We now enter one of the more important time spans in recent memory. A lot of major shifts will occur over the next few days, and the choices we make determine things for a long time to come.
I offered you a heads up about this time in two recent Spiritual Astrology articles. You can find links to them at the bottom of this post. Venus and Mars are now very close together in the Scorpio zone of the Grand Irrationality. Mars will stay heavily active for about a week as it catches up to Venus, making a conjunction at 13 Scorpio that will keep the Scorpio zone of the Grand Irrationality active through June 2011.
This conjunction now activates a new cyclic dance between Venus and Mars. You will recall they last conjuncted at the end of the last Venus RX at 30 Pisces, a very important degree. Links to the original articles explaining this at the bottom of this one. Now they conjunct anew at 13 Scorpio, marking the new cycle that will last until June 2011 when they next conjunct at 10 Taurus.
This is made more "up close and personal" since Venus goes stationary retrograde at 14 Scorpio, making that degree also highly active in the Grand Irrationality for many months to come. It also did this the last time it went stationary retrograde in the Aries zone back in March 2009. I'll explain more in a coming Venus retrograde article.
Right now Venus is septile Pluto and biseptile Neptune. Mars is septile Pluto but still approaching the biseptile to Neptune. Still, Venus and Mars together are creating a "field of decision," and because they're in Scorpio these will involve deep feelings, elimination of something stagnant or obsolete, and the need to keep it as light and honorable as possible. This is a time to be a Phoenix Firebird or Eagle rather than a Snake or a Scorpion.
It's definitely a purifying time in how we use or view our Venus and Mars energies. As I said yesterday, this is a major turning point for those with planets around 12-15 Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius. Be thoughtful about what needs eliminating or regenerating, and try not to get too engulfed in passions or the general intensity.
Due to the ongoing constant intensity of this hard-edged and/or compulsive/non-rational energy field, expect to feel more deeply about things, perhaps with an urgency to go deeper into some kind of experience. This may bring memories of past connections, past magnetism, or a desire to regenerate what was once lost. As Venus slows and turns back and inward, we can work with old feelings we internalized that may need eliminating or regenerating. Again, I'll write more about that soon.
During September and October 2010 the hot zones of The Grand Irrationality are approximately 2-6 Capricorn, 24-28 Aquarius, 15-19 Aries, 6-10 Gemini, 28 Cancer to 2 Leo, 19-23 Virgo, and 10-14 Scorpio depending on what degrees Neptune and Pluto occupy plus the orb of influence.
While the Grand Irrationality is pumped up over the next week, try to be objective and precise in how you attach to certain feelings. The push-pull factor is certainly elevated. Based in what's presently in the news at present around the world, it seems that many places are at a flash point with very entrenched forces that probably cannot be pleased no matter what is or is not done or said. The deep discontent with what is and is not working is very much in evidence.
Things will be triggered individually and collectively whenever the Moon or Ascendant moves through one of the 7 zones of the Grand Irrationality. I gave you all the Lunar triggers for September and October in the Spiritual Astrology articles below, along with why certain zones, like when the Moon is in Virgo, are going to be more important than others.
Right now during the time Venus and Mars are activating the Scorpio zone, the Moon added at 4th point when it went through the Gemini zone on September 28-29. It will again activate a 4th point when it moves through the late Cancer-early Leo zone on October 2, and again when it's in the Virgo zone on October 5-6.
So over the next week, take a few deep breaths, try to find productive ways to use the concentrated and very intense energies, and don't go over the edge when it would be easier to back away from it. It may be a time to grieve what's been lost to release some of the pressure that's built up over the past few weeks, or meditate on it from a view of radical detachment and dispassion. At best, it's time to regenerate, and be willing to move and groove!
On the purest levels, energies are gathering strength and people are being drawn together, so remember who your allies are and bring what offerings you can to the communion. This time is about finding and recognizing our inner affinity with those people we should be with and those activities we're supposed to be doing.
Since these are truly revolutionary times anyway, we just need to stay at the center of gravity as we take whatever actions we need to in order to find a vehicle to make the transition. Renounce/eliminate whatever you must, and be cheerful and undaunted as you move through the symbolic flood. We are truly at the intersection of Fate Street and Free Will Street at a corner on Eternity Boulevard.
