Carmen Viola

Hmmm...my daughter and I have 13 Capricorn rising... I look forward to the developments

Chickie Farella

Carmen, I think "Viola" is the name of the artist within:):) My mother is a Viola and my cousin Bob is http://robertviola.com/ also an artist. We are from Chicago via Sicily>Pennsylvania!

Anyway this is an interesting moon as it hits my MC...hope that's good!

Chickie Farella

Ok Ur Highness....my s. node is 0 libra 6th house.....what up??

Jean

Robert,
Thanks so much! A very helpful, insightful, and hopeful analysis.
Namaste

Micheline

I felt that this weekend. I really did. I felt more peaceful with myself. I know it had to do with all those planets going direct too but ya and this full moon is right in my 5th house and within five degrees of my natal vertex at 17 d cap and my moon at 18 d cap but it opposes my part of fortune though.

It also though conjuncts my progressed venus at 13 cap and progressed mercury but they are posited in the 4th house of my progressed chart.

AceStar

13 Cap my Natal sun comes into action :))

Sagars

Happy Guru Purnima to Guru Robert and all his students.

May we all follow and spread the light like him in a "Guru-Shisya parampara" (Teacher-Student lineage).

:-)

Robert

Here's what I found in wikipedia about this sacred day - Guru Purnima - in the Hindu tradition: This was the day, when Krishna-Dwaipayana Vyasa – author of the Mahabharata – was born to sage Parashara and a fisherman's daughter Satyavati, thus this day is also celebrated as Vyasa Purnima. Veda Vyasa, did yeoman service to the cause of Vedic studies by gathering all the Vedic hymns extant during his times, dividing them into four parts based on their use in the sacrificial rites, and teaching them to his four chief disciples – Paila, Vaisampayana, Jaimini and Sumantu. It was this dividing and editing that earned him the honorific "Vyasa" (vyas = to edit, to divide).

"He divided the Veda into four, namely Rig, Yajur, Sama and Atharva. The histories and the Puranas are said to be the fifth Veda." - Brahmanda Purana 1.4.21 Vyasa Maharshi is the guru of all gurus. All prayers today to ones guru are directly reaching Vyasa. Vyasa maharshi has helped everyone to know vedas and puranas and lead life in a righteous way. Guru means one who removes darkness from ones life.

A mantra that is particularly used on this day is "Gurur Brahma, Gurur Vishnu, Gurur Devo Maheshwara, Guru Sakshat Parabrahmah Tasmai Shree Guru Veh Namah".

This day is also seen as an occasion when fellow devotees, Guru Bhai (disciple-brother), express their solidarity to one another in their spiritual journey.

May all Spiritual Brothers and Sisters remember the Wisdom, the Way, and the Community on this Sacred Day. Thanks for the reminder of this important point in time, Sagars.

Aquila ka Hecate

I wish I could say that mantra, Robert. But I'm such an old grouch at Full Moon in Capricorn. Sigh..it'll pass,as all things do.
Love,
Terri in Joburg

Ilse

Thanks again Robert!

caliban

Wow!!!! This packs power!

Sagars

Terri, two renditions of the mantra for you:

Robert, wanted to quote a related Sabian this morning when Moon at 19 Capricorn was in sextile to this symbol but power went off:
.
PISCES 19°: A MASTER INSTRUCTING HIS DISCIPLE.
.
KEYNOTE: The transfer of power and knowledge which keeps the original spiritual and creative Impulse of the cycle active and undeviated.
.
The Hindu ideal of the sacred relationship between guru and chela (disciple) has of late become familiar to a vast number of young and not-so-young people. The doctrine of "the Apostolic succession" in the Roman Catholic Church has a similar significance. The Power and archetypal knowledge released "in the beginning" of any cycle (or at "Creation") must be perpetuated until the very Last Day — the Omega state of which Teilhard de Chardin glowingly speaks. This Power is the "self" of the cyclic manifestation, the unchanging Tone (AUM) of all existences within this cycle. It can be transmitted from master to disciple at the latter's "Initiation." It must be so transmitted for when the line of transmission (in Sanskrit, guruparampara) is discontinued, the cyclic process begins to collapse in futility and spiritual darkness.
.
This fourth stage symbol gives us a clue to the supreme technique necessary for the continuation of all manifestations of power and spiritual understanding. The transmission is from person to person; it follows ageneral, unchanging pattern, yet it operates in terms of particular and individual circumstances.
.
Keyword:INVESTITURE.
.

Sagars

And these words from Lynda Hill:
.

The Karmic Condition (the degree before) of the Moon is:
.
Capricorn 12: A Student Of nature Lecturing, Revealing Little-Known Aspects Of Life. This is a powerful degree and many of it's blessings will be obvious from the wording of the Symbol.
.
Whether one is a 'student' or a 'teacher' is a subjective question, but for sure we are always both, especially when conditions feel supercharged as they do currently. The environment and issues to do with climate and wild weather and freak events are certainly all in the news and in our conversations.
.
Keywords: Observing and translating so others may learn. Green politics. Issues the conservatives don’t want revealed. Nature and natural remedies. Science and its rewards and drawbacks. Issues such as global warming. Whistle blowers. Natural healing methods. Documentaries. Conspiracy theories.
.

Sagars

Even the karmic degree of Sun in this lunation carrying a similar theme:
.
(CANCER 12°): A CHINESE WOMAN NURSING A BABY WHOSE AURA REVEALS HIM TO BE THE REINCARNATION OF A GREAT TEACHER.
.
KEYNOTE: The revelation of latent worth in an experience once it is seen in its deeper meaning.
.

And all this reminding of your words:

"...since we all are students who are answered by the Host in the order we raise our hands. Me too. We're all in this classroom together."

Happy Guru Purnima to everyone once again! :-)

Chickie Farella

? Ur Highness.....if the full moon was in my 10th....using aries rising chart, however using progressive chart it's in my 7th...using my leo solar chart it's in my 6th....where's my thinking here?

ull

"a strong will is required to face (some) issue at stake".
Very true right now.
