Today I want to send a big Happy to one of the most intense actors I've enjoyed in a long time, the amazing Jonny Lee Miller of "Elementary."
Yes, I really like "Elementary," the latest incarnation of "Sherlock Holmes" with Jonny playing the Master with his sidekick Dr. Watson (played in the series by Lucy Liu.). Jonny is one edgy Sherlock, just as brilliant as Conan Doyle could have ever wanted, but given a modern twist.
While Basil Rathbone - great name! - played the best Sherlock of my childhood, my all time favorite is Jeremy Brett (3 November 1933 – 12 September 1995), another very edgy Scorpio. While there have been many who played the part of the brilliant pioneering "consulting detective," I don't really like a lot of what Hollyweird has done to Sherlock. So Jonny is a welcome change in the character!
Jonny was born 15 November 1972 at Kingston upon Thames, London (don't have an exact birth time yet, but it'll come....) so for those of you who want to look up his solar positions, by all means. And if you're inclined to check out his television series "Elementary," it's a lot of fun, very cerebral, and does honor to the legacy of Sherlock.
So here's a very Happy and Merry to Jonny, the latest (and one of the better) incarnations of the Master Detective!
