We've got a Full Moon coming! This Full Moon at 8 Capricorn-Cancer is deep, sensitive, self-organizing, penetrating, and offers us all the possibility of moving into a higher way of life through imitating whatever is needed to feel that life as ours. This two weeks opens the door to a life renewal for those who “hear the call,” and through showing mastery at “flying by the seat of the pants,” many will find themselves accepting higher responsibilities.
I figured since this was already done, I'd give you a front end look at what we can expect to see happening over the next two weeks. Today's article will cover an overview of the Lunation and some of its primary qualities. Part 2 will cover the various rising signs around the globe and the Sabian Symbols. Part 3 will cover the aspects, configurations and patterns, and which signs are most likely to be affected by where this falls in their charts.
This initiating and intensely magnetic Full Moon increasing personal power and sensitivity falls at 8 degrees of Capricorn and Cancer. This Lunation, helping us settle into playing enjoyable roles expressed through imitative behavior, occurs December 28 at 2:21 am PST, 5:21 am EST, and 10:21 am Greenwich (UT).
An overview of this period ruled by this Full Moon shows it will illuminate our ability to enjoy playing a role we were born to play while accepting certain limitations as more boon than bondage. This is where we show personal authorship in the social-emotional realm through shining the light of the fears we’ve overcome since Spring 2012.
The focus of the light will reveal a new way to experience life and grow into a higher state through “imitative behavior.” Many will find the core of their strength they can reference as a bulwark of security amidst the total chaos promised by this Lunation.
When in doubt, fall back on your humanitarian inclinations, find that which holds scattered impulses together, overcome insecurity through patience, compassion, and forgiveness. It will also be important to keep in mind that we’re ALL moving through a very powerful Yod, or Finger of God, that is the focus of this Lunation. That’s because the Sun is conjunct Pluto, sextile Saturn, and quincunx Jupiter, reigniting the “expansion through sacrifice” theme of the Solstice. Links to articles about these at the end of this post.
This Full Moon will ultimately be stabilizing and comforting for those who confront the deep transformations promised by the Sun conjunct Pluto sextile Saturn. No Fear!! This is squeezing out all the mental chatter that would deflect us away from the productive concentration of magnetism promised by the sextile.
Here we awaken or reawaken “unforgettable inner ties,” and begin to feel the long term structuring power offered to humanity at this time. This is the next step in learning the power of harmlessness, becoming fearless to radiate a calm that transcends normal understanding. It began Spring 2012, and now takes us into the unknown with personal power and a deepened experience of life, relationships, and responsibilities. As this sextile will be with us for quite a while, relax into the intensified feelings and experience the beginning of the emergence of some “group consciousness.”
Ultimately this is an initiating, transformative Full Moon, and given the aspects in play, the next two weeks will be self-gathering, nurturing, and rich in experiences. There will be polarizations, but whether realizations or separation, they will be stabilizing, harmonizing, and show the way to life renewal by “hearing the call,” and then accepting that because of your deepest inner convictions and dedications, along with past and present training, you’re now the master of some “subtle realm” and can accept a certain “recognized authority” as you fly through that realm.
Structure creating inner and outer space to welcome the authorship that will come from that space. Though some will experience a challenge from Nature Herself, it’s so that you may be liberated from adverse conditions that galvanize you to action. Watch for the “flash flood” and rise to the occasion through mobilizing to act with an eye to the big picture.
The big action is found in the ongoing major Yod, or Finger of God, in play for several weeks between Saturn and Pluto both quincunx the nozzle of the Yod, Jupiter in Gemini. Though the Yod was exact on the Solstice and is now separating, due to a phenomenon called “translation of light,” the Sun is re-triggering that “expansion through sacrifice” energy in this Full Moon.
This brings the light of deepest awareness to the productive possibilities in that “sacred signature” the Yod symbolizes. Give whatever up that you need to, get focused, and be a good juggler as you take aim at whatever target is yours to hit.
The other big news is the Grand Irrationality is back front and center thanks to the Sun conjunct Pluto and septile Neptune. This long wave configuration has been rocking all our boats for many years, and shows us why so many things are irrational, obsessive-compulsive, and hard edged in our world. We’ve all been living with the generic weirdness of The Grand Irrationality for so long that many are at their wits’ end trying to make sense of it.
Things will continue not to make much sense for a few more years before this generic strangeness will fade into history. Still, for now, we will see it powered up, which will lead us all to more critical decisions, choices, and changes that will throw our destiny forward, shaped by those decisions and choices. Here it’s good to remember there are many ways to express a choice so others don’t misunderstand.
As Saturn in Scorpio leads the occupied span in this Lunation, eliminate whatever you need to that would interfere with you accepting the new duties, responsibilities, and self-determination you’re gathering. The space created can attract circumstances and people through which we can develop skills helping us deal with the wild ride of The Grand Irrationality that's in continuous motion during these months and years. (The degree spans in that article applied then; I updated those spans in the recent article on Mercury going stationary direct influencing the next 4 months.
To sum up, it’ll be a highly active two weeks, and even if decisions are a bit difficult to make, make sure you’re working off of up to date information and understanding and have a clear vision of what life would look like after the decision. Any imbalances show the way to power if you can figure out how to compensate for what’s lacking. Keep your eyes on the prize, and take it one step at a time!

oh yeah and neptune still trining 0'cancer sun, divine mother still in range too, saturn on my 1st house neptune, the clarity from the ancient unseen world has been mind expanding beyond belief as it applies to the now time, they knew so very much back then that had been lost, so good to know that the further we move into the future the closer to ancient times we become, fortunately for me, the humbling experiences from my life, like many, will keep ethics alive and ego at bay, thank goodness!
So I dont know how many of you lovely people on here have had as seemingly diabolical time the last several years, as I have and lost or chose to let go of most of what had been built on the outdated structure and rules, I have no doubt there are many of you, just offering my encouragement to keep going, keep looking deeply and pay attention to what needs to go or is going beyond your control, you will see the silver lining of those dark heavy clouds as Robert and others have been inspiring to do, we may have realised just how alone we are, but we are together in being alone too, so not alone at all :)
Thank you Robert and your beautiful yet honest words and the other folks they have attracted to share in this safe online community. Celebrate each step of the way. Namaste

My north node is 6 Capricorn. I am not sure if that is close enough of an orb to be a karmic experience this full moon.
I have been out of work for exactly a year now and I want very much to work in a new capacity. It seems this Full Moon in Capricorn, in my 5th house, (although my 6th house is ruled by Cap. beginning at 12 Cap. That kind of seems like it would be the beginning of something solid, stable and potentially boring? Of course Saturn is coming very close to my natal Saturn in Scorpio @ 14Deg Scorpio..so I am in the process of having a Saturn return. I feel like something exciting is coming but with all the Saturn and Cap energy....that doesn't seem likely!! Thanks for all that you do on this site, and Happy New Year to you Robert...
