There's a LOT of intense aspects going down the next few days that will shake a lot of things up all over! Taurus, Gemini, Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius, Aquarius, and Pisces people (and planets) are shifting gears at a turning point in a big way, and we all are going to experience heavy changes due to Uranus going stationary retrograde, marking a "sea change" across the visible and invisible realms.
We have an incredible number of major aspects made on July 1-2 involving the rulers of the above signs, as well as planets occupying those signs. The day begins with Uranus going retrograde at 27 Pisces, a degree that brings us to a threshold of radical future developments. All the outer planets' stationary degrees show major changes to follow, and this is no exception! As all three outermost "invisible" planets are now RX, it's review and reflection time, and great for figuring out elements of how we may better embrace our Divine function in our world.
Uranus now offers us a long term "culmination as the threshold of new achievement" where we may reap the rewards of our long term creativity up to now. During the next long wave Uranian phase of evolution, we can find a natural productive creativity mirroring Nature Herself, and that whatever we need to be of greater service will be ours. This is a degree of "Benediction," where we are guaranteed a "self-consummation which is successful beyond any possibility of measure."
According to Rudhyar, we can now individualize through "the power of creative visualization by which great Dreamers transcend outer reality" that can lead us to a "complete dominance of circumstances." We can learn about this through the house that transiting Uranus occupies in our charts, and can come to understand and stabilize these energies each time something trines Uranus, and release the potential when planets square it. These themes will be highly activated for many months to come, and especially potent in 2010 and 2011.
This will be particularly intense during these weeks, given the number of squares made by the inner planets to Uranus on this degree. We explored how these have worked, and will be working, in the articles Gemini T-Squares to Saturn Opposition Uranus in June, July, August 2009 - Pt.1 - The Sun as well as Gemini T-Squares to Saturn Opposition Uranus in June, July, August 2009 - Pt.2 - Mercury, Venus, and Mars, so check them out, since they go into detail about what's happening. Part 1 specifically goes into some age groups that are specifically affected.
Mercury will exactly square Uranus on July 1-2, completing its part of the off-set T-square. It began by squaring Saturn a few days ago, setting the stage for what's coming when Venus makes its square in a few weeks. This is giving us information directly related to the challenges and lessons life presented at the Solar squares 2-4 weeks ago.
The other aspects coming down on July 1-2 after the Uranus station are Venus square Chiron, Neptune, and Jupiter, releasing the power of the Aquarius stellium. I extensively explored the implications of that planetary lineup in the two articles linked to Jupiter, Chiron, and Neptune in Aquarius Affecting All Signs in 2009 so check them out to see what's up for the rest of this year. Venus also sextiles Uranus, thus allowing productive Venus-Uranus energies to be released through the Aquarian stellium.
July 1-2 also sees Mercury trine the Aquarius planets and square Uranus. So Mercury is favorable to the Aquarius lineup, releasing through its contact with Uranus, while Venus builds through Uranus and releases through its contact with Jupiter, Neptune, and Chiron. These types of multiple contacts serve to build and release simultaneously, transforming all planets involved into engines generating major movement in the life areas these contacts occur.
Overall, many social interactions will turn major corners due to the Venus squares. This requires we stay focused on the long range rewards, put our best self forward, and practice sticktoitiveness even as we see how our particular circumstances and challenges relate to the larger picture going on globally. This will help us learn cooperation as well as give insight into others' motives or folly.
Mercury will offer means of understanding the larger Aquarius pulses, and bring forms of mental tension and/or striving for that which is in sight, but not yet substantiated. Given where Mercury, Venus, Uranus, and the Aquarius stellium occupy, this will bring many things into focus helping needed changes wherever we have planets in the last 5 degrees of any given sign.
With late Aquarius, late Pisces, late Taurus, and late Gemini active, you can bet that every single planet in your chart that is in the final degrees of any sign will come to some understanding, harmony, friction, release, or awareness. Just in case you're wondering why so many things and people are under pressure of radical transformation at this intersection of Fate Street and Free Will Street at a corner of Eternity Boulevard.

Forced thru the aegis of this to confront my fixation on the past (unaspected MO), see my installation there for truth as the sea drag I'd been using to avoid having to toughen up and face the slings and arrows of life in the game. Skidding out onto the thin ice of venture and risk and owning myself was something I only ever did before conditionally and from behind the curtain. These days the choice became so stark (that gorg but suffer-no-fools AQ stellium in trine to my natal BML in 11H apex VE/JU/UR/CH as PL squares the opposition) it became a matter of survival to take a couple kicks in the ass and welcome the odd scrape on the knees and chin for the sake of being launched into a running start and this uncontrollable, unknown future. Luckily SA is crossing my 2H MO/PL, lending the opportunity to develop grit and inner structure and foundational toolsmithing.
Good lord..... be careful what you wish for.
Much thanks for your thoughtful astro scholarship on open hand....

Well...at least I have some insight into why I am feeling so "jittery"....I seem to be "locked and loaded" with Uranus @ 26 Virgo (4th), Sun 27 Libra (4th), Neptune 23 Scorpio (5th), Mercury 28 Sag (6th) & Moon 26 Taurus (11th)...I have my seat belt on and am using my "yoga" breathing! :)
Thanks as always!

The Uranus stationing is happening exactly opposite my natal Pluto -- Uranus in my third house and Pluto in my ninth. Also, Pluto is currently smack-dab over my ascendant. Jupiter and Neptune and sitting right on top of my natal mars in my second house. Thoughts? My mother is terminally ill/near dying, I'm "enjoying" greater financial success than I've had in a long, long time, and I'm facing a "health crisis" having to do with my spinal cord/bone spurs (electric - ruled by Uranus?). It's a crazy time. Enjoyed your article - wish I understood how Uranus and Pluto interact better.

Hi, Robert. Are we talking transits here? "With late Aquarius, late Pisces, late Taurus, and late Gemini active, you can bet that every single planet in your chart that is in the final degrees of any sign will come to some understanding, harmony, friction, release, or awareness." I am confused. Duh. Thanks.

Hallaljua!!!
Breaking through old barriers....that cluster in Aquarius is sitting conjunct my chiron in
the 5th, setting off a grand square, of my Sun 2nd/Moon 8th/Uranus 10th/Chiron 5th in fixed signs
...Im approaching the chiron return....I have noticed in the last couple of weeks an
ability to "speak" that has been a block in the past. And that when I do, I feel expanded.
I have been doing it, and this morning it just came to the "surface" with clarity, that I
grew up in an environment of "yelling"....and I unconciously "zipped it"...and would hold-in
my feelings. Was never able to express my feelings calmly, softly, or respond and hold my own
power, when someone yelled, or threatened. I have been surprized by my responses lately, and see
that the work and relationship issues of late are connected and Im overcoming them, expressing myself
calmly and directly, and others are treating me differently than before.
Turning a corner?....I feel like I was driving backwards full-speed, slammed on the brakes, spun
the wheel and did a 180, and Im now driving forward at top-speed moving forward, gaining traction....Yee-Haa!!!

Hi Robert,
Another BRILLIANT article!!!!! Once again, I'm so grateful to you for your guidance. I feel as though I've been hit by lightning and scrub'd inside and out with a wire brush. Standing here stunned and already my past belongs to a stranger! I can't control the underlying current of nervousness I always feel when more growth is coming. But it is ALWAYS for the better. Wow, what a ride.
Liberation thru forward movement on the electrifying wild roller coaster of life!!!!!!!

I believe Mercury and Venus will also soon be square and sextile the March 2007 Solar Eclipse degree at 29 Pisces, right? With the upcoming Eclipse action throughout July and into August (so looking forward to those articles, Robert) as well as Tr Saturn moving to close off with his visit in October to 28-29 Virgo that March 2007 eclipse, is it correct to say Mercury and Venus' aspects to this 2007 eclipse will help resolve or move forward events started at the time of that eclipse as well as releasing the energies you mentioned above?
Kudos for another great article, Robert.

It seems like you left out cancers and capricorns. they wont be effected by these transits?
Or only if they are in late degrees?
I have my birthday on the solar eclipse 7/22/75 6:05pm tucson(cancer/cap/cap)
Is this a a good sign to have a bday on an eclipse, if you are looking for big change?

Hi Robert,
Thanks for sharing your insightful wisdom. You're the astrologer's astrologer and do we ever need you at this powerful time of evolution. Me, I'm also an astrologer with Sun at 26/14 Aquarius & Mercury 15/49 AQ in the 3rd. Uranus at 9/06 Gemini in 7th. Jupiter/chiron/neptune are conjunct and native in the 10th. I'm surfing the biggest cosmic wave of my lives. How about you? Would share a bit of your chart. Sun sign?, Mercury/Uranus? (of course). I would like to know the messenger better. It will help in the assimilation of his insights.
Thanks again for sharing,
your friend, Bruce Lee

Hi Robert,
Uranus is transiting my 5th house and goes retrograde when it is conj. my natal moon. It will also then be square my natal Uranus in Gemini. Should I hide under the bed for the duration?

Uranus in third is helping with opening up more in writing matters, as well as internet interactivity (blogs, twitter, etc)? By the way, do you twit, Robert?
Interesting but strange time, increadible to be alive at this juncture of Humanity's History!

Hi Shanita - The Uranus square is long term, challenging you to find ways to advance your individuality and gifts within the larger environment. The square from Pisces to Gemini challenges you to bring forth positive Virgo and Sag energies. Your Gemini energies are being awakened!
Hi MB - Everyone is getting in shape one way and another during this year of the Earth Ox. Plus the long range Saturn opposition Uranus has us all figuring out what to keep, what to throw, and what simply to walk away from. The past and its memories are thieves distracting from what can or cannot be done in the present, and regrets are only good for showing us where we don't need to go. The uncontrollable unknowns are in the realm of The Grand Irrationality, so enjoy exploring the craziness we're all living within. Saturn is deepening your sensitivity and showing you what you really care about even as it removes all old habits you no longer need.
Hi S - Things have been and will continue to be somewhat edgy for the foreseeable future. Saturn's showing you ways to organize your uniqueness and/or genius, even as the Aquarius stellium is showing you opportunities of new self expression and connecting with the larger collective consciousness that could provide you with wealth. Find ways to integrate your breadth of interests with your imagination in practical focus, go for larger things and expressions, and find your mission. Uranus is making a Mystic Rectangle in your chart, offering your productive opportunities and understandings amidst the oppositions and realizations. You could make headway even in a head wind right now. And it's releasing into late Gemini, so keep finding ways to exteriorize your realizations and don't let nerves drive your boat too long too far too fast. Relax as you learn to be a good juggler.
Hi Laurel - See everything in terms of the motives of each as you purify everything in your self image that is less than you could be. The larger Aquarius stellium is helping your Mars transform into something much more impersonal and altruistic. Your mother's situation can be seen in your Moon. My sincere condolences on your mother's impending transition, but it's understandable, given that I've lost 4 elders in June alone. Bless them on their way, since they don't have to go through what the rest of us will over the next 2000 days. Health issues are shown by 1st and 6th house aspects and other things to their rulers. Spine is Saturn.
Hi AnneTexas - Yes, these are transit to transit aspects, though they will affect planets we have in their zones. Anything you have late in a sign is being impacted by the transits right now.
Hi WHR - Glad this breakthrough is something you can ride into a higher way of doing your Being. Should be new creativity, new spontaneity, new buy-in to life itself. Grand Cross can break up a lot of old stuff and generate new directional momentum. I'd say you're truly healing into your Higher Self, and the ride isn't over by a long shot, though you should be living a new Self by next February.
Hi Wendy - Thanks for your kind words. Good to scrub the mind from time to time.... When you can see your past as that which another experienced, you're truly on your way to being in the NOW. Tension is always present in any true growth potential. Just be a good surfer as you ride the wave.
Hi duse - Aspects to old eclipses do release certain effects, or block others. The trick is in other aspects intervening between what's happening now and what happened then, since they condition how this will manifest in the present. Other than that, this is a fairly obscure element of analysis that probably should not be elaborated on. Saturn will indeed crystalize much over the next year related to the past eclipses that put a focus on 30 Virgo and Pisces.
Hi Molly - That's because I'm mentioning the rulers of certain signs occupying certain signs. Of course all signs will be affected based in what houses these aspects fall, but that's beyond the scope of a comment stream, or even an article. And of course, late degrees of all signs are affected. As for the eclipse, an old light will be shut down so that new lights can develop. Definitely big changes will occur, though Solar Eclipses last years, so they are truly long term changes.
Hi Bruce - You're most welcome. Glad I can share useful insights with the world. Opportunity is all around you to embrace a larger timeless work. With the larger forces of the Grand Irrationality at work constantly, now that it includes Jupiter and Chiron we're all surfing a giant wave of healing into a larger vision, if we're willing to commit to something we hold venerable and practice a reasonable dispassion toward the many irrational shifts and sometimes distractions accompanying the hard edges of the configuration. I've offered my birth data on several occasions on this site. April 1, 1951, 1:13:40 pm, Upland (Chester) PA. It's a chart that truly illustrates that what doesn't kill a being makes them stronger, that no amount of "afflictions" can keep the Spirit from expression, and that oppositions can be a blessing leading to Self-realization.
Hi Sue - No. This is a long term influence challenging you to bring your genius to the fore. Revolutionize your habits and ways of caring for whatever, and embrace the uniqueness of your way of experiencing everyday life and interactions.
Hi Robyn - Well, please don't affirm what you don't need to. This may be the final lesson in mindfulness in this area, so detach and say goodbye to whatever it was that set this up to begin with. You're learning the hard way that the bankers are very much NOT our friends. Just resolve you've learned it once and for all, and go your way to increased abundance by remembering so that you're not getting nicked by parasites in suits.
Hi Isabel - No, I do not twit. I have enough of a hard time keeping up with my emails, this site, and the occasional visit to my facebook page. Very definitely an exciting time to connect with people almost instantaneously!

Hi AnneTexas - Yes, well, spraining my ankle put the kibosh on my celebrating. But it is forcing me to slow down and catch up on my correspondence.
Hi WarriorLady - That movie looks like it's valuable and important, but could also be absurdly depressing given the stranglehold the banks have on the entire world. Not sure how we can stop them, since the Supremes allowed corporations the same rights as individuals. No individual can fight a corporation unless they are one (like Ted Turner.) How many of us could go that kind of distance? Anyway, thanks for the heads up.
Posted by: Robert | July 05, 2009 at 10:41 AM
It made me angry, of course. But it also made me laugh and cry. It's a good film all around.
I dunno. I believe that truth can make us angry but it also sets us free. "Knowing is half the battle" ;). And maybe educating the young'uns about such things will lead them to make sound decisions regarding money/credit when they get older. These corporations are reaching out to 17-year-olds who seem to operate on the notion that they're invincible.
Thanks for letting me put this out there.
