Hi all - Over the years I've gotten many requests for articles on different subjects. Not being able to keep track of all such requests, I figured this post would be a good place for readers to suggest topics they want to learn about.
Today is the last part of what the June 2010 Capricorn-Cancer Lunar Eclipse holds for our world. Overall the effect would seem to show stabilization and productivity in the Earth and Water sign areas and challenge in the early Cardinal areas of our charts.
In part 1 we explored some basics of the coming Lunar Eclipse. So what else can we expect from this Summer's Full Moon Eclipse? Look for new freedom by turning corners into identifying with a larger life that shows as a new balance, perspective, or ideal. Of course, there's more!
This Full Moon Lunar Eclipse occurs at 5 degrees Cancer-Capricorn, promising several months of karmic adjustments, curbed recklessness, and decisions that will reorient us so we can mobilize ourselves and assert what we need to claim our personal authority. A lot will crash or change course with new structures showing up in August.
I'll compose an article explaining the Lunar Eclipse at 5 degrees of Cancer-Capricorn very soon. At this point I'll remind you that no eclipse of itself is "bad," nor do we have anything to fear.
It seems that the Sun is unusually calm these days. That's not necessarily a good thing, since the last time it was this calm World War I broke out soon thereafter. If you want to read some fascinating speculation about the Sun, Sunspots, and the like, let's take a short trip down Science Lane just off of Fate Street.
We're now in the heart of the Cardinal T-square made by Jupiter conjunct Uranus at the first and second degrees of Aries, Pluto at 5 Capricorn, and the Sun moving through the squares and opposition from early Cancer. This will be followed by Mercury moving from late Gemini into early Cancer in the next few days.
Ralph Waldo Emerson was one of the earliest and greatest of American Sages, a philosopher who created the Transcendentalist movement which gave young America intellectual and metaphysical credibility and direction. The practical spirituality that Emerson and others wrote about and lived in the early 19th century offered seed ideas that prepared America for the Ageless Wisdom introduced by H.P. Blavatsky a few decades later.
The Summer Solstice occurs June 21, 4:30 am PDT, 12:30 pm Greenwich. It's the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, said to be the time at which "free will" acts more powerfully than any other time. It is a point of decision, and kicks off Summer, the season of work, play, productivity, and lots of sunshine for those of us up north. If you're "down under," remember to have a little compassion for us up here when December 21, the Winter Solstice, rolls around and we're freezing while you're enjoying the beach! What follows explores elements we all can expect to experience over the next 3 months, regardless of where we live.
Hi all - I'm finally back for a while. Instead of posting an article today, I decided to answer as many of your comments as I could, so take a look. I don't get to do that very often, so I composed some thoughtful responses to a wide variety of questions. See you back here tomorrow!
