I thought it might be good to pull some of the various influences together that have been happening. We've been through a swirl of conflicting aspects recently as we've been living in the shadow of the longest Solar Eclipse for centuries to come.
I haven't composed much on his chart lately, so I figured I should offer you some insights into this remarkable man, what's going on in his chart, and what we can expect in the near future.
Some of you no doubt have been wondering why I haven't been commenting. Simply put, life has demanded my energies be put to other things the past few weeks.
Though relatively few know of this brilliant talent, and even fewer know his birthday, today we celebrate the great folk singer-songwriter John Gorka. If you haven't heard him sing, you're in for a major treat!
The July 2009 Total Solar Eclipse at 30 Cancer indicates all signs will be profoundly affected in very significant ways for the next 3+ years. This longest eclipse for centuries triggers "final forks in the road of destiny" in many areas of our charts. That said, productivity and very favorable interactions are promised. For those who seek, some will find wisdom while others will find faith.
July marks the true entry into Summer, where a maximum Solar force assists us to do our Being with all the power and determination we can gather. We are now in a month of fundamental reorientations to be consolidated as a feeling-experience we will release as new creative impulses when the Sun enters Leo.
This Solar Eclipse will have a huge impact on everyone. All eclipses shut something down, taking away elements of our lives no longer true for us. Cancer is the sign of home, family, and intimate feelings. It is how Capricorn, the sign of personal authority, externalizes. So a form of our personal past or how we define our needs will end, with the void sure to attract new forms of expressing this energy.
(Orig. posted July 8, but I'm boosting this again since we're in the middle of it!) We're in an interesting zone right now. We begin with Venus just departing the Gemini zone of the Grand Irrationality biseptile Saturn as Mars enters it, and there are many favorable aspects showing us how to get our lives and personalities working more smoothly. Some things will be very clear by the last week of this month.
Since we have a very powerful Solar Eclipse in Cancer on July 21-22, today we take a look at Solar and Lunar Eclipses so we can understand them better. Why are Eclipses so powerful, and what can we do to make the best of them?
In June, July, and August the Grand Irrationality is triggered quite a few times by the inner planets. Expect things to get very heavy in the way of choices and changes due to the activity arising in the Capricorn, Aquarius, Gemini, Cancer, and Virgo zones with Aries and Scorpio resonant areas.
Neptune and Pluto are still in septile, anchoring what I have termed The Grand Irrationality. This long wave global activating influence began in the mid-1990s and will manifest for years to come. It explains why things are constantly weird, why people can be obsessive-compulsive and make strange choices, and why irrational behaviors that make little sense pervade our world. It's why we are all under frequent pressure to make life-altering choices and changes as we stand at forks in the road of Destiny.
