welcome.
Hi Svetlana - Thanks for checking in. Well, we discussed some past translations, and I know that it's probably not the easiest material to translate, since what we discuss here is fairly high level critical thinking material. Some very abstract, some very symbolic, either of which would be difficult, and then we add the layers of philosophy and spirituality and put a cherry on top!;-) Believe me, people with a mastery of the English language AND a spiritual background have told me that I speak an entirely different form of "English" than most! The "eggshell" was the original symbol a Marc Jones recorded it. Perhaps the eggshell is what we perceive after whatever emerges from the Auric Egg.
Hi alesandra - They may or may not actually have that power, but it will seem as though you are having to deal with others' agendas rather than they dealing with yours. And you're most welcome. Glad to help make things clearer. Prego!
Hi Rosi - I believe you're about to withdraw from interpretations you project on to your world, and begin to plan anew now that you know what to expect from the people in your environment. Saturn on your Sun is bringing you fundamental realities and the results of long term efforts. Pluto square your Mercury indicates you need to maintain your inner equilibrium around what is possible and not lose your balance through others' negative conceptions. Jupiter can provide protection and openings this year, but you're still dealing with limitations and the need for patience and maturity as long as Saturn is near your Sun.
Sorry your life has been "upside down," but from the way you describe it, your response has not helped you navigate the dishonest ones you're dealing with. Maybe one or more were/are "on a power trip," and you were justified in challenging authority, but we must always evaluate whether the end results will actually be the ones we want, since Saturn also teaches us we have absolutely zero control over other peoples' responses, for good or ill. It sounds like you were trying to "push the river," and now are not happy that the river refused to be moved. It's never good to challenge the head of a program even when you're right, since they enforce what rules they want. Threatening injunctions and discrimination suits usually indicate it's time to withdraw, since those sorts of things often lead others to a defensive hostility. So either you decide to finish the best you're able, or you'll have to withdraw. In either situation, if you have a legal case it'll be a big mess with lots of bad feelings. But you better have proof, which is more than just assertions. I believe you need to organize your priorities and get realistic about your goals and your ability to continue in this very hostile environment. This has not destroyed you - that is an unfortunate interpretation of preventable things and cannot help you move forward. It sounds like this is truly irrational, but originated far earlier than this eclipse.
Hi Vera - I am so sorry that you lost your little friend. When a death of a loved one happens, it often does bring us deep stuff that requires antidoting if we're to recover our zest for living. For all of us, some days are worse than others, for all kinds of biochemical and environmental reasons. Glad you got a miracle. And again, my sincere condolences on the loss of your little friend.
Hi Pamela - You're most welcome. Glad it's helpful.
Hi WHR - Old patterns die hard. It's our job to keep showing them the door. And of course, since all forms pass away, yes, detachment helps us watch the soft parade inside the gold mine without getting bent by the changing images.
Hi Megelis - Welcome to the cantina. I write for professionals, amateurs, and lay people, so some of what I write won't be clear for some people. Just grab the essence, since I always explain what the jargon means. The eclipse will affect us 10,000 ways, so it's impossible for me to be specific in a comment stream. Glad you're focused on spiritual awakening, since over time and experience that makes many things clear that once were not. You're not going "insane." Not a helpful thought form. You're going through your Saturn return, so you may want to read that article in the archives. And everything is bunching around your Ascendant and in your first house, showing it's a new era. You just have to navigate Neptune's fogs, and Jupiter's expansion, as you move into a new life era. 27 is a peak year, preparing us for an entirely new life that begins at 28.

...the elevator I have been taking to the ground floor, has finally stopped..and the scene before me
is horrible. Years and years of unexpressed rage/anger that hid an even more grisly sight of low-self
esteem/self-worth issues. For the last 3 days I have been expressing that rage, howling, pounding
pillows/crying...and Im feeling better...I now understand all the dreams of over-flowing toilets.
Now the integration of owning how I have not loved myself..(I told you my Mother died of an auto-immune
disease Scleroderma, and I had a dream ref our "connection"...and I have Pisces on the 6th, and in transits
this year, Neptune in the 12th...diseases that are difficult to diagnose)....my expierences my whole life,
of low-paying jobs/bad-abusive physical only relationships/the inability to stay anywhere very long/the fear
of getting close, or allowing love...( I wasn,t loved, how could I give or recieve somthing, I never was given,
or felt?)
But I also see that the "seeds" of newness have begun...as the old is leaving....
over the holidays I stood up and confronted
many I have been afraid too in the past...as a result those people are gone (family sisters, and
I see the dynamics, and it makes me sick).
The "Universe has helped much along the way"....a couple of weeks ago I recieved an email from
The Daily OM, with a free book download...by Scott Blum called "Summers Path"...he is a writer
along the lines of Paulo Cohelo...a story with spiritual insight..which helped me to see much....
it is still free to all who wish to download.
Thanks for the space to share, and process a little more....
much love to all...:-)

Robert - thank you for answering my post. I am still trying to figure out Neptunes fog and Jupiters expansion.. :) I read up on my saturn return, and found out that it is in my 7th house in Libra... I have read several things that say there are complications when your saturn in libra is in your 7th house and can indicate problems in personal relationships. Tell me is this true? What is your opinion on this?
Posted by: megelis | January 31, 2009 at 06:34 PM
Robert - So sorry - I looked at my chart wrong saturn is in my 10th house, not 7th. It is also conjucts with Jupiter. Hopefully these are good things :) I like how you wrote about at 28 begins an entirely new life. That sounds optimistic, is this pertaining to society as a whole that goes through saturn return in their late 20's, or me specifically beginning anew at 28? Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge with the rest of us.

Hi WHR - Breakdown, breakthrough, breakout! Sounds like you're definitely in motion!
Hi Megelis - Saturn return in the 10th shows you're resetting your sense of direction and how you want to display your authority based in your experience to your world. Everyone goes through the Saturn return between 27-30. And each begins anew at 28, as it begins a new 7 year cycle.

Robert,
I guess i looked at last year and today I am feeling the sense of loss greatly.
Posted by: Victoria | February 21, 2010 at 07:33 AM
Hi Victoria - Often "echoes of memories of perceptions" unexpectedly come up, and the timing and triggers of these are shown by Astrology. These are times when we learn how to manage our feelings. Your sense of loss deals with an experience of finality. Knowing your particular circumstances, it's more than just a passing mood. This involves a true deep and timeless change of heart, knowing the past is done forever and there's nothing to do but bless your own passage. Any sense of emptiness will attract the next potential. We must grieve endings so that we can move cleanly into our next life chapter unencumbered by the ghosts and unresolved feelings to whatever degree is possible. That's why detachment is key to many things, as well as knowing that as long as we are ready to grow in different ways, there is a new potential waiting to be revealed. You're not alone in what you're experiencing, since the square plus Yods are bringing heavy realizations to all. This is grist for an article. Email me if you need to.

Hi Robert, I really like your advice to Victoria, it is very helpful to get a grip on oneself. I get that malaise "echoes of memories of perceptions" a lot, especially when the anniversary of a loss comes around, which it just did last week (my mother). Thanks for your enduring sympathy and wisdom. :)
