Yesterday, I gave you some ideas about Soul groups, and whether an abusive family member could be a part of that group. Today we'll continue to explore how much choice beings have in who they are with, what we do and do not have to accept, and how to break the link between pain and suffering.
I was asked recently about someone who suffered abuse by a family member when younger, and how an abusive person could be part of our Soul group. Do we "invite" abuse from family members to learn spiritual lessons? Is our karma to suffer more abuse in future lifetimes? Is tolerating willful, ignorant and destructive behavior necessary to find forgiveness? Since many grapple with these problematic questions, I thought I should offer a few ideas on these and other related subjects.
