This Full Moon falls at 30 degrees Taurus-Scorpio, showing ways to let go within protective conditions helping us reorient our view of the life around us and our connection to it. This period will move us away from the known and familiar as we sense new ways of expressing our spiritual gifts. The next 2 weeks shows seeds of the first half of 2011.
This stabilizing and expanding Full Moon falls on 21 November at 9:27 am PST, 12:27 pm EST, and 5:27 pm Greenwich (November 22 in Thailand and points east). The Lunation finds 7 Capricorn rising in Santa Monica, 21 Sagittarius rising in Vancouver, 21 Aquarius in Washington DC, 23 Aquarius in Miami, 9 Aries in Rio, 26 Gemini in London, 2 Cancer in Amsterdam, 9 Cancer in Berlin, 11 Gemini in Johannesburg, 26 Cancer in Tallinn, 9 Cancer in Sofia, 12 Cancer in Istanbul, and 8 Cancer in Cairo.
Moving into Asia and Oceana, we find the Ascendants to be 17 Leo in New Delhi, 10 Leo in Trivandrum, 4 Virgo in Bangkok, 18 Virgo in Hong Kong,11 Libra in Tokyo, 13 Virgo in Perth, 28 Libra in Melbourne, 5 Scorpio in Brisbane, 10 Sagittarius in Wellington, and 9 Sagittarius rising on Maui.
Because the New Moon preceding the Full Moon always represents the seed forms that are brought to surface at and after the Full Moon, please check out New Moon in Scorpio - What's Happening in November 2010 Impacts 2011. As we are still under the influence of the late June and mid-July Eclipses, you may also want to review the numerous articles in the archives concerning those long term influences.
This is the second Full Moon Sun that falls in the same sign as the previous New Moon, closing the old cycle of Full Moon Suns in different signs than the previous New Moon we experienced from July 2009 through September 2010. We'll have the current sequences of the New Moon Sun being in the same sign as the next Full Moon Sun through May 2012, after which it will again reverse function and the Full Moon Sun will be the same as the following New Moon Sun.
As I've explained in previous Full Moon articles,
... the Full Moon being in a subsequent sign than the previous New Moon indicates that what is released as realizations in the Full Moon period actually "prepare the ground" for the coming New Moon seed. Strange reversal of function, since you would think the New Moon provides the seed for the next Full Moon. But this set of Lunations works the opposite way....Another way to look at this is the Sun sign of the Full Moon is the same as and precedes the Sun sign of the next New Moon, reversing the usual way Lunations work. So the fulfillment of the Full Moon sets up the next "seed" to be revealed at the next New Moon....
So now the New Moon-Full Moon cycle is "back to normal," in the sense that now we have the illuminated form shown to us at the New Moon which is fulfilled by the light of the same sign at the subsequent Full Moon. The New Moons will all fall in the first half of their signs and the Full Moons will all fall in the last half of their signs from now through May 2012. Seeds shown in the first half, fulfillment in the second half makes some kind of sense.
This Full Moon falls at the last degree of Scorpio and Taurus. It is said that the last third (decan) of any sign deals with the individual, mental, and spiritual levels of life, and being the third decan of those signs, invokes a sub-influence of Cancer and Capricorn.
Since the Moon always focuses the light of the Sun in specific forms, the degree symbols for both are important. The Sun degree is the illumination or enlightenment of the Lunation, whereas the Moon shows us the potential forms that enlightenment will take.
The Solar degree symbol for the 30th degree of Scorpio is "The Halloween jester." Rudhyar says this is a degree of needing to let loose of "unsocial instincts" within safe social forms, and "planned inner release of pressure." We are told this degree concerns the "periodic outlets society furnishes within traditional limits to still-immature energies."
He goes on to say this is a degree fulfilling Scorpionic energies connected with a widening of experience and the instincts that cannot be focused within normal means. These need outlets that are safe for both individuals and society where we play by the "rules of the game." He states that this degree involves using the mind to manage unregenerate or "centrifugal" energies. It falls in the Span of Appreciation, Act of Group Integration, and Scene of Faith on the Individual-Mental level.
Dr. Jones says this is a degree of being refreshed by "a proper informality" in releasing "buoyant energies" as well as getting free from living ideals beyond our potential. Here "an overbroad humor" serves to encourage us to "attempt new and various modes of contact" with others to "achieve a more genuine spiritual sensitiveness." He offers the keyword SPONTANEOUSNESS, and states that when positive, the degree is "a gift for making the desires and ambitions of self not only of interest but of actual value to others."
So this is a degree of individual-mental appreciation and faith helping us refresh ourselves and release pent-up energies so that we can come to a fulfilled magnetism. Here we can release obsolete stuck feelings through humor, spontaneity, and spiritual sensitivity.
The Lunar degree symbol for the 30th degree of Taurus is "A peacock parading on an ancient lawn." Rudhyar states this is a degree of "personal magnificence or unconscious splendor," and "sure retreat for the solitary soul where it can reveal its inmost glory." This is where we can display our "plumage" on the "lawn of (our) old estate." (Contemplating what our "old estate" could symbolize will no doubt yield rich insights!)
He continues with this phase being where our "personal display of inherited gifts" shows our spiritual and/or material heritage. This is a degree of our flowering Self, where our inherited "divine gift of self-conscious intelligence" confirms our status in some way. He says this "indicates a consummation of individual efforts" directly arising from our biological and/or spiritual ancestry. It falls in the Span of Enjoyment, Act of Differentiation, and Scene of Confirmation on the Individual-Mental level.
Dr. Jones says this is a degree of dignifying our "superficial excellencies," and "the momentary elevation of the individual beyond (our) capacity or worth" as we exhibit various ideals. Here the display serves to encourage us to strive for outer things when we are "as yet unquickened to inner or eternal values." He offers the keyword ALOOFNESS and when positive it's said to be a degree of "a special flair for dramatizing the heritage of the race or for capitalizing on the lessons of history in some special fashion."
So this is a degree of displaying our inherited gifts, or being moved by some display to quicken so we can consummate a gift of our own. Here we can elevate and dramatize our ideal of our material and spiritual Self and display it to the world to quicken others, and enjoy what is confirmed that shows our lineage.
From these symbols it seems we can see the light of a fulfilled transformational magnetism that releases energies through spontaneity and humor expressing itself in forms that are elegant, rich, natural, dramatic, and confirm our worth. We can find illumination in knowing how informal behavior frees us from static roles to become more genuinely spiritual, and express this through a personal excellence that naturally arises from what we've inherited from our predecessors.
How we focus the next two weeks will show us what and how we need to purify our personalities as a result of the widening of our social experience. This is a good time for releasing old emotional pain by seeing the humor in things, and simplifying our pleasures. Here the light of our faith can be confirmed in what we are able to display that inspires others.
As this Lunation falls on the culminating degrees of Taurus and Scorpio, it shows the natural fulfillment of the archetypal roles the signs indicate. What is coming forth from this Full Moon will show us how our transformational process can be made more enjoyable and dramatic in simple ways.
It is interesting to note that technically the Moon is Void of Course. Does that mean nothing significant will come of this Full Moon? That would be a very narrow and probably inaccurate way of interpreting this supposedly VOC Moon, as well as the coming Full Moons for months to come.
As an aside, besides the objections I raised in my articles on the Void of Course Moon, historically the VOC Moon was used ONLY in Horary Astrology before the latter part of the 20th century. That would seemingly limit the validity in applying it in the other branches of Astrology, including any evaluation of a Lunation where the Moon falls in the final degree(s) of a sign.
This Lunation finds the Moon in the last degree of Taurus, making no forming aspects whatsoever, even including "out of sign" aspects. So the Moon is a "standalone" planet in this Lunation chart, and exalted by sign.
Though both the Sun and Moon have numerous separating aspects, these show past events. The only forming Solar aspect is a semisextile from Venus. This shows a mildly favorable tendency where we can let ourselves be led by balanced, rhythmic feelings into deeper relationships and enjoyable experiences.
Though the Sun and Moon do not make significant forming aspects, the other planets are a hotbed of activity! Among the most important aspects are Mercury septile Venus and square Jupiter, Venus still making a biquintile to Jupiter, Mars square Jupiter, and Jupiter now direct in motion again forming its powerful conjunction with Uranus.
Mercury septile Venus puts sectors ruled by these planets at a major fork in the road, where a larger reality is opening relative to the connectedness we feel as a result of Venus still occupying its stationary direct degree. This is extensively discussed in yesterday's article, along with the biquintile between Venus and Jupiter, so check it out if you want to know more about what Venus and Jupiter are showing us right now.
This septile creates hot zones of choice and change, where decisions will be made regarding Mercurial elements revealing emergent Venusian realizations. These will show up wherever we have late Libra and mid Sagittarius in our charts, and affect houses where we have Taurus, Gemini, Virgo, and Libra on the cusps.
Also, if we have planets or sensitive points in any of the following 7 zones, we will see "forks in the road of destiny" in those departments of our inner and outer lives. These zones are approximately 27-29 Libra, 18-20 Sagittarius, 10-12 Aquarius, 1-3 Aries, 23-25 Taurus, 14-16 Cancer, and 5-7 Virgo. The decisions we make during the next two weeks will play a big part in the very important developments of late January and early February 2011.
Mercury and Mars squaring Jupiter can release powerful opportunities moving us into a greater Truth, vision, quest, or adventure through achieving closure, compassion, or forgiveness in the life area (house) that Jupiter is currently transiting. Those with planets around 18-24 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces will be most affected by these squares, which challenge us to value what protects us as we reorient our view of our relatedness (or lack thereof) within a larger interactive field.
These squares require us to find situations where the special elements of our personality can be recognized, understood, and find cooperation for carrying out our aims. Do not get involved in disputes, distractions, or irrelevancies that don't concern you, and develop assurance by refusing all that is petty or petulant as you do your thing in grand style. Cultivate your ability to see things through others' eyes in order to learn how to persuade them to your conception of potentials.
Thanks to the recent Venus retrograde period we were able to look at the inward-turned Venus functions in our life, and go deeper in seeing the internalized frustration around old hurts, old values, old relationships, and old desires in terms of what must be purged from our subconsciousness. As a result of this we were able to come to a potent inventiveness regarding our needs, and focus our genius to navigate upheavals to achieve a successful linkage and integration between our Higher Self and what is natural for us and our circumstances.
There are many important separating aspects, showing things just past. These include the Moon and Sun square Neptune and sextile-trine Jupiter and Uranus. These indicate recent productivity and understanding for those with planets in the last decan of Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces, releasing these energies through Leo areas of our life.
We've all had to get clear about what roles we want to play, and come out of being timid and yielding our will too easily to others. This helped us achieve a linkage between our lower self and Higher Self, and showed us how to defend or administer our "mission" in the new day that's dawning.
We've adjusted, had to step back from glamor and reclaim our innocence, refined some instincts, seen appropriate standards we shared with others, been aroused to get beyond our comfort zones, seen a way to a form of transcendent security, and been shown our Path of Pilgrimage we share with others who strive to climb the same symbolic mountain. Expect further "expansions of genius," or an opening to a more characteristic uniqueness.
Venus rules the Moon in the Lunation, while Mars rules the Sun. These two are in a separating septile, showing we've all hit at least one major point of decision recently. This forms the backdrop to how the Lights operate.
Venus is on a degree of awakening to our connectedness with the life that's around us, Mars on a degree of protection and play as we contact life energies. Venus is in the individual-mental span of late Libra, Mars in the social-cultural span of mid-Sagittarius. This shows the Sun has a backdrop of something being transferred through activity while the Moon has a backdrop of something being repaired or reconstructed. We can expect more balance, humor, and optimism in all areas influenced by Venus and Mars in our chart.
Based in Jones' and Rudhyar's comments on the relevant symbols, it indicates the backdrop of the illumination will involve our being happy and friendly as we focus on our affairs, protected by our innocence as we explore our potentials, playing together as we courageously respond to opportunities to embrace our spiritual fellowship.
During this time the Light of greater relational magnetism and experience will be influenced by our appreciation of the safety of our circumstances as we reorient in some way. This can lead to insights that help us break free of an old limitation, using our originality to move into new frontiers of action and accomplishment.
The backdrop of the form-builder will be influenced by a balanced and elegant approach to relationships, helping us come out of the darkness of ego-isolation and any sense of loss we've experienced in recent months. During this time the emergent Forms of self expression will be based in our responsiveness to being courageous in coming out of darkness to light and opening to our greater destiny.
This Lunation is a Bucket pattern. That shows that our entire experience of the larger ongoing conditions will focus through the "nozzle" planet, which in this case is the Moon. Enjoy the fulfillment, enjoy the display, keep it simple and pleasurable, and again, contemplate what your "estate" might be. Wherever we have late Taurus will be the focus the next two weeks.
Since the occupied span leads with Saturn and ends with Jupiter and Uranus, approach experience with maturity and responsibility, as well as balance and charm, while closing it with a sense of what's passing, coupled with a compassionate view that is unique to you.
To sum up, this will help us break free of old emotional blockages and help confirm our natural worth. Though deep feelings will be present, so will inspired visions, ideas, and ways of acting. Major growth comes from embracing new experiences while staying aware of possible consequences.
This Lunation is regenerative, stabilizing, and should give us all a greater sense of enjoyment, play, creativity, and security. Adjust to the natural rhythm of emergent structures and roles, and use the vacation from the familiar to reorient to a path of greater fulfillment. Release what needs releasing, and go to your inner feminine to find the Light.
We now stand at a cosmic point of fulfillment, and can grow into a greater Truth and understanding by practicing creative visualization to shape our future circumstances. Adaptability and creativity will help us anchor forms of spiritual power which will show us the linkages we've established before now.

So, so, so true. The more timid I've been, the more I've been taken advantage of or perceived as prey by others.
Well, I'm through being deemed a victim by others.
A new Warrior Lady is in town, folks.

Hi All,
And Right On WL!
Thank you Robert...from your message it seems an enlightening phase is upon us.
I've been so busy on both business & social levels. I'm getting closer to friends who were on the outskirts of my social circles. Lately I'm around people whom I have more in common with than I originally thought.
I must share this: In recent weeks I've had clusters of psychic dreams & "parallels" (seeing or hearing things twice in a day). But the most overwhelming feeling overcame me one day, & it was all about January 2011.
Whenever I think about January it feels BIG, like a night filled with stars and candles! I have no idea what this means but do you have any foresight into what a general Aquarian might encounter in a few months?
I thank you for your insightful missions!
Orenda :-)

ThankYou Robert Wilkinson !!!
Here is my advice as we begin the century that will lead to 2081. First, guard the freedom of ideas at all costs. Be alert that dictators have always played on the natural human tendency to blame others and to oversimplify. And don't regard yourself as a guardian of freedom unless you respect and preserve the rights of people you disagree with to free, public, unhampered expression. ~Gerard K. O'Neill, 2081
Blessings !!!

"Group integration" . . . yes. A high five from the materializing dream and being part of that which is bigger than the self.

Hey WL, hate to sound like some ol granmaw here, but age wise I guess I'm like some ol granmaw here. I find it cool that you are aware of the victim role you've been playing. Would have saved me alot of heartache the last years.
The trust and betrayal game is wicked. When I started becoming aware of it, I realized it was easier to think there was something wrong with me than to accept that that other thing existed. I still get conned now and again, but I catch it faster and spit it out and move on. Has allowed me to focus on the work without fear of the axe coming down. Congrats on your progress. :D

Thank you Robert, as always. We had a record group of 19 people here for the Full Moon Group Saturday night. Our living room was packed, and we had four new people here. I used this article plus the one on meditation as two of the articles for discussion. You remain a very integral part of this little group, as we link up with all the many other groups and individuals here in this cantina and all the New Group of World Servers everywhere. You Rock, Bro!

Caliban,
Thank you for your take on the Trust and Betrayal Game.
Opened up a different perspective for me & was like a
key opening yet another door that was locked.
