During late October every year, the Sun in Scorpio blesses us with a time to honor our Eternal connection with those who have died before us. This period, known many places as "Dia de los Muertos," or "Day of the Dead," is dedicated to celebrating life and "all our relations."
Today is the birthday of one of the greatest guitar heroes ever to pick a note, the legendary Peter Green. This guitar genius founded Fleetwood Mac in 1967 and wrote some of the most haunting songs ever recorded, including "The Supernatural," "Black Magic Woman," "Oh Well," and the amazing "Green Manalishi." Enjoy these great videos celebrating the birthday of this master of electric blues.
In November and December 2010 the Grand Irrationality is triggered quite a few times by the inner planets. Expect things to get very heavy in the way of choices and changes involving Capricorn, Aquarius, and Scorpio sectors in our maps triggering shifts in Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio resonant areas.
Neptune and Pluto are still in septile, anchoring what I have termed The Grand Irrationality. Knowing what this configuration is about can help to explain why weirdness is in the air, why people can be obsessive-compulsive and make strange choices, and why irrational behaviors that make little sense pervade our world. This is a time of non-stop pressure to make life-altering choices and changes as we stand at forks in the road of Destiny.
I'll be on the National Mall in DC on Oct 30 for the rally. Though there will be 100,000+ of us, I have silver blond hair and will be dressed in a long sleeve maroon shirt with the Tibetan Eternal Knot on the front with a gray vest next to a tall friend. Then I'll be in Sag Harbor, Long Island, November 4-8 doing personal sessions and a talk at Canio's Bookstore, 6 pm Fri Nov 5. The title is "The Importance of Laughter & Light in the Coming Seasons" (or something like that!) See you there or somewhere!
As you all know, everyone in the world is experiencing what I've termed "The Grand Irrationality." Today's article offers some things to keep in mind that may help you navigate these weird, obsessive-compulsive, non-rational times.
In Part 1 we explored some ideas about Soul groups, and whether an abusive family member could be a part of that group. Today we'll continue to probe the subject of just how much choice we have regarding who we are with, what we do and do not have to accept, and how to break the link between pain and suffering.
A while back I was asked whether the members of our family or origin are always part of our "Soul Group," and how to forgive those family members who abused us when we were young. Do we actually invite the abuse through "karmic choice?"
This Full Moon falls at 30 degrees Aries-Libra, giving us a superior understanding and ability to focus our power through natural limitations that can show us our playground. This period will help us focus on-going deeper insights into Truth revealing practical seed forms that begin now. These will be stabilizing factors in our lives by May-June 2011.
I thought this might be a good time to revisit the concept of the Void of Course Moon, since some astrologers will assert the coming Full Moon is void of course since it falls in the last degree of Aries. But is it?
I'm going to the National Mall for the Rally to Restore Sanity and the March To Keep Fear Alive on October 30, en route to the Hamptons to do a talk, some chart sessions, and reconnect with old friends. At the rally I'll be dressed in a long sleeve maroon shirt with the Tibetan Eternal Knot on the front, with a grey vest and silver blond hair. Look for the tall friend I'll be with. Aum Mani Padme Hum.....
When much younger, I found an obscure Astrological text stating the last decan of Libra to be the "Span of Expiation." Also, some of the ancients thought the last half of Libra and first half of Scorpio to be a place where major events occurred, often not pleasant.
